Room was badly in need of updating,,, smooth ceramic tile everywhere so floors and shower where a hazard,,, several floor level changes of a inch or two with no rounded top edge or bevel ( took several toe beating to get memory imbedded),, thought I lost key in pool, said there was no replacement and a 300 peso charge,,, was told they would delete lost key access since it had a room number,,, found key next day and access was never stopped,,,

We really loved this hotel. The staff were super attentive and helpful since we first step foot in the door. There is always someone there to greet and assist if needed; really made the whole experience feel luxurious. The hotel was clean and well kept, although we didn’t have a window the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The rooftop pool has the best views and was clean. The pictures don’t do justice to how wonderful this hotel is. Also, the location is perfect, with many food, drink and shopping near by. Also, not to far of a walk to station 1 or 3 as it’s right in between. I would definitely come back.

Hotel location is fantastic, you are right by the beach, breakfast (Restaurant) area has full view of the beach and the white sands. Hotel has 2 pools and they are very nice, but the beach is much nicer.
To get here from the Main Street you need to walk your luggage about 5 minutes, and the last 20-50 ft is on sand. You will usually get help from the transportation.

Pros:
- Location , middle of everything, right by the beach, lots of restaurants, good breakfast, week-end is buffet style. and you can order unlimited, coffee, eggs and bread
- Clean: The staff does a superb job of keeping the hotel clean. They mop the floors everyday and my room was always clean with fresh water
-Service: Friendliest and most helpful people in the hotel, They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. I do not even remember touching the door as someone would rush to get the door for me every time
- on premise restaurant with good choices & Nightly music

CONS:
1- Do not expect a high end 5 star Hilton or Marriott rooms here. They are descent, clean but old . Everything is old.
2- my Shower was trickling water, zero pressure. I recommend upgrading shower heads
3- Zero view
4- Old Beds
5- Expect to see bugs, they just crawl into the room
6- AC: OLD type, very loud, and without it, you won't survive.
You are really paying for the location

We had an absolutely amazing time. The facility was great, the staff was great. The only reason I could not give it a 5 star review is because of the staff member at the rooftop pool trying to solicit excursions for the next day. I was bombarded and harassed enough on the beach that the last thing I wanted was one of the hotel staff members trying to get us to buy something from him. Or at least use his card so he could get a kickback. Other than him, the staff was top notch.

This is not a 4 star Hotel. Two at best, I would call it a 3 star because of the location and staff.
Doors going out to the deck, did not operate correctly.
Water pressure in the shower could barely keep the switch from going back to the faucet.
The hot tub in the room did not work.
The transfer from the hotel to the airport was 1900 psp for two people. If I would have did it myself it would have coast about half that. Location was great staff was great. Price of it all was way too high. I looked through most of the negative reviews and I do agree with most of them.

I like the location due to proximity to the beach. Breakfast was good. The Staff are super great! I was told by a Staff from a neighboring hotel (Mandarin I think) that I can’t use their beach cot/lounge chairs. So I moved. There is only like three or four provided by Uptown. The ones provided are not as comfortable as the ones provided by the other hotel.

The Uptown hotel is a older style mid range hotel on Boracay beach. The rooms are basic and completely lacked hot water for shower or washing.
There is an outdoor pool area.
The hotel lobby area has a series of very noisy rock music bands playing until after midnight on every night of the week.
Any customers would be well advised to bring secure ear plugs if they want any sleep.
Customers would also be advised to use another hotel if they wanted any hot water.

The only flaw about my room is it was right above the restaurant and stage area and was very extremely loud until about 1 am everynight. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING *nothing* like the pictures!

This hotel is not even close to 4 Star and has no business advertising itself as such.
The shower had minimal hot water and was a trickle. Premier Deluxe room contains a jacuzzi. Nice huh? It was broken - no hot water, the plug didn't work (it had a string tied to it so you could pull it out of the drain), and the jets were completely inoperative with their control removed and covered in duct tape.
Your \"ecstatic sensation\" and \"hip and modern facilities\" at the Infinity pool include exposed wires, splattered paint on room windows, multiple bags of cement piled up against the wall, stacked up tiles, random plastic chairs and tools, miniature scaffolding and something that resembles a rack for drying clothes - it legitimately looks like construction sight. Throw in some empty paint buckets too.
No deck chairs in the pool like in the pics - they're stacked up next to the entrance to the pool area and caked in dust. The swim up pool bar is completely inoperative and used as a storage area and is equally as filthy as the patio. There are no tiles or flooring of any kind on the patio leaving the cement beneath exposed, cracked and rough.
\"Hip and modern facilities\" continue with the showers and toilets - just move the mop and bucket in the shower to the side if you want to rinse off after your swim. Mind the rotting and rusted doors when using the toilet - hope you've had your shots. Blends perfectly with the rotting wood and corrugated iron that is the pool \"bar\". See pics

My experience in Uptown Hotel was terrible. There was cockroach’s on the floor. The water pressure in the shower barely worked. I felt like I didn’t feel clean after my shower. The bed was too tough causing me to have back and neck problems. The towels are poor quality. The only thing that’s good about Uptown Hotel is the location. Stay away from this hotel. It is very expensive and a terrible experience especially for the high paying price I paid for. I paid $1,300 for 7 nights just to experience a 1 star Hotel. I don’t recommend this place.

The property is not maintained anymore. The towel rack in the room is broken, furnitures are faded and a lot of scratches. Infinity pool wood entrance is not in good condition anymore and a bit dangerous to tripped yourself while walking. The other Elevator is broken while other one is rusting already but All of the staff are very helpful and accomodating that makes you feel welcome everyday.

Located right next to D’Mall at Station 2, you’ll be right at the center of the White Beach strip where the bars, dining, and shopping are concentrated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating from the time I arrived all the way til check out. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Although the hallway at the top floor where I stayed at always smelled like fried chicken. All in all, a wonderful little vacation.

Pillows. Had rat problem in one room they moved us to another room had the same rat problem. We had to get another hotel at four in the morning and they wouldn’t help us with that. They are making getting a refund very difficult and we didn’t even stay the next two days that we paid for.

Do not book...Boracay Uptown Hotel... The worst value hotel I have experienced in 47 years traveling the world... Based on paying $180 for 1 night... On Expedia listed as 4 star... Definitely NOT 4 STAR... MAYBE 2 STAR... For that price I expect some ambience... But no! Very old, dark and dingy, all surfaces marked or chipped, very old towels, sheets marked, only 1 key provided (so every time you leave the room the aircon is off), no drinking water in room, wiring exposed in a couple of areas, general property run down, breakfast 2 STAR, minimal selection, not even a knife for toast, after 5 pm the reception couldn't organise a transfer to the airport the next morning... Oh sorry there is one positive point... Located beachfront... But that's it!

The property was great. It’s location was perfect for us as we were traveling with 13 other people. We booked 2 executive suites and 1 premier suite. It came with free breakfast located at the top floor. The food was decent. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating. My only complaint was the live band that didn’t stop singing until 1145PM. Our room was located right above the stage, which was perfect in the daytime because we had the best view, but was terrible at night because of the band.

In my opinion this is not a 4 stars hotel, max 3 stars. The furniture is pretty old, the bathroom looks old also and there are some minor details that should not appear at a hotel like this, 4 star I mean.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, that helped us in every issue that we had.
The White beach is straight in front of the hotel, that’s very nice. And we received beach towels from the hotel, so no struggle with cleaning our own beach towels.
Laundry service was very quick and good.
We caught a big taifun during our stay and we didn’t have electricity, wi fi and water for periods of time, but I would say that they handled the situation good, giving the bad situation.

Property was not able to consider our request for late check out (We checked out 12nn and we requested for late check out at 2pm. They won't allow). We had to cut short our island hopping activity just to get back to our hotel in time. We even barely use the room because we arrive late on the day of our booking. And catched up with our family on different hotel. We only use the room in total of 5hrs (to sleep) for our whole one day stay.

Not to mention that since we came from our island hopping, we weren't able to take a shower and change our clothes before moving on with our next hotel. :(

Great location and right next to the beach and all of the popular destinations. Restaurants are only a few feet a way from the hotel. The hotels staff was nice and the room was comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the sofa in the room look a little dirty. A couple of fruits that were on the table had a tiny bite missing so im not sure if it was a rodent or a bug that got to it. Other than that it was great with a decent breakfast option. WiFI was terrible. I was not able to connect to this from either my room or the lobby. Tried on multiple devices as well.

I've been to Boracay multiple times, and I have wanted to book a reservation at this hotel ever since because it is located within the center of everything. I came back from the US, and was able to finally afford this place. I paid a decent price for this hotel. my best friend and I were welcomed whole heartedly by staff. we were given a glass of juice, a lei and cold towel upon arrival. that was sweet! we were assisted to our room with a smile. the room was clean and right next to the pool! it was convenient! had most of the amenities we would need during our stay. the only downside during our stay was the wifi connection. the connection could reach our room. we had to be close to the lobby to connect to the wifi. even cellular signal was poor. overall, our stay was comfortable. no other complaints!

When we arrived the Hotel had just reopened after the presidential decree to close Boracay.
I took this to be the problem when we got to our room as the tv remote and the A/C unit did not work, but after a phone call these were repaired very quickly, otherwise our stay was very pleasant

Our 4-night stay was good, overall. The hotel needs some sprucing up, though, like the elevator interiors, pool tiles, hallway paints, hotel entrance, etc.
The service inside the hotel is great, especially during breakfast. This great service is, however, not extended to the beachfront area of the hotel- Extending the service up to the beachfront part of the hotel would have completed the good experience.

The hotel is low maintained. Everything looks very bad. The rooms are not clean and we had mold all over the ceiling and walls. The smell there is unberiable and the elevators are disgusting. There are like 1,000 employees at this hotel but they are not doing anything all day long. Just walking around and talking to each other when they can clean, paint, polish and what not. This hotel in his situation now should close ASAP! I can’t believe I stayed there.. absolute disappointment..

A beachfront Hotel with ADDED RAT

This is my first time with Boracay Uptown. The ONLY good about this hotel is beachfront! However, being in a beachfront has downsides. (A) their band and their neighbor band will keep you awake til 1AM or worst 6AM
(B) If you are unlucky, and you were given a room facing the beach, their window has space. Which allows the smoke from the grilling of the restaurant below. So you all smell grilled bbq everyday.

Since its NewYear when we went there so the abovementioned downsides can be forgiven. What worst with this hotel is CLEANLINESS.
(A) we found a RAT inside our fridge! Nobody can explain how a RAT got inside the fridge. They did not clean thoroughly our room when we reported about the rat. I have asked 3 times for the room to be cleaned 'again'. They even told us that the rat might just wanted a cold breeze thats why it stayed in the fridge. (HOLY SMOKES) this is not a proper response to a customer who paid $1,200 for our stay!
(B) the hotel is outdated. The lift is tarnished and old.
(C) we stayed there for 4D3N, and everytime they clean the room I always need to call housekeeping 'again' to change the floor rug, change the towels and add 1 more towel (paid 5 legit folks for our suite!) Unsure how their make-up room policy is!
(D) the sink's clogged!
(E) if you need internet, theirs is not reliable. In our whole stay, I didnt even get a chance to send an email!

Their breakfast pineapple is GREAT! I think thats the only great i can comment.

Good hotel for the price

The staff is amazing, the customer service is great. Yet the hotel staff does not get the support it deserves to do a better job maintaining the hotel. They are all super customer service friendly, ready to assist at a moments notice.
Our room had some problems in the beginning, and the maintenance support was doing everything they could to help us. Finally after 4 hours we were able to move rooms.
From that point it was smooth sailing. Again, I want to say thanks to maintenance staff, the cleaning room staff, the cook at the morning buffet and the front desk staff and crew for making our stay an enjoyable one.

My Boracay trip

we landed at kalibo on 16th dec , at the same day weather no good , we are no allow to take a ferry to Boracay island , the bad news is no any hotels near by the Jetty port, we hv to sleep at jetty on the FLOOR for 2 night, may i know any refund for my 2 night hotels ? this is really bed experience for my family .

Nothing fancy but will do the job

I booked this hotel because of the location and colorful linens/room decor. From what I saw online, this hotel looked much better compared to the other hotels located on the beach. BEWARE that the pictures are outdated and the rooms are not in the conditions that are shown. However, I still enjoyed my time there with my boyfriend!! The hotel is located on the beach and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Upon arriving at the hotel, they greeted us with puka shell necklaces, cold towelettes, and iced drinks. I found that to be relieving because it is NOT easy getting to Boracay Island.

I was worried that we wouldn't sleep well because reviews said it can be quite loud at night with people out partying on the beach until 3am. My room was on the 2nd floor and was close to the front of the hotel facing the beach, but we did not hear any loud noises. It may be that our room did not have any windows but we slept quite well!

I am satisfied with my experience at Boracay Uptown. I would book again, but may want to check out other hotels just for the sake of seeing what else is out there!

I booked an Executive Suite room and it was a huge and spacious room. The view was beautiful and we really loved the big open windows. Although a couple of things need to be fixed and they need to make sure everything's 100% clean! Staff was great and friendly.

Worst hotel ever in boracay

Upon checking in the hotel asked for ALL the guest ID, Yes! ALL. the hotel charges a “VISITING FEE” for all non-hotel guest of 1,500 per person if they enter the hotel after 9pm. The room was not so clean. The pool has chip off tiles. BREAKFAST IS SOOO TERRIBLE!!! Food was NOT freshly cooked, limited options and NOT DELICIOUS. Very small hotel. Service all the staff was not prompt. The only thing you would like from this hotel is location, thats it.
