Generally good after a very slow queue for check-in (20 minutes). Friendly and attentive staff (although not quite enough of them?). Food great and cocktail bar fine. One of the main lobby lifts kept malfunctioning- nobody on had to fix it? - so there were some long waits there too (minimum 5 minutes at some times).

Room was clean but not spotless. Felt like it needed updating. Very small space considering we booked the Superior Queen. The bathroom was also tiny, I’m only 5’4” but struggled in the shower to move. The bed was the softest mattress I’d ever slept on, caused me backache. Shops nearby are good, boots pharmacy and a Tesco express, alongside the theatre if you’ve booked a show. Parking nearby in Covent Garden so not far to walk to the hotel while carrying luggage. We requested extra towels and milk which were provided within minutes. All of the staff very polite and helpful with any questions.

Excellent location right in heart of Covent garden. Close to many theatres and 10 min walk to tube station to get around. Lots of restaurants and pubs close by. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Highly recommend this hotel for your London stay.

Excellent hotel on the whole, brilliant location and exceptional staff. Room was a good size though not the biggest we've ever stayed in, very clean and the bed was incredibly comfy.

As a downside I'd point out that the shower didn't drain very well at all, meaning I had to stop & start several times per shower. There was some noise in the corridor overnight.

Very busy hotel but to be expected given its location. Efficiently run. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast good. Evening meals in the hotel restaurant not so good. Expensive but poor quality food and a somewhat unusual menu. Overall a good experience, but disappointing food in the hotel restaurant.

It was one of many visits to the Strand and Covent Garden, and the hotel always is a great consistent standard. The staff are always helpful, the room excellent and the breakfast great. It was busy but there are other times people can go to breakfast than between 9am and 9:30am.

For a \"Zone 1\" hotel... my experience was horrible as a first time international guest. The standard queen room is so small and I was mortified to find a disgusting scene in the toilet meaning there are serious health, sanitation and hygiene issues here. Clearly the room was not cleaned properly and you can only assume everything in the bathroom was dirty. I felt physically ill and requested another room. This room also did not have a functioning US outlet meaning I would have to purchase a converter as they do not provide guests with any. So you pay out of pocket for their dysfunctions and inconveniencing you as a guest. They said they would send up a maintenance worker but one never came in the time I was still in there. What would they do? They told me they had no other rooms and were booked full. The towels had holes and yellowish and bluish stains! Disgusting. Once I reported the toilet waste issue they moved me to another room and for this inconvenience gave me a drink voucher...which most all hotels ive stayed at welcome you with anyway. Unbelievable. I was moved to another queen room- yes so they lied to me less than 30 minutes before. I asked to speak to a duty manager regarding these issues and one did speak with me directly over the phone and in person gifting me with edible amenities as an apology. They offered to take 30% off the total. That is not acceptable. Im waiting to hear back regarding a more acceptable resolution. Let's see what their guests are worth.

Beautiful hotel, unbeatable location, and truly wonderful staff.

The building itself is stunning — elegant architecture, beautifully maintained, and full of character. The location couldn’t be better: just steps from the Tube and a short stroll to Covent Garden Market, with endless food, shops, and people-watching opportunities right at your doorstep.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Yes, London rooms tend to be on the cozier side, but there was more than enough space to move around without performing suitcase gymnastics. Despite being on a busy street, we heard absolutely no outside noise — which felt like a small miracle in central London. We could occasionally hear the adjacent room through the (locked) adjoining door, but since we spent most of our days out exploring and crashed into bed happily exhausted at night, it was hardly an issue.

Breakfast was exceptional — a wide variety of options and a team that made mornings feel genuinely welcoming (not always easy before coffee!).

I was celebrating my birthday, and Jean Claude at reception went above and beyond to make it extra special with a thoughtful treat waiting in our room. That kind of personal touch makes all the difference.

We would absolutely stay here again when we return — which, after this trip, will hopefully be very soon.

The hotel is beautiful, though i was very dissapointed with our room, the bathroom facilities wer inadequate with a wc which failed to flush, the sink struggled to release water and the shower was pokey! All in all the room was clean, though it was very small and not as i have experienced previously at the hotel.

The doorman were very helpful, particularly to my mother who struggles with mobility. Nothing was too much trouble and i really appreciated their support.

Breakfast was like a cattle market - again not what id experienced previously. The food was ok but not the best.

All in all disappointed as this was a Christmas gift for my mum.

Total joke. Booked king superior. Room - no fridge / mini bar. Tiny TV. Not a smart TV. Bathroom tiny - very limited shelving. Good power shower, but tray not deep enough so water runs on to the floor. No response from reception when calling. Room is tiny and poorly decorated. No help at all at concierge. Check out quick. No assistance with luggage. For us this is at best a 3star hotel.

Solo traveler single superior cosy comfy spotless everything I needed. Top floor very quiet slept well. Excellent staff could not be more helpful. Some guests said breakfast wasnt good but I thought it was very tasty with plenty choice. I had fresh fruit then queued up for the hot stuff. Breakfast staff were on their game so didn't wait long whizz at clearing tables. Gin bar very relaxed comfy perfect service. Huge selection of drinks and a small menu of bar snacks. Pity about their tequila bar no longer there. Did not impact my stay too much! Overall excellent

The Strand Palace is in an excellent location within walking distance of the National Gallery, St.Paul's Cathedral, the West End theaters, etc. The room was lovely with all the amenities one could hope for, including a Keurig machine for early morning coffee. The staff was so friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast buffet had a wide array of both hot and cold dishes.

I was disappointed with the very small size of the “Classic room” and surprised at how sparsely furnished it was. There is bare any room to do anything other than sleep on the single bed. It is the smallest room I have ever been in having stayed at hundreds of hotels around the world. The bathroom was adequate and clean.
The staff is friendly, the service was good.
The cocktail lounge is very convenient for a quiet area to talk or work or just relax. But it is not open very long.

Delay at reception on Feb 21 while my booking for two different days was connected to the same room. Room not ready at 2.50 pm and when I went back to check (no-one let me know it was ready) I had to go through the same connection procedure again. At both my breakfasts my stuff was cleared away while I was getting some cooked food, including my jar with medication and a banana, so I had to ask for more coffee and my jar back. I am a frequent customer and usually have a great stay. Disappointed this time.

We booked a table at The Booking Office for 7pm. Ordered drinks and food. Main course didn’t arrive at our table until 8.30pm. Our waiter was attentive and apologetic. We were offered a free desert or drink to compensate. At no point did the manager come over and speak to us, which was a surprise.
We also found the club style music being played to be intrusive and loud and out of character with the venue
Our room was lovely but the nespspresso coffee wasn’t replaced for our second day. After two calls to housekeeping and a 35 minute wait, we got our coffee!

Centrally located and close to theatre land this is a convenient place to stay. Our superior double room was spacious with a massive bed with all the amenities you’d expect but room temperature was high which may disturb your sleep. The Strand view was a curse rather than a benefit due to the noise throughout the night. Pricing is on the high side but I guess that reflects the convenience rather than the luxury.

We had a lovely stay at The Strand Palace. The hotel is in a fabulous location very close to Covent Garden, the theatre district and many other attractions. The room was to a high standard. The bed was comfy. The amenities were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of variety.

But other than that, clean, comfortable bed, good shower. And I had a good, enjoyable stay. Helpful and accommodating staff.

Love the Strand Palace = 5 min walk to Covent Garden, 10 min to Leicester Square and right on the Strand. Strand Palace has been fully remodeled and quite nice. Check in was friendly and they found a room even though I arrived at noon. Rarely ever a wait on the lifts and also easy to walk down the stairs and I was on the 6th floor.

My only slight issue was the breakfast was a bit chaotic and room was quite sterile. I believe they are remodeling the prior breakfast room. I have stayed at the S.P. 7 or 8 times now and always had a good experience. Only other tiny consideration is commute from Heathrow - I arrived on Sun and departed Fri early so no traffic. If you arrive during commute time the time from South Ken to Cov Gdn adds 20 mins.
