I had an amazing extended stay at B&B Mons Centre. The management, led by Manuela, and her staff were outstanding. From the smooth check-in to the immaculate room, everything was perfect. The hotel staff were always available, addressing any needs with professionalism and a personal touch. Their exceptional service made me feel right at home. The fitness center was functional, and the hotel's location was great, with easy access to local attractions and business centers. I highly recommend B&B Mons Centre and will definitely return on my next visit.

I'm vacating my apartment in mons so have been staying at a number of local hotels. Stayed in room 113 for a week. My only negative is no aircon which would be a nightmare in the summer, they do supply a big noisy fan. Perhaps B&B who are new owners will install aircon? Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. Very comfortable bed, i slept very well. Would recommend the B&B centre mons (ex lido). There is a launderette just up the street, open 24/7, tokens on sale for machines inside

Returned for a second stay and reception is still a shambles. One poor girl dealing (very well in trying circumstances) with a long queue all on her own. She was super but really, must have more staff on front desk at peak arrival time.
What is unforgivable is that the internet connection still did not work to allow payments as I reported three weeks ago.
Hard to recommend when such an important aspect seems of no interest to the management.
If that issue was resolved I would evaluate this hotel and town as certainly worth a visit.

I had to extend my stay so had to move rooms ( not an issue). Both rooms were nice but a tv remote had flat batteries in the first room. The second room had what looked like large heat blisters on the surface of the desk and a worn away edge and a bulb off in the bathroom so I think the maintenance needs to be a bit better. Other than that the staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast was fine. Very close to bars and restaurants.

Acceptable hotel for one night stay. Whilst the room was dated in terms of decor, no automatic heating system (needed to turn on radiator and no AC) and no plug sockets near the bed), room was clean, very spacious, bed was comfy. Breakfast was average, nothing fancy, basic continental options. Poor veggie vegan options however.

We stayed at this hotel for three weeks pending our departure from Belgium. We stayed in a room with a small kitchen area and fridge. This made our stay easier given the length of stay. Comfortable bed, which is key for us. Kind and helpful staff. We had an issue with maintenance early on which they fixed right away. Walkable to downtown. Parking but very narrow entrance. Some street parking available.

finally arrived at the hotel. reception very friendly and helpful.
the rooms are a little dated and probably could do with a freshen up TBH.
Excellent location for walking to town centre where all the bars and restaurants are.
Bonus of a sauna and jacuzzi which we didn't expect.

Decent mid-range hotel

Clean and comfortable, if fairly basic, hotel with friendly reception. The location is on the periphery of the centre and - unusually for Belgium - there are no good cafés or restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but Mons is a fairly small city and it is barely 10 minutes' walk (or a 2-minute bus ride) up the Rue de Nimy to the Grand'-Place.

Hotel was fine but welcome far from friendly.
We have been touring in Poland,Czech Republic and Germany where people were genuinely friendly,helpful and seemed pleased to see us.This gentleman probably the boss did not even greet us and seemed like he had better things to do than actually go through the procedure of greeting and checking us in.Despitemy addressing g him in French he i dusted in talking to me in English which I found quite patronising .I guess he took an instant dislike to us for some reason, I certainly won’t be sending him any Xmas cards either

I was surprised by the property. The room was smaller than i thought it would be. No refrigerator or microwave in the room. The bed was 2 twin mattresses pushed together[ everytime I moved they separated]. The breakfast was good. The wifi system is horrible that's when and if it
was working at all,and unsecure.

I booked the room based in Orbitz description and customers' reviews. When I walked into the room, it was hot and I could nit find the thermostat. I called the front desk and theyvyild me that I booked the room without air conditioning. I responded that \"I did not know that such a thing exists in hotels\" ans asked, if they had air conditioned rooms. They apparentky did for €25 more. I agreed to take that room, even rh oui ugh it had one k in ng size bed rather than two twins, which would have been better for my 5-years old son.

Good location - limited and VERY tight parking. Had to change rooms during my planned stay (9 days) as I was given a room just above a busy street level and the parking garage! Thankfully after a little hassle I was begrudgingly given an upgraded room -only because it was the only one available for my stay.

Woes continued as wifi (which is already poor as is and barely enough to do any meaningful work) went down. The manager? at the front desk seemed to care very little as the 'guy was in Spain.'

All in all, the hotel is very dated with no facilities and definitely not worthy of the price. There are better options in Mons.

Handy for the City Centre

We arrived slightly early and our room wasn't ready, came back an hour later and were given an alternative room because it still wasn't ready. This room was a disappointment, one curtain was hanging from just a couple of hooks, there were crumbs from a previous occupant's breakfast croissant on the floor and the bath and wc were far from clean. On complaining, the duty manager appeared to be shocked, especially at the state of the bathroom, she apologised profusely and we were allocated a different room which was altogether better,

On checkout, they waived the local taxes,because of the inconvenience on arrival, which was appreciated. We would probably stay here again.

We had a 4 night stay..did not have breakfast or drinks at the hotel as there are lots of options in town which is just a few minutes walk away.Not sure the room has air-conditioning so that might be an issue in the summer.Only problem was slightly insecure door lock.. but we didn't raise it with the hotel.

Service is always top notch. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. He explained all about the Belgium beers and made/served great mixed drinks. During the day, the lady at the front desk gave me, right on target, restaurant choices in the city center. I will continue to use this hotel with future visits.

Great hotel in Mons with a few small issues...

Lido is a nice well kept hotel, but the little things let it down. The room was spacious and modern and was well kept. My window wouldn't lock shut, the wifi only worked sometimes and there was something wrong with the feed to the TV which made it so only the first few channels could be tuned in. Also, the A/C controls didn't seem to work properly as no matter what the setting, the heat would often come on. The hotel is at a busy intersection, so get a room at the back if you don't want to be bothered by noise.

Decent place, did not spend too much time, but was close to where I needed to be and also close to town with 5-10 minute walks to the city centre and 15-20 minute walk to the main station (the city is rather small after all). Quiet location, air conditioning may have been nice for the few days when it is exceptionally hot. Did not have time for breakfast so no judgement on that, but from what I heard it was the usual, so nothing exceptional to write home about. Price was fairly high, but similar to others in town so cannot hold that against them. Overall, a decent place, will likely stay there again if I had to be in town again.

If you want close to The Grand Palace, dinning and shopping you are good to go. The hotel was clean, room size was good, king bed was good, nice size bathroom with nice shower bath combo. Instant coffee in the room. Breakfast was only ok, but nicer bakery near by. Horrid gym, only one bike worked, kind of. If you are looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel, look else where. English spoken by staff. Very polite staff.

Is ok. Not the cheapest hotel in the area so I expected something good. Ended up as average. 2 Disappointments. First was that I was leaving early in the morning. I had booked breakfast so asked if it was possible to either have an early breakfast or a packed one. No and no was the answer.I was leaving at 6.30, breakfast started at 7 so I wasnt asking for something in the middle of the night. So I checked out at 6.30 and was chaged for a breakfast I couldnt have!!! Not good.
The other point is the cost for parking a car. I find it bad practice. Doesnt make me want to go back.

The hotel is very smartly appointed in the public areas, and the room was well furnished. The only slightly disappointing thing was the bathroom which was slightly tired. However, it was nice to have a bath, rather than the usual shower. The breakfast buffet was good with a reasonable range of choice. It was difficult to find the car park and although it was secure, there was little room to manoeuvre which would have been difficult if the car park had been full.

The hotel was nice and quiet. Staff were helpful and spoke english well. The breakfast had a big selection but the hot food wasn't too fresh as it had been sitting awhile. The fitness centre had enough equipment for a decent workout however wasn't open till 8 am. No thelpful if yoiu have to work. The rooms were a good size, clean and had comfortable beds. Overall, it was a good hotel and I recommend it.
