Dit hotel in Istanbul was een complete teleurstelling. De kamer was ronduit vuil: vrouwelijke haren lagen verspreid over de vloer, er werd niet gestofzuigd en de badhanddoeken waren vies. Van hygiëne is hier duidelijk geen sprake. Ook het ontbijt stelde zwaar teleur en was absoluut niet wat beloofd werd.

Maar wat dit verblijf écht onaanvaardbaar maakte, was de totale afwezigheid van vriendelijkheid. Het personeel aan de receptie was koud, ongeïnteresseerd en ronduit onbeleefd. Geen begroeting, geen glimlach, geen enkele vorm van gastvrijheid of respect. Zelfs een simpele “goede morgen” bleek te veel gevraagd. Je voelt je hier geen gast, maar een last.

Het dieptepunt kwam bij het uitchecken. Hoewel uitchecken officieel tot 12:00 is, werd ik om 12:03 al opgebeld met de eis dat ik onmiddellijk moest vertrekken omdat de kamer schoongemaakt moest worden. Dat was bijzonder ironisch, gezien de erbarmelijke staat waarin de kamer zich bevond.

Dit hotel verdient zijn naam niet. Absoluut afraden en beter vermijden.

The room was outdated but very clean, it is an older hotel it badly needs renovation, the beds are very soft so I ended up with a very sore back at the end of my 5 day stay, the shower was broken we could use it but you had to hold the shower head in your hand, the breakfast was ok but we found the breads were hard and not a lot to choose from, one highlight was the pool it was excellent, heated clean and quiet great place to wind down after a long day but the hours are only 12-8 so early morning swim was not an option, the location couldn’t be better so central and right next to the train station 10 mins walk to sultan Ahmet, Haghia sofiya, and basilica cistern, but what makes this place special is the staff the were so helpful the cleaning ladies were so friendly I enjoyed seeing their smiling face every morning especially the abla who’s son in law is from Ordu she was so lovely, thank you for making our stay memorable.

My family of 4 (children 12 and 9) stayed here in February, 2025. Staff were extremely courteous and helpful, at all times. The room was always kept clean and tidy, thank you for that. The use of the pool and sauna were included in the cost of the hotel. Children and I absolutely loved these facilities. Breakfast always had a lot of choice and there was always something interesting on offer.
The hotel is well situated near the major tourist attractions and Eminonu port. The port can be used for ferries to other parts of Istanbul.
Accessing the hotel from the airport is via the M11 metro, change at Guyreteppe to M2 until Halic and then Tram 5 to Eminonu port. If you have a late flight, a taxi or Uber may be easiest.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily return.

Unexpected room. Even I go to the hotel… but this time wasn’t the same. The view from the window was a wall not the bosphor view as I requested. . Lights in the room very low and I asked for more lights they didn’t provide it. No kettle in the room.

Excellent Location and scenic view

Location was excellent. And the view is amazing. I booked this hotel because of the fantastic pics and the view did not disappoint. I was disappointed that the terrace was locked my entire stay. I was hoping to get some pictures from there.The woman who was cleaning the rooms on my floor was very nice and did a wonderful job. The gentlemen at the front desk were ok- depending on who was working. I asked one to call me a taxi the first morning and he told me to use the app or walk to the taxi stand down the street. I was a bit surprised, as I have never had a hotel front desk not call a taxi when asked to call a taxi. I am phone savvy and downloaded the app real quick as I wasn't sure where or how far the taxi stand was since I had just arrived and had to be somewhere at a specific time.

Once I got my bearings, I used mostly public transit- there is a ferry stop just a bit down from the tram stop right across the street from the hotel. Close to Egyptian Bazaar and Hague Sophia.

The workers were very rude towards us and are not kind to the kids. They thought it was okay to shout at our children for being loud and didnt like them making noise in the pool or lobby. They would walk into the room and shout at them to be quiet. The doorman was very rude aswell and even argued with us about the kids and they also refused to help us take luggage up.The toilet wad also broken and the baby cot was very dirty and the showers It is not a family hotel at all and i would never be back again

It’s fine. A basic hotel that has seen better days. The staff were lovely and really helpful. Location is great for the blue mosque and Topkapi Palace but it’s not in the nicest area of town. The road noise is loud outside.
Breakfast is a buffet which is also pretty basic. Not bad but also nothing to write home about.

Verry horrific hotel

The most horrific horrors experience ever terrible room mattresses run down bed bathroom minibar. they say water not drinkibal, if it is not how can we wash with it or clean our mouth. Very very bad place. Very bad breakfast. The only good thing is lication and kind staff. But it doesnt make up for the slepless night or no breakfast you have to go out for a descent one.

Nice clean, safe and modern hotel and friendly staff.
My rooms view was negative, concrete. It didn't bother me since I went out to experience Istanbul most of the times. Close to TopKapi and other historical buildings.

Clean room, friendly staff, underwhelming hotel

We stayed at Askoc during the last two nights of our visit to Istanbul and it was ok. Apparently it had been newly renovated, but it didn't stand out as an amazing hotel. The water temperature in the shower fluctuated from scalding hot to luke warm while showering, the shower doors didnt fully close, and the bed was rather soft. However, the hotel staff were very kind and accommodating when we needed to arrange for our airport shuttle and an early breakfast. The breakfast, also underwhelming. We noticed that things in Istanbul aren't quite up to the standards we have from visiting other places, so from that perspective this was probably a fantastic hotel. However, the first few nights of our stay we stayed in a much cheaper hotel and it was just as nice but the location wasn't quite as good. Overall, if you're considering staying at the Askoc it is clean and the staff are friendly. Also, the turkish bath/sauna were nice, but again, just not up to the standards that a Swiss and American are used to.

Stayed 2 nights. Very good location. Nice view from the terrace but it was empty. People were coming to the terrace for a smoke only. Room was very small, but the biggest disappointment was breakfast. Breakfast area was too small to fit all hotel guests, there were simply no tables (both mornings).

The stay was good. The hotel is less than 100 meters from Tram Station (Sirkeci) and even lesser from metro station (Maramaray Line - Sirkeci Station). The Eminonu dock is less than a KM (for Bosphorus boat ride and other ferry for local travel). Hotel staff is courteous and can speak English. Facilities at the hotel are good.

The first night I had a room at the back of the hotel. Was hot and air-conditioner was not adequate. Move to a front room with a view and a cool breeze. Made all the difference.

Good location, good internet access that was free, but charging 5 lira for ironing my shirt was poor. I have stayed here before and the staff are good and the location is good. However they should provide irons/ironing boards free of charge. Also I requested a double bed but got two singles. Despite this, I would stay here again.

At first we were apprehensive as the hotel is opposite a train station that is being redeveloped and there is construction right opposite (as at October 2013). However the hotel is newly built with good rooms, bathrooms, swimming pool which is rare in Sultanahmet and restaurant. The only disappoint aspects are the food in the restaurant especially the breakfast is disappointing and the staff especially the pool attendants could have been friendlier.

Chambre en bonne état , isolation des fenêtres à revoir (laisse passer le froid sur le contour).
Personnel de la réception très accueillant.
Localisation parfaite pour les visites culturelles principales.
Espace bien-être de qualité.
Petit déjeuner, choix peu diversifié, à 10h tout pile ils desservent le buffet et éteignent la lumière du restaurant (même s’il reste du monde en train de manger).

Nous étions un groupe de 6 personnes, contentes de reprendre le même hôtel, car nous avions aimé sa localisation ainsi que ses chambres modestes et son petit déjeuner simple et varié.
Seulement, le dernier jour, en nous dirigeant vers le transfert réservé par l’hôtel, le responsable de l’hôtel nous signale que nous avons « trop » de valises (1 bagage en soute 1 bagage à main par personne) et qu’il faut payer un supplément au chauffeur… Et il nous le reproche d’une façon mesquine, et il en rit avec le chauffeur en nous prenant pour des imbéciles voyant un groupe de jeunes femmes voyageant seules. C’était vraiment inapproprié et tellement pas professionnel de sa part. A aucun moment, il a agit en faveur de ses clientes, on a bien vu qu’il était du côté du chauffeur, hors que j’ai précisé via mail que nous étions 6 passagers transportant chacune 2 bagages, afin d’éviter ce genre de situation. Ce n’est pas aux clients d’organiser le transfert!! C’était vraiment dommage de finir sur cette note… Profiter d’un moment stressant pour sous tirer encore de l’argent à des clients fidèles. Pour avoir voyager plusieurs fois à Istanbul, ce fut le check out le plus décevant et stressant de tous.

シャワーの圧力、温度、今回泊まったホテルの中で、トイレの方まで、お湯が漏れなかったのが良かった点です。交通の便はメトロのシルケジ駅の方を通っていけばトラムの駅に出るのでとても交通の便では覚えやすくて良かったです。近くにカフェやバーもあり、でも夜はとても静かで良かったです。

Verste kundeservicen jeg har opplevd på et såkalt \"4-stjerners\" hotell!
Hotellet er gammelt og ikke fått noe vedlikehold på årevis. Har opplevd bedre service og komfort på 1-stjernes hoteller enn dette. Anbefales ikke! Frekke og missfornøyde folk som jobber der. Dom virkelig lar deg kjenne på skuffelsen av å ha lagt igjen større pengebeløp hos de! Frokosten er den mest tristeste buffeen jeg har sett og som blir servert av sure ansatte.

Ich war schon 5x in diesem Hotel und jedesmal nur wegen der Lage und zum teil aussicht, aber größenteils wegen der Lage.
Die Lage ist super sehr zentral allerdings ist das hotel ziemlich in die jahre gegangen.
Ich hab jedesmal versucht eine neue Chance diesen Houtel zu geben allerdings war es diesmal wirklich das letze mal. Die Zimmern sind sau alt man hat angst das dass Bett zsm kracht oder wenn man den Schrank öffnet das die Schranktür in der Hand bleint.Die möbel sind sowas von alt das man sie nicht mal beim antiken kriegt. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig man hört alles und kann abends kaum in ruhe schlafen. Die Matratzen sind katastrophe einer liegt auf boden der andere auf der Decke sau unvequem. Trotz das ich zum 5x in diesem Hotel war und das auch erwähnt habe,erwarte ich vom Hotel wenigstens ein Service oder ein upgrade auf ein anderes zimmer als Dankeschön das man immer wieder kommt aber nagut. Das Hotel hat eine Terasse was seit 7jahren geschlossen ist also bitte nicht glauben was bei den infos steht.
Direkt neben dem Hotel ein neues Hotel aufgemacht der genausoviel kostet und 2023 gebaut wurde.

Idéalement situé

L'hôtel est calme , pas de bruit côté Bosphore, très bien situé on peut tout faire à pied. Il est propre, personnel très agréable, petit déjeuner en buffet super,( jus d'orange pressé devant vous pour environ 3€ pour 60cl.) On peut réserver le taxi à l'accueil pour l'aéroport prix normal. Le dernier jour , on peut laisser les valises à l'hôtel pour profiter des derniers achats (éviter d'acheter les lokums à l'aéroport beaucoup trop cher). La vue sur le Bosphore est sympa, pas de bruit de circulation. Je recommande sans hésitation , excellent rapport qualité prix.

Går man efter hotel med pool så vælg et andet

Vi bookede hotellet særligt grundet børnepoolen, som dog er alt andet end børnevenligt, det er ikke tilladt at lege, snakke osv. Da det ligger et sted med wellness rum.

Flere medarbejdere kan ikke tale engelsk

On est déçu sur tout, Hôtel en carton, on entend tout : portes, chasse d'eau, conversations des autres chambres, beaucoup d'aller et venues la nuit avec les bruits et cris qui vont avec. Les chambres sont très petites malgré avoir réservé une triplette pour 6 nuits, on a eu côté vue derrière avec le bruit des moteurs car réservation sur ce site... ils n'ont pas voulu nous changer la chambre pour motif plein donc on a dû réserver deux chambres et les payer pour avoir un minimum de confort, un responsable nous a dit faut faire un choix entre votre argent et votre confort...!!! personnel très désagréable et non à l'écoute, nourriture défraîchi, piscine avec des cheveux ouverte entre 12h00 et 18h00, terrasse fermée, couloirs qui sentent la cigarette et égouts, A ÉVITER

De ligging is zeer goed en ideaal . Bijna hartje centrum . Niet gehorig maar gewoon echt ideaal . De staat van de accommodatie mag wel wat beter is beetje gedateerd. Zeker geen 4 sterren maar eerder 3 sterren . En het ontbijt is eerlijk gezegd “zielig “ , slecht assortiment niet zoals ik bij de meeste hotels gewend ben . Maar toch een pluspunt voor de behulpzame personeelsleden en de ligging
