Excellent hotel. We had 2 queen beds and a balcony. Our room was gorgeous. High ceilings, balcony, very large bathroom. So comfortable here. All staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly. We were able to store our luggage after check out. This is an amazing location literally a walk across the street to Porta Nuova. So convenient, with easy walking to everything. Such great restaurants in the area. We loved our time in Torino. Thank you so much.

Buon hotel. Colazione spettacolari, pulizia delle camere ineccepibile. Solo un problema il primo giorno con il condizionatore che non funzionava subito riparato dopo il reclamo. Staff veramente geltile. L'unica pecca che è vicino alla stazione che di notte diventa veramente pericoloso.

The hotel is in a good position in the city centre close to the main railway station. The area is not the best, although we never felt unsafe. Unfortunately on one evening we were unable to get drinks at the bar as there was no bar staff, although it was just after 10pm, and the bar should have been open until 11pm. The air conditioning in the bedroom was quite noisy and didn't work very well.

The staff were fantastic and extremely hospitable, both at reception and at breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located outside Turin Porta Nuova station. Lots of retaurants and shops within walking distance. There are some loud groups and homeless people that hang around 'the columns' to the right side of the hotel entrance. Otherwise it is a pretty safe part of town. The rooms are clean and spacious including bathroom. Hig bathroom but strangely small shower stall. There is also a balcony. The towel heating racks are fantastic. I liked the breakfast buffet too, it was just right and really good price. They let our child eat for free. My first time with a Best Western chain and I am very impressed. I will definitely stay with them again.

My experience at this property was unfortunately disappointing for two major reasons. The first was the distasteful attitude with which I was treated by the swing shift front desk agent. We had an issue in which I had already reserved a room for 4 guests, 1 king bed and 1 queen in the family suite. For some reason my 2 sons were not in the system and while I expressed my concerns to the agent the tone she used was threatening saying I had to pay 60 euros a night per person for these extra two people. While I was clearly dissapointed, I had no problem paying, it was just the way she treated me that relayed a distasteful service. Not only that but the of the 2 beds I had reserved the queen was not an actual bed but a pull out couch. This was not what Expedia promoted only further adding to my disappointment. Lastly the heating in the room was extremely high and despite many requests to lower it for the 3 nights I stayed there, they came to no avail and thus left my family unable to sleep well. The hotels saving grace comes in the amazing service provided to us by Mari the wait staff at the breakfast station. She was always bright and cheery and made sure our days started out in the best way possible. I must also mention that the breakfast was actually extremely well set up and very enjoyable. As a family of hoteliers from Las Vegas we take service extremely seriously and hope that they take these comments into consideration to better the property as a whole.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was varied with good food. Conveniently located next to Porta Nuova station. Unfortunately the sound insulation between the rooms isn’t very good. I was woken up each morning at 4:45 by the next room having a bath. The area around the hotel is quite unpleasant at night, such that you don’t want to go out. Groups of men hanging around drinking/doing drugs.

Nice hotel situated at the train station

If you're way in and out of Torino is by train, then you can't possibly be situated any closer to the station, which is very convenient. The train station is well situated in town, just at the southern tip of most of the interesting neighborhoods to visit, so you're not compromising location too much by being so close to the station. Hotel is nice, good rooms, good air conditioning. At night, the area just immediately around the hotel isn't the nicest, but it's fine and it takes just a minute to get away from there.

The hotel is fine, nice large family rooms, great staff, convenient location BUT the area by the train station is dangerous and really disgusting. The mentally unstable, addicted, prostitutes, rough crowd loiter in the covered arcade outside this hotel and one has to “walk a gauntlet” to get to the front door. It is really unpleasant, and dangerous enough that one should no go out late at night from the hotel. Best Western should hire private security or pressure the city to clean up the street.

Liked the kitchenette in our room, it was an unexpected bonus and meant that we could have chilled wine in the evenings! Also liked the mezzanine level as it gave us space from the children on the floor below - some hotels have the children’s beds really close by so there’s no peace!

Front desk. After booking, I called the next day and said I have a guest will now be joining me for my stay and require two beds. I was told there would be no extra cost for the change. Fast forward to check out, they (Fabio) charged me an extra €30 per day for my guest. I asked him to provide me the policy that states it’s an extra €30 per person, even though I was originally told there was no extra cost, and he said there’s no policy but the law. I asked to show me this law and he couldn’t. I had no choice to pay as I’m a tourist and had to make my flight home. Fraud.

Stayed 6 nights on biz trip. Fantastic location, cuz it’s very close to the station. balcony is spacious as a bit bigger than the yoga mat. It’s very rare to have that enough spacious balcony in hotels in Turin, I think.
Nice breakfast, friendly staffs.
shower booth is small but clean. Relatively high ceiling was so helpful to feel comfortable.

Don’t be put off by the general area in which the hotel is situated because the hotel itself is very nice, modern and clean. The room and bathroom were excellent. It’s easy to walk into the central area of Turin.

Everything was great there. It’s just I had trouble with their Wi-Fi. I needed to connect with a important server and could not. I went to a couple of different hotels and even a fast food place and was able to connect to that server. They did not know why. Very frustrating.

Room and bathroom were clean and bright. Staff were polite and approachable. Across the street from the train station and short walk to the city centre. However the wifi was pretty awful - wouldn’t connect most of the time and you had to re-enter the login information every time you turned your device back on. The AC seems to be turned off during the day in the room (I checked in at noon and I had to manually turn on the fan every few minutes through the thermostat). When I came back in the evening, it was cooler but still quite warm. Couldn’t buy chocolate until the day I left for fear it would melt in my room.

Everything was comfortable except for WiFi. The WiFi in this hotel is not stable and perhaps very weak for uploading files. At the hotel, I could not enter my office's website to report my work. But as far as writing/reading emails, it should be fine. Easy to come from Torino airport with a bus. Good for business trips.

I have just returned from a weekend away with my sister.

The hotel is very welcoming and the reception staff both professional and friendly when we arrived. Lovely chocolates too !!
We had breakfast and there was plenty to choose from including alternative milk options. The room was beautiful and we enjoyed coming back each day.

The hotel was awful. The front desk staff were rude. I asked a for a quiet room and they put me FACING the train station and main street. Constant noise. Windows were single paned so you could hear everything and often you could even feel the vibrations. It was just an awful sleepless experience. Also, hotelsdotcom's description was very inaccurate - there was no air conditioning whatsoever.

Having stayed here last week - see other review - I was expecting a similar standard of room. Unfortunately the single rooms are a bit on the small side, particularly the shower cubicle. Top tip - book a twin or a double even if travelling solo.

Okay location; decent value for money. A bit concerned on first arrival as street is heavily graffitied; but interior is pleasant. Minor gripe; while room has an oversized jetted tub, the handheld shower attachment is difficult to use with very limited headroom and no curtain.

Parking situation could be better.

Overall, this is a nice hotel. Room is nice, breakfast is good. Stuff is nice. The only thing I don’t like is the parking situation. We had to park 2 blocks away at some private underground garage and we had to give our car key to the attendant which made us uneasy. Then hauling our luggage thru the not so clean and not so safe street to get to the hotel. If you don’t have a car to deal with, this is not a bad hotel to stay.

Jacobo and the other staff were extremely friendly and helpful with directions. The room was clean and breakfast was great. The location was perfect--across the street from Porto Nuovo Train station, restaurants and city center. My biggest concern was the neighborhood. During the day, it was fine but at night I was nervous to go out.

Lovely clean room, fantastic service. Staff were extremely helpful. The hotel is opposite the train station which is very handy if travelling. A short walk takes you to the Egyptian Museum. Parking was quite difficult to find but no problems other than that.

We had booked a room with 1 king bed and 1 queen bed but when we got there we just had a room with 1 king bed.This was at 10 pm at night .Eventually a put you up bed was brought in for my 18 year old !. Not very impressed. Also no wi fi as was promised.

Great location- just few min walk from the train station and also close to city center. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Bedding was of a very good quality. The only thing was that it was loud outside at night- people screaming and talking. It might have been due to the side my room was facing. Staff ordered us a cab to the airport am which was helpful.

Room was freezing so I turned on the heating. It kept switching off every 15 seconds so I call the front desk and they told me they had to turn it on - shouldn't it be on when you check your guest in?? The heating in the bathroom was not working. Later at 1am the heating switched off and I called reception again. Was told they have instructions to turn it off at that time and it would only be on again in the morning. I was working late in a presentation and freezing since this regrettable hotel switches heating off during the winter. Will never stay there again!

This Hotel was chosen by the convention as a good option. In fact it is on the wrong side of the train station, in a quite scary area. Breakfast and overall service reminded me more a 2 to 3 stars Hotel from South of France than anything as a 4 stars for such a high price. Definitively not on my recommendation list.

We stayed in Turin on our way back from skiing in Cervinia, Italy. Mercure Torino was very accommodating in having our rooms ready early. The hotel is very close to the train station and the city center. The rooms were big and clean. Would stay again.

The hotel overall was nice. The room was a good size. The only issue was the shower. The design was impractical with the floor of the shower on the same level as the bathroom floor and doors that did not seal. One shower and the bathroom was flooded. Staff was great. Hotel location was right next to Porto Nuova train. Station which was convenient.

A hotel perfectly located for the Puerto Nuevo Station, the surrounding area was a little down market, but the Hotel itself was well maintained and the staff friendly and professional, The rooms although basic offer good value, although the door entry system and the wooden floors can mean its quite noisy into the night. Better for a business trip than for a quiet overnight stay.

The hotel was easy to get to by car and had very convenient parking, neither is always the case in European cities. The rooms were very spacious, very clean, and nicely furnished. It was an added consideration that they offered gluten free options for breakfast, my traveling companion was very appreciative. Lastly, balconies with views of the Alps...not bad!

Great Find in Torino

I booked the Crystal Palace last minute because I wanted to stay close to the train station for day trips from Torino/Turin.

The check-in process was seamless and the front desk staff were helpful in getting me oriented to the city.

My room was fantastic. It was spotless and had a safe, large bathroom, comfortable bed, and two balconies--one of which was about 30'X30'!

Some have mentioned the immediate neighborhood being unsafe at night. I never found the area to be unsafe. I live in a city in the U.S., so I just know to be aware of my surroundings. I wasn't bothered and felt safe during my stay.

The hotel is within walking distance to many sights in Torino/Turin. I purchased a 15-ride metro/tram/bus pass from a local store for 17 Euros and only used it once because the city was so walkable. I ended up donating it to the hotel at the end of my stay.

I highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, comfort, and location.
