The hotel is well located though we booked it for the secure parking. Entry to & exit from the car park is a perilous exercise with high kerbs; watch your alloy wheels or you’ll be paying more for the night away than you’d budgeted…..

A lovely hotel, nice staff. Very comfortable room and bed with tea/coffee making and fridge. Clean bathroom. The location is right on the river, unfortunately there are bridge works which make it a bit further to walk to river as some routes are closed. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the cable car and boat departures.

Room was average at best windows were locked in the closed position so unable to get air circulation around the room . Staff and checking in wasn’t an issue, breakfast was ok but quite expensive a lot of building work been carried out in the surrounding area which ruined the view but not the hotels fault although it would have been nice to be informed

Could have been alot nicer with just a few changes

Inside hotel was clean. Outside needed a lot of care and is not as photos show.
Room was not cleaned one of the days out of the 4 nights we stayed and mini bar was not restocked. However compensation was taken of our bill for this.
Somehow my purse ended up at reception, we received a call in the room at midnight when we were asleep telling us we needed to go to reception and had no idea why.
I appreciated getting my purse back and luckily my cards were still there but money was missing.
Most disappointing thing was not being able to use the garden area or to buy a drink (hot or cold) during the day as bar didn’t open until 5pm

Hotel in general was nice and clean. Room was fine, but the air conditioning isnt the greatest. Good views from the room. The river walk is 5 min from hotel. Compared to the several other hotel breakfast buffets I've done so far this is very expensive. The bar area was a good place to watch the Euro cup games. The bar tenders were very nice, but would leave for 10-15 min at a time leaving people waiting for tabs or to order.

Good hotel, easy to walk the old town, to a lot of attractions and dinner. Really like the daily free drinks in the mini fridge. Hotel is quiet, and the panoramic views from the privilege rooms are great. Breakfast was good, but repeats every day, little variety and changes would make it better, pretty expensive if you have to pay for it. We will come again.

Was advertised as air conditioned rooms. We has 4 rooms before we gave up. Rooms stuck and we’re super hot. No discount was offered and staff didn’t seemed concerned that there was no air conditioning and the rooms smelled. Not impressed would not recommend staying here

We got a room on the 9th floor, the \"privileged \" room with a river view right across from the famous fort. The big pleasany surprise was the permanent note on the mini refrigerator that ALL the drinks in the \"mini bar\" was free. ❤

There was 1 small bottle of beer in the fridge, 2 cokes and bottle water.
I beer between 2 a bit stingy.

The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view in the river, placed in a very good position near the river, so you can go on foot to the most beautiful area of Koblenz. Unfortunately the heating system was not working even when the outside temperature was 5 to 12 degrees. We asked at the reception to do something but it seems that the thermostat was set at a certain point where only cold air came out.

Xmas market trip

We think this is one of the nicest places to stay... we like the \"south\" view & its quieter, even on the 9th floor. Since we have stayed a couple times now, some rooms still need updated to the details, like in the bath. I question (in my view) about the cleanliness sometimes. The breakfast is better with cooked to order eggs. But the location is nice! Mecure Hotels are nice!

First trip to Koblenz

Picked this hotel because of the river view rooms, which is also a great location. The ladies at the front desk were so helpful. (Sorry i dont recall names). The breakfast was great. The housekeeping manager was great, hopefully we'll return to take him up on his offer to us! German beds tend to be harder than I like though. But i do travel with my own pillow.

Hotels has you overpay for parking, beware!

They made me overpay for parking 4 nights in a row and once the mistake was uncovered refused to get it fixed. Thank you, Miss Jäger. Unfortunately there aren’t many options in Koblenz so you might still have to choose to stay here but be aware you might pay a bit more than you’d expect. Hence from me, 2 stars

We stayed three nights at Mercure Hotel Koblenz in July 2020. The hotel staff was supportive of guests. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the Rhine River. The bed was comfortable and the free minibar appreciated. The location of the hotel to the center of Koblenz is convenient and we recommend this hotel.

Very loud, hard to sleep well but otherwise ok

The hotel is purpose built, rooms on the small side and the decor is more 3* than 4*.
My main issue was that the hotel was loud. You could hear people stomping around above and below you, the TV in the next room, doors slamming in the mornings and evenings and people talking in the hallway. Despite earplugs I was woken multiple times throughout the night and in the morning. In my opinion this was not due to other people being overly inconsiderate but the buildiging substance combined with no carpets and few soft furnishings.
Breakfast was a bit too expensive for what it was but otherwise enjoyable.
Wifi was free and fast enough for streaming but sadly didn't reach into the breakfast room.
The staff were pleasant, the room was clean and the location was good.

My sister and I stayed in Koblenz to catch the boat to Rudesheim to see the castles. We only stayed one night at the hotel but wish we would have stayed longer. Everything was wonderful at the hotel. We did stay in the priviledge rooms which in my opinion was well worth the extra price.

It’s all about location

Easy to find and easy parking. Quick check in and great room with a high floor and view of the river and two castles. Room was basic but had all we needed, though definitely overpriced!!! We paid 5 star rates for a 3 Star property. Rented bikes at the hotel and enjoyed biking the river! Breakfast was ok, but also overpriced. Air Con is weak but enough to not sweat. Def visit Koblenz but decide if this is the best property for you (if charging more than 90 euros a night, you’re overpaying).

A one night stay is not the best indicator of a place, it’s true, but one night in my opinion is not enough time at the Mercure. Friendly staff, big rooms, great location (our room looked out on the river!) and a restaurant with delicious food was fantastic! Only issue I personally faced was the bed itself - it’s not dissimilar to sleeping on a gym mat. If you like firm beds then you’re in luck but if like me you’re not a huge fan, then this may pose an issue. Still, I would return any day, hopefully sooner rather than later!

The rooms are tight for two people with much luggage and bathroom is small. The location on the Rhine and is a bit difficult to find if you are not familiar with the roads and location. We have come back several times because it is near to our work location and we love the breakfast.

Koblenz Mercure Hotel is a nice hotel, clean with comfortable rooms. Parking right on the hotel premises and lots of amenities. However, is about 15 min walk to city center and there are not a lot of eating options besides the hotel itself close by.

Don’t count on breakfast

Me and a few guys enters the crumball rally and needed a quick place to bunk for the night, we booked this through Expedia for £140 a night b&b including breakfast, Got there and room wasn’t ready, that’s fine so we went out for a few drinks and dinner, came back and it was.

So we woke up at 6am came down to breakfast only to decide our name wasn’t on the list, and then showed them the booking and they said nope breakfast not included, ruined what other wise would have been an okay stay.

Also worth noting if you want to use and iron you need to go down to sauna into a strange room and use it, parking is €12 Euro extra as well.

For £150 I would at least expect to be able to park my car and get breakfast in the morning.

It’s also about a 15 minute walk to most bars and places to eat and getting a taxi is out of the question so bring an umbrella as it rains more than england if that’s possible.

Hotel with a view!

Upon check-in the hotel staff was very nice and informative. The room was clean, fresh and sizable. Linens on the bed were fresh but the bed was not as comfortable as I expected it to be, rather a firm mattress. Housekeeping service was excellent. Room service runs until 10PM so that was an added benefit. The room I rented included free minibar amenities; beer, water, candy, soda. Within walking distance of shopping and dining venues. Overall a very good stay and I would return to this hotel. Finally, I had a nice view of the Rhein river and a few local sites from the 9th floor.

This was a nice hotel on the Rhine. We took the Rhine tour and could walk to the docks from our room, it was also walking distance to a bunch of hotels along the water. Our room had a view of the river. The bar area was nice and the pizza was delicious! Great stay!

Stayed three nights at Mecure Koblenz, I would recommend upgrading to a riverview room. The room was comfortable and it was a bonus to be able to open the window to photograph all the barges and river boats. Breakfast was quite expensive so didn't have it but evening meals were really excellent and compared pricewise with outside restaurants. Reception and bar/dining room staff friendly and helpful. Nice walks along the river, cable car not running at this time of year but fortress is walking (and stair climbing) distance. Railway station is a short taxi ride away. In winter it was very quiet but Christmas markets were lovely.
