Excellent location! I spent 4 nights in a twin room on the first floor at Elanez Hotel in September 2025 The staff are very friendly & make you feel welcome.

The location is excellent, just round the corner from the hustle & bustle of Istanbul but I couldn’t hear any of it from the room which was fab! Most things are in walking distance which is amazing, just 15 mins to Sultanahmet Square with Topkapi Palace & Hagai Sofia etc. If you want to venture further out the T1 tram is a few minutes walk away.

The room is large with a twin bed, sofa, fridge, tv, good air con & a bathroom. The bathroom is a good size but a bit run down & there were ants. The shower pressure is good but sometimes there is no water for half an hour, I think this is an Istanbul issue though not the hotel.

WiFi is good & strong. There aren’t many plug sockets which isn’t ideal.

Breakfast was nice with 3 hot options each day boiled eggs, omelette & then chips or pepperoni it changed each day. There is also salad, cheese, meats, fruit, bread, jams & spreads. Fruit juices & hot drinks.

Lots of supermarkets & restaurants nearby it is the perfect location. Worth staying for the central Istanbul location as long as you don’t mind a few things not perfect.

Great Hotel, very friendly staff, very close walking distance to all tourists attractions, also you can walk over Galata bridge to the New District and not take a tram (it can be very crowded).

I had a great stay for 6 nights.Rooms get cleaned daily.
Only wish breakfast would have more variety or at least different options during my stay.

We loved our stay at Elanaz. The staff is all extraordinarily friendly and helpful. It's super well located for tons of restaurants and close to Topkapi and the blue mosque. They offered either Turkish coffee or American, and the tea is always at the Reddy. Breakfast had the usual Turkish assortment of sausage and eggs, many cheeses and olives. We loved it here!

Our stay at the Elanaz Hotel was wonderful.1
Their team and staff at the hotel really MADE our stay in Istanbul amazing! From the welcoming and helpful check-in by Irina, to the FANTASTIC Above-And-Beyond way that Hussein helped me to surprise my daughter upon check-in, to the gentleman who worked the night shift after Hussein (I'm sorry, but I forget his name) who helped us get a taxi when when our other options fell through... The Elanaz Staff/ Team are really incredible! We felt welcomed, were treated in such a friendly way and were helped with the little things that we didn't quite know how to do around Istanbul. And, yes, the accommodations were nice too. The breakfast was good and the rooms were nice. There are many restaurants and stores close by (plus probably way too much baklava, which we took advantage of). You're close to the Tram and can walk (15ish minutes) to the Basilica Cisterns and the Blue Mosque. Staying at The Elanaz will enhance your visit to your beautiful Istanbul.

The service, especially from the two incredible receptionists, was truly exceptional. They were not just professional, but deeply personable—taking the time to understand our needs, offering recommendations, and helping us navigate a foreign country with such kindness and care. They went above and beyond at every opportunity, whether it was assisting with transportation, guiding us on local attractions, or simply checking in to ensure we were comfortable. It felt more like being hosted by close friends than staying in a hotel.

The hotel itself was immaculately clean and beautifully maintained. Every corner, from the lobby to the rooms, reflected attention to detail and pride in their space. Our room was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped, providing a restful escape after long days of exploring.

We had a pleasant stay at Elanaz Hotel, which is situated in a fantastic area — definitely the highlight of the stay. The location is incredibly convenient, with some of the best restaurants and Hafiz Mustafa just steps away. It made exploring the city super easy and enjoyable.

The room was comfortable and spacious enough, with a small but lovely view of the Bosphorus, which added a nice touch. The price was quite reasonable, especially considering the prime location.

The staff were very kind and welcoming, always ready to help and offer recommendations, which we really appreciated.

There were a couple of small issues during our stay: the hot water took around two minutes to come on in the shower, and we noticed a small puddle forming in the bathroom — we weren’t sure where it came from, but it was minor.

Overall, it’s a great option if you’re looking for a well-located, affordable stay in Istanbul with friendly service and easy access to major attractions.

Hotel Elanaz is excellent! The location is perfect : close Boaphorus, to the Grand Bazar, to the Haga Sofia and Blue Mosque, close to many restaurants! The hotel is cozy and very clean. Youssef is so nice and helpful! Also is everything really clean. Breakfast is basic but good. We definitely recommend and we would love to come back!

A great property in a perfect location - close to all the major attractions, shopping, and dining. Our room faced the front and had a full wall of windows and sliding glass door (to a Juliette balcony). The room was bright and quite spacious with all the basic amenities you might need. Hussein at the front desk was extremely helpful and able to answer all our questions as well as arrange a 2am pick up to the airport for us. Highly recommend!

The staff was excellent! Special mention to Hussein who went out of his way to be helpful! The location was excellent to walk to all of the tourist sites and the tramway was also close by. The room (partial sea view room) was quiet and just the right size. We have never stayed in a budget hotel and were hesitant but if you want to be in the right place to walk to everything then this hotel is the one to stay at. The floor in our room was filthy when we checked in but we asked for it to be washed and it was the next day. Breakfast was the only disappointment, not enough seating for guests and the seating that was there was too cramped. There are 13 rooms so a max of 26 guests and there were only enough seats for 10. There was also a table for 4 at the end but every morning the house cleaner or cook would sit there & put belongings so no tourist could use that table, this should stop! The food selection was also disappointing, one small coffee pot that took a long time to fill so if more than 5 people needed a coffee you would wait almost half an hour to get a cup, hard boiled eggs our first day were hot and then the next 2 days were cold left overs from the first day, one small 2 slice toaster. Every tourist wants to get out of there as soon as possible in the morning to avoid line ups at sites so breakfast held us back each day. The ‘selection’ of food available was also very poor and it was not replenished so again if you arrived after it was gone you were out of luck!

This is a very centrally located Hotel. There is a store at corner and restaurants everywhere. You can walk or take the rail car to the Blue Mosk or Sophia. Walk back down and go to grand bizar and spice Market before 2p.m. The breakfast is top notch. The staff is world class and the rooms are everything you need. We will be back...B.T.W. one of cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at!

I was pleasantly pleased with this hotel fist of all, a big thank you to all those that work at this hotel, extremely helpful, courteous and accommodating. The hotel is in fairly good condition , I would change shower heads and faucets in this hotel, toilet bidet leaked from the bottom of the toilet, so the hotel does need some minor maintenance, other wise, great stay and excellent location. I will for sure be staying here next time I am in Istanbul in hopes that some maintenances are taken care of.

This hotel is in an excellent location. Close to so many amazing restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. Husain went above and beyond!
We were at the very top room that has an amazing view. There are many small steep steps to get to the room; luckily there is an elevator.
We had a great stay! I would definitely stay here again.

Loved that all of the main attractions and so many restaurants and shops were just a short walking distance from the hotel and that continental breakfast was offered on a daily basis. Rooms were super clean and cleaned on a daily basis, water pressure in washrooms was amazing, and loved that it was right by public transit as well. I’ll definitely be back in the future!

Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport,
I called the hotel to confirm my arrival.
They told me i have no reservations with them, because Orbitz didn’t pay them.
Can you imagine , after 14 hours flight with 10 months baby and my wife surrounded with 6 luggages and stroller stuck in the airport.
I am so upset the way how the cancel our reservation.
It’s unprofessional, and disrespectful.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2019. Tanya and her staff were off the charts helpful in a couple of key ways.

1) Due to a miscommunication between my family we booked an extra room. Even though they didn’t have to, Tanya and staff helped us resolve and get a refund!

2) They helped us book cab rides to different airports and even got up at 4:45 am to make sure we got into the car.

All this and they provided breakfast in the morning and as much coffee and tea as we could drink! I saw all the staff providing the same level of service to other guests. Highly recommend!

A small friendly hotel, a short walk from the station and close to the Bosphorus and most major attractions in Istanbul. Tram and Metro stops close by to get further out. Shops, restaurants etc all on the doorstep. Would definitely stay there again on any future visit.

It's a small hotel, with a modest lobby. Service was excellent. Location is great. There's a station across the street for the train that goes across the Bosporus to Asian side. There's also a tram stop nearby that carries passengers to the main touristy areas. I enjoyed being awakened in the morning to the sound of the morning call to prayer. Breakfast offerings were adequate, but not as much variety as other similarly sized hotels in Istanbul. Breakfast seating was tight. Solid three and half star hotel and worthwhile if priced under $100 per night.

Wonderful little place!

I had a great time at Elanaz Hotel! The location is great for tourist activities - you can walk to all the major mosques, museums, etc. My room was also very nice and clean. I especially enjoyed the breakfast - every morning there is fresh-squeezed orange juice, some delicious cheese-filled warm pastries, and a very friendly attendant who will make you an omelette!

The hotel is nice, clean and honest (we lost a couple of memory sticks and they emailed me to tell me), the breakfast was nice with fresh coffee always a big plus with me, bring your own tea though if you are British, not a reflection on the hotel its just not going to be PG tips outside England ;)

The bed was very hard like a rock, for the older couple that can mean a not so good restful sleep otherwise they was extremely helpful, pleasant and friendly.

Amazing view of the Bosphorous

We stayed at the top floor which looked out into the Bosphorous and the Istanbul skyline, and it was quite enchanting. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast options were so sumptuous. All the Istanbul attractions are walkable from here, and we loved exploring the neighborhood. Overall, an amazing experience!

We loved the genuine warmth and the helpful, patient, service provided by the staff. It was very clean and quiet, close to all major attractions.
When a couple of our family members, who were not staying at the hotel, helped themselves at the hotel's buffet, they wouldn't let us pay for them when we offered. It's a real family friendly, cozy place.

Amazing little hotel in the heart of Old town, close to everything (Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Spice Market etc a few minutes on foot), and very convenient to public transportation (tram). The staff is incredibly helpful. I had already seen the major sites by the time I got to Elanaz, and Erdem was able to help me plan a couple of itineraries to see some different sides of Istanbul. I booked the hotel for one night (some friends were staying there), and ended up staying for 3 nights. I would happily go back!

We stayed here on a recommendation from a friend who has quite high standards and we were very pleased. We stayed for 5 nights and the staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. Upon getting there and checking in, they went through the area on a map, pointing out all the local attractions and estimated times to get around, this was much appreciated.

The breakfast selection was good and we made sure we ate a lot before heading out for the day. The room was spacious, warm and the bed was comfortable. The room also had a safe in it where we could keep our valuables.

The location of the hotel is amazing, it's so close to everything. A 10-15 minute walk to Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Galata Bridge, New Mosque, Egyptian Bazaar and a little further to the Grand Bazaar, Suleymaniye Mosque, Galata Tower and Taksim Square.

When checking out they called and organised a hotel shuttle for us, which was a lot easier, cheaper and quicker than the taxi we were thinking of getting, and then held onto our bags for us for the day while we went and explored some more.

Definitely one of the better hotels I've stayed in, especially for the price. Would recommend to anyone who is travelling to Istanbul for the first time.

We were pleased to find this small hotel recently redone and upgraded to the standard of many larger hotels in terms of their bathroom, and although the bedroom was not large, it was furnished thoughtfully with everything that was needed, including plenty of pillows, lovely linens, lighting, and electric sockets for our re-charging needs. Free wi-fi, too. The breakfast room downstairs is quite small and, when full, can be a bit tight, but otherwise I have not anything but praise for this hotel. And the location is perfect for seeing the sights in the main touristic area of the city.

A precious gem that's not in the Topkapi Museum

The folks at Elanaz could not have been more helpful and friendly. As soon as you walk in the door you're greeted like a returning friend. Someone always rushed to hold the elevator door and nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect, in the middle of everything and the facilities were great. The room was \"cosy\" but everything was clean, modern and more than met our expectations. It was great to wake each morning to a view up the Golden Horn and I would have no hesitation in giving the property a big \"Thumbs Up\". We were nervous about the media reports of the \"trouble\" in Istanbul but we never felt unsafe anywhere (including in Tahrir Square) and everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. A great place to stay in Istanbul.

Location: best in the city, 2 minutes walk from tram stop (Sirkeci) linked to all major sites and the airport, 5 minutes walk to cafe's/doner kebab stalls/currency exchange/grocery stores, 10 minutes pleasant walk to Hagia Sofia, 30 minutes by taxi from Attaturk airport (if no traffic) - General Manager and his staff: he loves making his hotel the best it could be, and everything he does shows it. - Room decoration & quality of bedding and furniture: tasteful in a quiet, relaxing way - Breakfast: tasty local cheeses/jam/spread, hot and cold sausages & eggs, daily selection of pastries. It will last you fully till 1-2pm - View from room: ours was on 5th floor, so lovely view of both the street and a little window on the Bosphorus. - Hot shower with strong water pressure: heaven at the end of each long and dusty day of walking. - Local olive & argan soap provided in bathroom: as good as expensive L'Occitane soap. -

空港バス、トラム、近郊鉄道に近くてとても便利。滞在もよかった。ハウスキーピングで物を全て整理整頓されるのは余計なお世話。そのままにしておいて欲しかった。ものがなくなったかと困惑した。翌日は掃除自体をお断りした。それ以外は快適に過ごせました。

Prima hotel midden in Istanbul, met station Sirkeci op loopafstand ben je snel in staat om de stad in te gaan. Het hotel is eenvoudig maar echt genoeg voor als je toch veel de stad in bent. De kamers zijn modern en worden elke dag schoongemaakt! Het ontbijt is niet enorm uitgebreid, maar dat is echt geen enkel probleem. Erg aan te bevelen!

Das Personal ist sehr, sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist super, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß oder mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbar. Die Zimmer waren nett und sauber, teilweise haben sie auch einen kleinen Balkon. Wir würden beim nächsten Besuch wieder hier buchen.
