The room was clean and well appointed with a fridge, kettle, coffee, tea, water - all the good stuff. I learned on this trip that not all hotels are that standard. What I didn't like was having to telephone the hotel to get the shuttle. Text or messaging would have been a free option, rather than a call.

The shower did not work well. I could not turn the knob to turn on the shower head. I had to rinse with a cup. Very uncomfortable definitely not what I paid for. They told me at the front desk I should’ve let them know to change rooms but the thing is I had 30 min in total to get ready and leave.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had an early flight and chose this hotel to stay close to the airport so we wouldn’t have to wake up too early. The bar and restaurant were excellent, the room was comfortable, and the airport shuttle was convenient and right on time. We would definitely recommend this hotel 100%.

Bog standard airport hotel. No sign of the promised shuttle bus and the hotel didn’t answer the phone when I rang and held for ten minutes for assistance.
A noisy group getting drunk at the bar. Not the hotels fault of course. Kind staff at breakfast which was better than expected.

We found a half eaten sausage in our room fridge and the safe didn't work. They fixed the safe after two attempts, just in time for our departure.
Staff were generally very pleasant, but check in seemed rather slow. Breakfast was satisfactory.

Everything was great -check-in, check-out, shuttle service, room. The only thing I wish was different was the dining options. The menus were a bit confusing. The bar menu showed pizza available, but when I went to eat, they said, no, only during lunch, but they had some chicken and rice dinner. If I'm eating in a bar, I don't want a \"sit-down\" meal. The restaurant for dinner was also more than I waited to eat and spend, so I ate a granola bar in my room and went to bed :(

We arrived at the hotel after a flight at 11:00 PM. We waited outside the terminal in the cold for about 30 minutes until the shuttle arrived to pick us up and other guests.

The check-in process went smoothly, but we arrived very hungry after long hours of travel and asked for food. As this is a 4-star hotel, this should not have been an issue. We were told that food could be ordered from the bar, which was supposed to be open late. Unfortunately, the bartender had already gone home, so ordering food was not possible.

The staff agreed to bring us soup from the kitchen and charged us €52 for four small bowls of soup. This was not filling at all, so we asked for another round, which cost another €52. The pricing was completely excessive and felt exploitative, especially since the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere with no alternatives nearby.

We also asked for an extra blanket for the children and were given an uncomfortable wool blanket instead of a duvet. When we complained, we were told that at such hours there is no room service.

The room itself was functional and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The front desk staff were polite and helpful but were unable to escalate the issue to a manager.

My recommendation is not to choose this hotel if you are arriving late at night, as the level of service is only average in those hours. Food outside of breakfast is priced like a luxury restaurant, with no justification—simply taking advantage of the lack of alterna

45 minute wait for the airport shuttle at T1 waiting in the cold. On arrival very slow check in, not sure what operating system the employees use but it takes an unnecessary length on time to check guests in. Mediocre food in the restaurant, my chicken Thai curry tasted as though it was a microwaved ready meal. Dated room and bathroom.

The hotel was clean but we had a horrible stay. The A/C in our two rooms was running but not cool. When I called downstairs they said they would send maintenance. After waiting until 11:30 at night I told them to forget it. They said \"Oh we can adjust it here at the front desk\". It never cooled down so we all had a horrible night sleeping. They also had a sign posted at the front desk to not open the windows because of awful looking bugs in the area. Never again.

Nice appointments to the room and slept very soundly due to the super quiet surroundings. Room is clean. Breakfast is fantastic and I appreciated the free shuttle to the airport. The driver was very helpful in providing airport information and everyone at the front desk was English speaking and very helpful.

I found large flying bugs in my bed shortly after checking in. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable. When we tried calling the front desk, no one answered, and no one reached out to address it afterward. We weren’t offered anything to fix the situation or even an apology. I would not stay here again.

Not the standard you’d expect from a crown plaza

The hotel is tired and dated and not worth the £150 we paid for a single night. The shower in our premium room was broken. My wife fell when she got out the cold shower and hit her head on the floor.. the ice machine had failed, we had to get a room master key as the door key wouldn’t work, for a crown plaza this was disappointing. Breakfast choice was good but food quality lacked… overall I think the holiday inn express which was cheaper may have been a better option. Staff were friendly, but that was the most positive thing. I won’t use this hotel again and may avoid crown plaza in the future.

Dear IHG Team,

I wanted to share a few thoughts about my recent stay at the Crowne Plaza Malpensa Airport. Overall, it was an average experience, but a few things fell short of what I usually expect from an IHG property.
The hotel itself feels quite dated and could use some refurbishment. My room was spacious, but the bathroom really needs attention — it looked old and not as clean as it should be, especially the shower area, which had visible dirt in the corners. The shower cabin also felt quite small.
I was surprised to find that basic items like slippers and toiletries weren’t in the room and had to be requested from reception. That’s not typical for a Crowne Plaza, in my experience.
Noise was also an issue. Despite being described as soundproof, my room faced the runway and a nearby helicopter area, so it was quite loud. Unfortunately, I couldn’t change rooms as the hotel was full.
On a positive note, the restaurant was excellent — great food, a calm atmosphere, and very polite staff. Breakfast was also a pleasant experience.
I really appreciate the efforts of the team, but I think with some updates and better room maintenance, the hotel could easily meet the usual Crowne Plaza standards again.

Key cards malfunctioned constantly, Ac did not work. The ice machine on our floor did not work. Needs a little TLC.
The check in and shuttle arrangements are misleading in the Expedia listing and that caused us some expenses. A little expensive.

Quite a reasonable and affordable option at Milan Malpensa. Shuttle information at hotel website seems to suggest calling the hotel, but the shuttle is on a regular route and timetable about every 30 minutes. As in many airport hotels, there is a bit of corridor noise.

Worst location I have ever stayed. The airport shuttle drops you off at a corner of a main road and you need to walk a long distance with your luggage through back roads. Luckily it was during the day otherwise I would not have felt safe at all. Hotel was dirty and things were broken like the door and shower. Thank goodness it was only one night
