They have an excellent breakfast bar, recommend you get breakfast included package. Rooms are clean but has a bit of an old smell feel, recommend getting an air freshener for the room. Pool is outstanding, my kiddo lived there pool and it is great that the pool hours are very accessible from morning till evening. The location is wonderful. Recommend this hotel and will come back again!

Spacious and clean room with beautiful views, very reasonable price. Japanese service is excellent. The hotel is good for families that want a self contained oasis to enjoy. Tropical beach is nearby too, you can walk there. Walking to other places might be out of the reach for the average person. I walked back from the A&W in Makiminato in about 30 minutes. Not bad.

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and actually spacious, bathrooms were small but ok. I liked that there were two sinks (one outside the bathroom) because we had three people in the room. The additional bed that was in the room was very squeaky so everytime I moved or got out of bed in the middle of the night, it woke up everybody. Food at the downstairs restaurant was good with lots of varieties to choose from. I liked that there was a store on the 2nd floor (lobby floor) with lots of cute items and prices were not bad at all.

Room was spacious and all rooms appear to have an ocean view. We were on the 22nd floor and the view was lovely. We had a balcony, however there is no furniture on any balcony to sit in the evening. Our room was very dated and smelled musty, however this is likely because it’s old and faces the water. Breakfast in both the restaurants offered was very good, serving both western and Japanese options. Bed was very hard but ok for us as we like a firmer mattress. Overall we had a pleasent stay.

I’d stayed in this hotel before and it was not as chaotic as this time. Could it be high season?

The hotel’s location and staff were excellent. The rooms were spacious, though slightly outdated. The pool was beautiful, and direct beach access was a major plus. On the downside, the restaurant had limited hours, and reservations couldn’t be made through a single site. Overall, for our family of five (ages 12 to 70), we truly enjoyed our stay. The location was fantastic—while you’ll need a car to get to the American Village, the trip is absolutely worth it.

My second stay on my two week trip! This place is nice. Very convenient and has things to do on the property. They have a swimming pool outdoor and inside. The convenient store down stairs came in handy and closed at 10pm.

I paid for the room tariff plus breakfast in advance because I like Japanese Food.

But I was only told upon arrival that the Japanese restaurant was temporarily closed at breakfast time. Thus I asked for refunding the breakfast payment at the front desk but was declined.

What’s more, when I went to the western restaurant, it’s full of people and messy. I was very unhappy with the stay at Laguna Garden Hotel.

International Meeting Hotel

The Laguna Garden Hotel was the hotel associated with an international meeting being held at the Ginowan Convention Center. The hotel was in good proximity to the Convention Center. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The service was generally good, when it was open. Some of the hotel restaurants and the bar was only open on the weekends. Many of those staying at the hotel were from the US and EU and are accustomed to being able to have a drink in the evening. Given there was no bar where patrons to meet and visit over drinks during the week was quite disappointing. The pool facility was quite nice, but the hotel adhered to the antiquated policy of denying pool entry to those who had visible tattoos. While this policy impacted a small number of conference attendees staying at the hotel. I do not have tattoos, but I view this as an unacceptable, discriminatory practice. While this policy seems to be dissolving at hotels on Japan's main island, this hotel seems to be hanging on to this antiquated, cultural discriminatory practice.

Not much of a resort during the week

The hotel is nice and walking distance from a very nice beach. There is an outdoor pool although it’s not deeper than 4ft. The indoor pool is open late and has a water slide which was a lot of fun. We were there during the week and were very disappointed that only one restaurant was open during our stay. Turns out on Saturday more restaurants we’re opening and there was an event by the outdoor pool being set up. For a “resort” it was very limited and had nothing going on during the week which was disappointing. However it’s well located to the city or to the northern part of the island.

Great hotel with minor flaws

*None: Reserved a 4-bed room.
PRO: Indoor pool, restaurants, Shoppete, free parking, Wifi, Ethernet LAN cable in the room, two sinks, large room. Walkable to Tropical beach and Ginowan Convention City Shopping Center and Round 1.
CON: It wasn't the summer season, so the out door areas weren't ready. Car dependent if you want to go any where other than those listed above.
Summary: I would visit again when the outside area is accessible. The room was large with good amenities and was very convenient with the light switches. A rental car is suggested, but taxis are also easy to come by as well.

My stay was confortable and convinient however, the gotel cateeed to beach goers and not all guest. There was incovinices; no room service no stack refrigeration, laundry was expensive and not enough machines. Room cleaning was not done every day. Poor hotel management. For the price I wouldnt recommend it.

The property is dated and the mattress was very firm. It seemed more like a box spring than a mattress. The outdoor pool was only available from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. this was very inconvenient especially if you wanted to go for an early morning swim or an evening swim after a long day out in the heat. The breakfast buffet was delicious however, the other options for meals, the remainder of the day were very limited in the bar was only open on Fridays and Saturdays. The hotel should consider more food options and bar options during the week for hotel guests.

The outside pool was too shallow for adults to swim. Also the water was too warm.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice view. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
Over all, our stay was pleasant but if you want to swim, I recommend to go to the beach nearby.

My main problems were three. First, services in English were very weak. Secondly, many facilities advertised, including restaurants and the bar, were closed due to Covid (but still advertised as present). Thirdly, the marble staircase has areas with no hand rail. One morning it was wet due to the rain and slippery. I fell head first down roughly 10 steps and hurt myself rather badly. THIS IS DANGEROUS,

I travelled with my wife, our 14-year-old daughter and our 9-year-old son. Our room was spacious with a nice view of the ocean. The swimming pool is free (most of resorts charge a fee) and opens from 7am to 10pm, the kids loved it. Laguna Garden is walking distance from tropical beach (which is small), there are lots of green area where the local kids come to play. Restaurants were good, hotel is clean, parking is free, and really nice staff. Close to American village and other attractions in Okinawa. I definitely recommend it.

The cleanliness and condition of the facility was comfortable. The staff was nice but seem a little confused at times around the cafe and dining facilities on to deal with customers during this pandemic.

Maybe due to the pandemic, the facility hours of operation of the pool, gym, and other service was very unsatisfactory.

Hours of operation was only in the afternoons 1430 to 2100

Great hotel for family travelers !

i stayed three nights here and it has been nothing but a terrific hotel for us . Rooms are very spacious with. A great view of the sea if you booked the sea view rooms . The restaurants are filled with all sort of great choices for breakfast . We love the location as well it’s just a 8 min drive to the supermarket, restaurants , and a sports stadium for kids . Yes like other would say I do find the design of the hotel alittle dated but it doesn’t bother us at all . Its a very very clean and well kept up hotel for its age .

It is a pretty common area, the neighborhood is not much to look at. The hotel is in need of renovation. My balcony door was worn out. There was a stale smell in hallway and room. The desk staff was very helpful. However, I couldn’t get breakfast (which I paid for) as the restaurant was packed, and I had a plane to catch.

They upgraded us to a larger room with sea view. Property was clean considering its age, staffs are also helpful. The breakfast was really great!! You are given two options Japanese style or western style, on our first day we tried Japanese on the second day we tried western, we really liked both. The only bummer was that I didn’t have time to enjoy the western style breakfast as we need to rush to make our flight.
