Stayed here March 1 & 2, 2026 alone and it was a very nice hotel. Staff were very friendly and super helpful as well, including recommending a boat tour on the Sunday I was there, which I took and loved! Close to the train station and town, alot of restaurants really close as well. View of the Rhein was very nice!

The location in Boppard is perfect, right on the river promenade. Being from USA, the hotel was like taking a trip back into history, with all of the modern amenities. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was exceptional. We used the restaurant for breakfast, very large selection; for coffee and cake during midafternoon; and for dinner on our last night. We explored some of the other neighborhood restaurants for some of our meals. Bottom line is if you stay at the Hotel Bellevue to explore the Rhine river you will not be sorry.

We stayed in a separate place a short walk from the hotel. A beautiful, large living room with a gorgeous view of the water. Loved how quiet it was there and the walkability of the town to go eat dinner. Would need a car to drive to other towns instead of taking a train but I can't really give opinion on train accessibility since we had a car.

Perfect place to stay!

Nice hotel and beautiful location. We stayed in the separate building which seemed brand new and was great for our family. The only bummer was we had no WiFi so we had to go to the main hotel and sit in the lobby. They said they were trying to get it fixed but we stayed two nights and never had WiFi. Other than that, we had delicious dinners both nights at their restaurant and loved the location to get on the river boat . We’d definitely stay again.

Such a lovely hotel with a yester-year vibe. Seems kinda stuck in the past a bit but has good bones, lovely outside terrace, friendly staff, clean, could witb a redesign in room & bath it could be more refined & generate a new generation of patrons. I liked the location very much and would recommend simply for that. Support this lovely establishment.

Very nice property and staff at reception and housekeeping is very friendly. Staff provided a wheelchair (post surgery) and the property was easy enough to navigate. The only downside, I am sorry to say, is the breakfast. On a Saturday morning it was chaotic with everything from bread to cold cuts and plain cheeses being gone. You had to ask for coffee mugs. Got one. Had to ask for a second. Had to ask for coffee again. Had to ask for knives (which were not available anywhere). After 20 min bread and cold cuts were refilled - slowly and droves of people emptied everything right away. We skipped dinner in the restaurant after that experience. With limited mobility we went back for the Sunday breakfast. That was better but it was still difficult to get coffee and I could not get someone to bring more coffee later. I had the impression that the staff was overwhelmed and stressed. Perhaps staff shortages or a lot of new hires. With a Michelin restaurant on site I would have expected better breakfast management and staff training. I personally would not return but under different circumstances other guests may have an excellent experience.

Make sure to reserve a spot in the spacious hotel garage around the corner. Without that parking can be a challenge.

As ever, this hotel is a wonderful place to stay, right beside the Rhein, and it feels like walking into another world. It’s a great place to get away to, with one or two really good restaurants (including its own) close by. Breakfast is very much recommended here as well.

Lovely hotel on the Rhine though my room did not have a view. The rooms are very large. The hotel bar is cozy and well managed. Hotel staff is great. Good location for exploring the middle Rhine. Maybe 5 minute walk to train station. Boppard hotels will give you a guest ticket for local trains/buses.

I have stayed at this Hotel on three previous occasions and loved it. This time we had to change rooms in the middle of our stay due to our mattresses being substandard/damaged. Hotel was flooded with cruise groups that were loud and somewhat obnoxious. All in all,not a great experience. Willing to give it one more chance next year!

Can't get any better area by the Rhein. Luckily we have reserved a space for our car. Their car park is a few blocks behind the hotel. Just check in first then park your car. The room is a what I expected. Electric fan provided as ' no air con'. It is common for old building hotels have no air con.
Perfect temperature to sleep would be in Winter. Great selction of breakfast food. Would love to come back for river view room next time.

We stayed in the apartment. It was nice but would stay in the main hotel in future. Apartment feels a bit isolated and there is no room service there. Also apartment is directly in front of noisy ferry dock. Carrying baggage to and from hotel was a bit inconvenience for us.

However, on the whole, hotel Bellevue is exceptional in term of location and service. We would stay in the same hotel again in future.

This was a great hotel looking straight onto the Rhine. My room was a good size and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was fine, with a decent shower and breakfast was excellent, even though I was in a rush due to the usual Deutsche Bahn cancellations and having to change my plans.

I used the swimming pool, which was excellent, and generally enjoyed my afternoon and evening there. Recommend it!

Our room overlooked the Rhine River. It was very conveniently located.
Check in procedure was fair didn’t tell us about half the services of the hotel.
Told us that, even though we were paying the same rate as everyone else in the hotel, we would not get free breakfast because we booked this through Hotels.com/Expedia, when we questioned him on this, there was no response.
I tried reaching Hotels.com through the app unsuccessfully.
This hotel needs to be updated mattresses are extremely old squeaky caved in.
The shower was a tiny corner add on shower with little doors, you can barely turn around inside the shower stall . The view of the river watching the boats go by definitely improved the experience.

We arrived very early in the morning, we were met by a friendly and helpful receptionist. The hotel is situated right on the river Rhein. We stayed in an apartment which was very clean and comfortable, with a river view. The town itself was not very big but it had all lot packed into it. Lots of restaurants and shops.

Great views, be careful what room they give you.

Fantastic hotel, in beautiful location. Great pool.
We paid extra for a river view room, but were very disappointed to find a scaffolding tower to the side of our balcony blocking half the view. The room was set back from the front of the hotel and so the remaining view was limited (Room 501). We asked to move, the staff were very accommodating, but it would have to be next day as they were full. When we got back from our day out and went to the new room, we were not impressed. Room was almost directly below first room, balcony was a flat roof shared by 3 other rooms (with scaffold still but not directly in our line of view) and again set right back from the front of the hotel. You had to go to the front of the shared roof to see the view - which was magnificent. Felt staff had been very disingenuous to have moved us to a worse room and not said anything. If paying for a river view check your room first!
We did have a lovely time in Boppard and made the most of it but it did cast a shadow over the stay. I definitely wouldn't stay again but if you get a room with a decent view, you will have a great stay.

The rooms need air conditioning!

There’s nothing wrong with this hotel except that the rooms need air conditioning. If it’s hot and you open a window, you will be woken up at 6am by the church bells that will then chime every 15 mins. There are also some dangerous steps around the hotel that my mother in law fell on.

Since parking is nearby it was impossible to get to due to riverfront market event. All parking garages were full and could not get to hotel since roads were blocked. Had to hail cab and park in outskirts of town and then take cab to hotel. Inconvenient but staff were very helpful once we arrived.

The residence in which we found the suite was quiet and well thought out. As far as I could see, all the rooms had a view of the river. The balcony for our room was very private, not overlooked by any others in the hotel. The bathroom was very stylish and lacked nothing we needed.

I wasn't very happy that the entrance to the residence was not well lit, meaning that our late check in was difficult. It took us quite some time to even find the correct building, and then, since there was no light in the porch, we had to use our phone torch to illuminate the door whilst we worked out how the key card opened up the door.

The room was really nice and the property well located in a charming town. Hotels.com lists the property as 5 star. Our room was a one bedroom suite in the apartments. The physical property itself could make it, everything is new and immaculate, but the services offered and amenities are not consistent with a 5 star property. When we checked in, were were assigned a room 150M down the road, and there was not a bellman to take our bags, or any offer to assist. When we got to the building, there were some stairs before you get to the elevator level, which was a bit of a struggle to overcome. The bed and bedding was great.The room had no facecloths, and the shower had a bottle of combo shampoo, conditioner and body wash; what you often see in 2-3 star places. We would have been really disappointed if we did not have some products we pilfered from another high end hotel earlier in the trip.The telephone had no menu as to how to call the front desk or restaurant or anywhere else for that matter. All first world problems, but don't expect the Four Seasons.We would stay here again, but would come in with adjusted expectations.

We booked one of the luxury apartments that they advertise online. The room as spectacular. The directions on parking and getting into the hotel was the worst. We arrived and had trouble finding where to park. I went in and got the hotel key and was advised to park in the garage. You would never find this garage unless someone walked you to it. It was 9pm and you could not see the signs (no lights) and you had to wave your key card at a sensor to open the garage to get in. After several minutes of trying to find the garage and looping around (one way streets), we went back in and asked someone to walk down to show us. A very nice gentleman that works there took us back down and showed us where to park. He opened the door for us and said that he wanted to make sure that the key card worked for our rim. It did not. He said that they were having issues with new locks. Our keys did not work. He let us in and then we would come down to the bar and get a new key. We got the key, had some snacks and drinks. We walked back to the apartment area at about 10:30. The keys did not work. We called down to someone that came out about 10 minutes later came down to open the door. The room and view were beautiful. We checked out the next morning around 9am. No issues other than what I wrote, but found it frustrating that we never had a working key to our room during our entire stay.

The room we were shown first didn’t had a view so we asked for a room with a river view. We were told it will be 10 to 12 Euros more per night which was ok with us and we took the room. Room once you split the beds into twin was too small and made going around little uncomfortable. The bathroom was very small with pedestal sink without any place to put our amenities. The shower /bathtub arrangement was the worse we have seen in any hotel in Germany. It was out right dangerous to get in and out. The half glassdoor was not sufficient to keep the water in we ended up using towels to dry the bathroom floor after each shower. Which was very annoying and unsafe. At the end we we were surprised to find a 50 Euro charge which we didn’t notice when checking out. It was called business pkg and little sneaky as we were not told. As per our reservation we already had free WiFi and we paid extra for river view.

I can't say enough nice things about this beautiful, charming, luxurious, family run, very professional hotel. Everyone spoke excellent English and I was able to neglect my German studies yet again. The front desk was able to help in a medical emergency early on a Sunday morning. Each restaurant was delightful, tempting all taste buds. This hotel is ideally situated in the Middle Rhine a Unesco world heritage site. Just jump aboard The KD Rhine boat tour across the street. You will see castle after castle. Each Room is larger than expected with all amenities. The cityscape or river view is sure to inspire awe. Can't wait to go back.

The location is perfect, right on the river. The hotel staff and facilities were great with comfortable rooms, delicious food at the restaurant Le Bristol, and friendly staff. We also did the brunch on Sunday which was fantastic and our children loved baking cookies with the chef in the kitchen. She was super warm and sweet and the kids had a great time leaving us parents to enjoy a glass of wine.

Nice old-style hotel though could use a little update - pull the red carpets and get rid of all the fake flower arrangements everywhere. Bottled water upon checkout is a nice touch, until you open the bottle and find its sparkling mineral water (and it’s warm). Great location. Beautiful view. Lovely front desk staff.

A really good hotel with beautiful, traditional, furnishings, pictures and drapes. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. We were unfortunate with the reception staff at both check in and out. When we arrived we were told, firmly, that our room would not be ready until 3pm (is this the Expedia penalty?) we returned after 3pm and it still was not ready so we voiced our disappointment and displeasure and a (better?) room was found. At check out the women first tried to charge for breakfast that we had not taken and then another, her boss?, tried to charge for the tax that was included in my Expedia rate. She was very unpleasant and brusque and spoilt the start to our day, what a shame that two unhelpful people could spoil an otherwise pleasant stay.

Quaint in a small town right on the Rhine river. Boats passing by all day. Small elevator and not much help with bags. Place was older but well-kept - but clientele was also older and possibly touring retirees. Priced high for what was offered. Good breakfast.

All of Bopard town is cursed with train passing every 5 minutes.
The place is stylish and clean. No ac but night was mangable with the fan. Good breakfast

A must for anybody travelling down the Rhine.

Unbelievable hotel. Staff, room and facilities are brilliant. A must for anybody travelling down the Rhine. The hotel is positioned on the front facing the river and the rooms are very large and spacious. We have been to this hotel twice now due to it being the only one in Boppard with a pool. The pool is small but every time we have been in it has been quiet so that is not an issue. The bar outside is amazing to drink in at night. Amazing place!!

Found this hotel on Expedia — what a wonderful find! This is a spectacular hotel — grand old beauty right on the Rhine. Beautiful beer garden outside along the river. Everything about this hotel was old-school elegant and enjoyable.
