The room was updated and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with many options and beautiful views, which made mornings especially enjoyable. The only downside was that breakfast ended at 10am, which felt a bit early for a vacation spot. Wi-Fi worked well, but the TV only offered cable (no Netflix option). The property is about a 15-minute walk from the train station.
The town itself is absolutely adorable and surprisingly lively considering we traveled in the off season. Since we visited in winter, we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool or the beach, but we can imagine it would be lovely in warmer months.

We loved our stay at Hotel Mary! We went for our honeymoon and stayed for 3 nights and we had a great time. We had a seaside view from our room and it was absolutely magical. The staff was very friendly, and a special shoutout to the staff working during breakfast hours as we were greeted and waited on immediately. There was a wide variety of food during breakfast from eggs, bacon, ham to several breads and desserts like croissants, fruit tarts, marítozzo and much more. The beds were comfortable and were a good mix between soft and firm. The hotel is a short 8-10 minute walk to the little shops in Vico Equense, all while passing a nice park with ocean views. Overall, we really loved our stay and would definitely come back!

When I asked the bartender at the pool bar to turn the volume on the 'boom-boom' music down a bit (there were only 6 people on the deck and one was <6 months old), she told me to go sit at the other end of the pool.
I was told repeatedly that they didn't care if I was an Expedia Gold Member, they do not offer upgrades. This became an issue because I had booked a Superior Room (215sqft) and the room that we got (135sqft) - behind the elevator - would have been stretched to be a decent single. The hotel was full, so we were stuck.The next morning they agreed to move us to a larger room (160 sqft). They could have made a guest happy by upgrading us to one of the empty Executive Rooms - as I requested - in compensation for the previous night. But they refused. Instead, they cut their losses by giving us a slightly better, albeit unsatisfactory, room and let the 4 Executive Rooms go empty.
There is almost no discernible decor: the bottom is blue and the top is white; no artwork, flowers, sculptures, POI's.
They offer an area shuttle, but wanted 10€ for 500m. Should be a service, not a grab.
Negatives: The most eco UNfriendly hotel I've been to in a long time. Everything is plastic, wrapped in plastic, single use amenities, etc.

Difficult to fault the property and the staff. Rooms could do with a bit of update in having tvs that are either wifi or castable to, and few bits to touch up in bathroom etc. But over all you cant go wrong with this place at all., had a lovely stay.

We loved the breakfast buffet, and the restaurant servers were outstanding! The sunset views were absolutely gorgeous, and the drinks arrived quickly. While the beach club didn’t have direct sandy beach access, the floating dock and its restaurant offered generous, delicious portions. Dinner options were on the pricey side and not quite as delicious, and the wine was outrageously priced. Overall, we still had a fantastic stay! :)

The impeccable facility and staff are only out shined by the incredible views of from anywhere in the property. Stellar service from all of the valet, concierge, bar staff, spa team, and especially management throughout our stay. Rooms are stylish and spotless. Breakfast buffet was impressive, as well as room and dinner service. Conveniently located just north or Sorrento so you can miss the worst of the traffic heading south from Napoli. Plenty of options nearby, walking into town to explore, taking boat tour(recommend to Capri) or driving to the Path of the God's, Mt. Vesuvius, or around the coast to Sorrento. It was a perfect ending to a 40 day holiday through Italy!

Our stay was amazing! The hotel is beautiful and updated with good size rooms (family room for 2 adults, 2 kids). Accommodations very comfortable! Staff were excellent! I have to mention and recognize Vincenzo, the restaurant manager, who was so nice, accommodating and professional...he truly made us feel welcome and appreciated us for visiting! Also, Davide from the front desk/concierge was excellent in his recommendations, from arranging the Capri boat tour, transportation and for other local recommendations! Pool was great and Sea Club nice, both with wonderful views (although swimming at the Sea Club was in open waters near rocks so not overly kid friendly, but kids loved the pool). Located within walking distance of a small, quaint town and a 15-20 minute local train ride into Sorrento. Overall, a great place to stay and would happily return and recommend to others!!

This hotel is a hidden gem on the coast. We had booked this hotel after staying three days and beautiful Positano to stay in after our trip to Pompeii. It exceeded our expectations. The infinity pool was incredible and it is even more beautiful than the photos depict. The food was delicious. We had cocktails in the bar, which were perfection and we highly recommend eating at the hotel restaurant where the food was out of this world. The staff, including Vincenzo were so helpful and made the experience five stars. There was also free valet parking, which made it be very easy with a car.

Absolutely phenomenal hotel all around. Rooms were clean, well kept, modern but charming. The balcony was lovely for the view and sunset. The pool deck was incredible and the view stunning. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. We had an outstanding meal at the restaurant there. I will never forget it. The hotel is about a ten minute walk into the square. There are some great shops and restaurants around. The train station is about a 15 minute walk and that can take you into Sorrento. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel. It was perfection.

Property is on a steep road, but expected at the Amalfi Coast. Free valet parking. Walking into Vico Equense can be a bit of a challenge for older visitors. All eateries in town in 20 minutes or less walking distance., so is the trainstation.
The pool, wellness center and property is exceptional and well maintained. Beach can be reached by hotel shuttle or walking (would not recommend, lots and lots of steps)

Such a wonderful hotel that I would highly recommend. Vico Equense is the perfect town to base yourself in and to enjoy a mix of day trips and pool days.

Absolutely amazing from beginning to end. The customer service is phenomenal and the bartender/server Raffaele went above and beyond for us. I couldn’t give this hotel enough praise.
Side note: if you want to go to Sorrento or Positano and don’t want to deal with the train & ferry, and don’t want to waste time on a bus, or don’t want to pay an outrageous cost for personal driver - rent a scooter. You can bypass all the cars and be able to take the backroads of southern Italy with the best views of your life. Just make sure to take pictures of your scooter first in case the rental spot tries to make you pay for a scratch you didn’t do.
Again - the hotel is amazing and the customer service is 5 star. We will be back some day!

This is a great place to stay to tour the area. Breakfast service is great. Our major complaint was the noise. We stayed on the 2nd floor (executive room sea view) during restaurant hours there was a lot of noise from above, and during the evening you could hear a lot of noise from other rooms and in the hallway

Super great place. Only thing that marred the trip was the vinyl couch/ daybed. It was off gasing as PVC will. Some like a “new car smell” but I hate inhaling PVC. Asked if a room without a vinyl couch was available. Was told not. BUT they accommodated us with sheets to cover it which controlled the smell. Otherwise totally great AND HUGE TUB.
