Everyone is special at the Strand. Staff takes pride in their work! Although the rooms are small, it is still good value for the area. It’s in a fantastic area to walk the themes and visit Big Ben along with shopping on Oxford!

All I can say is that the staffs were really lovely and they made me feel welcome at the hotel. The food was really delicious that I would recommends Pan Roasted Sea Bass Fillet and Classic Fish and Chips as they were my favourite dinners.

We loved the location of this hotel, it was walking distance to theaters and many top restaurants. The staff were always helpful and friendly. However, it needs some serious maintenance work. The shower never drained right, the second day we had to turn off the water three times in the middle of showering to let the water drain so it wouldn’t run onto the floor. After they tried to fix it we only had to turn it off once during each shower. We had water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom on three mornings. The first time it happened it was clear from stains on the ceiling that it was a recurring problem. So not sure we would recommend this hotel for those reasons.

Absolutely wonderful stay in London made even better by the staff of The Strand Palace.
From our very dapper doorman Anthony at arrival and early check in with Saloni to the kindness of Mohammed our porter at departure, the hotel did not disappoint. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The food and service at Haxell’s breakfast buffet and dinner were excellent. The hotel is convenient and central to London and made it easy to get around the city. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect to go to the tourisitcs spots! The room has whatever we need although. Given there are many rooms in hotel, it happens that we need to wait in queue for the breakfast and the environment is bit noisy. other than that , the overall experience is wonderful.

Ideally located for our plans, walking distance to key locations in Londons theatre district in Covent Garden.
Only slight issue was family room was not 2 double beds as advertised as anyone will know who has slept on a sofa bed, it’s not the same. Worked for one night. Would stay there again.

The Strand Palace could not be in a better location. You’re truly 10-15 min walk from most major attractions and if not just a 5 min walk to two tube stations to go anywhere else. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and the breakfast had anything you could’ve wanted. Rooms have thin walls so unfortunately you hear your neighbours but that’s just part of the charm of the old building. Would recommend

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Yes the lifts are snug, indeed the rooms too, but in your the heart of London, so understandable and good value at the price point for the sq.footage - go across the road to the Savoy and do the math on the cost per sq.foot if you disagree!! lol

Very stressful to turn up, having booked months in advance to tell me my booking on the hotels.com app had been lost (‘failed to integrate’ apparently)! Not the calm check-in experience I hoped for pre-marathon day. Once a room was found for me, after a prolonged delay, the actual stay was very pleasant & the location perfect.

The staff personnel were great. The staff helped us obtain early accommodations before check-in time and with directions for buses avoiding the Underground strike. Hotel was wonderful, rooms dark for sleeping and the mattress very comfortable. Extremely recommend the hotel.

The room was warm and comfortable though slightly dated compared to the foyer but was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was lovely lots of choice. Would definitely stay again

We were very early to check-in and just wanted to leave our bags we were offered an early check-in if we accepted an upgrade at a price, we were under no time pressure so declined to upgrade but we were then immediately checked in and given our rooms, I didn't like that as it suggested the hotel were trying to get more money out of us, a little thing but left us feeling a little uncomfortable. Other than that although the room was very small it was OK, nothing special but OK.

We booked the cheapest double but paid £30 to upgrade on check in. The hotel is huge and it was much more grand than I was expecting.
The room was still the smallest I think I’ve ever stayed in even though it was an upgrade. Small and functional with a nice en suite and good toiletries (large dispensers). The room didn’t have a view but the bed was comfortable and the Nespresso machine was nice.
We didn’t have breakfast and I’m glad because the queue was huge as we left around 9.30.
The cocktail bar was nice although the staff seemed to be lacking in customer service.
Overall a good stay and a hotel we will return to in the future.

I was attending an event which finished late, and I didn't want to travel home alone. So I looked for somewhere close by to stay which didn't break the bank. The Strand Palace Hotel offers single-bed rooms that come with a luxury shower room stocked with Rituals products, large wardrobe, table & chair, a desk and huge TV. Plus free wifi, bottle of water and bar of chocolate... and all for £110. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hotel room was quiet & comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

This is the second time I have stayed at The Strand Palace Hotel. I am a lone traveller and all the staff are friendly and welcoming.
The room is very clean and the facilities in the room have been well thought out. The choices at breakfast are excellent. I will definitely be staying again and would highly recommend.

I loved my stay here. Staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was positive. Abdulla was able to get me into my room early without any notice as I rolled in on very little sleep. I stayed in a single room. It was comfortable and clean, and the natural light from the window made it feel big enough for what I needed. I’m assuming some rooms do not have a window based on the layout and location of rooms. There is some street noise that I had no issue sleeping though, but if you would rather no window for less noise, an internal room might suit you better. Breakfast was amazing. Location is great and within walking distance of most major sites. I walked everywhere, but it is also close to the tube if you want to venture a bit further.

I love staying at the Strand Palace, as it is in a brilliant location, just a short walk to Charing Cross, Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden. The breakfast is amazing, although the staff were not as accommodating on this visit, as they have been in the past. I would like to say a huge thank you to Bami on reception who made my check in swift and hassle free.

Yes but they need to have someone monitoring it. I caught a diner taking bread back to her table decided she no longer wanted it and put it back which meant some unsuspecting diner wod have eaten the germ ladden bread if I had not removed it and reported it to staff.

Overall great experience at Strand Palace. Fabulous location in Covent Garden with access to restaurants, stores, theatre and three different Underground stations each within 1/4. Lovely, clean and updated rooms and lobby. Staff very helpful. Breakfast great and plentiful. I would stay again there for sure.

This was a solo trip for theatre week and it was perfection! Location is super convenient and the solo room (with window) was the perfect size for me. It had been 20 years since I had stayed there and the upgrades to the hotel were wonderful. Although I never ate at the hotel there were plenty of wonderful food options in the area. I always bring a sound machine with me, so I never heard any noise from the hallway during the evening. Will definitely stay there again on my next solo trip.

The staff was very helpful from beginning till end.

The location of the hotel is centralized, close to multiple train stations and to every main show from West End.

The rooms need a little TLC. The housekeeping was amazing and always came back to our room made.

Why I give them a lower rating on cleanliness is because of the status of the amenities. They just need some updating.

Lovely spacious, clean room. Good level of soundproofing, no noise from surrounding rooms. Excellent location 6mins walk from Covent Garden Tube Station & 5 mins from the Adelphi Theatre.

Hotel was fine but I will never use Hotels.com ever again as they messed up my booking completely costing me £1600 !!! I called them 3 times and sent 5-6 emails to which each time they apologised and said they would correct it, but never did anything !!!
