Ich bin begeistert von dem Hotel. Das Haus steht zwar etwas weg vom Schuss, dafür ist es nachts maximal ruhig. Zunächst war ich etwas irritiert vom Stilmix. Da gibt es eine japanische Brücke über einen Koi-Teich als Zugang zum Hotel, daneben stehen Säulen im Hundertwasserstil, möglicherweise sogar Originale. In der Lobby ist ein kleiner Elefant postiert und in Sichtweite steht das Heck eines VW-Käfers. Die liebevoll ausgesuchten Details sind zwar reine Geschmacksache, aber das Wichtigste ist das Personal. Superfreundlich, zuvorkommend schon beim Einchecken. Jeder Mitarbeiter dem man begegnet, hat einen freundlichen Gruß auf den Lippen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, das Badezimmer picobello sauber. Beim Frühstück ist zwar Selbstbedienung angesagt, das ist heute weitgehend üblich, dafür ist für jeden Geschmack etwas Passendes dabei. Wer mit dem Auto anreist, kann kostenlos die Tiefgarage nutzen, wo gibt es sowas noch? Kostenloses Wlan selbstverständlich.

I arrived, somewhat unusually, as a solo traveller, and chose the hotel for its location next to the Moselle. I like to walk, and the hotel afforded a good walk along the river, down to the main tourist attractions and the Altstadt.
The hotel architecture was absolutely fascinating, and for anyone who likes quirky, this is the place to stay. My room was spacious and comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. My poor German wasn't a problem! The breakfast on offer was very good, but perhaps you need a good appetite to fully appreciate it!
I very much enjoyed my stay in Koblenz, and was very happy with my choice of hotel.

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut und Koblenz sehr schön. Wir waren anlässlich eines Vortrags dort und haben den Tag zum Besichtigen genutzt.
Sehr witzig fanden wir, dass der Verzicht auf die Zimmer-Reinigung belohnt wird!
Wir hätten uns über ein lokaleres und breiteres Weinangebot und ein bisschen Beratung gefreut. Aber wir hatten wirklich 2 schöne Tage dort!

Great little hotel in Koblenz, very convenient to visit other sites in the region (particularly castles). You can walk into town via the river path to get food in the evening (which we did when we stayed here). The parking lot is, interesting. Its basically a one way down and individual spots between large concrete pillars, you will want to back in for sure. They had adequate lighting though and there were plenty of spots when we went.

Good location, and expensive

This is a nice, comfortable hotel, in a good location for exploring Koblenz. It has a nice outdoor area - the Frog pond - and is on the path along the river. We visited on a weekend without a reservation, and found this to be very expensive relative to other hotels along the Rhine and Mosel Rivers. There was an extra charge for breakfast.

The Contel is a good hotel.
Facilities are clean. There is a bar and restaurant. Good breakfast, however the restaurant does get very full at peak times. Rooms are nice and spacious. My room also had a bath as well as a shower.
Staff are helpful and nice
A 15 minute walk along the fiver gets you to the Altstadt and the centre of the city.
I will definitely be staying there again

Great, hidden away gem. Eclectic mix of a funky 70s/South Beach vibe and an effort at being green. Nice restaurant, great food and the Biergarten outback is a nice touch. Parking is ample and free. Consider this a place to stay when you're in Koblenz. It's not a chain, it's not low-end and it is sort of boutique.

We chose this hotel mainly due to reasonable price & availability. Very helpful staff there was really appreciated. Rooms were very clean & seemed newly renovated. The only disappointing thing was lack of air conditioning, which was not terrible, but it was a bit warm & humid.

The hotel is of quirky design on the outside but more traditional inside. Room was very comfortable but would be vastly improved by Aircon as it was around 30° when we got to Koblenz. Hotel is in the wrong part of the city although only 20mins walk to the old town. Walked in along the Mosel but would not have felt safe walking back at night. Taxi back was €11. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice beer garden out the back

There is a big grocery store around the corner. There is a boat lock by the hotel.We enjoyed watching ships go in&out.

Quirky colours but good hotel

Stayed 2 nights here whilst on business. Hotel looks quirky with its bright colours on outside but found it to be a nice hotel and would book again. Restaurant food was good also. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk along the mosel into the centre of Koblenz. Rooms were bigger than normal rooms I stay in.

Intriguingly eclectic style

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. Hotel is very unusual in that it combines an older single storey building with a modern 'tower' but they have chosen to decorate the rooms in their tower in the older style...think white rough textured walls with arches and dark wooden beams and furniture. The rest of the hotel is decorated with a very eclectic mix of tchotchkes (ranging from green frogs through Greek statuary to couches fashioned from the back end of VW Beetles). It shouldn't work (and probably doesn't) but somehow it charms as evidenced by the hotel being full of business people. It's a 30 minute walk (7 minute ride) from the central railway station so not close to anything. Overall I'd recommend if you want a comfortable, welcoming hotel and you have a taste for the unusual.

Thoroughly Enjoyed Our Stay

Arrived very early (0900h) for our reservation hoping to leave our luggage until check in time. Adrian on the desk was very accommodating and we were checked in immediately as the room was available. Very nice room. Very clean and comfortable. Hotel is very eco friendly with green roofs, solar heated water, several ponds on site. Comfortable bed.
Breakfast buffet was worth the 11 euros IMHO.
They have a nice biergarten around the pond though we didn't use it.

Contel & Koblenz - Great Combination

This hotel does not come cheap but they have got most things right. The location is quiet, I slept very well. The room was very good and well furnished. The breakfast buffet was excellent. I enjoyed walks along the Mosel river to the Deutsche Eck and a brief visit to the old town. Wifi was fast and free. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. It is hard to criticise anything here.

Expected a budget hotel. This was fine even though it looked like a flower child from the 60's painted it. The room was clean and spacious for Europe. Unfortunately the room was simply too warm even with the windows open and a fan on. Thank God it rained that night to bring down the outside temp.

Ich war mit meinem Freund für 2 Nächte im Contel Hotel Koblenz. Das Hotel ist sehr weiterzuempfehlen!
Wir hatten ein Komfort-Doppelzimmer. Das klimatisierte Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, das Bad ebenfalls und sehr modern. Zudem ist alles sehr sauber.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, ob Reinigungskräfte, Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption oder auch beim Frühstück. Hier ist aufgefallen, dass sich die Mitarbeiterin beim Frühstück sehr bemüht hat, da ich aufgrund von Lebensmittelunverträglichkeiten in meiner Auswahl sehr eingeschränkt bin.

Insgesamt ein super Hotel, das man definitiv weiterempfehlen kann!

Hotellet er koselig med mange fine detaljer og fellesrom. Relativt kort gåavstand til gamlebyen. Ok frokost bra rom, men svak aircondition som slår seg automatisk av.

Fikk for første gang etter mange tilsvarende bestillinger på Hotels.com en ubehagelig overraskelse da det måtte betales et betydelig beløp for en ekstraseng det ikke var informert om samt frokost. Dette var skuffende samt med meget påståelig kommunikasjon med personale i resepsjonen både iner innsjekking og utsjekk. Veldig dårlig reklame!!

Das Zimmer hatte eine gute Grösse, der Balkon war nur für eine Person geeignet. Die Klimaanlage konnte nicht verwendet werden, sie wurde nur für eine kurze Zeit eingeschaltet, was für mich etwas ärgerlich war. Die Dusche konnte nur mit einem Kniff verwendet werden; leider gab es starke Temperaturschwankungen von brühend heiss zu kalt. Das Verhältnis der Parkplätze zu Anzahl Zimmer ist auch nicht optimal. Ich hätte erwartet, dass das Hotel mit dem nahegelegenen Parkhaus einen Deal hätte für Vergünstigungen. Der Biergarten ist grosszügig und gemütlich ausgefallen, Bier und Speisen waren gut.

The hotel is situated only roughly 20 minutes from the city edge.. enough choices in the restaurant for a pleasant diner out- or inside. Nice biergarten adjecent to the Moselrad weg an near the river Mosel. Rooms are quite large, bed very comfortabel. Clean and 'green'.
Would certainly go back when visiting Koblenz again.

The hotel looks interesting from the outside and when entering the lobby, but the rooms are spacious and very clean. We had dinner in the Biergarten, which was really nice. Both food and atmosphere were really good. The city center of Koblenz is within walking distance (around 20 minutes) and the walk is quite simple - just follow the path along the river! Although I’m not sure I’d enjoy walking that path in the dark.

Außergewöhnliches Hotel

Wer mal nicht 08/15 übernachten möchte, ist hiergoldrichtig! Viele kleine Details schaffen ein außergewöhnliches Ambiente. Das beginnt bei der bunten Außenfassade mit Mosaiken, Sprüchen und Kletterfiguren, den Eingang erreicht man über eine kunstvoll gestaltete Brücke. In der Lobby kann man sich im Heck eines VW Käfer niederlassen und das Zimmer zeigt statt Blümchen- oder Streifentapeten frischen Rauhputz, wobei das Bett hinter einem Torbogen thront. Frühstück draußen am Teich ist ein Genuss. Ebenso viel Wert legt man hier auf Komfort: Das Badezimmer ist riesig und modern, es gibt reichlich Steckdosen und jede Menge Lampen, einen Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher, für den Radler einen Fahrradkeller, ein orthopädische Nackenkissen im Schrank und Fliegengitter im Fenster. Jeder Einzelne war ausnehmend freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sogar Werkzeug für eine kleine Reparatur am Rad wurde uns gereicht. So fühlt Gast sich wirklich gut versorgt. Dankeschön dafür!
Klitzekleine Kritik: 15,-€ für das Frühstück sind ein wenig zu teuer. So viel kann man ja gar nicht essen ;-) Ansonsten ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis völlig angemessen.

Ich übernachte privat und beruflich regelmäßig in ****-Hotels im In- und Ausland. Dieses Hotel hat mich wirklich beeindruckt, weil es seine gaz eigene Note trägt, ohne übertrieben verspielt/ kitschig zu sein. Diese Punkte sind mir darüber hinaus aufgefallen:

- Freundlichkeit, Sauberkeit und vernünftige Matratzen sind hier selbstverständlich
- die coolste Tiefgarage, in der ich jemals war mit vielen großen freien Parkplätzen
- super Klimanlage
- sehr schick gestaltete Lobby

Äußerlich außergewöhnlich designtes Hotel mit großzügig bemessenen Zimmern. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet und ein großer, einladender Biergarten mit Restaurant. Junge, sehr freundliche und motivierte Crew.

Det spraglede hotel

Hotellet var udefra meget spraglet. Billede af hotellet kom først frem, efter bekræftelse af booking. Havde ikke valgt det ud fra billedet. Det lå ligesom i et industrikvarter, men dog tæt på floden og ca 20 minutters gang fra centrum langs floden. Værelset vær pænt rent. Fik en gave ( pose med 2 æbler og 2 nøddebar) for at undlade at få værelset ordnet. Måtte sætte stik i kontakt for at starte køleskab.

Stilvolles Hotel

Schönes großes Zimmer. Doppelbett war uns zu schmal bzw. entspricht meiner Meinung nach nicht mehr ganz dem heutigen Standard für 4 Sterne Hotels.

Essen abends im Restaurant sehr gut, Frühstück durch Corona bedingte Auflagen in Ordnung aber zu teuer mit 15€ pro Person, da kein Buffet möglich.

Ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt

Das Hotel ist sehr angenehm auch für Privatreisende. Die Zimmer haben eine Atmosphäre zum Wohlfühlen auch durch die ungewöhnlich gute Beleuchtung - hell aber warm.
