Clean, small austere rooms. More for business traveler then family. Good value if only passing thru but would not stay for multiple days.Currently there is a major construction project at one end of building which did not really effect us since we stayed on weekend but could during week. There is virtually no public lounge area. The website photo suggest Po river overlook but could not access terrace except at breakfast (weather permitting) Nice breakfast and staff.

Absolutely spectacular! This hotel is AMAZING! The rooms are so well updated and taken care of! Breakfast is an actual full breakfast with eggs and fruits, and lattes and everything! Staff goes above and beyond! Very very very tourist friendly! It was the perfect hotel!

Lovely hotel, pleasantly surprised on arrival. Beautiful view from our window over the river. Staff very helpful even when daughter lost her teddies and they held on to them so we could collect them later. Very helpful staff. Breakfast selection was good.

Only comment was the aircon wasn’t working. However, it looked like a new chiller was being fitted so it was just timing on our visit. Reception kindly provided a fan which helped.

Comfortable and clean hotel with buffet breakfast

Conveniently located just outside of Turin. Although when we researched on the app by filtering free parking, there is actually only free street parking. If you want to park on the property it will cost you 7€ extra. The breakfast was well done with a good variety and also catered for vegans. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Sleepless in Moncalieri

A great location for the business district of Moncalieri. A great dinner, but fortunate to have dinner offered because of a coincidental members only dinner evening. The room was large and well appointed. Bathroom facilities a little dated. Breakfast wasn't great with a limited variety of choices and the usual dry scrambled eggs in buffet servers. The night's sleep was constantly interrupted by the comings and goings of other residents, but this was compounded with paper-thin walls which were unable to contain the general conversations and activities of the occupants. Staff are very helpful and friendly, although we struggled to communicate in English, which is understandable when you're in Italy, but this is an 'International' hotel.

Family for here for one night.

We were a family of 5 (3 young kids under 6) here for one night only. We were looking for a stopover near Turin.

For a 3 star, it was of great value. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Free parking in front of the hotel with €5 a night for gated parking.

We were given a double bed and a bunk bed for the two kids. We asked and were given a cot bed for the infant (free of charge). The room was fine and modern. It was clean throughout.

The breakfast was continental. No issues.

The hotel actually had a spa but I don’t think it was working when we were there. It also had a gym but we didn’t use it.

the gym has no cleaning down facilities or water provision which i feel is a let down although easily remedied
room was very close to reception and due to doors being left open was quite noisy in the morning
suggestion would be to ask for a room away from reception
staff very friendly and helpful generally
breakfast was good but service was reactive rather than proactive for replenishing stock
great location for getting into turin by train
rooms extremely clean and well kept
there is a cost for a safe car park off road which you really need
we would use te hotel again without hesitation

Beatiful Hotel with air conditioning!!

We stay at La Darsena every time we visit Moncalieri and we just love this hotel. The rooms are great and clean, breakfast is spectacular, and staff is very friendly. We always stay in June and air conditioning is a must when you don't get it most of the day.

Excellent hotel. Original room offered had a smell of smoke thanks to the previous guests, but offered an alternative quickly and without fuss (and to the far preferable river side of the hotel, away from the road). Nice breakfast, fabulous staff.

Air Conditioning in Italy

This hotel was excellent and not having air condition last year when staying in June made me appreciate it even more. The staff is extremely friendly and english speaking as well. Excellent cleaning service everyday and the breakfast is fantastic!! Great place to stay, I'd recommend to anyone!

First visit to Italy. On way north from Riviera.

Shower had a lot of black mold on it. Room was suppose to have a queen and single bed for 3 adults, but the single was a small bunk bed.

Very friendly reception staff who spoke excellent English and recommended where to eat, how to get to Turin etc. The room was very clean with the usual facilities of fridge, safe, kettle etc. The shower was powerful and the bathroom facilities were what you would expect from a 3 star hotel. My only observation is that the fixtures and fittings are looking tired and could do with updating but this was purely visual as everything worked fine. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Would recommend this hotel

A two weeks staying

Visiting my family I needed an extra space for my baby and I, so I decided to book a room for 12 nights. Everything was perfect. The staff was friendly still professional, they had always welcome every request I made. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and sheets. I really enjoyed the continental breakfast. The hotel is really quiet, facing the Po river and half way from Turin and Moncalieri center. I both climbed :) to Moncalieri Castle and caught a bus to Turin: the hotel position is strategic!

European vacation

We traveled for 10 days in Germany, Switzerland and Italy. Stayed at 10 hotels in all three countries. This hotel was about in the middle price range of all we stayed at and was one of the nicer hotels. The staff was excellent and spoke English. Their parking was acceptable (which is important in Italy), they did have an elevator to get your luggage to your room, and they had a restaurant on site. By American standards the shower would have been unacceptable because of no tub and that fact that it was so small, however, by European standards if was what we expected. They did have toiletries, something that most of our European hotels did not. The location felt safe as did the area. There were not any other businesses in the area within walking distance but that was not a problem since they had the restaurant on site and it was acceptable. Overall hotel was a good choice for us as we needed the wifi (which was easy to access and of an acceptable speed) and the front desk was multi lingual and very accommodating. Negatives were the size of the shower and the the cleanliness of the inside of the shower could have been improved on.

This hotel gave excellent value. We booked at the last minute for one night and really enjoyed our short stay. The hotel is situated a good distance out from the centre of Turin but is on a direct and regular bus route to the city centre. It is situated on the banks of the River Po and there is a lovely terrace overlooking the river which will be lovely in good weather.( It rained incessantly the day we were there) Room was not huge but it and the ensuite shower has everything which was necessary. It is a very well heated hotel which we appreciated.
The staff were excellent and went out of their way to be helpful and informative. Breakfast (6 Euros) was good value also. One minor quibble re location. there were no restaurants close to the hotel although there was one in the hotel itself.
I would certainly use this hotel again on another visit to Turin.

Restaurant closed but the man on reception directed us to a very good place a couple of hundred metres away. Sadly he failed to mention that we could get breakfast in the morning - the option we had to choose on the website was without breakfast so we assumed it wasn't an option. There was no information in the room about it either. Room was clean and comfortable and adequate for an overnight stay. Couldn't open the patio doors to get onto the balcony due to repairs being made, but the view of the river was lovely.

Big, clean rooms - great bathrooms. The TV is big flat screen but no Sky so nothing in English. Also the Wifi does not work in most rooms - both these points should be sorted in a hotel. Breakfast is, food. Nothing special but gets you fed. Very helpful and polite staff, above average. Location requires a car, no shops within walking distance. One resturant within walking distance that is not always open.

The hotel was nice enough, a little far from Torino. The website said there was a restaurant /bar on premises, which is one of the reasons we picked it, but both were closed for remodeling. The river view was nice but you could only see it from your balcony or at the breakfast room during breakfast hours. During the rest of the day the balcony off the breakfast room was closed which is too bad because it had a great view.

my first impression of the hotel was very bad
why did the hotel give me a room with a shower that didn't work? i told them i was going with my two kids i had to change my room the day after.
the restaurant was closed and i wasn't informed before i arrived .they tried to give me the address of the restaurant nearby but i couldn't find it easily and the restaurant was closed because it was sunday.
one night the hotel ran out of drinking water they said i had to wait till the day after.
the receptionists were helpful they could speak english which really helped

the location of this hotel is poor you have a 20 minute bus ride to get into Turin.
There are no provisions in the room for tea making etc.One of the members of staff on reception was very impolite when we asked for toilet tissue as none was left when room was cleaned we were told we would have to wait until tomorrow! The only good thing about this hotel was another receptionist named Andrea's he was very helpful and polite. Would not go back to this hotel.

I was there during a weekend in April. The hotel is quaint; the staff, friendly; and the breakfast buffet, modest at most. The rooms are a bit out of date, with the carpet very run down. However, the bathrooms have been renovated and were well-outfitted with the modern amenities. Internet is precarious, as it exists on some floors and not on others. The location of the hotel is 6 km from downtown. Bus 67 takes you directly from the hotel to the city in a matter of 10 minutes. Moncalieri is a pleasant town, and the hotel is situated right on the Po River. If you are seeking a quiet and friendly ambiance at affordable prices and modest services, this is your best bet.

Descrizione camera totalmente diversa dalla realtà. La reception da la colpa all ota. Cosa non corretta. Dicendo che non vengono riportate le giuste informazioni e si è lavata le mani. Durante la notte. La presenza delle scale ha causato una caduta e la non presenza ne di un balcone ne di una finestra ad altezza uomo ha reso claustofobica la camera. Sono una sorta di spionciono alto faceva entrare poca luce. Carta igienica gia iniziata e maniglia del bagno totalmente rotta rischiamdo di rimanere chiusi dentro. Sono intervenuti a sistemare tutto. Ma in un 4 stelle non sono cose che possono succedere.. altrimenti meglio un ostello della gioventu , almeno sai a cosa vai in contro e sono giustificati.

Ho fatto presente il tutto ad una ragazza, alla reception, quasi scocciata mi ha detto che non potevano cambiarmi la camere purché l'hotel era al completo.
Provo a prenotare una camera nello stesso hotel e mi dava disponibilita.
Sia dal loro sito ufficiale che su altri siti.
Per il resto, tutto il personale della struttura gentili e disponibili, peccato.

Cet hôtel ne mérite pas ses 4 étoiles. Bien que le petit-déjeuner soit varié et de bonne qualité, les points négatifs l'emportent. Les chambres sont petites et l'espace commun est très limité. Le bar est minuscule, avec un choix très restreint, et l'hôtel n'offre pas de véritable lieu de détente. L'emplacement sur une voie très fréquentée par les automobilistes n'est pas géniale surtout si vous avez des enfants. Il peut dépanner pour une nuit, mais n'est pas adapté pour un séjour plus long.

Hôtel 4 étoiles !? Mais où ? Pas de climatisation alors qu’il fait plus de 30 degrés extérieur. L’accueil me dit d’ouvrir la fenêtre ? Quoi ? Comment dormir avec la lumière de la rue et surtout le bruit de la route qui est très passante (camion et voiture). Linge de toilette vieux rêche et sale ! Douche avec des joints sale et moisi. Et pour finir un cheveux dans les œufs au petit déjeuner. Et pour finir au moment de la réservation ont nous préviens pas que l’hôtel est en réparation et surtout que le restaurant est fermé, car en rénovation ! Expérience incroyable et fou

Hotel rimodernato di recente, camera comoda e molto pulita, tv con sky, cassaforte e buoni prodotti di cortesia.
Colazione abbondante con tanta scelta, personale veramente molto gentile sia in sala che alla reception.
All'esterno si può parcheggiare in sicurezza ed è gratuito, 15 minuti di auto e si è in centro citta, oppure ci sono anche i mezzi pubblici, molto efficienti. Ci siamo trovati molto bene, veramente ottimo rapporto qualità /prezzo.

Il 4 stelle è solo nel prezzo

Stanza fredda, insonorizzazione inesistente, set di cortesia inesistente, la RAI TV non prendeva. Dopo varie sollecitazioni il problema non è stato risolto. In più abbiamo trovato la novità della prima colazione non compresa nel prezzo. Hanno preteso 8 euro a persona. Fanno pagare una piccola bottiglia d'acqua 2 euro. Vergognoso e personale molti scortese.

Colazione ottima, palestra ottima, peccato per l'assenza di SPA/Piscina nonostante quanto indicato. Alla richiesta di spiegazioni dicono essere chiusa dal COVID (sono passati 4 anni ormai).

Would not recomend. More like 2-2.5 star hotel

Planned to stay for 3 nighta, however even though I already paid, I left after 2 to find another hotel.

My honest opinion is that this hotel surely cant be 4 stars. I would rate this 2.5, compared with other hotels I stayed at nearby.

The only good thing was the breakfast.

To summerize:
Every morning I heard another persons phone alarm. This was usually around 06.30 - 07.00, even on sunday. This person snoozed so many times that it was hard to resleep and I woke up tired.

The bed was so small that my phone fell down every night.

The spa was closed, the gym (that I didnt manage to see) was supposedly only open 19-22:00, I cant fins any logic in that opening hours.

They are re building right outside the hotel, which meant that the little time I stayed at my room except for sleeping, the whole room vibrated. When I told the hotel receptionist about this he basically said that he cant help me.

The picture of the hotel is very nice ans gave a perception of a big hotel, however the photo is from the back perspective and misleading.

Would not recommend this hotel as of what it is now. The only positive thing is the breakfast and that the hotel smell very good. The staff were also overall friendly. Just wish I knew that they were builders working there at my time of stay.

Non sicuramente un 4 stelle soprattutto per la pulizia della camera non soddisfacente e per la colazione che seppur ricca a buffet aveva bevande calde effetti dalla macchinetta. Le camere al quarto piano sono mansardate senza doccia mi era stata data una di quelle ma me la sono fatta cambiare
