The pool was nice. Pretty view and lots of lounge chairs. Beach is very small, more like a cove rather than the beautiful stretches of white sand beaches in other Stations.
My room was very shabby. Furniture peeling, cracked caulk in the showers, just not the attention to detail that makes a hotel room pleasant to stay in.The room needed to be remodeled desperately!
The common area was nice, obviously updated.
Restaurant was average and I felt was a bit overpriced.
Some of the staff was very nice.
The hotel itself is located down a long road away from the main street. Either a long walk uphill or a trike ride. Not much in that neiborhood to see once you reached the top. They had a shuttle to D'Mall and the shuttle driver was very happy and personable.
I thought the Wyndham name would provide a more positive experience, but I was not impressed.
Make sure you know what Station the hotel you're going to book is in. They all have different vibes, depending on what you're looking for.
My hotel search was for hotels in Station 3, but Hotels.com throws any property in whether it matches your search or not. Would I stay there again? Absolutely not.

Amazing stay, room spacious and clean, beds comfortable. Staff super lovely and accommodating. Free shuttle bus every hour to D*Mall. Amazing view of the beach located right on the beach with a pool(which my son was in every day) I would definitely stay here again 😊

Nice Hotel and wonderful staff but most of the hotels in the area offers all you can eat breakfast. Microtel serve their breakfast with small portion, the mix fruits are dried, looks like leftover from the other day and the fruits is warm in short not worth it paying breakfast, very disappointing experience. everyday I’m going to different hotel to eat my meals where offers buffet and live band. Also, Microtel offer island hopping with seafood buffet but the buffet at the island is just rice mixed vegetables, noodle and serving only four shrimps per person, suppose to be seafood buffet but don’t know what happened to seafood buffet, they have bbq but not everyone can have it, the restaurant is not appealing, there’s dog walking while eating, too much flies the food are sucks, silverware not properly wash so slimy or oily, the restroom is very dirty, nasty and disgusting. everything you do in each island you have to pay I thought all entrance and activities are included to the trip fee but not it’s a ripoff tour. I was going to do the sunset tour the following day but I decided to stay at other location where I can listen to live music.

All of the servers at the restaurant were friendly, especially Apple. The location is more secluded which we really liked and there is direct access to the beach. We would definitely stay again! Krissha one of my favorite frobt desk receptionists and Joemar were both excellent in their job. The only problem hotel front not attractive to guest due squatters and the road needs repair. Boracay is one of my favorite place in the Philippines. One thing shocks me was there was a lot of run down buildings surrounding the area. Getting in the hotel is a little difficult because at the time I was there, the road going to the property was muddy. I love the greenery, however, hotel shows its age, hotel hallways was musty, and probably needs some cleaning, it smells like dried sweat. the room was clean and extremely cold! I got a jungle view in my balcony which gives a lot of charm to my stay. It did rain a lot. The food? Salty, the adobo was salty and too sour for my taste. My friend said the chicken curry was super spicy. The breakfast was ok. they have super delicious flambe ( ? ) in mangga flavor. The pool was great, i just wish they would get rid of the tour people and sellers by the pool..felt like i was being harrassed everyday! there was “ habagat” or high surfs when we were there, the wind were relentless. However it never stop us from enjoying our stay.

I like the serene place, own beachfront and nice pool.

The road going to the hotel is terrible. They have scheduled van service but most of the time you cant schedule coz theres only one for all guests. Travel timenis 40min to port and 30min to Dmall. Rough roads and its really far. An hour walk to dmall from hotel.

The reception keeps on messing up with van schedules. Security are not friendly. Almost always coffee is empty. Theres a lot of restrictions but no sign at all.

You cant play music by the pool even if its toned down. You cant eat at the hall sala set near coffee machine. Etc.

Perfect Place for a Quiet, Secluded Stay

Microtel is located on a secluded beach with marvelous views and clear water. The pool is maybe 4 feet deep, but it is clean and great for kids. The restaurant is good for a hotel this size. If all you are looking for is a quiet resort where you are tucked away, then this is a fantastic choice. However, the main tourist area is some distance away, and just about all of the roads on the island are badly torn up with road construction (nothing that Microtel can do about this). The government is installing sewer and storm drain lines and widening the roads, so it will be a couple of years before you see a real improvement on the island. It rained part of the time we were on the island, so the roads were bumpy (as in Jeep trail rough) and muddy. The resort itself is located at the very end of a winding neighborhood road that is barely wide enough for the hotel shuttle to pass. The free hotel shuttle is the only real option for getting to the main tourist area unless you wish to hike over the hill to Long Beach (which I am not up to). You have to sign up for the free hotel shuttle hours in advance to be ensured a seat. That kind of makes spontaneous ventures a little difficult. The WIFI in our room was a little weak, and it cut out a few times, but then so did the power (only momentarily).

After putting in my online review on our first night, the hotel manager changed our rooms & made some adjustments based on my review. They were very accommodating & apologetic. We lost some things inside our room.

We bought some boracay shirts and other stuffs, to be exact 13 shirts and 4 small bags for pasalubong. It got lost inside our room. The cctv review showed that we brought it inside the room but no feedback till now how it got missing.
Before our checkout, we had our bags check so that it is very clear that we dont have it. Until now, still no feedback on how it got lost. They should have offered to replace it or more proactive in giving us feedback. it's sad because we enjoyed our stay except for that situation.

Perfect hotel for families!

Microtel was the best place to stay in Boracay for our young family. On Diniwid Beach, away from all the crowds, the hotel had playground, pool and direct access to the beach only 20 meters away! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful at all times, even going out of their way to play with our kids. Recommend very highly.

The Staff Makes the Place

So I am at the airport and my stay is very fresh. As my title States the staff really makes the Microtel an enjoyable stay.

If you haven't been to Boracay you fly into an airport, take a bus to the arrival terminal, grab any bags and arrange for transportation to the Island. Take a shuttle to a boat to a shuttle to the hotel. Depending on congestion it could take 30 minutes to get there.

Once at the hotel, you walk through an alley to the reception area. You are greeted with some frozen ice tea, a necklace and a cold towel. Check in for a group of 13 was a bit chaotic, it worked itself out eventually.

We arrived at the hotel around 5 pm and were treated to an amazing sunset There are loungers and chairs by the beach and pool area to enjoy the sound of the small crashing waves, a drink, and some recorded music.

The rooms are ok. If you've been to Mexico, Dominican republic, etc... Think that type of room. Nothing to write home about, it does the trick. Be aware this is tropical, I did see a lizard crawling up the wall in my room. Also, there is the use of an energy saver device. Amenities are soap and shampoo.

There is a free shuttle to dmall. I didn't have a problem with the scheduling and reserving of the shuttle. It can get cramped and hot inside. It is more like a pick up with a cab and an additional air conditioning unit.

The breakfast that is is complimentary is a la carte off a menu, not a buffet. It was satisfactory, the ladies working the area are super pleasan

A friendly hotel with very accommodating and helpful staff. Their choices of breakfast is better than average considering it's free. Their omelette was good. Minimum toiletries just shampoo and soap and towels but it's okay we came prepared. Got beach towels. Got shuttle service hourly. And quite punctual which saves us the trouble of haggling tricycle fare. One tricycle trip is 150Php. Must make reservation with the hotel for the service. Beach is right there with a lot of washed up debris. My kids enjoyed playing on the sand everyday. We dined a couple of times at the Spider House on wet days, just 5 minutes walk. Whole body massage in your room at a reasonable price 450P. Tipping at Boracay is about 20P.

Microtel was by the beach and has a beautiful view of diniwid beach. Unfortunately it was too windy and rainy due to the habagat wind when we were there and couldn't do much with the kids. But luckily there was the playground and the kids spent a lot of time enjoying themselves there. The staffs were great and they accompanied us all the way to the jetty when we left. Excellent service!

Perfect location on Diniwid beach, away from the madness and noise that is Boat Station 1,2 and 3, yet only a 10 min trike ride away. Some fantastic restaurants within a 2 minute walk away. I recommend Wahine, Spider House, a lovely little Italian whose name I forget and the lovely Mama's Fish House.
