The hotel was great. The grounds were amazing and it looked like a fairytale castle. Unfortunately, there was a heat wave at the time we stayed and the air conditioner in the room could not keep up however, not much that can be done about that. The hotel was clean and met all our expectations, it is an older building but still well kept. It is about a mile from the airport so it was great for staying there the night before we left the country. The onsite restaurant was accommodating but the food was just ok, nothing that wowed us. There is not much around the area open late so the restaurant did the job of feeding us. There was a pool but we did not go to it however, everything else was fine. Would recommend.

We had a great stay. My only caveat is that their shuttle to the airport three minutes away was unavailable for an hour and a half the morning of our departure (although they advertise it running every 30 minutes), so they ordered us a taxi. When it delivered us to the airport, the driver told us they only accepted cash. This was a classy taxi service, too—and costly. What taxi only takes cash? We didn’t have enough to cover the fare. I wish the hotel had warned us.

The hotel its self is beautiful. Staff is super helpful and generous. The rooms are clean and well taken care of. Where the hotel falls short is the way they manage the air conditioner. It is only utilized during certain hours of the day. I found out that this is the practice of many hotels in Europe. So be diligent in your research for places to stay.

it was very beautiful to stay there. We only had two nights because of a flight we had to get out of, but we didn’t want anything that looked like a regular airport hotel. The pool area was gorgeous. It’s set back off of the back and very quiet the bar and snack food doesn’t open till I think after four and that’s near the inside of the lobby that was a little disappointed because we wanted something before but the service in there was awesome. The breakfast is a good breakfast for European yogurt, cereal, snack, snacks, breads, eggs, and fruit. The rooms were clean and cold and came with a pay mini bar. We ate in the dinner restaurant and that was good as well. The crème brûlée was very nice and so is the service. I highly recommend the place.

This place has a pool and a really nice restaurant - and wow what a setting. Way beyond the usual concrete box experience.

Great last day in Italy before flying out. Right near MXP. Lounged by the pool all day, had dinner at their restaurant and ended at the cocktail bar onsite before our flight the next morning. They also have shuttle services to and from airport. Absolutely 100000/10

The hotel is absolutely great. Driving up to it is very impressive and the inside is nice as well. The check in staff was very helpful too. We had drinks and ate at the bar for a light dinner and we were all very happy with our food, even our 3 kids. The breakfast buffet was great too. Our kids can't believe the size of Nutella jars in Europe! Our room was very large and the bathroom was great. This hotel definitely has high standards for cleanliness for their rooms and public spaces. We were very happy with it and would definitely stay there again if we happen to be in Milan again.

The hotel was exactly what is needed for a pre-flight overnight from Malpensa. It truly is only a few minutes from terminal one, and their shuttle service was very efficient and fast. We dropped off our rental car the evening before our morning flight and they were at the curb to take us back to the hotel within minutes. The rooms are high ceilinged and spacious, with functional amenities. The dining room stays open till 10 PM but you do need reservations and it does get full. The staff was unenthusiastic and the food is mediocre, but far better than the usual airport options. It would help the atmosphere if they changed out the very harsh, overly bright wall lighting, as it is structurally a nice, classic space.

Elegant old-world charm with a sense of character that is increasingly hard to find in this price range. The staff was warm, attentive, and dedicated to making every part of our stay easy and comfortable.

The restaurant was excellent, with imaginative food and wonderful service, and breakfast was full of fresh Italian baked goods.

A true oasis from the typical airport hotel experience — convenient, charming, and genuinely welcoming, just minutes from the airport.

I rarely submit feedback even though I'm opinionated.

this place \"\"grew\" on us after we \"settled in\" and decided NOT to move to Airport Sheraton.
I'd put it in the \"not-so-bad and worth the low low price\" category.

Gorgeous exterior fitting a VILLA, close to airport and nice shuttle.

Have stayed in world class resorts (Like Adare Manor in Shannon) but happy to use budget hotels like Holiday inn express however I am critical about unforced errors and this nice property has a few.

initially \"put off\" at check-in because what could easily be a beautiful lobby is awkwardly chopped up and is \"decorated\" in a frightfully tacky way.
I snooped inside a closed door and found
huge spectacular ballroom 20 feet from center entrance which should be proudly displayed!
Bar not open til 4:00- good thing check in is 12:00 with cold drinks in mini bar.
Poorly lit Dining room had bad vibe but 100% occupancy which appeared satisfied. Dinner mediocre -Why were windows covered with ugly sheer poly curtains when view of trees outside is gorgeous?

Pool was, at first glance, a blue hole in the parking lot surrounded by hedgerow. Then people started coming and having a nice time.

Room tiny, bed decor sketchy, fake wood floor, bathroom comp to an RV. But the shower water pressure was fantastic and we slept fine after two cocktails and a bottle of wine.

Traveling is all about adjusting expectations and being able to deal with some flaws and make the best of it.

This is an imposing looking hotel with nice surroundings & good parking facilities considering it is near the airport.
However, inside it is rather tired.
Our room was adequate but the tea & coffee making facility was awful; paper cups.... in a 4 star hotel.......seriously! plus no spoon, just a wooden stick.....again poor for a 4 star hotel.
We had to ask for milk from reception & the tea bag selection was green ,chamomile or mint,no ordinary tea bags provided.
The shower was little more than a dribble; all it probably needs is the shower head replacing.
The buffet breakfast area is very small meaning everyone is on top of each other trying to help themselves which is crazy considering the actual dining room is large.
The coffee was good & hot.
Overall rather disappointing.

Nice enough historic hotel with very tiny rooms. The bar does not open until 4 pm, and the restaurant opens at 7 pm. They only provide an all-in-one liquid for hair and body as a toiletry. No free snacks or water are given for the room, just a bunch of overpriced snacks and drinks that you would be charged for. Not much to do on-site. We walked down to the Tiger resort for a few beers and dinner, and would stay there if we were ever back in this region.

An amazing and unique, meticulously restored property. From the prompt and efficient airport shuttle pick up to the warm greeting at check in, the classic attention to detail in our spacious suite, a relaxing drink in the bar followed by a beautiful dinner in the restaurant, my wife and I had a first class experience in what we thought may have been just a regular one night stopover at an airport hotel en route to our next destination. We returned 3 nights later for our last night in Italy, before our return flight to Australia and were equally impressed. Thank you and congratulations to the team at Hotel Villa Malpensa.

From the front desk staff to maid service to the shuttle van driver, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was great to have a shuttle van as our flight was early in the morning. Breakfast was pleasing and had a good selection. I enjoyed the coffee machine which was able to make espressos, cappuccinos, Americano’s or Doppio’s. My wife liked the tea selection as well.. The hotel is only 1 1/2 miles from the airport and they drop you off right at your departure airline. Thanks to all at for a wonderful time at Hotel Villa Malpensa.

Shuttle driver drove angry, and not like in the good way that gets you to you gate on time but more like the type that results in a broken luggage wheel.

Room had like zero ventilation.

Oh, and for future guests, the water in the mini-fridge is free, but they don’t tell you this anywhere. You are supposed to just know that it is not on the price list that is proudly displayed. So tap water it was.

The outside is pretty.

Fantastic hotel. We only stayed the one night before flying out the following morning. We had a huge room with a gorgeous balcony which was lovely to chill at with a glass of wine and the bed was super comfy. It’s only 5 mins from the airport yet peacefully quiet. They have a very efficient transfer system which only costs 3.50 Euros pp - much better than the flat minimum 20 Euro fee charged by the taxis at the airport. We ate at the restaurant onsite and it was really good and very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again next time we fly to Milan.

I had a very frustrating experience staying here. While the property itself is beautiful and conveniently located near the airport, the service across multiple touchpoints felt dismissive and, at times, outright rude.

At the end of my stay, I was called just two minutes before my shuttle departure and it left without me, which was extremely stressful and poorly handled.

There were also unexpected additional fees buried in the fine print that were never clearly explained at check-in. When I raised this, the concierge was passive-aggressive and insisted this lack of transparency was “industry standard,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional.

Dining was similarly disappointing—the restaurant staff made it seem like they were doing me a favour by taking my order, and overall I felt unwelcome.

The pool is nice, but the Wi-Fi was poor, and the service issues ultimately outweighed the positives.

I would not stay here again.

J’ai beaucoup aimé mon séjour! L’hôtel est vraiment magnifique et les chambres sont très confortables. Le transfert vers l’aéroport s’est déroulé parfaitement, ce qui est un vrai plus.

Seul petit bémol : certains espaces, comme le bar et le restaurant, sont un peu plus démodés. Cela dit, l’endroit demeure unique et vraiment exceptionnel, surtout compte tenu de sa proximité avec l’aéroport.

C’est une excellente option pour prolonger son voyage en Italie jusqu’à la toute dernière minute. J’y retournerais sans hésitation.

If you are not quite ready to let go of Italy before flying out of Malpensa, this charming and ornate villa is just a 5 minute shuttle away. Our room ended up being a spacious and comfortable suite with private balcony and a view of cows and pastures. You could barely hear the airport. Amenities were excellent and bathroom fully upgraded. A very good restaurant and good buffet breakfast. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Overall a real gem.

Stayed here to be close to the Malpensa airport for an early flight and it was fantastic. Check-in was easy, the staff was friendly, and the room was clean. The hotel itself is beautiful and the grounds are fun to explore. They also have a bar and restaurant, which was great because there are not a lot of other food options nearby. Overall wonderful stay, will book again in the future if flying out of Malpensa.

We've stayed here several times coming in & out of Milan MXP, & always feelat home. Friendly, efficient staff, , importantly- easy quick shuttle to/from airport. Have stayed in various room grades & they've always been good. Comfortable beds (a bit firm for me, but anyway) & enough pillows, excellent shower & bathroom. Very good breakfast varied savoury, sweet & in between. Have also eaten evening meal here : excellent. No hesitation in recommending Villa Malpensa.

I was only there one night, but I loved it. It’s beautifully decorated. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I wandered the grounds to see the chapel and architecture. My room was lovely and comfortable. The shuttle to the airport was an easy ride.

The restaurant was comfortable with attentive staff and excellent food.

I’d love to go back sometime and stay there to explore the area a bit more.

Every time I need to catch a flight from Malpensa, this is the place I choose to stay and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling through the area.

The hotel is spotless, picturesque, and incredibly comfortable. Staying here truly feels like traveling back in time, with its unique charm and atmosphere that make every visit special.

I’m already a repeat guest, and each stay confirms that I’ve made the right choice. From every point of view, this is a great hotel, welcoming, relaxing, and full of character.

The beds were very hard, the shower was very small, and when I ordered tiramisu at dinner it was not brought out for 30+ minutes, but the people behind us got theirs in minutes, 30 minutes after we ordered ours. It was cold and premade.
