I stayed 2 nights at Erboy Hotel on my first visit to Istanbul. I chose it because of its great location, walking distance to the main attractions in the old town and about 15 minutes to the Galata Tower area.

The hotel was cozy and very clean. My room was small but comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful.

Breakfast was in a small hall with limited variety, but everything I tried tasted good. There are many shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby, which made exploring easy.

Overall, a nice stay with a great location and friendly staff. I would recommend it for a short trip to Istanbul.

If you're looking for the coziest hotel, this hotel is the ONE!

The hotel and the rooms were INCREDIBLE. They were very clean and in very good condition. The staff were so friendly and useful, especially the receptionist and the cleaning lady. Everything was within walkable distance, shops, food, attractions, which made our stay so much easier and fun.

The only thing letting it down ever so slightly was the breakfast, which didn't have much variety but nevertheless, still nice.

Room wasn't ready when we arrived at almost 6pm, we were given the key, and the housekeeper was still making the bed. I had various coffees at the lobby bar, when I paid with card the server refused to give me a copy of the receipt,saying there is no copy. Surprisingly next day I had another coffee and I was given a copy without even ask, different server, very suspicious though

I recently stayed at Erboy Hotel and had a mixed experience overall.
Pros:
    •    The service was generally good, with staff being polite and helpful at the front desk.
    •    The location is excellent — very central and convenient for exploring Istanbul’s main attractions.
    •    The breakfast had a good variety of options and was a nice way to start the day.
Cons:
    •    Room cleaning could have been better. It felt like it wasn’t done thoroughly during the stay.
    •    The hotel restaurant/room service was disappointing. The food didn’t match the menu description, and we were served (and charged for) a meal we didn’t order. The chicken was undercooked (pink inside), and when we tried to explain the issue, the staff didn’t understand due to a language barrier. When we raised it with reception, we were told it wasn’t their responsibility.
    •    The single beds are quite small, which might not be comfortable for everyone.
Overall:
Erboy Hotel has a great location and decent service, but the restaurant experience and room upkeep fell short. If you’re staying here, it might be best to dine out and manage expectations when it comes to room service and cleaning.

My family of 4 stayed at this hotel in the family quadruple suite and we felt it was great. Good facilities, great staff and close to a lot of the main attractions and a tram station (Gulhame). Restaurant upstairs on the terrace is a good place to have dinner after a long day of exploring the sites! Highly recommend

The building is clean. Rooms are reasonably sized for Sultanahmet area. It is walking distance to Hagia Sofia and Sultanahmet as well as Eminönü and Egyptian Bazaar.

Staff were a mixed bunch. One who checked us in was courteous, the rest were unhelpful and in fact downright rude. Breakfast was meh. They charged us for a water bottle.

Given the many options available in the area I doubt I would stay here again.

Erboy Hotel, Istanbul

This recently opened hotel boasts a convenient location and a generally clean environment. The restaurant service staff and room service personnel are commendable for their helpfulness. However, the reception and administrative staff exhibit the opposite attitude. Notably, guests who check in at night may be assigned the least desirable rooms (e.g., my room 401or the previous 502), with promises of a room change the next morning that are not honored.

This practice reflects poorly on the hotel's reputation, as it contrasts with the customary practice in many hotels of upgrading a guest's room during their first visit to create a positive impression and encourage repeat business. Unfortunately, Erboy Hotel seems indifferent to the guest experience, particularly for those who book through third-party platforms like Expedia. In contrast, guests who pay in cash appear to receive superior service.

Based on my experience, I will not be returning to Erboy Hotel in the future.

The hotel was okay, it was clean but the actual facility of bathroom were rather poorer then expected, shower too small, shower doors didn’t close properly, the door to the bathroom was made up off mirror in chipboard type frames and not pleasant. Very little storage for clothes. Breakfast was rather poor, very limited choice, it was very basic. Staff smoking on corridors, could spell it all the time. Not worth the price tag.

First of all, I would like to say that the staff was brilliant and everyone was so kind. In terms of the room, it's very cosy and comfortable. Not the biggest room but it was still very spacious for 2 people.

The location is excellent, all main sites are closeby with ATMs very close to the hotel.

The breakfast buffet isn't the best in terms of selections but it's alright. It would be great if the hotel could offer an ironing board and iron for the room instead of just laundry service.

They are not happy with you and treat you poorly if you do not take breakfast with them.
They pressured us to buy New Year dinner with them. Their offers are often pricey and not worth the money; just like their breakfast- low class

When requesting the utilities mentioned, they would give excuses saying no key, give tomorrow etc

When asked they said they can get you another taxi (they charge 50 Euros for the trip)
They were rude; unkind and made our stay difficult. Very unprofessional. Mostly men. The manager was a woman who was so incompetent and weak. She got nothing resolved. Things only worsened after we complained to Expedia.

This hotel is located in a very good location, near to the main tourist attractions. Metro, train and ferry terminals are in walking distance to the hotel along with a good variety of restaurants, shops and takeaways.

Had a room booked for a week with two single bed at this hotel. This room was decent in size. Rooms were clean and cleaned daily by the lovely lady. The beds in the room were found to be uncomfortable for me and my friend. Hard, extra stiff mattresses made getting a good nights sleep difficult. The single beds are on the small size, with my feet sticking out the bed (I’m 6ft). Beds moved very easily due to the laminate flooring in the rooms.

We had paid for breakfast at this hotel which I feel was a mistake. Poor quality of food and variety. I have stayed in Istanbul hotels offering free breakfasts with better quality and variety therefore was disappointed having paid extra for this level of breakfast.

The staff were friendly and warm, always acknowledging you on entering and exiting the hotel. However I was left bemused on checking out when the staff failed to open the door whilst I juggled two suitcases and a bag. I was most disappointed at this.

I had arranged a transport service with the hotel. Paid with a combination of euros and GBP on checking in but when paying for the airport transfer in advance of checking out was told GBP is not accepted, some consistency lacking.

Overall this could be a good hotel with some changes.

Erboy Hotel in Istanbul was a very nice hotel to stay at. The Guest Relations Manager, Egle was very friendly and helpful. She also responded to all e-mails prior to our stay with complete answers. The only sad part was that she was off work for 2 days during our visit. This hotel is very clean and modern at a reasonable price. Everyone at the Reception desk speaks English (Egle also speaks Russian). The hotel is at a great location in the historic area of Istanbul where many tourist attractions can be walked to. I highly recommend Erboy Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul on a smaller budget but still requires a quality hotel. Our rooms had refrigerators which is very nice to store cold snacks. The TV worked great. The only complaints I have are minor: the floor of my room could have used a more thorough vacuum before checking in. The elevator is tiny so you might have to wait your turn in line to use it. This hotel offers breakfast, but breakfast is not included with the price of the room. The view across the street out of the room windows from the higher floors of the hotel is unusual.

The staff here couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful.
Location was fantastic. We were able to walk to the Blue mosque, Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. The Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Spice market shopping areas were also close by.
A little farther afield was Independence Ave with its modern shopping.
Restaurants were nearby. The restaurant recommended as low cost good food was as advertised. We actually went there twice.
Amenities were lacking by North American standards but we were too busy to care. The only amenity we used was the rooftop bar where we kicked back and had a cold one while deciding what to do next.
No one in our group of eight had any negative comments.

The Erboy Hotel is properly located if you want to have a walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Cistern Basilica and Topkapi Palace, approximately 10min walk.
The area seems quiet and safe. Restaurants are also within vicinity. It is also near the Tram Station though we did not ride.
Finally staff are friendly and helpful. The included breakfast buffet is delicious as well.

The location is perfect for first-time Istanbul visitors, and the rooftop bar/restaurant offers glimpses of the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Galata Tower. The food at the rooftop was good. Breakfast was OK. Staff was stupendous — very helpful and patient. Walked me through step-by-step how I would need to navigate public transportation and politely saved me from a disastrous mistake with a rental car. The room was safe, clean, and comfortable.

A solid, excellent all-round choice. The hotel is ideally placed in the Sultanahmet location on a side street so is handy for the Hagia Sophia etc - they’re within easy walking distance.

The Erboy is modern and clean, my room was small but quiet (6th floor and away from the side street), there’s the standard buffet breakfast as an option, a bar downstairs and a basic roof terrace.

Staff were efficient, helpful and friendly.

I’d stay there again with no hesitation.

This hotel is in a quite street bit very central, only 10 mins walk to Blue Mosque and Topkapi place or 3 mins on the tram which is 100 yds at the end of the street.

The hotel itself is clean with a nice continental breakfast and staff are both helpful and pleasant.

All the rooms are large with a decent size bathroom and mini fridge. Our party stayed in a family room, triple room and double room , all were of the same quality and high standard.

You will not be disappointed with this hotel or its location - Highly recommend !

Me and my family stayed at Erboy Hotel for 7 nights and it was absolutely incredible. The hotel has been newly renovated so everything looked lovely and clean. The receptionist staff and cleaners were so friendly and helpful. The location is ideal, the hotel is on a street with nice shops directly opposite. And it's only a quick tram ride or walk to Sultanahmet. I would highly recommend this hotel. We are already planning a stay at Erboy Hotel again soon!

The staff of this hotel could not do enough for us. Even though we arrived at 10:00 AM they had a room available for us. We told them that we needed to find a place to get a covid test and they called to have someone come to the hotel to perform the test. While we were waiting for that the guest relations person spent 20 minutes with us talking about the hotel and things we could see and do. We told them that we had to leave before breakfast in the morning and they arranged for snack boxes for us. They arranged for the car to take to the airport in the morning.

All of this for an extremely reasonable price.

Oh and by the way, the hotel is very near to all of the top sites.

Thankyou very much to all of the hotel staff for such wonderful service.

Once hotel had pur moneh, they didnt care about the service they provided. Some were rude and not accommodating. They didnt have an iron but had a iron service they used. When collecting, they increased the price because the dress we gave was long even though i had mentioned this prior, though our clothes came back just as creased as we gave. Then they had the cheek to say its the fabric and because it creased in luggage. I iron better yet theyre the professionals. Also many members of staff were rude because we complained about the ironing service. Felt very unwelcome and as if they wanted us out of there asap! Will not be staying there again, nor will i recommend it to anyone!

A trip to remember

As we go to istanbul we were dreaming about visitig this amazing historical city and our visit was nothing less than we expected we enjoyed the genius ocation of the hotel in the heart of the old city , the staff here were so friendly and helpful with everything they really made our stay to be so comfortable . We enjoyed their amazing breakfast with their generousity and dedication. Of course if we will be back to Istanbul we would like to stay here again . The only drawbacks was the cold water in the toilet seat and there was no hot dryer for the wet towel to dry in the bathroom.

We stayed at ERBOY for a month and loved it. It is a tourist hotel at an excellent location. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and spacious. The breakfast was good and generous. But, the nicest thing about it were the staff. Every single person in this establishment went out of their way and beyond to help us. The young lady at the reception was kind and extremely helpful as was Mr. Menderes.
I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel has been recently renovated and everything is quite new and in top condition. The location is great for some of the 'must-see' attractions and tram transportation is easily accessible just steps away from the hotel. The hotel had a concierge on to meet us and was available for directions and suggestions of how to navigate the city. She spoke excellent English.
The only reason for not giving it five smiles was the fact the rooms with two single beds in are quite small.

Fabulous

The lady at the reception and the restaurant team including manager (breakfast area) were just amazing. The cleaning lady was super! A little disappointed with the terrace closure as I booked this hotel specifically to enjoy the view.

Very nice stay

The stay was amazing. Everything was clean, the staff is very very polite, careful and they always asked if we had any questions to help. Güven, the night receptionist had good data about hammas (turkish baths) and has been always attentive to our needs.

If you're looking a nice, calm, center place to stay, this is your place.

Also the breakfast was very good. A little fancy, but it honored so far a 3 star hotel.

Happy to booked here.

It was good until the receiption man order a taxi for me, he told me its fix price for 300tl, but actually he gave the taxi driver just 150 and he stole the other 150, be carefull guys
