After check-in. We went out of hotel for dinner and we were told to leave our room key at front desk. When we returned to hotel at 12am the hotel was locked and we could not enter. We buzzed the door and knocked for 15 minutes. We had to drive to different hotel to stay the night. I would like full refund.

Rustic and Charming with a Old house feel.

Once you understand that this is a rustic classical hotel with an Old Farmhouse feel you can relax and enjoy the experience , a modern trendy place this is not. It does have a fridge and kettle in the room , the hot water in the bathroom takes an age to arrive but is fine once it does. As mentioned in other reviews the floorboards creak and it was nessesary to leave the wardrobe door ajar to prevent it creaking when someone passes the room . Its rustic and charming in its own way.

My booking was changed to another hotel without prior notification. It put me further away from my destination and at great inconvenience. Reception would not assist with my heavy bag up the stairs, and did not offer to find someone who could. Heat in room did not get warm, so not at my preferred temperature.

Spacious room with decent wi-fi. Only problem was shower. Plumbing was so bad it was impossible to shower as water came out everywhere except shower rose (room 3). Food in restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast

Very disappointing.

We were rebooked by the hotel into another hotel, which was pretty awful. I rated nearly everything average, as we didn't, unfortunately, actually stay there. The Monte Cristo reimbursed us the charge, which had already been made, but it was little compensation for a very unsatisfactory night's stay in the rebooked hotel (for which, incidentally, we had to pay parking - no compensation for that!).

This is a quintessential beauty just outside of Mons.
Sporting a full courtyard to have an afternoon drink and read a book, or having the best meal of your life at L'Effet Beouf, the Monte Cristo is number 1 on my list of places to stay while on business or for pleasure in Mons.

The rooms are simply stated, with views that will take you out of the city and into the country side of Belgium.

If I could live there I would.

The staff is professional and accommodating. Check in is very easy.

Please stay here. You will not regret it.

Far from Mons city center. 15€ taxi each way.
One day they forget to male the room, the bathroom was shaking, it looked like it was going to fall. I heard the noise from the next room

Very pleasant hotel just north of Mons city centre

This hotel was perfect for our needs as it was less than 15 mins' drive from the centre of Mons with a comfortable room and bed and a large free off-road car park. The young man who welcomed us and served us drinks couldn’t have been more helpful. There is no lift, which was no problem for us, but might be a consideration for other visitors, and the bathroom toilet arrangement was a little restricted, but again no problem for us. There was food available, although we didn't need to eat there - it looked and smelt delicious, The hotel was very reasonably priced for its location. We would certainly stay there again.

Overnight stop on drive home from Munich.

No one to check me in despite arriving before check in closed. KSU was left out with a note.
Toilet was broken and difficult to flush and no AC in room.
When I left the lady on the desk didn’t speak English and couldn’t find my booking. I paid by credit card when I left but then was also charged on my card from hotels.com. Hotel were quick to apologise and refund one payment. Didn’t seem to be very organised.
Location was ok and room was fine. AC was blasting in the hallway but nothing in the room which got very hot.

One night was enough!

Was booked at the last minute - same day. Confirmation was for a double room but ended up with twin singles. Arrived late from Brussels and found hotel very difficul to locate. Had to phone (manager?) several times for directions despite having a satnav. After 3rd call he was not amused and it was obvious. I speak fluent French and understood all he said reasonably well except for the bit where he forgot to say make a \"U\" turn after the lights!!

Het is een oud pand, alles kraakt,vloeren zijn doorgezakt.
Bedden zijn hard en laag.
Veel geluidsoverlast van de drukke weg.
Er staat een grote ventilator, maar die kan alleen op voluit stand, nog meer herrie.
Kamers worden niet gelucht,voordat de gasten arriveren.
Het ruikt muf,naar sigaretten.
Ontbijt is sober, maar redelijk,qua prijs die er nog extra bovenop komt a€15 pp. Duur!

Personeel is wel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Wij gaan niet meer terug!

Buitengewoon gastvrij hotel, met zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.
Een aanrader, als je (zoals wij) Pairi Daiza hebt bezocht, en niet na een dag slenteren in de dierentuin, direct wil terugrijden naar Nederland.

Il faut faire couler l’eau très très longtemps pour obtenir un filet d’eau chaude sans pression.
La couette n’est pas assez large pour le lit et les oreillers sont fatigués.

Personalet på hotellet var flinke og rare. Beliggenhed var OK som udgangspunkt for at se noget af Belgien.
Super god restaurant som ikke tilhører hotellet. Praktisk at restauranten var i samme bygning.
Hotellet er ekstremt nedslidt og ikke vedligeholdt. Det er næsten en umulig opgave at nævne alle manglerne.
Alt i alt var hotellet en skuffende oplevelse.

La totalité de la chambre est décevant autant concernant la propreté (moisissures, poussières, pétales en forme de coeur restant de la Saint Valentin 2023...) que le confort (matelats inconfortables, lit d'appoint inconfortable...).
L'isolation sonore est inexistante puisque nous avons entendu le bébé de la chambre d'à côté pleurer toute la nuit.
Seul l'extérieur est charmant d'où notre déception concernant la qualité des services car le personnel n'a pas été accueillant.
Heureusement, il y a netflix !!!

We've booked and payed for 3 guests but were given a room with beds for 2 people. Sure, after an exposition the hotel brought the missing bed but they expected us to put the bed linen in place - so we did. We've had to remind that a third set of towels was still missing. Finally we waived the third \"welcome package\" (soap and so on).
The bathroom smelled strongly and unbearable of mildew.
The road was basically load of traffic all night long.
The breakfast was expensive and did not offer much was the money.

Er is al jaren niet meer geïnvesteerd in dit hotel en dat valt op. Eigenlijk moet het hele hotel volledig vernieuwd worden.
De bedden gaven ons rugpijn.
Er is geen haardroger aanwezig.
Er is een smart TV op de kamer.
Zelf hebben we er niet gegeten maar vermits alle tafels bezet waren ga ik ervan uit dat het een goed restaurant is.
Het ontbijt was sober maar zeker voldoende.
De parking is ruim.

De kamers hadden al jaren geleden gerenoveerd moeten worden! De vloer van onze kamer was niet alleen aflopend, maar had ook een paar gaten, onder de vloerbedekking. Tegels in de badkamer afgebroken en schimmel op het plafond in de badkamer. Dun dekbed en nare kussens. Wonderlijk genoeg was de kamer wel zeer schoon.

We hadden geen warm water op de kamer dit aangegeven werd niet opgelost en vloer was bizonder slecht houten vloer waar regelmatig een plank weg was wat niet opviel door de vloerbedekking eroverheen.maar als je liep over de vloer leek je wel op een boot te zitten die beweging was niet normaal Badkamer kwam uit de jaren 80 en is nooit netjes afgewerkt restaurant was zeker goed en zat ook continu vol. Het gedeelte hotel werd erbij gedaan maar niet van harte

Personeel is zeer vriendelijk , 4 talig staat er maar dit is zeker niet het geval, paar Engelse woordjes,
Hotel zelf is zeer slecht onderhouden ,kamers ruiken muf en zijn vuil, stof , spinnenwebben, vuil tapijt, vensterbanken dode vliegen, badkamer.... echt gedateerd, restaurant daar en tegen is zeer goed, en modern , eten is echt goed. , Hotel is bijkomst lijkt mij , spijtig.

Hôtel agréable, salle de bain petite et plancher craquant. Nous aurions pu mettre un avis beaucoup plus favorable si au milieu de la nuit, 4h45 nous n'avions pas été réveillé (chambre N°5) \"au dessus de la porte d'entrée\", par un individu qui voulait entrer et qui a donc frappé à la porte très fort faisant vibrer notre chambre, mais surtout cela a duré jusqu'à 6h20. Cela démontre qu'il n'y avait personne pour faire entre cette personne ni pour l'empêcher de faire ce bruit, pas de gardien, ce qui pour un soit disant 3 étoiles, me semble anormal. L'hôtel étant excentré une personne devrait être affectée à cette mission, car on paye un hôtel pour pouvoir dormir me semble-t-il.

Less than what expected and many service mistakes

There was nobody at the reception when I arrived around 6pm.
I have found a dead cockroach in my room and the walls where so thin I could hear everything from the rooms next to mine.
I asked the reception to book a taxi, but it was not done so I lost my train in the morning.
The restaurant of the hotel is also very expensive and totally not in line with the quality of the food.

Overall I will not go back.

check-in inesistente, camera vecchia con servizio tv non funzionante. Mobili vecchi, bisognava staccare le prese del frigo per mettere presa luce o carica batteria . Hotel rimasto così da 100 anni. Nessuno presente la mattina per poter chiedere qualcisa.

quand nous sommes arrivé personnes a l'accueil, juste sur le comptoir des clés et une avec notre nom. Arrivé devant notre chambre porte ajouré en haut même fermé. on y a trouvé une brosse a dent des anciens clients, un frigo débranché sous un bureau, des multi prises apparentes un peu par tout,une télévision avec des chaines mal réglés, un velux qui ne laisse pas passé la lumière tellement qu'il est sale. Je doute de certains commentaire qui on était fait sur cet hôtel . C'est bien dommage car il y a du potentiel dans cet hotel

Rent - men i øvrigt lidt skuffende..

Lidt skuffende af et ⭐️⭐️⭐️Hotel at være.
1) Der var lydt
2) Døren til badeværelset sprang op; og kunne ikke låses
3) Ingen hårtørrer
4) Køleskab, men ikke tilsluttet ved ankomst; kl 00 stadig ikke fuldt nedkølet, så vi gav op
5) Defekt mørklægningsgardin, som ikke sluttede tæt og dermed lyste de projektører, som oplyste facaden lige ind i hovedet på os.
6) hotellet ikke bemandet om natten, så ingen at bede om intervention i forhold til larmende overbo, som var temmelig ligeglad med henstillinger.
I øvrigt rent, gode senge. God restaurant i forb. m hotellet

week end avec 1 nuit sur place.nous n'avons pas mangé sur place mais les prix étaient très abordables et le menu très copieux.
la personne à l'accueil était très sympathique et les réponses à nos questions étaient claires.
la chambre au 2ème étage était propre,opérationnelle.
bien que donnant sur une grande avenue,le bruit n'était pas si important que ça.nous avons passé une excellente nuit avec une très bonne literie.

Good meat restaurant but bad hotel. Wifi in rooms not working, electricity in room not in order, room lacking basic services, takes long time to get the invoice. Unpolite owner.
