It was a bit of a walk to the city center but easy to get to. The staff were very friendly but the smells they use to make it \"smell nice\" when you first walk in give you an instant headache and they're so overwhelming. We had our windows and balcony door open for our entire stay as it was very cheap smelling and felt like they were trying to cover things up. They were lovely and kept our bags for us for a few hours behind the desk on the day of checkout and were very nice but they smell and older vibes were not my fav, to be it as honestly as I can.

Staff at check in and check out were kind and helpful.
Be aware, there is no shuttle to airport and depending the time of the day tax or Uber can cost over €40. If you don’t have bags, there is the option of walking about 500m to a bus stop, it costs €4 and works pretty well.
It is an okay hotel, but doesn’t look like a four stars hotel, two or maybe three would make more sense.

Front desk was very helpful and had a ton of info about the city. Hotel is a bit away from downtown but there is a bus stop just outside that will take you anywhere you need. Lots of nice restaurants in the area. Nice big TVs!

The hotel is correct, but we would not rate it as 4 star hotel. The best is clearly the breakfast, very complete. The aircon in the room didn´t reach a comfortable temperature, the lift is small and very slow, and the room is quite basic for a 4 star hotel. Location is good because it is very close to the bus stop that takes you to the city center.

It was a small but nice room, there was only one plug socket (for the lamp) in our room so could only charge one thing at a time. It was clean and close to the city center, bus stops and airport. Staff were friendly and informative. Would recommend.

The staff was excellent and took care of getting our taxi at four in the morning. They brought coffee at that hour, too!

the room did not have air conditioning and the weather was quite warm. We managed for one night but it would not have been ok if it had been for a longer stay.

The staff and cleanliness at the hotel were excellent!! Couldn’t fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff too. But in terms of amenities in the room, breakfast and hotel facilities itself, it was not a 4 star standard. It was a pleasant stay but just lacked that 4 star feel as the breakfast was the same everyday and lacked choice, there was no bar in the hotel. The room was so unbearable hot during the stay as the air conditioning had been turned off and they had no control over this. The location was also quite a walk from the main square. Overall, the hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful, but was disappointed with the fact that it was more like a 3 star hotel.

But one think to take care, the safe in the room, as another hotels (just some) even you set your own code in the safe, you (and everyboby) can open it with the program code “000000” something to simple and really dangerous for your belongins, please do not use the safe in this hotel.
I explain this problem in the front desk but the ladies there have not idea about this, but give an upgrade in the roomfor the inconvinience.

Had a nonsmoking room with a balcony but the balcony smelled like an ash tray. The smell of cigarette smoke was present in the room. Left after two days with all our luggage and clothing smelling like smoke. Disappointed because we were wanting an escape from all the smoke on the street.

Overall our stay was pleasant. We were there for convention and had good help with using premises for meetings, getting taxi and advice about where to eat orplace to visits. Room was clean and eve though when booking it said double bed, when we arrived we asked for twin - they rearranged for us. Friendly atmosphere.

Electrics tripping through the night

Location is OK. Breakfast was good. We stayed for one night. The main issue we had was that the electric kept tripping out through the night. The AC would go off and we had no lights. We had to call reception 4 times to reset the power. The man who assisted us kept sighing and was not happy that we were inconveniencing him. To stop it tripping, we had to not use a few of the sockets that were causing it.

Free parking was the only good thing about this hotel. And nice staff. But the room was disappointing. The hotel looks like an old motel that needs a renovation. A few details: The hot water in the shower takes about 10 minutes to warm up. Our bed smelled like pee.

About 30 minutes walk from the centre but there is a bus from right outside the hotel. I've and clean, my only issue was the cleaning staff starting at 8am and could be heard in the room above!

This year on our trek to Italy we chose Bologna for the transportation available for reaching the countryside. We were shocked by this area never did we think there would be so much to do, This hotel is located 2 minutes from a bus stop that made it perfect to get all over the city, The room was big it even had a stove and a fridge. Breakfast was very good with a large assortment from eggs to fruit and everything in between. Even someone to make you cappuccino or espresso. The staff was very helpful when they were needed. I would not hesitate to recommend to a friend or re book myself.

Good breakfast, unfair parking

Breakfast was very good, but there is not much else good to say. We found the front desk staff quite rude. I was expecting to have free parking, as is quoted on my booking and on the hotel page on hotels.com, BUT this is apparently only available for free if there is space in ther underground garage. If not, the guests are charged 4 Euro to park in the overflow across the road. The point is, if free parking is advertised, then all guests should get free parking. Seeing as it's only 4 Euros, it's surely not a lot to ask for the hotel to cover this cost when the garage is full, making it fair for everyone. It's not the price, it's the principle.

Friendly hotel staff. Booked a quality room but given a suite noextra cost! Hotel 15-20 minutes straight walk to centre. But busstop outside if feeling lazy and believe me in july weather it was a relief to have this option. Tickets cost €1.30 single trip transferable upto 75minutes i believe. Breakfast was varied if the same eachday. However hot drinks made fresh.....nice touch. Also outside seating. A computer to usefor guests on 2nd floor. Clean hotel with friendly staff. Good breakfast. English channels on tv. Not much in the immediate area eccept some cafes, shops. Airport busstop very near by. Warning if u catch the airport bus tell the driver u need to get off at ospedole maggiore as the bus does not stop unless u indicate neither does it inform u of name of next stop. Yes would stay here again.

We were most satisfied with this hotel: the room, the stuff, the buffet breakfast, the location. It is easily reached by taxi from the train station. The stuff was most professional and friendly. At the end of our stay, we asked for a taxi to go to the train station. The receptionist called and gave us a printed note that the taxi would be there in four minutes. It was! The room had a wonderful view on the Santuario della Madonna di San Luca, the walk to the city centre was always pleasant, every morning we were nicely seated at the hotel restaurant enjoying breakfast: fresh products, friendly staff, clean tables. You can also enjoy this breakfast (or go out at night with a cup of coffee) on the adjacent terrace. Bravo! I would definitely go there again.

Pleasant hotel close to airport/citycentre

Pretty boutique hotel, older aesthetic but clean and well maintained. Complimentary breakfast in the morning offers lots of delicious choice, as well as a pretty terrace to eat it on. proximity to the old city centre was very convenient (about a 5-10 minute walk to enter the area on foot); close to the airport (10 minute drive). Not the most beautiful of Bologna neighbourhoods but was safe and decent. Our junior suite room was pristine, the beds were not that comfortable, had a balcony with decent view. Couch was able to turn into a second bed for the other guest (convenient as we preferred not to share). The staff were multi-lingual,courteous and quick to help. One downfall was parking was supposed to be free but since we had not requested a spot at the time of booking (ended up renting a car as a last-minute splurge), we were told the parking garage was all full and we'd have to park in the lot across the street (which was a cost added to the bill).

Fantastic location, short walk into the historic centre. Lovely staff who were always exceptionally helpful! The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. We have done extensive travel through Italy and this was definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Bathrooms were immaculate, and for those that have travelled throughout Italy, you will know how hard a good shower is to come by (water pressure and chlorine smelling water)... Shower was amazing! I'll also echo the reviews left by other guests... But the breakfast selection was second to none. Overall, I could not fault suite hotel elite at all, and will be recommending it to all friends and family staying in Bologna! Thanks for a lovely stay!!!

They have a parking but...

If you go by car, it may be difficult to get to the hotel because the road is very busy in front of the hotel so difficult to park. They have a big parking near the hotel but firstly you will have to find a place to park your car somewhere else to ask the reception to get this information. It was quite difficult for us.

We had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. We had a standard room and it was clean and comfortable and we found the hotel staff friendly and obliging. Breakfast was good with different types of coffees made for you on request. The hotel is a 20 min walk to the city centre, there's small shops, bars and restaurants on the way and most of it is under cover in the porticoes. There's also a bus every 10 mins for 1.50 euros. The train station was 30 min walk and on a busy Monday morning when we got the bus one day it probably took almost as long! Everywhere is flat so if you're happy walking it's not a problem. I'd stay here again as we thought it was fantastic value for money.

Stop over in Bologna

We stayed here a few years ago and, having had a good experience, re-booked this year for a couple of nights in Bologna on our way home. Situation wise- it's convenient as it's close to the airport ( taxi less than 20 euro even at 5am) and walkable into the centre. Several local shops on the road in to the centre- supermarket and excellent Gelateria.
It's a cheap place to stay and considering what you get it is good value. It's not super luxurious and it's an old building that has been refurbished but when you factor in very comfortable beds and an amazing breakfast with barista coffee from a machine rather than insipid filter coffee it ticks all the boxes from my point of view.
