We loved our stay at Moon Ocean. Was happy the pool was still open as it was very warm out. I think it is closed Nov-April. All the staff we interacted with were great. I especially enjoyed talking to the lady working in the restaurant / bar. She was so friendly and her English is amazing. I am sorry I forgot her name. :( If you have a car this area is perfect for your stay.

Absolutely beautiful views and impeccable service

I honestly can’t say enough positive things about this hotel and our stay. The staff was wonderful and accommodating, even with the language barrier. The entire hotel was pristine clean and the views were amazing! The only slightly less than perfect thing was the firmness of the mattress but my husband loved it, so that’s more personal preference.

Staff were not friendly. The one stationed at entrance was just watching you moving suitcases. The reception guys were impolite, mo greetings, with smoke odor from his mouth while talking, not friendly. The guy at the pool, just concentrated on packing those towel on the table, didn't aware of no towels on shelf, and didnt proactively provide towels for those coming up from water and ready to leave. Comparing to the culture of Japanese, this hotel is far below standard.

The room was very spacious. The view was very nice from the bathroom and living room. There was also a balcony that you can sit outside and watch the sunset. Very good sized refrigerator. They have a microwave and a water kettle that can heat up water to make tea or coffee. They also have a stove. You can ask the front desk for the cooking utensils. Washer and dryer available for free on multiple floors. You just have to buy the detergent from the front desk if paying cash or restaurant if paying by card. The pool looks very nice. The hot tub was very nice. I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay here again. The hotel is about 25 minutes from the Kadena Air Base and about 20 minutes from the airport. The only thing is that there are bicycles available for rent (not affiliated with the hotel) but you can’t rent them if you don’t have a Japan number because they will try to send you a code to register but the text message won’t go through.

We stayed 7 nights which was perfect. Because we stayed for 6 nights, the bfast was a reduced rate for us (¥1100 vs ¥2200).
Free washing machines & dryer room on each floor (BYO detergent).
Great pool, especially for toddlers. Our nearly two year old could stand up safely & play. Pool open 9am-7pm with a Life guard, lots of safe pool toys.
Recommend a rental car to visit the island. Public bus is a 15min walk away.
We had a 2 bedroom apartment on 5th floor, it had 2 bathrooms with showers & an additional separate toilet as well.
Comfy beds, lots of towels, curtains kept room dark.
No kitchen utensils when we arrived, but was available on request inc dish cloths, dish detergent, pots, pans, plates etc
We requested our room be serviced 3 times (bins, sheets, towels) & it was always done to perfection.
Staff were so friendly & helpful, always acknowledged even when your just walking past.
Only down side was the ‘boy racer’ traffic noise at night from time to time. Revving engines.
Mall across road with supermarket, massage, kids play area (L2), shopping, chemist & restaurants.
Cafe next door at bottom of office block has half decent coffee.
Nice beach 15min walk away.
The price of our stay was worth it for the large space the apartment afforded us compared to hotel rooms.

We were visiting family, who live in Naha, but I booked this place in Ginowan because I wanted a spacious room for myself and my adult children. We definitely got a spacious room!! It had 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets, 2 showers, and a bathtub with a view of the ocean. And a kitchen!

Convenience wise it's really quite well located. There's a large shopping mall right next to it, with a couple of eating options, conbini, and department stores. There's a beach a 1/2 mile down the road. There are a few restaurants right behind it (can I recommend 炭ト飯晩餐 right down the street? An izakaya, but FANCY).

From Naha it's not super convenient, and with all our bags our relative had to rent a van😩!

We got by with our basic Japanese pretty well. Breakfast buffet was pretty good actually.

Biggest downside: not enough outlets for 4 connected people, no outlets near beds. But there's a department store next door to buy extension cords 😅

We love Okinawa so much, even being there on the hottest day in the world can't dampen our enthusiasm. We will be back soon! (if we don't stay at Moon Ocean Ginowan, it's only to be closer to our relatives! But maybe I'll just rent a van and take the leap to driving).

We like the room separate to the living, also like the bath and shower with water temporature, also like the cooking stove too if we need. The best we love that is the best location not far to the city and American village and we can take shuttle bus without renting car but limited.
Love the shopping centre and convinience store next to it.
Only a little down is the breakfast buffet some foods were cold already like frech fries, bacon, eggs, etc. And food selection not as much as expected.

This is a prefect place for stay in Okinawa, locationwise it’s close to convention Ctr shopping mall, just 2 mins walk pass the road there are 24-hr supermarket, family mart and even 24hrs restaurant, everything you need within the vicinity. Hotel is clean and rooms are super big in Japanese standard! The view is stunning overlooking the ocean, every room is sea facing and you won’t miss it. We stayed in one-bedroom suite room, the toilet and the shower is separated room which is convenient if you have few ppl staying together. Everyone was just prefect and nth to be complain about! Rooms are clean and we try hard to keep it in good condition too, wishing it’s still the same next time we go back! Highly recommended especially for family stay.

It is not as good as expected. it's not close to the sea and no beach, but facing the highway even though it's seaview. Very noisy until midnight if you open the window. Buffet breakfast has simple choices. Hotel staffs are not helpful and flexible. We tried to explore if it's possible to combine the 2 days breakfast tickets and use them in one day, but are refused. They explained that it's because we booked the rooms from online agent but not direct from the hotel, so this kind of arrangement will not be provided. We feel like we are teated as a 2nd class guests...haha

High rise hotel which is not my first choice but difficult to find anything else in Japan at a reasonable price and it looked smart from the outside. Rooms were big with big sofas in the living area. Kitchenette was a bit weird as it didn’t have any cutlery or plates as standard although you could ask for them. Bedroom was nice, twin beds were huge. I’ve found some hotels have very hard beds but these were very comfy. Location is not breathtaking but it’s quiet at night. You can find shops and restaurants within walking distance in the convention centre next door or around the streets. Anyone into world war 2 history, you can see Hacksaw Ridge from the back of the hotel. I’d recommend some to stay at this hotel if you are looking to stay in the area which is about 30 mins drive from the airport.

Upscale hotel with great views of the Makiko Bay and the East China Sea. Rooms are spacious and clean with balcony, small kitchen, sofa, TV, and comfortable twin beds. One large freshwater swimming pool is located next to the large exercise room. A bar and medium-sized restaurant serving good food are on the main floor. Free washer/dryer combo available on each floor. A 24-hr supermarket, Tokyu Hands department store, and Round 1 Stadium (bowling/interactive games) are conveniently located. The marina and beach are just across the highway and a short walk away. The hotel is centrally located in Ginowan and only 3-4 miles south of American Village. Hotel staff are very professional, courteous, and always helpful (although somewhat limited in English). A pleasant experience - I would definitely stay here again.

Nice place to stay

Our room was roomy and a small kitchen in the room was plus. There are restaurants and shops nearby. We walked to a grocery store and Tokyu Hands to get local food and goods. We also went to the ocean front park and it was nice to take a walk in the morning. Only downside is the noise from the busy road in front of the hotel. We will go back.

we stayed at the premium suit was very spacious and comfortable. the amenities they provided for our 1 year old were great (baby cot, bath tube, high chair)...and the kitchen allows us to make some simple baby food well. location is great as it's close to the supermarkets, baby store, round 1 arcade, etc. breakfast was so-so though but that's ok. wifi was not very stable however, hopefully they can improve! we'd definitely return again next time we go to okinawa

The hotel room was amazing, the room was really big. This hotel provides comfortable and luxurious rooms with a cheap price compared to other hotels. I have stayed in this hotel for at least 3 times and I would certainly recommend it to a friend! The rooms were pretty clean but on my last visit, I found a bottle cap under my bed. Despite this, I would definitely come back to the hotel if I stay in Okinawa again.

Amazing! Staffs are always very helpful. Although some of them are not very good in English, they would try their very best to help. One staff, name Daniel, is an American from California, he helped me through all my booking on restaurants and translated for us too! Very helpful indeed.

It is located in the convenient place to access highways. It's about 45 min drive (with mild traffic) from Naha International Airport, and grocery stores/convenient stores are couple blocks away (some were in the walking distance).
The room was spacious and comfortable. We have stayed at 4th Floor but still great view of ocean/marina from our private balcony. Kitchenette and dishes/utensils were available to use.
It says the washer/dryer are available but it was one each placed on each floor. Luckily that it wasn't the peak season so we have no problem using it without competing. They had a sectional couch which had some smell of others so we sprayed some Lysol and Febreze to take care of it. Other than that, highly recommended!

駐車場は広くて停めやすいです。
プールは浅いエリアもあり、5歳の子どもも楽しめました。4月末で少し冷たかったですが、ジャグジーと併用して問題なく過ごせました。

お部屋はフローリングで赤ちゃんも安心してハイハイでき、お風呂はオーシャンビュー。窓に鍵があり安全面も◎。シャンプーの香りも良かったです。

調理器具やベッドガード、ベビー風呂などの無料レンタルが充実していて、近くのスーパーで買い出しして部屋で食事ができ便利でした。洗濯乾燥機も無料で使え、コスパもとても良いです。

家族連れにおすすめのホテルです。
