Good stopover

A good no frills stay. The room was small but adequate. Didn't like cardboard cups for tea. Good free wifi. All very clean but wouldn't want to stay more than two nights. Halloween decorations were a bit over the top - greeted in reception by a blood stained corpse lying in a bed and a grotesque partially decomposed dog!

Lovely hotel and it was very easy to find. Check n was fast and efficient and the room was lovely and large with a great view. We had dinner on site which was ok but there was nobody there that spoke sufficient English so it was a bit hit and miss. Breakfast was lovely

Hotel was very easy to find and easy access to car ferry the following morning. Welcoming at reception and a clean, comfortable room - what more do you require from an overnight stay? The hotel offered an evening meal at a reasonable price although there was a McDonalds within walking distance. Breakfast was a good self service. Would definitely visit again.

Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was of a good standard but the supply of food was erratic to say the least. One customer asked for another bread that had been present and was told none was available. Minutes later another worker brought out the bread that was requested. Cutlery and crockery were also slow to be replenished. A rather disappointing end to a relatively pleasant overnight stop.

Nice hotel situated at the outskirts of town

Originally disappointed about where the hotel was situated (6 - 7 km. from downtown)
to discover later that due to the lack of touristy objectives in the city of Cherbourg that
was a plus. The easy access to the main highway on the way to the major attractions of
Normandy made it an ideal place to stay.
The breakfast offered: First Class!
Unrelated to the hotel: do not waste your time going to the umbrella factory. Nothing to to
with the film. Just a typical tourist trap. Umbrellas starting at €125.00 + the little protector
bag €40.00. For this money you can buy a computer.

Convenient and clean hotel

We stayed for 3 nights to explore the local area. It was easy to get to from the ferry and for access out of Cherbourg. It is right next door to Macdonalds, a short drive from some family friendly restaurants and just across a road from a shopping centre with supermarket and patisserie. Breakfast was a reasonable price and the food was good. The family room was spacious.

The hotel is situated on the southern outskirts of Cherbourg close to shopping malls and outlet stores. It is a modern comfortable hotel offering good food and a good continental breakfast; Ibis offer a good standard of accommodation and this hotel did not fall short. It is not within walking distance of city centre facilities. Of particular note was the helpful friendly service we had from the barman/waiter; Stephen. He was very professional, gave good advice and spoke good English.

Arrived and checked in no problems. Was allocated a room on the second floor, so as we had a lot of luggage (3 month old girl!) decided to use one of the provided luggage trolleys. However as soon as the lift doors opened on the second floor we were faced with steps! To make matters worse our room was still 20 meters away down a further two corridors. Once in the room, we found out that the bathroom light flickered and the sink leaked. After all we had been through to get to the room, we were reluctant to move. Noting that this was an Ibis and not the budget version, I would have expected better, so will stay clear next time.

A pleasant and practical overnight stay.

Although not situated in the centre of town the hotel makes up for that with easy parking and very pleasant staff. The rooms were quiet and clean and had tea and coffee making facilities in them (a touch that most travellers really appreciate I think) although strangely no milk included. The restaurant is adequate if one is too tired to go out. I would definitely enjoy staying there again.

Good hotel close to Cherbourg, Auchan Supermarket

A nice hotel just outside of Cherbourg at La Glacerie on the opposite side of a dual carraigeway to Auchan for all your shopping before going to the ferry.
The hotel is probably more suitable for business people but it is very good for Brits using the ferry port. It is clean & comfortable and the staff are extremely friendly & helpful. It has a restaurant which is reasonable with a good menu & the continental breakfast is a serve yourself buffet.

Hôtel Ecoradical si on peut utiliser ce terme.
Chambre froid clim bloquer à 19, le froid venant des fenêtre, on se sent comme si on était dehors par moment.
Pour un aparthotel il n'y'a pas de four,
Nous avons le droit à 100l d'eau chaude dans la douche,

Le micorn onde ne chauffe pas bien, il faut attendre tres lontemps, même chose pour la plaque..
Bref

Je ne reviendrai plus

Petit déjeuner exisaivement chere 14 euros pour ce qu'il propose, je trouve ça même du vole.

Tres bon hotel et recent. Personnel souriant dommage qu'il ne soit pas assez le matin pourcrepondre a la demande. Bravo au jeune serveur qui c retrouvé seul a gerer un hotel complet auvoetit dejeuner. Il n'y avait plus rien a 9h30 au buffet...il a fallu attendre...mais aucune verification poue verifier si tout le monde avait compris le petit dejeuner dans leur formule car il y avait foule. La direction su r un we de 15 aout devrait prevoir un oeu plus de personnel pour le confort de tous et surtout des salariés present.

Mauvais séjour, j'ai dû faire un départ anticipé. L'hôtel est en travaux, et ils m'ont donné une chambre situé dans la zone où les travaux sont réalisés. Au lieu de condamné les chambres situées dans ce secteur, l'hôtel préfère loué ses chambres pour continuer à gagner de l'argent au détriment du confort des clients. Impossible de se reposer après une nuit et une matinée de travail. Les perceuses et les meuleuses étaient juste au dessus de ma chambre, de 13h à 17h, je vivais un calvaire.

Même pas de rideau simple ! Juste un rideau occultant donc obligé d’être dans le noir en plein jour pour pas que les gens dehors nous voient !

Très bon accueil à l’arrivée.
Par contre le restaurant sous forme de « traiteur » n’était franchement pas bon et à un prix qui était bien trop élevé. Une quinzaine d’euros pour des plats réchauffés sans intérêt, j’aurais dû aller manger en extérieur.

Le tout juste au dessus du lit.
Au restaurant pas possible d'avoir ce que l'on souhaite car le bar man n'est pas là et personne ne sait faire.
Refus du chef d'ouvrir une bouteille de pétillant pour faire deux apéro.
C'est sur que je ne reviendrais plus dans cet établissement.

Etape hôtel conseillée conforme au standard IBIS

Pour information, il n'est pas facile de supporter des odeurs de cigarette jusqu’à très tard dans la nuit générée par des fumeurs qui sont sans cesse regroupés devant l'entrée de l hôtel pour fumer (c'est un problème de sociétal) et qui enfument les chambres voisines. Les odeurs rentrent dans la chambre et comme c'est un défilé permanent on ne peut aérer ....dommage car l'accueil est vraiment de qualité...
