If you are going to Istanbul to see the main sights, this is definiotely where you should stay.

First, all the staff is fabulou8s. They took great care of us and helped us a lot!

The location is in easy walking distance of all the main sights. Itr is along the wall of To[paki Palace.We could see into the Topaki Gsardens from our room window.

I will recommend this hotel to all my friends visiting Istanbul.

This is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting the sites of Istanvul.

It sits very close to Haga Sofia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and Topaki Palace. It is right outside the wall of the Topaki Gardens.

The staff is superb! Extremely hel[pful. We loved them.

You are not going to find a better place to stay in Istanbul for touring the main sights.

Exceptional staff. The manager and staff go out of their way to ensure your stay is personalised and that you feel welcome and at home. They are always on hand to provide their guests with every assistance. Rooms are premium and well maintained. Delicious breakfast. Afternoon tea is a nice gesture. Hotel is in one of Istanbuls most beautiful neighbourhoods and while very central to the main attractions is still quite private with nice shops and restaurants just outside the more hectic tourist areas.

Room was clean, staff very helpful, amenities: small pool, sauna, weight room, etc looked nice though I didn’t use them. Location perfect to transportation options and a park. Mostly quiet-I wore ear plugs as I was on 1st floor. Blackout drapes essential and helped cut down on noise. I am a light sleeper. I would stay again.

The Manager welcomed us from the onset. Even though we arrived early, he arranged for coffee and then we joined him on an excellent walking tour not for tourists. He even bought us ice cream and pretzels. The staff were so helpful throughout our stay and they recommended a great restaurant for our last nights dinner. Would highly recommend to any friends going to Istanbul.

Great Hotel in a great location! 5 stars!!!
I stayed in a twin room my first night, and the regular room was just fine, thank you.
However, because my wife was joining me, I upgraded to a top floor room with a balcony. It was worth the extra expense! The view was great! We both loved our stay!
The location is fantastic… It’s on a quiet street in the historic old city. The wall of the palace is across the street… There are nearby gateways into Gulhane Park, which is where the Topkapi Palace and related museums are located.
Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are as close as a 15 minute walk.
There is a tram stop on the corner in the direction of Hagia Sophia.
In the other direction, another 10 minute walk will get you to the train station that was the terminus of the original Orient Express train. Across the street from the train station is the ferry terminal! Access to the rest of Istanbul could not be easier.
If you’re in the mood, you can walk to the spice bazaar.
Public transit is easy and efficient, and the hotel is well situated for exploring the area. We stayed 7 days and used only public transportation. We took ferries, trams, metro and busses. No need for taxis.
Breakfast at the hotel was quite good and we got to know the staff.
In particular, get to know the manager, Okay. He is good at his job, and had great advice for things to see and do, as well as how to leverage public transport. He is well connected and can also arrange tours, if you are so inclined.

This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. My room was not large, but big enough for me. It was very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and kind and the concierge was always available to arrange outings, taxis, etc. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of options and different things each day. The hotel is right across the street from the beautiful Gülhane Park, steps from a tram stop, and easy walking distance to all of the Sultanahmet area tourist sites.

This was a very convenient location on the edge of the park and most of the key sights are within walking distance. Very little traffic so quiet. Very attentive staff. The hotel is a bit of a classic charmer which also made it interesting. Nice deck on top with views of the park and Bosphorus Strait. Many restaurants nearby. Let us check in early.

And goes till 11am, nice for those who get in late the night before. Hotel is very walkable to main attractions like Topaki Palace, Basilica Cistern Museum, Haja Sophia Mosque, Blue Mosque and Spice Market. There are many restaurants in the area.

Staff are outstanding- absolutely make the stay exceptional. Knowledgeable, friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Take one of their organized tours - our food tasting tour with the Manager, Mr Alkan was exceptional!

Breakfast is very good, and hot dishes change every day.

The location is outstanding, proximate to all major sites, and 1 minute from tram stop - which makes it super easy to get around.

Example - our ferry to Bursa was cancelled; the front desk helped us book an alternative ferry… by calling the ferry company (IDO), being put on hold, then our Visa card wouldn’t work, so he paid with his personal Visa, to make sure we got the reservation. Just outstanding.

If in doubt, or trying to decide between hotels, pick this one, you won’t be disappointed.

Really loved this hotel. Being able to relax in the bath tub after a long day of walking across the city was amazing.

I kept so busy I didn't have time to use the pool or sauna, but it's a good incentive to come back.

Breakfast also changed each day, it was interesting to see what would be on offer each morning! Im vegetarian but managed to enjoy a variety of items.

My stay at Sirkeci Mansion.

Where do I start..from the moment we stepped in at 8 am in the morning, they accommodated my request for an early check in since we had kids and were exhausted from a long journey and they even gave us breakfast. From there onwards it has just been a brilliant stay for 8 days. The hospitality, kindness, family ambiance we received was incredible! (Complete opposite to the general public of Turkey).

All the staff from Enver, Sezarn, Farooq, Ayaz, Arif, Fathima, Nargis were extremely welcoming and helpful but my hat goes out to Brother Okay who went a step beyond in assisting us with our day to day activities. He speaks the English language perfectly as well which was a plus.

The hotel is a Botique hotel with a family feel to it. Has a lovely pool, sauna and Hammam for the cold winter evenings. It’s legit 20 steps from the T1 tram and few metres away from the underground train.

The only flaws were the window and toilet roll holder being broken in the room and TV was not working with no sport channels showed in the hotel which is strange as Turkey is a football mad country.

A particular staff member was extremely unpleasant and rude which made our stay a tad bit uncomfortable. I raised the issue and trust it has been addressed.

Barring the few small minor issues, our stay has been extremely pleasant.

It was extremely sad to leave our Turkish family behind and definitely we will return to Sirkeci mansion if we going to ever come to Istanbul again.

Fantastic location and very friendly staff in a charming hotel with good breakfasts, a small pool, sauna and Turkish bath.

Perfectly located for exploring the old town on foot (including the Ottoman Emperor's palace, Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar) but easy to nip over the Galata bridge by taxi or tram for nice restaurants (Gallada is amazing but expensive and Ali Ocakbasi is great but hidden).

We had a brilliant time here.

The location is excellent - within walking distance of most of the major attractions and surrounded by many restaurants (albeit quite expensive).

The staff were brilliant, incredibly helpful. The culinary tour was a particular highlight, thoroughly enjoyed that.

The only negatives were that some parts of the hotel are looking a bit tired and the bar was a bit low on some types of alcohol.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Very convenient for the tourist sights of Istanbul but also quiet. Also a very short and easy tram ride from/to the cruise port. There is a lovely terrace to sit on and the views from the front of the hotel over the palace gardens were nice. However, the highlight for me was the box of gluten-free goodies they provided in my to room. Exceptional service, which I've never experienced before.

Excellent hotel. I am on vacation with both my sons.The staff goes over and above to meet our needs. The next day we arrived, it was pouring outside, so they provided us with umbrellas!
The breakfast is delicious. Different varieties daily. If I want to relax, I can just go up and sit on the terrace that overlooks the Galhane park. The location is just PERFECT. Though it is in the center of everything, it is still quiet and peaceful. We were in Uskudar in 6 minutes. Stay here at Sirkeci Mansion and you will not regret it!

We loved everything about Sirkeci Mansion. The pre-trip messages via Expedia were very helpful and made it easy to arrange airport transportation. Check-in was great, rooms were perfect, and breakfast was excellent. But what makes Sirkeci Mansion great is Mr. Agah Okay and the entire hotel staff. We really can’t thank them enough for making our first trip to Istanbul as memorable as it was. The walking tour lead by Mr. Okay was outstanding and should not be missed! We arrived too late in the week to make the other tours, but I have to assume they are also great. Finally, the hotel is in a prime location, with mostly everything in the Old City within walking distance. The tram and metro are also very close, convenient and easy to use. We can’t wait to return to Istanbul and Sirkeci Mansion!

Highly recommend staying at this hotel! It is in such a great location for all of the old city attractions and very close to public transport to venture further out. The service from the staff was incredible and the daily breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea was great! I also highly recommending use of the spa services, I had the most amazing traditional hamman and massage with Vedat, he was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. It was a wonderful hotel. It is close to everything and is on a very beautiful street with cute shops and restaurants. The rooms were well taken care of and comfortable. There is a nice pool and hot sauna included for no extra charge. The staff was very kind and polite. They gave us cold bottled water whenever we asked as we headed out the door. The Turkish breakfast was a full buffet of hot breakfast foods, as well as, many cheeses, fresh cut vegetables, olives, fruits, nuts, many types of breads and cakes, and unlimited coffee and tea. I truly can find nothing other than great things to say about it.
