We had to book here at very short notice when our pre booked accommodation cancelled on us. Hotel was fine, general corridor areas need modernising. Room was small staff helpfully stored our bikes. Hotel was in good location 10mins to town and 20 to the train station. Breakfast was limited not worth extra money. Stay was fine but wouldnt choose it again.

Overall was a nice hotel but was missing a lot of standard amenities. Space in the room was very tight. No coffee or tea in the room. We came down and asked for some ice as there was no ice machines around and were given a glass with 4 cubes. When we asked the next day they said they had none. TV had no international Channels. They could do a lot better for an international market. I would not stay there again.

The address on google maps put us way off. Took us an hour to find the hotel. One found, check in was easy. Romm was clean and quiet. We paid extra for parking, but car was secure underground and less distance to haul baggage! Many restaurants across the river in the old area, but some require reservations as they are busy!

Petit déjeuner très bien.
Les chambres de l’hôtel ne sont pas rénovées. Elles auraient grand besoin de l’être, j’ai vu une robinetterie avec beaucoup de saleté, plafond avec des taches noires qui sont assurément des champignons. Prochaine fois au Mans, je vais chercher un autre hôtel.

Terrible in all areas. No ice in bar, food looked cheap and nasty so didn’t order breakfast, lights didn’t work in room. Heating didn’t work in room. Parking difficulties. Room was cold. Shower room small. Staff useless and the smell of the reception person was disgusting. On these notes. I will never stay at this hotel again

Nice hotel across the river from the town. Comfortable rooms and beds. Good air con. All very clean. Carpets look a bit soiled in the lobby etc. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Would recommend booking the under hotel garage parking. Le Mans is a lively city full of things to see and do.

Stayed for a couple of nights. Easy check-in with my dog. the hotel is clean and the staff friendly. The room was clean with everything for me and my dog to be comfortable. the hotel is well located, free parking in front of the hotel, a tram that takes you to 24h le Mans circuit, and small walking distance to the old city.

We wanted somewhere within easy walking distance of Le Mans old town to break our journey from the south west of France. This hotel was perfectly located, just across the river.
Staff were friendly, especially to our dog, and the breakfast buffet was good. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. A very easy place to stay for a night, but we would use it again for a longer stay, as Le Mans is such a beautiful town.

Disappointing for an Ibis.

A building site outside and very difficult to find the entrance. No clear signs and a gravel path leading to the entrance so very dificult do use a wheeled case. The room only had two very soft pillows and we were woken at 8am by building work below our room.

Plus, the hotel tried to charge us for an adult breakfast even though it clearly said adult breakfast was for 12 years and above.

Me and my husband were driving back from London after the New Year holiday. Our ferry arrived Dover early evening so we decided to stay a night at Le Mans and we had chosen Ibis Hotel which we used quite often . The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast was around €10 per person , a bit expensive since I ate just a croissant, a fruit and 2 cups of coffee but my husband had a full one and the food was nice, so no complaints. The room is small but tidy with sound proof walls so we could have a good night sleep after hours of driving. The only downside of the Hotel is the lack of parking spaces. There are only a few in front of the hotel and you need to pay €11 to park at their garage. Apart from this, this is a agreeable place for a night stay as there’s nothing interesting around the area. I will stay at this hotel again.

Good for overnight stay, would not want to stay for more than a weekend. Receptionist could have told us, but didn't, that the following day was a saint's holy day/national holiday and everywhere and everything was closed, shut, fermé !! Short menu restaurant but good grub at a reasonable price.

Very convenient for Le Mans' historic centre.

Le Mans has one of the most spectacular mediaeval cathedrals in France, located in an even older neighbourhood. The Hotel is ideally placed to explore the local sights and many fine cafés and restaurants, being just 5 mins walk from the lovely old town.

Nice hotel close to amenities and restaurants

My husband and myself had originally booked and paid for a twin room and a triple room which were non refundable, as our son our daughter were going to join us. They then were not able to join us leaving us with a room that we did not require. As a kind gesture, Celine, the excellent receptionist, offered that we could have a breakfast in exchange for the room we did not use. It was a very good breakfast too.

We stayed in the triple room which was excellent with the third single bed being in a little room with its own door and tv. A very good design we thought.

Would definitely stay here again if visiting Le Mans.

Hotel was well situated by the river in quiet area across the the river from the wonderful Plantagenet city we came to visit,plenty of places to eat in the city,we ate at the hotel which was very nice,the hotel was very quiet at night and we had a nice breakfast in the morning,the air conditioning was wonderful in the 36degree heat.Only negative was a Frenchman pushed infront of us at reception and the girl served him before us ,when we had been waiting ten minutes,fortunately another lady came to our rescue.

Booked as a 1 night stop over was fabulous.
Facilities were just as expensive but excellent value for money. Equivalent to British premier inn but classier and much cheaper. Breakfast was good too. Great location right on river with 5min walk into old town. Parking was quite tricky as we had tall 4x4 with roofbox that wouldn't fit in underground garage but there are lots of free spaces around the hotel . Would go again. Family with 4 children.

It's not luxe, but it's a good place to stay. Has everything you need, and is very clean. Location by the river and walking distance to the centuries-old part of town is a big plus. There are a lot of restaurants in that area.
A tram moves people around the city.

Hotel is located on the river only a short walk from the main town. Parking was difficult when we arrived as the surrounding roads were busy. I enquired at the hotel if there was parking and I was given a code for the underground car park. We parked our car and checked in. Not once was I told that we would be charged for the car park and now I have been sent an email saying I owe money.........

Great place, but nothing on menu for vegetarians..

Great overnight stop on a long drive, with a good sleep. We arrived at night and happily saw the restaurant was open. But unfortunately there was nothing, not even omelettes for vegetarians. Too tired to go out so we dined on bread, cheese and wine in the room instead, which was fine as we had a good lunch. But it was a pity.

We stayed for 3 nights in September 2014. The hotel is quite easy to find and has secure underground parking.The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. We ate each night in the hotel restaurant and the food was good value for money. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful.

Superb hotel, staff very friendly, great location!

We were 4 motorcyclists in Le Mans for the 24hr Moto race. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were met by a very friendly receptionist, check-in was quick & easy and the rooms were fantastic. Location is 5 minute walk to the Old Town area so handy for bars & restaurants. Had a few drinks in the bar one night and again, the staff were friendly & attentive. Overall, our stay was absolutely superb, would definitely stay there again!

We booked this hotel as an overnight stop on our way back through France to Calais. It was nice and modern and the room was perfect for our needs. Our son loved the fact our 3 bed room actually included a single bed in a little side room. He was very impressed with his wall mounted TV and watched some French cartoons.

All the facilities were great. Free WiFi was useful.

We ate in the restaurant downstairs and the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome.

I wouldn't hesitate to book a room in this hotel again if ever I was visiting Le Mans again.

Excellent value for money!

Everything you'd expect from an Ibis, if you've stayed before. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable. The shower was powerful and the water was as hot as you can tolerate. The room was thoroughly clean. The location is brilliant, 5 minutes from the Old Town, if that.

We stayed for breakfast on one of our mornings. It was good, pretty standard continental breakfast (croissants, bread, cheese, ham). Croissants were delivered regularly so were mostly warm. It was very convenient. We didn't have dinner as there's a lot of restaurants about which we wanted to try. The selection looked good though. We had a couple of drinks out on the terrace in the sun which has a view of the Old Town, and the river right next to the hotel. Very enjoyable.

All the staff were very friendly; smiling whenever we passed through, answering questions and being generally helpful in providing directions and the like. We felt very welcome.

One downside, get rid of the one horrible wood-chip, brown wall! But that's it, promise.

I'd definitely go back and stay again!
