Excellent location for airport bus link and onward train journeys from the station across the road. Beautiful city centre with plenty to see and do, eating spots and bars, we were pleasantly surprised how beautiful Bergamo is, an absolute hidden gem of a place. The only concern, which has nothing to do with the hotel, was the scores of men hanging around the stations and surrounding areas. This is not unique to Bergamo but the ideal location is somewhat undermined by the safety concerns, particularly of an evening. That all said I would not think twice about returning to Bergamo.

Looks onto the Train Station

We wasn’t staying in Bergamo for long, just the one night to watch the football. Hotel is ideal if arriving on train as it looks onto the station. Hotel is good, rooms are modern and the shower is decent.

Reception staff really friendly and helpful. Fantastic location, opposite the Train and Bus station and walking distance from Bars & Restaurants & Centre. Clean & Tidy, Breakfast okay but for €10 there are nicer cafes with better food within walking distance.
Room on the third floor right in front of the lifts. Cleaners trolley was outside my room for near the duration of my stay. Had one working day in my room where all I heard was a hoover for hours. Was loud in the mornings and late in the evenings with people get in and out the lift.

No reason to stay here

Our room for first night was truly awful. AC did not function so we opened the window which increased the already loud street noise and let in mosquito!s! A hot, sleepless night. Shower was a walk-in type but without a water barrier so floor was very slippery. Asked to change rooms but since we had used the shower they refused. Moved to back 4th floor for second night. Much quieter and a better shower, but very small room. Was able to get a night’s sleep at least.

Hotel is directly across the street from Bergamo Stazione. Across a street, on the left (if you’re standing in front of the hotel), is McDonald’s, ***Right behind McDonald is BUS 1A (see airport sign) that would take you to BGY (Milan Bergamo) airport.

It was only an overnight stay because I had to catch a flight from BGY. It was real convenient. It was close to the main train station AND bus stop to the airport. Hotel is nice as well. And those who have never been to Milan Bergamo airport, be prepared! Get there 3 hours in advance!! The lines are dreadfully long and chaotic.

Terrible service from this website and the hotel property itself. A booking made in error, wrong dates, but 9months in advance. Contacted both within 2 hours of booking to try and cancel and correct it to the right date, but neither would allow for it. They would have easily resold the room in that timeframe, but chose to be greedy and unhelpful. Avoid.

We had a twin room on the top floor which was adequate. Breakfast not included in the price.. this was €10 per person. No restaurant for evening meal. Room was clean, shower was good. The convenience of the location (across from the train station) and the ease of walking to the Citta Bassa centre were 2 main advantages of the hotel. However, the area could be quite dark to walk around (other than going up Via Papa Giovanni XXIII) and it did not make pedestrians feel safe.
Overall, clean and nice rooms, although it could be a bit noisy for rooms in lower floors (first or second) due to road traffic.

Bergamo well worth a couple of days. Hotel is opposite Rail & Bus Stations, but a fair walk to the Funicular Railway to get you up to the Old Town, the highlight. Room average - small, dated furnishings, good bathroom. Breakfast not taken, but very competitively priced is booked onsite. Good flexibility offerings (free) for late check out. Luggage storage offered.

It was a flying visit for us however the hotel is in a perfect location, only 10 mins from the Airport by bus and literally next door to Bergamo Train Station.

I arrived pretty late at night with my 7 year old. The staff were very friendly and pointed out various options for us to eat. All of which were less than a five minute walk away.

Room was nice and clean. Great size and also had good air con.

Convenient location

We stayed here just because it was right across from the train station and we had an early flight the next morning. It was fine, expensive though and then the clerk at check out tried to re-charge for the room although I had already paid through Hotels.com. I’m sure he was as tired as we were but it made for a stressful last few minutes there at 4:15am.

Highly Recommend

Great location and overall clean and comfortable. Only negatives were that I could not control the heat, so it was very hot in the room. And there was so shower curtain/door on the shower, but I was able to angle myself so as not to get the rest of the bathroom wet.

The hotel is in a great location close to the railway station and the airport bus stop. It's convenient for all the city attractions with a great selection of restaurants nearby. My room was at the back and had a small balcony overlooking a courtyard. It was quiet and restful. The hotel is modern and my room was perfect if a little small. It had a comfortable bed, good quiet aircon, a good TV, a fridge, a safe and a nice shower room. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast is extra and was good quality however there is a cafe next to reception if you only want a coffee. The staff spoke good English and were really helpful. I had a lovely time there.

Well located and great breakfast

The hotel is centrally located and has a large, modern and clean breakfast area serving a great breakfast.

Hallway and rooms are a dated, although bathrooms were newer, large and very clean.

Ended up exiting the underground parking garage through the wrong exit - unnecessarily confusing.

Excellent mid-range hotel; great location

Hotel is pefectly placed being on the main thoroughfare of Bergamo directly adjacent to both Rail and Bus terminals (Airport Bus stops outside Hotel). Facilities were excellent with the added bonus of Cafe/Restaurant attached. 5 minute walk to most of the lower towns attractions and 10-15 minute walk to funicular to upper town. Lots of cafes/restaurants along main street between lower and upper towns. Upper town also has abundance of cafes/restaurants and many attractive small shops. Most of historic buildings are in the upper town

Very good for an overnight stay.

Facilities and service were very good and the breakfast was excellent. Nearness to the main railway station was a bonus for us, but this - together with the fact that the Hotel is situated right by a busy junction - makes the Best Western Piemontese unsuitable for a lengthy stay.

Excellent price-quality ratio

The hotel is very close to the train and bus stations, however, very calm and quiet. Great place to start a journey to discover the city.

The room was high standard, clean and comfortable.

The hotel staff was very professional and helpful. They speak English well and there were no communication issues.

Good breakfast in a very nice eating room, wide choice including gluten-free products.

Nice hotel close to train station

Very clean hotel with modern rooms and facilities .. staff was very nice... they had a continental breaskfast every morning for €5,00 each person which was good .. wi-fi password changes every day which was a bit annoying .. it was across street from train station and walkable to stores and restaurants .. the only thing I didn't like was the area at night .. some seedy people were around

Good, convenient choice for Bergamo hotel

This hotel is directly across from the Bergamo train station; the bus to the airport stops a block away and local buses to Citta Alta, the old town, stop in front of the hotel. Many restaurants nearby too.

Excellent location and price

The hotel has a very good location for those who would like to travel from Bergamo to other Italian towns by train. It is also very close to dining places and is within a walking distance from the Old Town. Breakfast is also very good.

Excellent place to stay

We were only there for two nights at the beginning and end of our holiday as we arrived and left by rail, so the hotel situation was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Bedrooms and bathrooms maintained to a very high standard. Very comfortable and clean.

We have stayed at this hotel many times but do not like the introduction of 5euros each for breakfast. Up until this year, breakfast was always included in the price. As we were 3 in our party,this was an additional 15euros on our bill.

A stopover before getting train to garda

Have stayed several times here .very convenient.airport shuttle stops close by and train station in minutes.
Then 1 hour by train and you are at Lake Garda

Well located for Bergamo station, and everywhere

A small functional hotel in an ideal location, close to bus stops to and from airport, the station and the upper and lower town. Rooms are functional and quite compact but very clean and our rear facing room was quiet. In the first room we were allocated the safe wouldn't work, and in the new room the shower overflowed onto the bathroom floor no matter how careful we were. Breakfast was fine for the price and staff were all friendly and helpful. We used the luggage storage room on our last day, enabling us to enjoy Bergamo then return to pick up our bags. In room wifi was fast and reliable. A good choice if you want to spend most time out and about, public facilities fairly limited.

Great Hotel in a great location

An excellent weekend reuniting with friends in a very quiet, comfortable and friendly hotel. Rooms are not spacious but are comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bergamo. This hotel is located opposite train station and a short walk from the funicular to the citta alta. Nothing too much trouble to the staff. Thank you.

Modern but basic

Noisy room as overlooked main road and lots of people in corridors. No bath just shower, no tea and coffee facilities in room. Charged for travel cot. expensive car park a short walk away, but awkward with children and luggage. Nowhere to stop outside to drop off.
Clean,comfortable but basic facilities and more for business users than family.

A mixed experience

Although the room was modern, clean and absolutely pleasant, our short stay was clouded by the early morning staff reaction to my coming in for the express breakfast (as nicely suggested and promised by the evening lady receptionist when we arrived). The male receptionist shouted in English \"Get out, get out!\", \"It´s closed, get out\". Needless to say, I was and felt insulted. This particular person should not have a job to deal with the public, especially in a hotel with international guests.

Comfortable and clean hotel in very convenient location across from the train station.
The only downside is that if arriving/departing by car, there is no convenient way to get baggage to the lobby (there is no check-in parking or curb drop off at the entrance, and the underground garage is not connected to the lobby), so you need to carry it around the building to the reception. The underground garage is a bit difficult to find - the entrance is on a different street.

Good location for short stay

Excellent location by bus and train stations.
Easy access to old and new Bergamo.
Small public areas.No real bar or restaurant but many within walking distance
Lots of people hanging around in nearby squares.No problem but be vigilant.

Quiet hotel next to trains and congress centre

I stayed for 4 nights in August for a conference in the congress centre (less than 100m), in a surprisingly quiet room facing the busy junction and the station (which is 50m away). Location is ideal for day trips by train and for taking bus to/from airport. Città alta is 15min walking + funicular. Room and bathroom are spacious and clean. Helpful courteous English-speaking staff: they even put the cheese I bought in the kitchen's fridge.

On the not so good side: The room only has one high shelf and (plenty of) hangers, no drawers. The safe is minuscule, no space to keep a laptop (and maybe not even a tablet). The breakfast was just OK: not much variety, salty sausages, watery juices, and was not refilled (by 9ish the scrambled eggs were gone).

Overall, for the price I paid, positive experience and would stay again.
