When we arrived, I was given a double bed but I booked 2 single beds. The receptionist moved me to another room but said I would have to move rooms during my trip. Thankfully when it came to this point, they decided that I didn’t have to move rooms. But it made it unnecessarily inconvenient and not relaxing.

Otherwise the new room itself was good. It was very warm inside for February! The room was spacious and brilliantly located near lots of restaurants and 10 mins walk to Hagia Sofia. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel for 2 night, everything is near by walking distance.
The rooms are tiny but I personally don't need more than that.
Clean sheets and comfy bed to sleep well , I don't spend time in my room anyway.
So,it was good enough for me!
I will return if I have a chance to visit again Istanbul.

I loved all of the staff.

Anything that needs improvement is not their fault.
Property in basement area looks a bit rundown.
Needs some work around the floorboards and some painting.

Breakfast assistants are very nice.

Please check for freshness of the food.

Some items were not fresh.

Recep at the front desk is wonderful.

The cleaning staff is also wonderful.

I like the kitchen assistant. He is very nice.

I will stay here again.

Stayed in this hotel with a few friends last year but would not stay here again. The hotel is in a great location but it’s more 1.5 star than 4 star. The breakfast buffet has hardly any options, the rooms are tiny and aren’t even cleaned every day, the staff are also rude. The only good thing about this place is the location, everything else is below average. You can book somewhere else for the same price, avoid this hotel!

Through our stay at sirkeci park hotel we was not happy at all through our stay at the hotel. The building was too old and needs renovation. As for the beds and room, the rooms was very small not as mentioned in the pictures, the bed was not comfortable at all and too small. As for the staff they was very friendly and helpful. In conclusion the hotel is not recommended

Hotel is in an excellent location and staff very friendly. However advertised that WiFi is available but only available in the hotel lobby.

Breakfast was poor no hot food available beside the tea and coffee. Poor selection of food. I expected the basic food a typical Turkish breakfast but instead just cheeses and bread and hard boiled eggs.

It was a great experience staying in this hotel. The triple room was clean and spacious enough for my family consisting 2 adults and 2 kids.

If you are a first timer in Istanbul, you might say the lift is small, but trust me, most of Istanbul hotel especially in the area of Sultanahmet are like that.

This hotel is located 100m to Gulhane Station. Easy to go everywhere.

I've never seem a hotel room so small. No drawers for clothes only a small wardrobe. Staff were pleasant but the room was awful. Bathroom too had no shelves, nowhere to put toiletries and sink so small you could mot wash your face. I would not stay here again

Nice hotel in touristy area

Good experience, no complaints. Location is superb, in the touristy area of Istanbul, near to 2 tram stations.

We, a family of 3, stayed in a superior triple room over 4 nights for less than 120euro. Although not spacious superior triple room comes with an additional room, bathroom, minifridge and tv.

Breakfast is included in the room rates but consists of mainly typical tirkish breskfast.

Checkin and checkout was fast, staff pleasant and ever willing to help out in case you need their service.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

This hotel was in the best location. it was walking distance to many things. I could not have asked for better location. the staff was nice and friendly.
HOWEVER, the condition of the property needs improving. The room didnt have a working mini fridge. Both of them were broken. The safe didn't work either. The window was not attached to the wall with screws, so bugs were always in the room. the bathrooms were entirely too small. It would have been better to just make one large bathroom instead of 2. In one bath the sick in on your lap when you are sitting on the toilet.
If they would paint and fix up the place just a little bit it would be a GREAT hotel.

A nice stay in Istanbul

We recently stayed here on a trip to Istanbul while traveling with a baby, <1 yr old. While the hotel room size was small, the service was informative, helpful and a positive part to our stay. Problem With The Wall

When we arrived late at night at the Sirkeci Park Hotel we were told there was a problem with the room. When we asked 'what problem?' we were told there was a problem with the walls. When we asked 'what problem with the walls?' we were told they were damp because of the rain. The streets at the time were bone dry. We were offered alternative accommodation in a hotel round the corner. It turned out to be a kind of back-packer hostel. There were three beds in the room, hardly any space to stand up and the narrow window looked out onto the fire escape. We phoned expedia and they arranged for us to transfer to another four star hotel nearby, which rescued the situation but cost us a lot in phone calls. We would not recommend the Sirkeci Park to anyone arriving late in Istanbul..

Helpful staff, great location

This hotel is within a few minutes walk of the main tourist attractions. Reception was manned 24 hours a day and they were always very helpful. Buffet breakfast is a good standard and plentiful.

The rooms are a little small and a bit dated, but the other points above outweighed that, in our view.

Great Location!

The location is superb. Near Gulhane tram station (great access to other attractions) and Sirkeci Underground train (for traveling to Asia side of Istanbul - Uskudar). Walking distance to all attractions in Istanbul (Old City). Breakfast food was great! The taste and variety make you enjoy your breakfast and make a good start for your day. Room is small and only suitable for two person. But it is clean and well maintained.

Recep the concierge was amazing. He helped me with a flight issue that I could not have resolved myself. My flight was to leave prior to breakfast service, so they had mine ready at 5:15 am and I was to leave at 5:45am. The room was small, but I did not go to Istanbul to stay in the room. It was clean, comfortable, working wifi in the room, good ac.... Etc. etc.. No complaints.. Finally he hotel is so centrally located, convenient to all the surrounding attractions.

Perfect hotel for a perfect trip!

My husband randomly chose this hotel after my sister-in-law and I spent weeks going back-and-forth trying to pick a hotel in a city we did not know. In the end it was all we had hoped for and more! The location was fabulous, we were walking distance to all the main attractions. multiple modes of public transportation were also very close, with the Gulhane tram stop at the end of the block. The staff was fabulous, they were extremely friendly, helpful, and really went above and beyond. anytime we asked for suggestions for restaurants or shopping they provided multiple options and would give us Maps with notes to help us find them. The hotel itself was fabulous, it was clean, well cared for, and tastefully decorated.

I have to say that I was quite disappointed in my fellow Americans while reading their bad reviews complaining of small room sizes and lack of space. I do not think it is fair to the hotel to give poor ratings based on room size when that is normal there. While the rooms are much smaller than we are used to in American hotels, this is the norm in old cities. room 501 was adequate space for my husband and I, our three large suitcases, and two carry-ons. room 504 was adequate space for my sister-in-law, her husband, their nine-year-old, and their four-year-old. ours was a double and theirs was a triple.

also, the free breakfast was great! they had a wide variety of Turkish cheeses and breakfast meats, both scrambled and boiled eggs, different bread choices (including the famous simits) and other items like tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant…there were also several sweet choices, fresh fruit, and even some cereal. as an added bonus anytime we sat in the lobby we were offered Turkish tea or coffee with Turkish delight completely complementary!

one thing to note is that the elevator (clearly a more recent add to the what must be old building) only goes to the fourth floor. We were on the fifth floor and did not have any issues walking up and down one short flight of stairs to get to the elevator (except with the stroller for the four-year-old) The staff carried all of our luggage up and down for us, that was not an issue. so, if you have trouble with stairs, ask for something on the fourth floor or lower.

overall, I would recommend this hotel to anybody in a heartbeat and when I get to go back to Istanbul,I will be staying there again!

Dissapointing and run down

Arrived late to find we had no access to our bathroom(broken lock)We were moved to the room next door which was tiny with nowhere to unpack.Next day got moved again to a twin room which was larger and liveable but was overlooking the street and very noisy.Lots of late night coming and going also prevented a good nights sleep.Loose taps ,missing shelves and skirting boards gave a run down feel.On positive side the rooms were clean and serviced well and the staff were friendly and accommodating.More suitable for backpackers than a mature couple like us.Another plus point very close to major tourist attractions and surrounded by restaurants.

Greay Location but rooms are small

The rooms are quite small. I booked for 2 adults 2 kids and they put a single bed against the build in wardrobes so after day of living out of suitcase on floor decided to move hotels. I must say though staff were great and did their best to find us a better room but as 4 of us was not suitable.. The location is great to see major sites such as topkapi, blue mosque, hagia sofia. Breakfast are was small too.

Central hotel close to sights

The hotel was perfectly situated for all the main attractions in istanbul. The Hagia Sophia, blue mosque, bosphorous and grand bazaar are all within walking distance.

The room was small but cosy and clean . The shower room however was very small and the shower rail and tap falling off its hinges. The shower also did not drain properly so we were showering in 2 inch of water all the time .

Unfortunately we had the room facing quite a busy street so it definitely was not quiet at night. The staff however were unfailing polite, however forgot our wake up call at 5am for our flight on departure day.

Overall a good hotel for the price paid in a central location. The shower and noise at night stopped it from being a truly excellent stay.

Friendly staff, close to Mosque's/sights and clean

I would stay there again. The room was larger than expected, the people spoke English and were very helpful. The buffett breakfast was fresh and had a huge variety of things from cereal to toast to cooked sausages and eggs to healthier salads, yoghurt, and local Turkish breakfast dishes. The location is great, close to Gulhain subway stop which you can take from/to airport.

Great people - not so great room

Everyone at Sirkeci Park was wonderful, however the hotel is older and offers just the bare basics. My bed was incredibly hard and my shower head was broken, making showering an act of patience and yoga. The location is great. I would come here if you get a deal on a room and are going for cheap price in a central place, but not if you're looking for comfort.

Excellent location in historical district.

Hotel is centrally located for all the point of interest, Gulhane Park, Eminonu Pier, Topkapi Place, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Spice(Egyptian Bazar), Mehmet Pasha Bazar, Tram station, and lot more in walking distance. Specially after couple of days found most of the back roads and short cuts. Plenty of food shops, pharmacy, small supermarket is within walking distance. Staff friendly and quick to resolve the issues and requests. Can arrange taxi, shuttle or air port transfer. Turkish breakfast and lots of it. Room extremely small but very clean. Outstanding bed/beds for good night rest. Good for stay and visit the sights all day. User friendly transportation very close.

Great location!

The hotel is atbwalking distance from all must-see sights! The people at the front desk and cafeteria were so kind and always trying to make us feel comfortable. The only problem were the size of the rooms! Too little! When we open the bathroom's door the room door was blocked! The room had only one night stand, the other side of the bed was against the wall. The air conditioner was great!

noise was a big factor

This is a charming boutique hotel close to most of the really popular sites. I hated the room at the beginning of my sty due to the overwhelming noise. There is a beautiful marble stair case that is open and with big mouths the sound carries (as if amplified) from the lobby all the way to the 4th floor. Not to mention the door slammers!! The doors closed quite well by simply pulling them closed but I had to endure extremely frequent door slamming throughout the night - as late as 3am. I sleep with ear plugs and the air conditioner on to filter these noises and I was awakened - REPEATEDLY!!!

Sleepless in Istanbul

The location of this hotel was great as it was convenient to all the sights. Other than that it was probably the noisiest hotel in all of Istanbul...traffic, loud voices and foot traffic through the walls and floors, slamming doors all going on into the wee hours of the morning, actually, all night long. Add to this rock hard beds, construction going on and a cold staff and you get the picture. The rate was fine but the staff at the neighboring Hotel Agan was more helpful and we aren't staying there until our return to Istanbul next week. Also, don't rely on photos...they aren't even close to accurate. As a note, I have travelled alot (20+ countries) and have stayed in some less than perfect places by a long shot. I've never given a bad review before but if you expect to be able to sleep this isn't the hotel for you. You would do just as well to wander the streets of Istanbul all night and save your money...just a thought ( : I will be giving a great review to the Canberra Hotel in Selcuk, though. They are wonderful here! Wish we were staying longer with Savas and his family.

Istanbul Vacation - Sirkeci Hotel!

I’ll be moving through this by not dawdling and covering the key points here….
The room had the amenities as advertised and the pictures are accurate, just be mindful that the room you see may here may be the one that is like super small, but enough for what you need. The room had a fridge, a 22” television with basic + a pseudo premium cable package, good heating, water pressure, hot water and a secure room. The only thing you need to get comfortable with is bathrooms may show some signs of the caulk mildew in them, this is a frequent found situation in the under $100 rooms, and it is more an issue of the fact that there is a lot of moisture in the air in Istanbul. Not a picky issue for me as I have read it might be for certain Four Seasons Hotel expecting types and the fact that we had a slow to refill flushing toilet that I am sure got fixed after our trip. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and was not of the some hotels in Turkey that serve you a single fixed plate of essentially just what fits on an 11” plate – minus any refills.
The location is right near the tram, busses, the blue and Hagia Soffia mosques, Topkapi palace, the cisterns, and via tram or a little walking if you are cool with it, 15 – 20 min away from the grand and spice bazaar and the bridge to go to Karakoy. The rates were good and we cannot complain.

The only good thing is the location

Hotel staff were not very friendly and helpful. Comparing other hotels in the neighborhood for the same price, room and breakfast were not up to the same standard. Also, the hotel is very noicy in the night with people screaming and doors slamming. You can definitely find more price worthy hotels in the area.

Everything about the hotel was great except for the fact that our rooms airconditioning did not work well. They were great and moved us to another room where the air did work but could not accommodate us for the balance of the week with a room with working air conditioning. Too bad as we had only the one night and then had to move to another hotel otherwise great staff, great location etc...

Great Hotel, Great Location close to everything !!

Everything about this hotel is excellent, starting from the clean rooms and ending with the vast breakfast. Although I did not consider it a big negative, the small size of the room might deter some. Other than that there is not a single negative thing. The location is 5-15 min walk from almost any important site in istanbul.

Good things first: I could not imagine a better location! Some of the biggest highlights (Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Spice market) are in less than 10 minutes walking distance. You can't beat that! Even though the hotel is so central, it is surprisingly quiet. The hotel itself has good service and a great breakfast buffet with a good mix of turkish specialties and international foods. The room we were in was for sure the tiniest hotel room I have ever seen. Even though it was so small, there was enough space for air conditioning, satellite TV, a small fridge and a safe. The bathroom was the only real disappointment. It was also tiny and has seen a lot better days.

Sirkeci Park Hotel - pros and cons

The hotel has a very friendly og serviceminded staff: When arriving very early the first morning they offered breakfast even though I hadn't checked in yet. The breakfast was varied with a lot of Turkish dishes. They also made reservation for me to a dervish ceremony in a culture center nearby, and escorted me down there. The location of the hotel is also great with the neighborhood including Gülhane Park, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia.

The negative aspect regarding the hotel was primarily the size of the room: It was small - as in TINY. If you were a big framed person you would have serious problems getting into the shower in the the toilet! And there was no windows to the outside which gave the room an extra claustrophobic quality. I was promised a discount when I was checking in because it was not the room I ordered to begin with, but I later found out that I had paid the full prize:-(

All in all I will recommend the hotel: Just eat a lot of the good breakfast and make use of the staffs advise and knowledge about the sights in the city - and stay as little as possible in the room.

this hotel is nothing fancy, but was very clean and the staff was very accomodating. great location with a tram stop at the end of the street and the tourist sights 5 minutes away. they also have a pretty incredible breakfast buffet every morning. rooms are tight, but fine for couples on a budget. i would reccommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel

The hotel was in a great location. Only a few minutes walk to the major attractions (Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, etc.) and to the Bosphorus Strait (which allows east access to the other side by ferry). Easily accessible by the tram or the train and many restaurants to choose from. There were also a good number of shops if you want to pick up a few trinkets.

Our major complaint is that the room was tiny. The majority of the room was taken up by the bed; we barely had room for our luggage! However, it was clean and the staff was helpful.

good value for the money

My wife and I stayed four nights at this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near major tourist attractions and within a walking distance from the Sirkeci train station, the tram (Gulahne stop on the T1 line,) the ferries, and the Grand Bazaar. The room we stayed in was rather small, but it was adequate and clean. The rate was very reasonable for that location and it included standard Turkish breakfast. The personnel was professional and friendly. The place offers no frills but it is adequate for someone who spends the whole day sightseeing and needs only a reasonable place to sleep and shower.

When we checked in, the room was not ready; I saw some hair on the floor, found the trash can full (found used condoms inside), the room was smoky, etc. People here are very nice and accommodating, and it seems like it's a family-owned hotel. The breakfast was included and was supposed to be ready at 7am, but when we went down to the breakfast room around 7:30, nothing was ready. The heater was not working, some lamps were missing, just wires sticking out and an empty hole where the lamps were supposed to go. The window was broken, so it didn't seal and cold air came in and without a working heater. The room was cold. We went on an excursion for a couple of days and left our baggages, but they were left in the lobby, which didn't seem secure.

Otelin konumu müthiş, bu paraya bukadar. Otel zaten yatmadan yatmaya. Sultanahmet hemen yakinda eminönü meydani yakinda marmaray hatti hemen arka sokakta daha ne olsun.

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war leider mit erheblichen Problemen verbunden. In einem der gebuchten Zimmer funktionierte die Toilettenspülung drei Tage lang überhaupt nicht. Unter diesen Umständen war das Zimmer praktisch unbrauchbar, da ein Mitreisender gezwungen war, sein Geschäft auf öffentlichen Toiletten außerhalb des Hotels zu verrichten.

Das Hotelpersonal wurde mehrfach auf das Problem hingewiesen – ohne jegliche Sprachbarriere, da ich fließend Türkisch spreche. Trotzdem wurde nichts unternommen, um den Mangel zu beheben. Unsere Beschwerden wurden lediglich aufgenommen, aber konsequent ignoriert.

Eine Entschuldigung oder gar eine Entschädigung wurde zu keinem Zeitpunkt angeboten, obwohl die Beeinträchtigung gravierend war. Unter diesen Umständen erwarte ich eine angemessene Erstattung für das betroffene Zimmer, das faktisch nicht nutzbar war.

Fazit:
Ein Hotel, das nicht auf berechtigte Beschwerden reagiert und grundlegende Mängel ignoriert, kann ich keinesfalls weiterempfehlen. Der Umgang mit Gästen war enttäuschend – Kulanz und Kundenservice Fehlanzeige.

Un hotel bien calidad precio, con decoración y arquitectura típica del país, no esperes un establecimiento moderno, pero de eso se trataba descubrir el país en todos los aspectos. El personal de recepción, catering y limpieza de 10. Nos ayudaron en todo, el transporte al aeropuerto, tarjeta sim para el teléfono .... excursión. En fin, estaban prestos a colaborarnos en todo.El desayuno fantástico y todo fresco. Desde el hotel fuimos caminando a todos sitios y regresamos caminando a las tantas de la madrugada, zona super segura y concurrida. En fin , nuestra estancia en familia fue estupenda. Cómo punto negativo es que las habitaciones son un poco pequeñas, por lo demás todo muy bien.
