There is very limited hotel parking, but plenty onstreet, which is free from 6pm until 9am.
Rooms are pretty small, even by IBIS standards.

Called ahead and asked my three important questions, is the included breakfast with eggs and bacon/sausages and Is there WiFi ? Is there parking ? Well I went to breakfast the first morning of my two night stay to be told that there is no eggs, no bacon/sausages, complained, next morning only my wife went to breakfast to get her coffe as it made no sense for my son and I to go as we would have to go out to look for our breakfast, my wife was back in five minutes, I asked what happened? “The coffee machine broken “ . WIFI, the first night ok, normal hotel connection, second night it was non existent, my wife who speaks french called front desk to be told “ oh it does that” and that was it, no more WiFi . Would I stay again ? NO. Would I recommend? Only if you only want pastries for breakfast and do not need WiFi.

When we checked in and inquired about gluten free items at breakfast as previously requested, the clerk said that was not something they did. But then at breakfast the next day, they gave us some gluten free cereal and bread that the morning clerk had went out and bought specifically for us. We really appreciated that they went to the trouble, but it would have been nice if the evening clerk and said they would see what they could do.
Rooms are small and overall hotel is not as nice compared to other Best Western hotels we stayed in on the same trip to France.

This is hotel is located next to the Le Mans station and therefore location is perfect for anyone who wants to travel by train early in the morning.

Overnight stop over on way home from holiday, so only there for a few hours. Adjoining rooms provided were perfect with young family. Very friendly welcome. Although rooms were clean, we felt they needed a little updating. Would recommend.

Le Mans is difficult to drive & park in so we opted for a hotel on the outskirts. It is a 15 min walk to the old town or you can catch a tram and then it's less than 5 mins.
You are right next to the train station but it was not too noisy. There are few places to eat or drink around but you can walk into town for that. Good parking but it is NOT free despite what was told on Hotel.com website.

Lovely hotel short walk from main area
We stopped her on the way back from chamonix last weekend. I was really happy with the lovely big room and bottles of water in our room. The receptionist was really helpful. I would definitely stay here if I was visiting Le Mans again.

Don't understand why we pay taxes at hotel when we thought we paid at the time of booking. Why are clients not informed of the newly introduced parking fees. Room very small. Always nice breakfast, good selection. WiFi rubbish.

Booked for a family of four and on arrival we had been given two rooms with adjoining doors which was perfect. Breakfast was included and for what we paid the room & breakfast were excellent.

Had overnight stay at this hotel while travelling through France. It is quite an old hotel but very clean and 10 minutes walk from centre of town.It was right next to train station. Bed was comfortable. There are free drinks and snacks in reception area and some children's toys, so a good option for families. As a good value stopover I couldn't fault it.

The Receptionist was so welcoming and informative, English was excellent. When we arrived in the area we were disappointed, feeling it was not great. Wondered where we could go for the evening. The Receptionist quickly explained how easy it was for us to get to a nice area for dinner. Giving us a choice of mid or high level restaurants and how we would get there.

Booked rooms for a party of six as an over night stop during a long journey. Our expectations were not unrealistic and we just wanted a bed for the night. Upon arrival we were informed the hotel did not have a family room for us, as pre booked and confirmed, and that we would have to pay for an additional room. Although very polite the hotel receptionist was adamant about this but fortunately after calling Expedia this was resolved.
The hotel was in a poor state, dirty and smelly. The rooms were grubby, with filthy windows and carpets that were damp due to flooding from the very small bathrooms.
The breakfast was okay but there was poor selection and the dining area was reminiscent of a seventies motorway cafe.
I would strongly recommend you do not stay here.

Fantastic value for money
We were really pleased with this hotel. We had 2 adjoining rooms - both big, comfortable and clean. Staff were really helpful. Nice touch having croissants, coffee and water permanently in reception area (plus little computers for kids to play on). It was such good value for money. Breakfast area was not amazing, but did the job. The only issue was the noise from the station/trains but it wasn't a big problem once we'd closed the windows.

Le Mans Gare Sud - serviceable
This is your basic standard hotel. Nothing wrong w/ it, but nothing to recommend it either, save that it's very convenient to the train station. On the other hand, the train station neighborhood (as has often been the case in Europe) is a little on the sketchy side. Unusually for a French hotel, breakfast is included, but it's also just serviceable. My impression is that this hotel relies on business trade, which is to say a place where companies don't have to pay much to house their reps.

Safety issue- Beware!
I would recommend that this hotel not be offered to Americans, no matter the price. It is literally next door to the train station with a lot of train riders passing through. The front door is always open. The single female employee of the hotel overseas the front desk and leaves desk to see to hotel room problems. A 2nd employee was available to oversee breakfast service on another floor on Monday morning. Not only is there no safe in the room, but hotel does not have a safe at the front desk to sign for either. Of course, no minibar.

J'ai passé deux nuits. La décoration de la chambre m'a bien plu. La rénovation créée du chamboulement, mais on fait pas d'omelette sans casser d'œufs.
La literie était agréable.
3 petites choses : il n'y a pas de brosse à WC, le système audio de la tv qui se situe dans le mur au niveau de la tête de lit fonctionne par intermittence ce qui crée une gêne auditive. (chambre 401), s'il était possible de prévoir une bagagerie après les travaux.
Le petit déjeuner est bien comme il faut, ainsi que le personnel que j'ai rencontré.

J'étais LA SEULE dans cet immense hôtel en réfection : à peine de lumière à l'accueil, pas du tout de lumière dans le couloir menant à ma chambre, petit déjeuner : j'ai été chercher mon plateau au 1er ét≥, à peine éclairé, gobelets en carton, couverts en plastique : Glauque, horrible. A coté de la gare du Mans, dans un quartier assez calme (trop calme le dimanche car tres peu de restaurants ouverts à proximité), hotel sympa.

Hôtel idéalement situé, à côté de la gare centrale et à proximité du centre ville. La chambre bien que petite était bien agencée. Dans notre chambre 1 seule prise électrique servant à alimenter la télé, ce qui est assez rare pour un hôtel 3* surtout à une époque ou téléphones, ordinateurs portables font partis du quotidien. Heureusement des multiprises sont à dispositions à la réception. Très bon petit déjeuner salé/sucré servi dans une très belle salle. Personnel de l'hôtel très serviable et très accueillant. Sur le site il était indiqué que la réservation d'une place de parking n'était pas indispensable et pour cause il ni a que 5 places de disponibles et remises aux premiers arrivants. La place de parking pouvant être un critère important pour les clients je pense que cela devrait être plus clairement indiqué dans le descriptif.
