The check in process was fast and smooth. We were greeted by the cutest dog! The room was a quality for the price we paid. It did smell heavily of perfume. I have allergies so this was not pleasant for me//my husband said it smells good though. I do wish the was a thicker blanket in the room and more pillows.

Pros: For the price it was convenient however if you arrive late there was no one there and a little scary for us when people also arrive on big groups and no one respects personal space when doing the self check in.

Cons: The room door lock was broken so we knew anyone could open our door at night and no one to complain to so I had to barricade our door.
Room was falling apart, needs a little maintenance.

Staffs were nice, cleanliness were nice. Staff Syncthia , other receptionist and last at Breakfast Restaurant all were good. However, there could a Hotel shuttle service to Vergiate Rail station back and forth as there is no public transport or even walkway for pedestrians at Vergiate.

The front desk staff were so lovely. Gave us info on where to go and what to see. They could not have been nicer.

Now, I only say this because I know how difficult it is to figure out where to stay but…the smell. Masked by some sort of cologne in the lobby, it became evident as you climbed the stairs. My sister said her room smelled like a dentist’s office but I was getting goat. It was really really strong. The heat in the hallways was abnormally high. I would choose somewhere else at least for the next while.

Booked a room with AC, mini fridge with complimentary water and none was provided. When addressed they said maybe it’ll get fixed. When I asked to speak to a manager, was told it’s a low budget hotel and there’s no need for one on site. They somewhat fixed the air problem on the 2nd night (and I emphasize somewhat). The rooms and hallway smelled of burnt rubber. The beds were super uncomfortable.

This hotel was not as expected based on their advertisements/photos. The hotel is older with only certain areas remodeled. The breakfast area and main lobby are nice. The outdoor areas are peaceful and there is plenty of parking available on property. However, the Air Conditioning was broken in the entire hotel for the full duration of our stay. The staff seemed in no hurry to have the AC repaired, despite the 80° temperatures. The staff recommended opening a window and that Australian and American guests were typically the only ones to complain about air conditioning, an advertised amenity at this property. The bathroom felt outdated and only somewhat clean. Overall we were disappointed in this property.

I found some live bedbugs in the room. The room smelt like someone has smoked in it. The manager did not have any other room available and did not offer any relocation solution, we had to leave in the middle of the night with nowhere to go, we did not sleep in the hotel. I had to decontaminate all my belongings before going home , in a freezer, to eliminate all bedbugs, which costed 200 CHF. Worst hotel experience of my life.

Used the hotel for an overnight stop and was very pleased with it.
Hotel was clean, room was very big and bed comfortable. Breakfast was good value at 5 euro. There isn't much around the hotel if you are looking for dining options but Sesto Calende with its many restaurants is only a ten minute drive away.

We had booked three rooms , problems with all rooms. We were only there for 4 nights but the problems were not resolved. No air conditioning in Two rooms and no tv connection, no mini fridge, one of the rooms the lights weren’t working properly and another room the windows didn’t open. In Italy it was really hot, so we needed air conditioning and windows to open. The staff were really nice though regardless of the issues.

Disappointing

This stay was very disappointing for me and my family due to the following points:
1. We opened our room door to find that the door knob immediately fell off- not very safe especially with two kids!!
2. The light in our bathroom was flickering- surely this is something you fix for your guests but maybe that’s just me!
3. The lighting in the room was very dark
4. Bed and headboard was very uncomfortable
5. In the middle of nowhere so you really need to drive if you want to stay here
6. Oh and if you ask about the airport shuttle that’s stated in the description as “available 24 hours” and “25 euros” it’s a lie!! We were told that it was not available even though we saw the minivan shuttle parked and did I mention that they said it would be 50 euros instead of the 25 stated in the description of the hotel.
7. So then we had to pay an external taxi driver (that the hotel staff recommended) 40 euros for a short drive to the airport. We felt scammed!!
We will not be returning to this hotel as we felt very misled and lied to. The only nice thing was the breakfast! We feel like being honest is key as this will help other guests choose their stay very wisely. If you have a car, it might be a better option for you.

If you advertise 24/7 airport shuttle then that’s what you should provide. We booked a stay here for a layover and had no way to call for the shuttle with the number going to answering service and no taxi would bring us because it’s actually quite far away and not “connected to the airport” like was advertised.

If you don’t have a car do not stay here. You will be trapped here. It’s off of a highway with nothing but the trees around. Very secluded, no restaurants or stores within walking distance.

Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Clean and comfortable room with complimentary bottled water. Can park in covered garage or some rooms have a back door to single parking space. Breakfast was adequate and the staff tried hard to keep it resupplied.

Hotel not in the best working order

The lobby is attractive and the staff is pleasant. Check in was easy. There is no dinner in the hotel, but there is a refrigerated vending machine in the lobby with pasta entrees to heat up in the microwave (which is in the breakfast area) - but the guy at the desk warned us not to buy the entrees because the microwave is broken. So we ordered pizza for delivery. Our room had a couple issues - the a/c didn't work and the refrigerator didn't work. We didn't get much sleep in the room with no a/c. We reported it in the morning, and the guy at the front desk came up twice to try and fix it, and was not able to get it working so he had us move to a different room. It is kind of a hassle to pack up all our stuff and move it, but at least the new room was nice and cool with working a/c. The refrigerator worked there too. The breakfast downstairs had plenty of variety - eggs, meat, cereal, fruit, rolls, croissants, yogurt. The \"meat\" on the breakfast buffet was sliced up hot dogs, and the warmer didn't work very well so the eggs and meat were just kind of lukewarm. The coffee machine worked the first morning but wasn't working the second morning. So overall breakfast was just OK. We got the shuttle service to the airport and it was 25 euro. It takes about 20-25 minutes to get to Terminal 1 from the hotel.

This hotel is fake. It says it’s close to the airport but it’s very far. I paid 35 euros for a taxi to take me to the hotel from the airport. The name isn’t even its actual name, it’s real name is El Selva. Their isn’t supermarkets or restaurants near the hotel. The refrigerator was broken and wasn’t going to get fixed til Monday. Their wasn’t a coffee maker inside the room. I do not recommend this hotel. One of the worst days on my trip.

This property was awesome you will get to experience Italy from the county side perspective but with a short ride to Milan or in my case I drove to Switzerland twice to shop at Foxtown in 40 min or so and also the airport was like 10 to 15 min away

The hotel was very clean very nice floors and decorated nice it’s nothing around the hotel but trees very nice parking garage super clean overall nice if your planning to book please let my review serve as a go ahead if this is your first time in Europe it could be some adjusting but by euro standards this is awesome I will def go back the staff was very nice they made coffee for us any time we asked plus if you like just around the corner in town there is a few cafe and grocery stores also a health food type store as well just over fabulous area hope my review helped you I travel to Europe alot and this was top notch property very authentic Italian style hotel modern meets classic look enjoy !

It is is an convenient location near airport. Quite area overlooking local forest/ woodlands. Close to lakes and cosy cafes. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Next time we will book there from flying into Malpensa. The breakfast was good, satisfying even my fussy daughter. Our room had a full size bath perfect for helping to get over jet lag.

Friendly efficient check-in. The room was pleasant and the shower was good and hot. Unfortunately the whole experience was let down by breakfast. The place didn't look too clean and the cutlery certainly wasn't, the scrambled eggs looked as though they had been made up from powder but had some strange little brown bits. The kiwi fruit I had was tasteless and the rest of the offering was poor. To add to this the cleaner was resetting tables and dragging them and chairs across the tiled floor, and bit like having breakfast accompanied by a pneumatic drill. It was almost as though reception and breakfast were two different places.

Good breakfast with a super range of foods. Would have been nice if there was a toaster but hey there probably isn't room. Good Wi-Fi connection. Easy parking right next to the door.

Convenient if you're flying in/out of Malpensa

We stayed at La Selva for one night before flying out of Malpensa airport the next day, we checked in around 10:30pm was smooth and easy, my partner was leaving before 6am so we asked for a hotel transfer but this wasn't available as the guy was sick so he had to take a taxi for double the cost. The hotel was comfortable a convenient place to stay before flying out with free parking. Breakfast is included and was fine, a few hot options and everything else you'd find on a continental spread.

Stayed before with no problem but unfortunately this time they let us down. Although they advertise a restaurant it was fully booked for a conference. The management knew about this several months ago but didn't advise us. As the hotel is very remote we had to book a taxi to get us to a restaurant at considerable expence. Not impressed at all. The conference group were also very noisy later on. Be warned

Hotel with strange decoration

The motel is conveniently located for Milan Malpensa airport. Free covered parking, free wifi. The decoration of the room I stayed in is just a bit too strange for my personal taste - mirrored ceiling over the bed, the shower is separated from the room with a glass partition (so you can have a full view of your partner taking a shower while lying on the bed). Thank God the toilet is not as transparent. The TV is hanging about 3 metre high from the floor, so they expect you to watch tv in bed only.

The hotel was great. The room was everything I needed. The shuttle/taxi that the hotel provided, made my working days a pleasure. They supporting my timings to the train and back. They even helped me when I took the wrong train late at night and then even kept some food for me as I had not eaten that evening after such a stressful time.
The hotel was comfortable, breakfast plenty and I had everything I needed.

Convenient hotel with great service

Hotel staff were very helpful & friendly, arrived late on first night and even though the restaurant was closed they still put a cold Buffett together for us. Good breakfast served each morning with plenty of choice. Rooms were kept very well & are a credit to the staff. Also parking outside door of first floor rooms which is nice to have plenty of parking available in nice grounds.

1-No housekeeping after midday and since front disk will not provide you with any room service. For example, additional bedding or baby crib or not working lights he said sorry no housekeepers and I don't know where are there.
2- unprofessional customer service front desk.
3-front desk did not answe my calls from room and have to go down.
4-suits are small only suitable for two. Not comfortable for family.
5-couple lights were not working.
6-if you reserve for 3 adults call them in advance and make sure the room is prepared to fit

One transition night before returning home

Great shuttle service which is included in cost of overnight stay. Room clean, bathroom very modern and clean. Dinner meal was acceptable but nothing to write home about which was a disappointment after a six week stay in Italy where food everywhere was awesome. Difficult to make shuttle reservation at first because Expedia had the wrong (incomplete) telephone number on its online listing. Kudos to desk clerks and shuttle driver; the waitress was cheerful and pleasant. I'd stay there again!

This is a modern hotel set in woodland adjacent to a main road. Close to Malpensa airport (15 k or 10 miles). Really friendly helpful staff. Road in involves passing the hotel and up a dual carriageway and doing a 'u' turn but we'll worth the detour. There is the slight sound of aircraft leaving Malpensa but more like mild thunder than a plane! The rooms are spacious with some designer features but functional and quiet aircon. Excellent breakfast including smoked bacon and scrambled egg!! Overall an excellent stopover hotel.

It may be standard for Italy, but the bed was the least comfortable I've experienced in a while. I woke up stiff and aching all over. The bed looked comforable but in this case appearances are deceiving. The room was cleaned every day, and over had a pleasing look. The staff was helpful and made us feel welcomed. Travel was a bit difficult at first as you have to navigate by names of towns instead of road numbers. I was lost the first night and after a few calls to the motel and 3 hours at 3AM in the morning; I lucked up on the right road. The staff provided a hand drawn road layout the second night to help with the directions and I had no more problems getting back to the motel after that.Google maps didn't show enough detail.

Used this hotel as a one night stop-over while driving around the Italian Lakes. The hotel was very modern, clean, well equipped and the staff were friendly. The hotel is out on it's own so have to drive to reach attractions

Good 4 star touring base near to Lakes

Very modern , smartly designed, limited noise from road+planes. Breakfast good . Ideal for touring base in the lakes. Car essential. Good parking. Access to Hotel limited by being on dual carriageway.

Four star hotel and .....army of ants crossing the bathroom...?!!! Shuold you remove the hotel from your list. This is very first time I've faced up with so dreadful hotel
