Yes room was good. Staff were courteous.
When i got to hotel i was told my booking had been cancelled. If i wanted a room i had to pay at the hotel which was more than what i was originally quoted.
Location of hotel was good. Near the metro tram and mamaray. Restaurants near by. Gulhane bazaar 2 min walk.

Emek Hotel allowed us to check in at 9:00 am which is amazing. My kids were awake every morning by 3:30 so we naturally had breakfast by 4:30 am and headed to the mosque for prayer. The location is ideal and close to many things, Hagia Sofia and Sultan Ahmet are a 13 minute walk, Yeni Dzamija is a 15 minute walk, a boat ride of the phosphorus is 13 minute walk, etc. In terms of the hotel, they have the cutest elevator. This is an older hotel and the rooms are not the biggest but it is still very comfortable. We had one queen size bed and two fulls along with 4 pieces of luggage in our room - it was a little snug. There was not a bath but the water pressure in the showers was amazing and was able to warm up to really hot water very fast. The sheets and the bed are so comfortable and snug- the quality of the bedding is amazing that my kids fell asleep every night in a matter of minutes. I don’t like my room cleaned everyday so I appreciated that the staff was not pushing their own agenda on cleaning my room but whenever I needed something, like towels or the room cleaned, I used google translate to ask and they did it right away. The thing I loved the most about this hotel is that is a family run business and it’s very close knit family. They are very attentive and caring for the people staying here and I am sure that such service is very hard to find in Istanbul! Thank you Emek Hotel for your hospitality!

Checked in was 9 am , i arrived at 5 pm , i have been waiting for one hour because they need to clean the room !!! Other people arrived after me in 30 min let them in straight away because they are local !!.
Bad room one power point , tinny toilet hard to use , unfriendly receptionist, i asked him to change my room he didnt accept, Unfortunately its a bad experience .

I would choose this hotel every time if I we’re coming back to Istanbul! The location is perfect, walking distance from iconic places such as Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet mosque, the Basilica Cistern. It is close to tram, train, & bus services. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Their buffet breakfast was excellent. It was a fantastic experience😊

Sewage smell, polluted water, mosquitoes

One of the worst rooms I have ever booked. The room was infested with mosquitos - I killed between 3 and 6 per night, every night. I couldn't sleep. Even with all the windows closed and after killing all the mosquitoes in the room, new mosquitos kept spawning and disturbing me. The smell of sewage in the bathroom was the worst I have ever experienced, it was unbearable without a window open. The water from the cold tap was brown, i have never seen anything like it. The combination of dirty water, foul smell and the mosquito investation was evidence the building has severe waste disposal issues. The air conditioning was intentionally disabled in my room, the hotel manager was very rude telling me I can open the window if I am hot. He pointed to my invoice telling me I had paid a very cheap price so the air conditioning is \"closed\". He seemed irritated with me. The surrounding area is very noisy due to construction. I could not wait to leave this hotel.

I had a one small bed room with a shared bathroom. The breakfast was excellent every morning with tons of great options. Very easy to walk to from the subway and easy to get to the tourist attractions. I had my laundry done on the same street and there were restaurants in every direction. Well priced for what you get.

Worst hotel I have ever experienced got there was taken to a broom cupboard room no windows next to loud lift could not sleep. Next day moved to another room window that faced a brick wall no air conditioning 1 shared bathroom and toilet situated on 5th floor. Disgusting even the tap water smelt strange loud construction work. Staff say no to everything my worst experience I should have listened to the bad reviews it ruined my holiday. Could not get a coffee even though I said I would pay this was more like a prison do not book stay home or book somewhere else honest!

Hi, we a family of four stayed for five days. Excellent staff, breakfast lovely & the staff are really helpful.
The hotel is walking distance to all sites you need and the tram station is as also on your doorstep! We'd stay there again 😀

I understan i booked in October 2022 and arrived on February 2023 when there was renovation work going on. It was stiil clean and very professional. I am pmanning to return in April 2023 again.

Its was horrible stay at this hotel. The roor has no AC, very hot inside the room. In the website of expedia it wasnt written that the room without AC. I called the Expedia customer relationship, it was clear their careless, the expedia agent climed that he called the hotel receiption but I was there and no phone was placed. The agent insisted that No Ac is written but it is my fault that I didnt go down through page to notice that. That was misleading by Expedia. Also blaming the customer is somthing not prefessional. Its was bed and memorable experience with Expedia. I will think twice in the future before visiting this website.

This hotel was very bad services and the manager of hotel in the day shift very bad person. I did a booking by online but this booking not clear details specially with the bathroom is share of not. On the other side the most items in this hotel were very bad. Low water pressure, electric devices were not safity. I don't recommended to yjis hotel with this prices.

The first good thing in hotel was employees, Hassan, Morad, Bayram, Ebrahim, and Hatun are really friendly and helpful.
The neighbourhood is fantastic and accessible to all the touristic areas.
The rooms and lobby are clean.
But small.
If I wanted to go back to this hotel(which Recommended ) I book a room for one more person to be more free in the room.

A great traditional budget stay. Recommended!

I have just returned from a stay at this hotel and have to write a glowing review.
Location- excellent location in a quiet side street about 7 minutes walk to Agia Sofia and blue mosque and similar to the ferries that take you to the Asian side. The tram stop is about 3minutes walk away. There are a strong of shops, cafes and mini markets on the same street.

Rooms- elevated in two single Rooms in which was a double bed wardrobe bed side table and dressing table. It was clean and toiletries and slippers were provided. Online that each room was given a personal touch as to who was staying there. The room was adequate. i was not in istanbul to spend time in my room and it suited perfectly to sleep and shower. The room did was similar to other hotel rooms i had stayed i in the city and potential visitors must realise it is an old city with tall narrow building's and the rooms will reflect this in size. The shower water was beautifully hot and air conditioning worked great. a small tv was Provided also but there are far better views to be had in this city!

Food- a traditional Turkish breakfast of cheeses meats olives jams honey watermelon hard booked egg tomato and cucumber along with a variety of biscuits and chips .a fresh basket of soft breaD was provided on each table. Fresh and filling and mostly traditional to the country. Beautiful! Also tea and coffee.

Service - very welcoming. Tea was offered when we returned to hotel after outing.

Will stay here again!

It's quite good hotel, sorry you can't call it hotel. First the rooms are small but clean and the A/C is useless ZERO we suffered from that we couldn't sleep, it's toooo hot all the rooms are like this. the toilets are very small. The pictures don't do any justice all the pictures are fake. The location is very good it's near everything ill give the location 6 star instead of 5. of course i wont and never go back again to this hotel. one more thing the view from the top of the hotel is amazing! But i wouldn't recommend it it kinda ruined my stay in istanbul only because The A/C.

I regret choosing this hotel , why ? becasue we arrived 7 pm to hotel , as we arrived to hotel , receiption man take us to other hotel infact 200 meter distance of this hotel . i asked why you bring us to this place ? he told i have no room , this days is very crowd , and such word . and second place was not hotel , it was a low cost hostel . me and my wife were angry and i told him , this is your problem ,i have reserved room from internet and i have confirmation , we were tired and flight was from budapest to sahib gocen airport , long distance to hotel , we had to stay that night in hostel , next morning we take two heavy loggages to hotel again , he told room will be ready 12 pm , we went to city and back night . this manner of a hotel , is not acceptable . i never recommond this hotel to any . price was 50 euro for night , rooms was dirty and badly smell , bath worst . only positive point , close to metro station , i prefer to pay 70 euro and far from city center , but acceptable hotel , we were 30 days in travel , infact istanbul was 31 day of our journey , i did not see such a case in other european city , barcelone , brossels, prague , lisbon , ..........

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Bahnhof Sirkeci, somit sehr Zentral in Eminönü. Die Zimmer waren für 4 Personen leider sehr klein und dadurch haben wir kaum Platz für unser Gepäck im Zimmer gehabt. Die Zimmergröße auf den Fotos täuschen leider. Auch das Badezimmer war ziemlich klein. Sobald die Lüftung im Bad an war, hat es ziemlich stark gerochen. Das Frühstück-Buffet war in Ordnung und wurde im Erdgeschoss des Restaurants angeboten. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es im nahegelegenen Parkhaus für 650 Lira pro Tag.

Güya ortak banyo sectigimi söyleyip kiyak yaptığını idda ederek banyolu oda kullandım ücreti diğerlerinin 4 te biri idi kahvaltı iyiydi epey ürün oluyo 15 kalemden fazla fakat mevkisi çok iyi Sirkeci Marmaray durağına 50 metre tarihi yarım adayı gezmek isteyene tam uygun ben otopark talep etmedim fakat yanda katlı otopark onariliyodu park sorunu olmayabilir

Ich dachte erst ich bin im Gefängnis gelandet, ein zimmer höchstens 5 qm nur ein Bett war sonst nichts, erst nach dem ich 50 Prozent mehr bezahlt habe, habe ich ein Zimmer mit Bad bekommen und das auch mit Mühe und Not, total unfreundlich.. Leute überlegt euch gut!!! Einzige was sympathisch war, war die Frau wo frühstück vorbereitet hat mehr nicht... Diese hotel ist für kleine Menschen gedacht oder dir nur Rucksack dabei haben... Ich bin kein negative Mensch aber das geht nicht... Ich hatte davor günstigere hotel war 5 mal besser!!!

Der Besitzer von Hotel Emek ist zweiseitig und sehr komisch mann kan denn nicht einschätzen Getränke zu teuer.

Was Grüßen angeht kennen die nicht auch die Putzfrauen nicht richtig sauer machen die auch nicht wo ich eingecheckt habe nur ein nicht mal halbes Klopapier in Zimmer für zei Nächte das geht garnicht was Hygiene ist kennen die auch nicht das aller beste war das musste ich denn bezitzer fragen wegen Klopapier da hat er mich komisch angeguckt und eine rolle mit gegeben

Und mein Check out war um 12:30 und der sagt nein 11 Uhr

Excelente custo benefício

Me surpreendeu este hotel.
Quando chegamos ficamos muito assustados, principalmente pelo tamanho do quarto, mas compensou pela limpeza, pela gentileza e educação dos funcionários.
O café da manhã é bem razoável, mas muito aceitável.
Excelente custo benefício.
Voltarei a me hospedar nele, com certeza.

Personalet hilste ikke når man kom, morgenmaden var virkelig ikke noget at råbe hurra for, der var ingen roomservice, og selv om det er et billigt hotel, så kan man finde andre billige hoteller, som byder på en højere kvalitet i Istanbul.

Våning 5 enkel säng är jätte dålig sänG gemensam Toa och dusch !.
Ingen värme eller AC .
Våning 2 - 4 är bättre men lite dyrare.

Das wahr mein schlechteste hotel , zustand wahr schlecht bett wahr kaputt es sollte Parkplatz geben aber es gab keine ich musste jeden tag selber Parkplatz suchen wo ab 9 verboten ist musste deswegen immer in der früh aufstehen, keiner hat mein gepäck genommen mjSte selber tragen, außerdem kein wc und badezimmer im zimmer also es wahr alles schlecht
