The overall experience was okay, but nothing exceptional. The room felt outdated — closer to a 2.5–3 star standard. The furniture was old and made with rather low-quality materials, and the space hasn’t been renovated in quite some time.

The shower had poor water pressure and the temperature wasn’t warm enough. There were no complimentary toiletries aside from a wall-mounted “body gel,” which felt quite basic. No coffee machine either — just a kettle with tea and instant coffee.

The TV was positioned awkwardly, making it uncomfortable to watch from the bed, and the room was dimly lit with very limited natural light (only a half-window, in decline).

Overall, it was a functional stay, but not a memorable one. Wouldn’t choose it again unless improvements are made.

Fantastic location but not enough

Excellent location and nice facade. Yet, it's not a four stars hotel. I was given a room in the third floor, without elevator!!! I was notified about that in advance, and the staff helped me with the luggage, but it was hard to climb up two floors at least three times a day. There was no water in the room, no slippers, etc.

I recently stayed at the Mabre Residence Hotel in Vilnius for two nights, and my experience was very disappointing. Despite booking a room with two beds over a month in advance, we arrived to find a queen-size bed and a small camping bed. My 15-year-old son, who is 6’1”, had to sleep on the floor as he could not share a bed with me.

Additionally, we were informed that breakfast cost 15 euros per person, but we were overcharged. When I asked for a receipt, the receptionist promised to send it via email, but I never received it, even after following up through Expedia.

While the room was clean, the overall service fell far below the expectations of a four-star hotel. The receptionist’s dismissive attitude and lack of support were particularly disappointing. Although the cleaner offered to clean the room after our first day, we declined as it wouldn't change the low comfort of our stay.

I hope management addresses these issues to improve their service for future guests.

Ok property but not what you associate with 4 stars. As a 3 star hotel it would have been fine. Tiny pool that you have to pay a minimum of 15 euro per person to use. Breakfast was also 15 euro per person (including kids) with a very limited selection and staff that have to be prompted to replace empty buffet platters. Parking is 20 euros per day. Everything has to be paid in advance. We loved Vilnius but would chose a different hotel next time.

The expectations were fairly high after seeing the nice photos of the premises, and the thought that 4 stars would still mean something.

However, after arrival the fancy facade was step my step falling into pieces.
It’s an old building that has been renovated, thou it still has squeaky floors, poor soundproofing, full floor carpets and potential moisture damage and mold issues.

The noisy air conditioner as well as the shower facilities in the room are just poorly designed, causing even bigger problems in future.

The bed was very soft and bouncy, not my personal favorite but some might like it. And the pillow was awful, sure the room had extra pillow in storage but it was exactly the same. Just a huge pillow, size of two normal ones and way too soft.

The location of the hotel is very convenient and the surroundings are quiet also.

Definitely not a 4 star experience, the facilities probably max 2 stars, however the service was impeccable!

This is a great place to stay if you have a very late arrival or a very early departure flight because they have a 24-hour reception desk. Staff is very helpful if you need a 3 am ride to the airport. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! Traveling as 2 friends, we were abl to get a room with 2 twin beds. Bathroom had a bathtub, which feels like a divine indulgence to me as someone from drought-prone California. Hotel is steps away from Vilnius park and a 5-minute walk to the tourist information office/heart of old town. Maybe 8 minute walk to Cathedral Square. There is a Europecar meet and greet rental hub about a 1-mile walk away if you need a car, but don't need it right when you land at the airport. There are also CityBee cars close by if you just need a car for a day trip. Mabre Hotel is on a high traffic street, but it calmed by 11pm and the windows dramatically dampened the sound if i closed them. I am very noise sensitive, and I had no trouble sleeping from traffic. --though earplugs were helpful for the in-room mini fridge (which i made very good use of bc I'm too frugal to pay for breafast). Aesthetics of the room were meh, but the bedroom and bathroom were surprisingly spacious for the price. So if you are a function over form person, this is a very practical choice. :)

When I booked this hotel it said it had a pool and a sauna and that the sauna only would be against a fee. I do not use a sauna so it was good for me. But the hotel reception told me that there is also payment for the pool. I would have chosen another hotel had the terms been clear. The breakfast was good and the staff at the restaurant particularly attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean and very well kept.

The Mabre Residence Hotel is a unique property. It is a former monastery that once belonged to the neighbouring Russian Orthodox Church. It is well located, being just steps from some of the old town Vilnius highlights, such as the Church of St. Anne and the Bernardine Church complex, and just a few minutes away from Pilies Street, the primary pedestrian street in the old town.

The rooms are a nice size and are comfortable.

The only drawback I can think of is that the building does not have an elevator, but staff will gladly help with bringing luggage to your room.

We enjoyed our stay at this conveniently-located hotel. The staff were friendly and the rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. Our older relatives had some trouble getting in and out of the bathtub - it was a very high step - so if mobility is an issue, request a walk-in shower room instead. Also, there's no elevator, although the staff were more than happy to carry bags up and down. Overall a good stay.

We stayed one night (Monday) with our 14 year old and 11 year old. Room had character with a nice attic room with beams, boys on sofa beds in the separate living space which worked well. Easy to walk from train station and then around old town and happily kept our luggage until check in time. We didn’t use much in way of facilities, just the room, which had everything we needed for one night stay.

Not 4 Star Hotel.

On Hotels.com the hotel states it has a swimming pool and sauna,
However, both activities are priced as a supplement of €15.00 and a €5.00 for slippers.
The customer is not made aware of this until after payment is made.
The Breakfast Buffet is just about adequate, although the staff was slow on re -filling the hot options.
On the 2nd day the room cleaners did not arrive to clean the room until after 3pm, by which time we had been out for the day and had returned to the room, consequently the room was not cleaned or fresh towels given.
Overall I did not think that the Hotel should have 4 stars.

The Mabre Residence is an excellent place to stay. My only regret I have is not having stayed longer, the beds are comfortable, the rooms have everything you need, the showers are powerful and hot, the windows had amazing views of the courtyard.
They're are some lovely eateries in the nearby area, especially small locations such as our much loved Beigelistai cafe, and the park just around corner provided views of my own first ever views of a Middle Spotted Woodpecker, among other incredible BirdLife around the hotel. The Hotel is a short stroll from the main Vilnius old town, an incredible historic city with amazing architecture and sculptures, beautiful food and beer, and the kindest of people.
I would, and likely will, stay again, and I cannot recommend the hotel and location enough.

The location of this hotel is excellent, with very easy access to the old town. Breakfast was a highlight — the food was good, and the breakfast staff were very friendly and accommodating.

However, the room had several issues. The bath wouldn’t hold water, and despite reporting it twice to reception, no one fixed it or offered a solution. The beds were extremely jumpy and felt cheap, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Room cleaning was also subpar. Additionally, parking costs €20 per day, which feels steep for what’s offered.

Overall, a mixed experience. The positives were overshadowed by the lack of maintenance and attention to basic comfort.

This is a beautiful old renovated building. There is no lift but staff always available to help carry luggage up the stairs. It is in an amazing location with a couple of lovely old churches right across the road and easy walking distance from anything in the old town and/or busses, if you wanted them. Breakfast had a fantastic selection of hot and cold items. It was the best value for money I have ever received in a hotel.

The staff were friendly and no-nonsense in a good way. The location is ace. Otherwise the room itself was pretty basic and felt dated though everything worked as it should. It wasn’t a problem for me who just needed a bed. The breakfast was limited and nothing too special, but again it was enough for my needs. Would recommend if you are after a simple, no frills accommodation in a convenient area.

From outside place looks amazing but the room was a little let down old broken furniture room is dark. Shower had no proper hot water pressure took me a while to have a shower. And the smell in bathroom was bad not sure where from I assume it was pipe smell. Staff downstairs was very friendly.

Also: the staff made no offer of facilities, including the restaurant or pool & spa; they offered nothing. No curtains on windows in room either. Nice location, but a rather odd hotel experience.

The night we arrived, the front desk clerk was all nervous and admitted to be on the job for only two days and took forever to do the check in. They have no elevator so a fellow guest was kind enough to help.
The rooms were lovely (although you can hear everything from other rooms), super clean, excellent mattress and pillows. The location is great.
