What a great hotel 👍
A lovely, historic building in the centre of a gorgeous town with very friendly locals, supermarkets , pubs and restaurants all within a few minutes walk. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and there is free gated private parking. Breakfast was sooo good. Plus it’s dog friendly (€13.50 supplement) We had a smashing stay and would be delighted to recommend it to everyone. ❤️

The staff were very kind and friendly, and the room was relatively clean. However, the Wi-Fi was extremely disappointing — it kept disconnecting every few minutes, and I had to leave the room each time just to reconnect. The signal was very weak. Also, the floor made a very loud noise every time we walked, almost like something out of a horror movie.

Most unfriendly service. Not used to that in Germany! Room was very smelly. Did not improve much by opening the window throughout my stay. One good thing to mention was the dinner. Excellent but little pricey compared to similar quality elsewhere.

I chose this hotel based on the car park and for this reason Hotel Grebel is good. A private car park that is secured via a roll up shutter at night, which has a push button to electronically open it if you need to exit.
The staff are nice, but limited on English if you are unable to converse in German. There are two flights of stairs up to the room, but no lift, so someone who needs assistance may choose elsewhere. Cosy room with vintage style wardrobe, plenty of space for shirts and shelving for clothes/shoes. Sofa, TV and desk/chair in room, but no bin for rubbish nor cup for water. No bother to me as I used the commercial bin in the car park and had bottled water with me.
Bathroom was well stocked and shower worked well. Towels were replaced daily and bed remade. Couple of holes in the wall here and there, but clean enough.
Biggest problem with my room was a loud annoying whine like a boiler/generator coming through the wall from next door, which I'm sure was a different building to the hotel. Despite this I slept well as the shutters on the window making the room pitch black and reduce outside noises.
The hotel restaurant was closed on the Friday when I arrived, but was packed with locals and guests on the Saturday and Sunday. The locals also make use of the car park, so if you come back late with a vehicle you may have to squeeze in at the back. Additionally I could not get the WIFI to work.
I would use this Hotel again, but a different room.

Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Hotel in quiet area most of the time, only noise from people using pizza takeaway nearby. On the downside bar and restaurant weren't open in the evening and fairly limited choice nearby. Room was on 3rd floor with no lift.

Unpleasant. The hotel phone number I got from Orbitz site was not working. The hotel use only it's local number that I found later. To check in on arrival, I had to ring the bell wait and found one lady was in charge. Communication was not easy. Unfriendly. You have to carry your lugage through a narrow stair case.

We had a hard time finding an entrance as the restaurant was closed and there is no reception area. No lift, so we lugged our baggage up 4 flights of stairs. Pleasantly surprised by large, newly refurbished rooms and brand new bathroom. Great sound and light blocking window shades. Breakfast was below average and restaurant not available the night we were there, but we walked into town and had a great meal. Good value for money.

Not the best location but otherwise excellent

This is a family run hotel and is located on the north side of the Moselle so it's too far to walk into Koblenz. It would be a great location if you were driving, particularly heading up the Moselle. The dining room was excellent and favoured by local families it seemed. Very friendly crowd to us, the only North Americans in the place. We took a very nice walk through the residential neighbourhood which was very interesting. What a neat, clean neighbourhood!! This was a great opportunity to see something other than the normal tourist sites. Because of the location, I would not stay here again but if accommodation is tight it is a beautiful family run hotel worthy of a stay.

Lovely old hotel in the vicinity of Koblenz

I originally booked this hotel with the intention of touring Koblenz but it wasn't clear that it's in a nearby town called Güls which is about a 20 minute busride outside. It's a beautiful and nicely remodelled old building with a restaurant downstairs (like an old style inn). Not bad but think it's overpriced for its location(not much to see in Güls), no elevator(non smoking room up 3 flights of stairs) and no other amenities.

We arrived by car at night while it was raining and the Hotel was quite difficult to find. It was not well marked. The staff were a little distant, but the accomodation was quite nice,though room configuration was a little odd. The surrounding village was lovely and only a short walk to the Mosel River. Not fabulous, but have stayed at worse.

Adequate hotel in lovely surroundings

This hotel is in a nice little village. Rooms were adequate. Clean, comfy beds, nice view from our window. Although it wasn't worn it was outdated. The bathroom was the same, in need of modernisation. The shower fitting was horrible though, i think probably meant as a mixer on a bath rather than on a wall. The spray didnt come out far enough to get away from the fitting and the fitting stuck out so much it kept jagging into you. There is no lift in this hotel so we had to carry our rather heavy bags up 3 flights of stairs.
The breakfast was adequate.
The location was great for scenery.
You could probably stay somewhere nicer for less money in Koblenz city though but if the scenery matters to you, you'll be happy in this hotel

The hotel was very good value for money, the room was very clean and extremely spacious and it is situated in a great location with fantastic surrounding scenery. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We used this hotel as a stop off point during a road trip. The purpose of staying at this hotel was for visiting the Nurburgring the next day and this location was a good one as the drive to the nurburgring was not a very long one, the hotel cost was far less than the cost to stay much nearer to the nurburgring and the roads that we encountered to get to the Nurburgring from Koblenz were fantastic!

Charming 5th generation family owned hotel

This is a lovely 5 generation family owned hotel located out from Kolbenz in Guls. Our room was worthy of a 4 star rating and the restaurant and bar were as well. The fact that it was out from Kolbenz, no elevator and our room was on the 3rd floor and very little English was spoken are the reason that the hotel was not what we expected. From this experience I realize that 2 stars usually means no elevator. The manager was welcoming and concerned for our welfare. The village of Guls was friendly and a pleasant surprise from the busy citiy. The bakery and other restaurants were wonderful. The description of this hotel needs to state that there is a city bus stop on the corner and a small train stop several blocks from the city. This hotel is approximately 3-4 blocks from the Mosel River.

Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, etwas abgelegen aber recht gut angebunden mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Von hier aus kann man gut Wanderungen starten. Supermarkt und Getränkemarkt sind um die Ecke. Der Bahnhof ist auch nicht weit.

Prijs ok afstand Koblenz super.INTERNET barslecht en met een zoon niet ideaal. We konden geen Nederlands TV streamen .Veel lawaai wanneer je aan parkingzijde ligt van rokers beneden en keukenpersoneel die buiten komen staan. Raam kon je bij het mooie weer niet openzetten waardoor onze kamer zeer warm was en klein voor drie personen.Ontbijt zeer lekker.

コブレンツ中央駅からは離れていますが、中心地とは、また違ったローカルな雰囲気が味わえて良かったです。
特に、近くのギュルス橋からの風景は、とてもきれいで印象的でした。

ホテルへ入る時は、玄関のブザーを、押して中からロックを解除してもらいます。レセプションデスクは、チェックイン時間にならないと開かないので、早めに着いて荷物を預けたい場合は、事前に連絡した方が確実だと思います。
部屋は古いながらもコンパクトで、清潔で使いやすかったです。
ドイツのホテルは概ね同じですが、アメニティはボトルのソープだけなので、自分で用意する必要があります。
Wi-Fiは、たまに不安定になりますが、ちゃんと使えました。
ホテルの人は、特に愛想がいいわけではありませんが、とてもきちんとした印象で、滞在は快適でした。

Neutral: Das Hotel ist vom alten Schlag. Zwei große Glasbehälter an der Rezeption (Schokis und Streichholzschachteln), Zimmerschlüssel mit klobigem Anhang, zum Frühstück Musik u.a. von Marianne Rosenberg. Positiv: Frühstück und Essen im Restaurant sind gut bis sehr gut und zu einem sehr fairen Preis zu bekommen. Mein Einzelzimmer kostete knapp 60, Frühstück 8 Euro. Insoweit habe ich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis als gut empfunden. Die WLAN-Verbindung im Zimmer war sehr gut. (Für die Sicherheit ist jeder selbst verantwortlich.) Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits von Koblenz-Zentrum, ist aber auch mit Öffis (Bus und Bahn) sehr gut zu erreichen. Nicht gefallen: Die meisten Hotels punkten mit \"Rezeption, Freundlichkeit, Sauberkeit\". Das Hotel Grebel hält sich hier dezent zurück. Bei meinem check-in war die Rezeption nicht besetzt, der Empfang dann später eher spröde. Beim check-out wurde eine falsche Rechnung ausgestellt (\"Ich kann das leider nicht ändern und der Chef ist kurzfristig nicht erreichbar.\") Nach Aufforderung wurde der erhöhte Betrag aber zurückgezahlt und es folgte eine schriftlich Entschuldigung. Ich hatte das Empfinden, dass das Personal grundsätzlich bemüht, aber insgesamt überfordert ist. Ein \"no-go\" ist die Reinigung des Zimmers. Das Bett hätte ich selbst besser gemacht. Der Abfalleimer im Bad (Ich hatte nur diesen benutzt und er war brechend voll.) wurde nicht geleert. Im Bad lagen Haare. Auf Grund der Länge, konnte diese nicht von mir sein. Das war schon eklig.

Dit hotel ligt in het centrum van Guls en zo'n 10 minuten met de auto van het centrum van Koblenz waar je bij diverse parkeerplaatsen voor € 1.00 per uur kan parkeren. Trein is geen optie. Je kan ook met de bus naar Koblenz voor € 3.00 enkele reis. De kamers zijn goed voor een overnachting. badkamer groot en netjes. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en goed. Op de binnenplaats bij het hotel kunnen ongeveer 10 auto's geparkeerd worden. Parkeren kan dus een probleem zijn omdat je midden in het centrum zit.

Im Hochsommer eine Herausforderung...

Der Check-in verlief einfach und unkompliziert. Das mir zugeteilte Zimmer befand sich in der obersten Etage, aber leider war der Aufzug nicht in Betrieb. Noch schlimmer jedoch war, dass es im Zimmer nicht nur keine Klimaanlage, sondern nicht einmal einen Ventilator gab - und bei weit über 30 Grad im Schatten und der Sonne direkt auf der Fensterfront war das kaum auszuhalten. Das Frühstück war übersichtlich, aber qualitativ völlig in Ordnung. Im Rahmen meiner Dienstreise für zwei Nächte war das Hotel in Ordnung, aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt würde ich mich nach einer Alternative umschauen.

Das Beste ist die Lage

Das Zimmer lag im 3. Stock ohne Aufzug. Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig (nicht gesaugt, staubig, verkalkte Armaturen im Bad, muffiger Geruch, Flecken in den Handtüchern, Löcher in der Bettwäsche, Wasserflecken an der Decke), die Ausstattung und das Bad haben ihre besten Zeiten hinter sich - ungefähr 30 Jahre. Für einen Preis von > 100 € die Nacht erwarte ich deutlich mehr, über den Preis der Übernachtung bin ich sehr verärgert. Die Lage ist gut, der Ort ist schön und in Koblenz ist man mit dem Auto sehr schnell. Um die Ecke gibt es einen sehr guten Bäcker und einen REWE. Es gibt am Hotel allerdings deutlich zu wenig Parkplätze und in der nahen Umgebung gibt es keine weiteren freien Parkplätze (Parkscheibe etc.).

Gratis parkeren op eigen terrein. Kamer was oudbollig en kussens waren te zacht. Een boxspring en hier ee daar een wandversiering zou de kamer al opfleuren. Badkamer is piekfijn in orde, goede douche en erg ruim. Er is ruime keuze in het restaurant en het ontbijt is goed verzorgd al zou de dame die constant vraagt of je een eitje wil deze gewoon op de tafel moet plaatsen en gasten deze zelf kunnen pakken, scheelt voor haar ook weer tijd. Maar is wel een leuke bijkomstigheid.

Sauberkeit war in Ordnung, Zimmer und Mobiliar sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber in Ordnung. Es gibt einen Parkplatz für Gäste im Hof, leider ist er nicht beschildert, daher habe ich für den Check-in einen anderen gesucht. Frühstück & Auswahl ist für den Preis sehr gut. Sehr nettes Personal.
Nicht barrierefrei, da kein Lift vorhanden. Alles in allem gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, aber kein Luxus oder was wo man den ganzen Tag im Zimmer verbringt. Eher eine günstige ordentliche Schlafstatt, wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist.
WLAN könnte besser sein, in einigen Teilen des Hauses funktioniert es nicht gut, Signal reißt immer wieder ab.

Leider sah es so aus, als sei nach dem letzten Gast nicht gesaugt worden. Auf jeden Fall sah der Teppichboden sah etwas dreckig aus. Das Bad war dafür tiptop sauber. Nettes Personal, Güls ist ganz hübsch, wenn auch nicht gerade zentral gelegen.

Het hotel was qua ligging ideaal.
We hadden een kamer geboekt met het verzoek: niet rokers en een tweepersoons bed
Toen wij de sleutel van de kamer ontvingen constateerden we bij binnenkomst in de niet afgesloten kamer dat deze heel erg naar rook \"stonk\".
Bij de receptie verklaarden ze dat dat niet kon omdat zij een niet-rokers hotel zijn.
Ze vonden het wel vreemd dat de kamer niet afgesloten was.
Geen moeite gedaan om even met ons mee te lopen naar de kamer.
Naar enig aandringen konden we een kamer krijgen, met twee aparte bedden die niet te verplaatsen waren, jammer!

Hotellet var pænt, rent og nydeligt, men indtjekningen var iflg. Expedia kl. 1300, men iflg. ung kvinde ansat ved hotellet først kl. 1400.
Der var kun et enkelt tandglas på badeværelset, og sengene var alt for smalle.

El hotel está situado a las afueras de Coblenza, en Güls, por lo tanto, buena elección si dispones de coche. El pueble de Güls que ahora es un barrio de Koblenz es muy pintoresco, agradable para pasear viendo las típicas fachadas de las casas de 2 o 3 alturas y sus iglesias con las típicas torres de aguja y fachadas de piedra ennegrecida por la lluvia y el moho. Zona muy tranquila, y recomendable para turismo en familia y con coche. Se aparca bien en la calle pero es estacionamiento regulado. El hotel dispone de parking exterior. Muy cerca del hotel tienes supermercados y cafeterías La habitación es amplia y funcional. Almohadas demasiado blandas pero te adaptas bien. TV sin TVE Internacional sintonizado.
