Excellent, really helpful staff - the biggest asset in our view.

We had a pool-facing suite. Furniture in our suite was a bit worn out and there were stains on the carpet. The bathroom and shower were oversized and, I think, disproportionate to the overall size of the suite - together almost the same square footage as the living/sleeping space. However, overall a good size, and the bed was spacious and very, very comfortable.

Great selection at breakfast and good wines on the drinks menu.

The rooftop pool is a wonderful oasis at the hotel. We didn't get to use the spa, except for a massage and facial appointment which were both great.

The Hotel was very nice. The room however had a damp smell and feel throughout the stay. Staff very nice and helpful. Pricing for food disappointing. Major difference between over charge and being ripped off. Two scoops of ice cream $17 USD which is completely ridiculous. The spa was very nice and clean. Hotel within walking distance of shopping and exploring. Very close to the airport.

The hotel itself is very beautiful. My room is clean my biggest issue is that a lot of the plugs in my room did not work and the TV remote also did not work. I did not stay here long due to me traveling the following day. I would give this Hotel another chance in hopes that my next stay would be better. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

This hotel is a gem and great place to stay as a solo traveler. As a woman, I felt safe and cared for. The amenities are well done and the food options are great for the stay. Also, check out Mama Africa across the street for any of your souvenirs needs (not a paid ad, it's just VERY convenient).

From the moment I stepped into the Kempinski, I knew I was in for something special. The hotel is simply stunning, elegant décor, immaculate attention to detail, and a serene atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The complimentary drinks were generously stocked, and the welcome treats such as fresh fruits, a box of chocolates, and both still and sparkling water, were a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire stay. Dining at the Papillon restaurant was a delight. Whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, or just a lover of bold, flavorful cuisine, the menu caters to every dietary need without compromising on taste. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour.

The spa? Absolutely divine. I indulged in two treatments and left feeling completely rejuvenated. The therapists were professional, attentive, and created a truly luxurious experience.

Having stayed at other hotels in Accra, I can confidently say that none compare to the Kempinski. It’s not just a hotel ,it’s an experience. Transparent pricing, no hidden charges, and exceptional service throughout. I’ve already recommended it to family and friends travelling to Ghana in 2026, and I’ll be returning without hesitation. In my view, a trip to Accra isn’t complete without a stay at the Kempinski.

I travelled to Ghana for my birthday and everything about my stay exceeded my expectations. From my room to the staff singing happy birthday at breakfast, and then the bedroom set up with the bed display, cake, champagne, I couldn't have asked for a more special way to start my new year. All of the staff were so lovely, particularly Charity and it will definitely be a hotel I will stay at again and recommend!

Kempinski completely changed my idea of what a hotel stay could feel like. I didn’t expect to be this impressed—especially since that same month I had already stayed in three different hotels across three countries: Port Harcourt (Nigeria), Doha (Qatar), and Singapore. Each of those was nice in its own way, but Kempinski outshone them all by a long mile.

The staff alone set the tone—responsive, genuinely joyful in the way they attended to every request. Then came the food: the buffet was a world tour on its own, with endless options and champagne right on the menu. From my room, the pool view was incredible, and the complimentary sauna and steam bath made the experience feel even more indulgent.

What really sealed it was the personal touch. I had mentioned it was my wife’s birthday, and we returned to find the room beautifully decorated, a whole cake waiting, and a bottle of champagne on ice with two glasses. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare.

Even down to the little details—like Ferragamo body lotion, shampoo, and body wash—it felt like luxury in places I didn’t expect. Kempinski didn’t just meet expectations; it set a new bar. I’ll definitely be returning to Ghana, and when I do, Kempinski will be my first stop

Beautifully appointed hotel. Great spa and gallery. Staff friendly and helpful. Two glitches were with room service, once the delivery of the order took almost double the time and the other time the chose. Option was not available but it took awhile for them to realize that it was not available which meant that I again had to wait extra time for my order.

Large, clean hotel, but very little character and questionable service.
No ironing boards in rooms and i had to call 3 times and wait almost two hours for one to be delivered.

Very slow service in bars and restaurant.

I had a late flight, but no offer of even a short late check out without a $150 bill - even though hotel was clearly quiet.

Condidering nights are circa $500 a night, you would expect something a little better.

First trip to Ghana and stayed at the Kempinski Hotel. Greeted by staff who were welcoming, ploite and well presented. The hotel was spacious, clean easy on the eyes. Our room although small to my standard was clean, room service amazing. Food was on point, the breakfast staff was awesome and attentive. Overhaul the hotel staff were very professional, greeted us with a friendly smile. The tour guide arranged by the beautiful and stunning Akousa made our trip more memorable. Will be returning x

Traveled with my wife and sister and it was wonderful. The hotel was beautiful and the room we where in was clean and I love that there was fruit waiting for us and drinks were complimentary . We met a lot of nice people there. Our stay was very accommodating. The pool area was very nice and cozy. I love that the sauna, jacuzzi, steam room were complimentary. Upon arrival we were greeted by Gifty who was amazing our entire stay. Tabitha checked on us our entire stay. Richard took us where we needed to go. Emelia who was kind. Had a great conversation with Eddie. Bernard and Michael who served my wife while she was at lounging by the pool. Abel who was very informative. I will definitely come back again.

It was one of the most amazing Hotel Experiences I ever had. I am from USA and this Hotel in Ghana absolutely out did itself. It was like being at home away from home only in a Palace as a King or a Queen. The staff was there every moment you need them you just whisper in a direction and they will help you no matter the need. The world wide buffet had foods from all over the world so no matter where you live you can eat just as if you were in your home town. From the finest of foods to chicken strips it was absolutely Amazing.Fruits Vegan any diet. You may think i was paid to write this but i was absolutely not. Suggestions : don't drive yourself take a taxi and 2) this hotel is a great way to haven yourself from the outside world while really getting a feel for the culture. Swimming, Moonlight dances, Ball rooms they had it all. It was worth many times the costs. Thank you all staff for your excellent outstanding service.

It was a shame they started construction on the fool area, because there is now lots of drilling and half the pool is closed off. The entire staff at the property presented top tier service. No matter who you encountered their level of service was always 100. It is because of the staff my stay was a 5 star stay. The rooms are not 5star level now maybe they were initially but if they continue upgrading I believe they will get back there. I must commend the staff for maintaining top tier customer service everyday. It started with the front desk employees to the waiters at breakfast, lunch, dinner and housekeeping. Notably Ephryam at check-in, Horlali concierge, Akosua at guest services, Derek, Rosamonde in housekeeping and Alicia, Lydia and others at breakfast. Exceptional service everyday.

It was an excellent stay and we are definitely coming back. The only issue we had was the breakfast buffet did not have the usual scrambled or boiled eggs available. The only option was to order which was not convenient if you did not have time to wait. We spoke to a hotel Rep who said she will address the issue. Otherwise it was a perfect stay.

Room-6 out of 10, I rated this way because more attention is needed in this area. Getting in/out of the bathtub is challenging. Either create an entry door into the bathtub that allows guests to walk in/out or eliminate the bathtub option and create walk in showers. The way it is set up now makes it hard for children and people with mobility limitations. Also, there weren't enough towels for 2 people, so we had to request more and for some reason the towels are not given in any type of sequence. For example, we had 2 bath size towels, one hand towel and zero face towels as opposed to 2 of everything.
Staff-10 out of 10. Very accommodating!!! Their attention to detail is impeccable.
Property-10 absolutely stunning!! I can't even put into words the beauty of the hotel. AMAZING!!
