Dirty and smelly bathroom and toilet

There were issues with the plumbing if the bathroom and toilet and therefore there was a terrible smell in the room. When the reception was informed about the issue they did not offer an alternative room or even tried to fix the problem. Instead they responded to the complain: \"if you do not like it, you can leave without any refund\"

Ongoing horrible noise, avoid this month

Horrible noise and was told about it only after I paid. It will be ongoing for a month at least. Location is ok but you can get same or better for same price or less.
inefficient house keeping, no massage centre, just a freelancer from outside who is too old and do not keep appointment, was suppose to arrive in 5 minutes and when I checked after one hour was told not available and the receptiin did not bother to tell me.
Most of the staff do not speak English.
room relatively small and furniture is a bit old. Poor lighting.
Spots on towels. High pillows.

We finished our 10 day stay in Turkey with 2 nights here, and we really liked it. They had the best breakfast spread of any hotel we stayed in, the staff was friendly, the hotel was beautiful, and the shower was roomy and excellent.
The only thing that was off about the room was the design of the room included a padded, recessed alcove clearly meant to fit the queen size bed in the room. However, the owners apparently decided to cram one more twin bed into the room, so they moved the queen bed flush against one wall, the twin bed flush against the window, thus making the alcove look empty and useless.
That said, we loved the place, and would stay there again.

I booked a room for 3 peoples and I was offered double standard bed with 3 meter by 3 meters space room where you can just sleep only one person there is no more room and also shower and toilets shared with other gust

The hotel is old and has construction next to it. The room are not well insulated so you can hear what others are doing.
If your room is on the first floor there is no elevator....

Convenient place to stay in Istanbul

This is convenient place to stay in Istanbul. It's a short walk to Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, and the Bascilica Cistern in one direction and the Spice Market and tour boat docks in the other. There are great restaurants within a few hundred feet and a market on the corner. The tram station is a couple of blocks away. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are helpful. The only complaint was breakfast, which was the most disappointing of any place we've stayed.

Avoid this hotel

Overall the hotel is nice but the hotel manager is definitely sexist. Usually I'm insensitive of this kind of thing and I know in a Muslim country things like that can be common, but I never felt it during my 2-week travel in Istanbul. Initially I thought communication breakdowns were to account for a few unpleasant incidents that arose one by one. However my husband had a hunch that it was because the manager has different treatment towards women. And it turned out my husband was right. As long as communication with the manager was carried out by my husband (instead of me as in the previous cases), everything was perfectly fine.

As for hotel facilities, budget room 502 is ok, budget room 505 is bad and superior room 202 is worst. Yes, we stayed in three different rooms during our stay due to the communication breakdowns I just mentioned! Overall nothing is special about this hotel except you get one time free use of hamam for every three nights of stay. Yet, the hamam provided was again nothing special.

A word of caution, if you are sensitive of sexism and it makes you feel uncomfortable, avoid this hotel. Even if you are not, let your husband or boyfriend make any requests and deal with the manager if needed to save any possible hassle.

Hiç hiyjenik değildi, pisti. Temiz diye koydukları havluda yemyeşil sümük vardı, lavaboda aynı şekildeydi. Oda sigara kokuyordu. Tavanı basık penceresi kalorifer boşluğuna bakan berbat bir yerdi. Odalar asla fotoğraftaki gibi değil. Ödediğim 200 küsür lirayi asla haketmiyorlar. Tek iyi yanı kahvaltısıydı.

L établissement est extrêmement bien placé et proche de toute commodité.
Notre chambre etait vétuste. Plafond abîmé par un dégât des eaux.
Nous avons du solliciter plusieurs fois pour que le ménage qui n a même pas ete fait.
Juste refait le lit et mis des serviettes.
Nous avons du descendre plusieurs fois réclamer de papiers toilette et des gobelets etc... des petits trucs qui gâchent un peux le séjour.
Quand au petit déjeuner le buffet était tres pauvre .Pas de fruit ....pas de jus d orange...au moin la base .
Hôtel décevant.

Жили в номере, окно которого упиралось в стену, точнее до нее было около полуметра, отличный пейзаж в общем. Но это всё ерунда, по сравнению с тем, что откуда-то снизу по вечерам и ночью шел гул труб. Поскольку при закрытых окнах спать невозможно, а с открытым все гудит, то ночи выдались не спокойные.
Не весь персонал хорошо говорит по-английски, но тем не менее пытается помочь.
Из + расположение и хорошие завтраки.

Das Personal ist hilfsbereit und freundlich. Vorallem der Service beim Frühstück ist hervorragend. Aber leider ist das Hotel alles andere als Sauber. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein. Das Bett ist unbequem und die Bettwäsche Kratzig. Im Badezimmer ist überall schimmel. Daher hatte das Zimmer auch einen üblen Geruch. Ich habe mich nicht getraut ohne schlappen in die Dusche zu steigen. Alles in allem ist es mehr ein Motel als ein Hotel, in sehr zentraler Lagen aber in einem sehr schlechten Zustand. Zudem ist es auch Verhältnismäßig teuer.

Lage ist super, zimmer zu dunkel blick auf seitenwand vom nebenGebäude ! Besser ein paar Euro mehr investieren und ne Suite buchen. Suites sind viel viel besser was ich nur von außen sehen konnte.
Betten Matratzen extrem weich wahrscheinlich abgenutzt , denke mal wird zeit für neue. Frühstück ist sehr gut!!!

Im Rahmen eines Städtetrips ist man so oder so die wenigste Zeit im Hotel, daher eignet sich das Diamond Royal Hotel perfekt. Zudem liegt es sehr geschickt, d.h. fußläufig ist vieles erreichbar und die Metro nahezu vor der Tür.

Odanın tavanı çok engindi genel olarak sevsek de bu durum bizi zorladı. Jacuzzi kirliydi içinden sürekli parçalar püskürüyordu, üç dört defa temizlemeye çalışsak da olmadı. Şirin bir otel karşılaması güzel, bir şeyler yapmaya çalışıyorlar; düzgün düzenli olmasına ama yeterli değil. Odamız nırmal büyüklükteydi ama diğer odaları da gördük, sadece yatmak için gidlecekse tercih edilebilir cinsten. Çok küçüklerdi.

Yanlış oda verildi sonra değiştirildi. Yatak berbattı yatağın ortası çökmüştü, oda kötü kokuyordu, duş aparatı kırıktı, üst katın yürüme seslerini çok rahat duyuyorsunuz. Mini Bardakı suya bile para alıyorlar.

Kurztrip Instanbul Oktober 2015:

Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer dass sehr klein und eng war und der
Blick aus dem Zimmer war auf die Hauswand des Nachbargebäudes.
Das Fenster konnte man auch nicht öffnem, da im Hinterhof ständig
ein Gebläse eingeschaltet war.

wir waren 3 frauen für 5 nächte in diesem hotel sehr angenehm und gemütlich und sehr zentral.Alles war perfekt.Personal war superfreundlich und in jeder hinsicht sehr hilfsbereit, zimmer war sehr sauber.würde es aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen...

Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragens.

Viele der Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fussläufig zu erreichen. Kleine Restaurants in unmittelbarer Umgebung .
Das Zimmer, das wir in der Ankunftsnacht erhielten, war winzig. Allenfalls als Einzelzimmer nutzbar. Auf unsere Beschwerde hin sagte man uns, wir hätten eben nur ein Economyzimmer gebucht.
Gegen einen Aufpreis von 10 € pro Person und Nacht erhielten wir für die weiteren Nächte des Aufenthalts ein nettes Zimmer.

Wir hatten 5 Tage in diesem Hotel gebucht. Es waren sehr schöne Tage in Istanbul. Gern kommen wir wieder in diese Stadt, jedoch nicht mehr in das Hotel. Der angebotene nicht gerade preiswerte Spa-Bereich sieht zwar schön aus, aber der Service ist überhaupt nicht gut. Die Dame spricht kein Englisch, so wurde uns zumindest gesagt. Wenn man noch nie in einem Hamam war, ist es schwierig, da die Dame nichts erklärt und man dann dort sitzt und nicht weiss was man tun soll. Die Massage war so schlecht und fast gewaltsam. Eine Beschwerde hat aber nur Lächeln der Chefs hervorgebracht. Die Hellhörigkeit der Zimmer ist so extrem, dass man das Gefühl hat, man teilt sich das Zimmer mit seinem Nachbarn. Die Zimmergröße ist sehr klein und wirkt auf den Bildern im Netz viel größer,aber man befindet sich ja nicht lange im Zimmer, so dass das schon ok ist.

A long weekend in Istanbul: very good stay!

We spent beautiful days in this Hotel. The location was perfect, close to historical attractions and tram, and Staff was amazing! Only 3 min to Tram and walking distance to main touristic attractions. Breakfast was international and open until 10.30! We also had a free entrance in the wellness area. Economy Double room was little but very comfortable with Mini Bar and toilet equipments. They also spoke Italian! Lovely!
