The hotel was in the middle of maintenance.
sent me reminders about my upcoming stay, none of which mentioned the entrance and reception was closed so we wandered around in the dark trying to get in. they put little to no effort into overcoming the issues around maintenance work & met several guests wandering round wondering where things were and how to get to things. oh and a light fitting fell off, but I couldn't be bothered to go through the hassle of complaining.

The hotel rooms were basic for what i thought was supposed to be a higher end hotel chain.
Breakfast room was too packed and difficult to find a table. Inadequate number of staff on duty in there. Chef seemed unwilling to make omletes and when it came out it looked like scrambled eg

Such a great hotel in the right spot, in one of my favorite towns in europe. My 3rd stay here this year, had a low grade room this time, other than the couple next door having the session of their life, it was great. all you need, well appointed, staff are very helpful, parking is easy, access to town is effortless. Will return again for sure

Positives: Location excellent - right next to large shopping area and many restaurants! Stunning Sky Lounge, beautiful to have a drink overlooking the city at night. Rooms were modern with every need catered for.

Suggested areas for improvement - Shower grout discoloured. I find charging for a bottle of water in a hotel room to be excessive (personal opinion) many hotels provide this for free.

Overall - Excellent stay, Location made it for us - but room was lovely and comfortable too so well done to all at Radisson Blu - we would def recommend

The staff is very accommodating. Hotel is situated towards the ring around city center. You can walk across the center in about 15 minutes. Close to multiple restaurants and bars. The Sky Bar staff is very good and they also have good food. If we come back to Hasselt we will stay there again.

I was stuck in the lifts 2 times. My room did not have a view. And the Air conditioning in the room was not working. Also we had an event in the hotel and projector was not working. No sound etc etc. We had so much disruptions and our guests complained. I would be grateful for a refund plesse.

This is a large hotel in the centre of Hasselt. Check in and check out were slow as they one had one desk open. The strange lifts (you select the floor from outside the lift) were slow, maybe as one of the three was out of service.
The room itself was OK, but nothing special. The lighting in the room was poor.
Breakfast was OK, fairly standard for chain hotels in Belgium.
Dinner was poor, mechanical unfriendly staff, slow service and bland food
I'll choose a different hotel next time

I booked the Radisson Blue expecting a higher level of quality than its adjoining sister Park Inn. I don't think I'll be returning.

The room was not, as the gentleman at check-in told me, a quiet one. The location of the bathrooms bordering on the next room's sleeping area make that a light sleeper will wake up if their neighbor has a small bladder or decides to take a 20-minute shower at 6am.

The room in general was noisy. From not knowing if someone was knocking on my door or a neighbor's to the enthusiastic couple with the terribly squeaky mattress that loved nooners, nighters and 2am'ers, plenty of entertainment.

For a person with back issues, the mattress was very uncomfortable, just too hard to make it through the night.

A last small point of irritation, and this seems to be a Belgian thing, the hotel assumes their guests are all clairvoyant. Check-out times are not posted, not mentioned and not on your key-wrap. That handy book that we are so used to that tells us when check out is, where the lounge and restaurant are, if there is laundry service, how to order room service or which number to call for help, is simply non-existent. When asked about it, I was told \"Oh yeah, we don't have those anymore\".

I'm sure the hotel has a lovely bar or restaurant, maybe even other amenities, but they make no effort to tell their guests about it.

I would not recommend this hotel, Hasselt has better places to stay, with equally convenient locations.

There are a lot of positives to this hotel. The room had a great view, the front desk staff was friendly, the 18th floor lounge is great. All of this was overshadowed by a perceived lack of cleanliness of the room. First, upon arrival, one side of the bed had been turned down and looked as though someone had taken a nap on it. I looked past this because I wasn't sure if that was the case or if they just have a very unique turn down service. What was more disturbing was a \"clean\" hand towel in the bathroom that appeared to have a blood stain on it. I removed the towel from the rod and left it on the floor for the cleaning staff to pick up the next day, figuring I didn't need it and could use the other. The next day, upon returning to the room, I found that the same towel had been picked up off the floor and re-hung next to my bath towel. This is unacceptable.

Radisson Hasselt weekend

Fantastic weekend at the Radisson. We stayed on the 10th floor and the view was beautiful. The room was spacious and very clean. Very silent to sleep. The roof top bar is very pleasant. Swimming-pool area and sauna were very clean and pleasant. Service was very good and the breakfast was amazing with high quality food and a lot of choice. The hotel is very well located, very close to restaurants and shops.

Disappointing stay

I recently stayed here for two nights and was quite disappointed with the entire experience. When we arrived we were given a twin room even though I had specifically requested a Queen. I went back to the desk and he said unfortunately there was nothing he could do as it was all booked up and they can't guarantee the requests when booked through Expedia. I then went to the room and found all of the sheets and duvet were feather, which I am allergic to, so I tried to call down to the desk to have it changed only to find the phone didn't connect to the desk, it just Beeped as though the line was engaged. In the morning I requested the sheets and pillow be changed at the desk and the assured me it would be done immediately. I had to speak to four different staff members and still nothing happened. By 6:30pm that night the sheets were still not changed so I had to go down and demand it be done immediately. Not something I liked to do. The girl on the desk was finally extremely helpful and called around and made sure it happened while I was there. The next morning on checkout we asked for a taxi as we had to be somewhere by a specific time. They called the taxi for us no problem, but when he arrived someone else went to take our taxi. The taxi driver came in to speak to the desk and they instructed him to take the other passenger first and come back for us. i only found this out because I had to ask the desk ten minutes later where our taxi was. all in all I was very disappointed!

Room quality is very good, and the service was of the highest standard.
There is public underground parking available which is not dedicated to the hotel - cost for overnight was Euros16

The hotel's facilities and room provided a welcoming place to find some R&R after an intense road trip. The pool and sauna in particular were very well maintained and allowed us to sweat out any toxins and enjoy our brief stay at the hotel to the fullest. In fact, this energized us so much we were able to thrust ourselves into the Hasselt nightlife with renewed vigor.

Nice hotel but somehow didn't live up to my expectations for Radisson Blu. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient. The location is central but the entrance is somehow difficult to find. The water pressure in the shower was quite bad for such a good hotel. The fan in the bathroom could not be switched off so there was constant humming from the bathroom which was particularly noticeable at night - it made me feel like I was on an airplane. There were some small lights at the bathroom door which could not be switched off so I had to pull out room key to make them go off! The bed was comfortable and there was free wi-fi was relatively fast.

Pictures advertised do not reflect how the indoor pool or saunas are really like. Steam sauna not working. No towels or water at sauna, not even enough towels in hotel room to use the sauna. Room ventilation broken all night.
Breakfast and parking not included.
Find a better, cheaper place to stay.

Easter weekend break with friends

I was disappointed when I found out a double room was allocated to me upon arrival and specifically I had booked a twin room when travelling with my teenage boy.

It took 35 minutes to check in because there was another guest who need medical advice on treatment. I wonder under the circumstance, the duty staff should have asked for another staff to serve other guests who were waiting to be checked in.

Also we had booked a taxi for an event on Saturday and for whatever reason it did not turn up and we have to re book another one which caused 20 minutes delay.

The pool and gym facilities are excellent.

Faultless Hotel in the Centre of Hasselt

Have stayed in this hotel for a number of years when travelling on business in Hasselt - even though it is now 6 or 7 years since it opened, I am pleased to say that the condition has not altered and is still 'as new'. Hasselt has only a small centre but the Radisson sits above the TT Center, a small shopping centre close to all local amenities. The train station is about a 10 minute walk as is on the periphery of the city centre. Overall, a great hotel in great condition with very comfortable rooms/beds. Will keep staying here!

Paid for a double room prior to arrival - but was given a twin room with single beds Reluctantly staff changed the room. Staff at reception not very friendly and there is now a new rule that you have to leave 50 Euro's behind the receiption desk for the duration of your stay? This is not practice at any other raddison blu hotel i have stayed in. Hairdryer in room - did not work and there was no English Breakfast day - even though i left daily requests for some. Breakfast good - if you could find a cleared table. Lovely hotle and excellent location. Not the standard though of other Raddison Blu hotels i have stayed in.

The Novatel Hasselt would have to have one of the best food and front office services I have experianced for a long time. I travel alot for business through Europe and have stayed in all price bands.

For the money, this is THE best hotels I have stayed in Europe. Nothing is a problem for the staff. We arrived late and missed restaurant service, though they opened a kitchen upstairs, we had bags go missing on the trip, and they located them for us, all without complaint.

The management of this Hotel need to be proud of the Food and Front office team, they are a credit to the property.

Can't imagine a better place in Hasselt

Great hotel, ideal location,every possible convenience,and excellent value. I had the most efficient check in i've ever had with excellent multilingual staff. The room itself was very nice. Large bath in modern bathroom. Good bed with comfy pillows. All the facilities that are commonly lacking in other hotels ie; Tea & coffee, proper iron, hair-dryer, air con, plenty of closet space and a chill out area, along with views of the city. Of and plus free wi-fi, though it was a bit patchy in terms of speeds at times. Quick quiet lifts too (trivial i know but the kind of thing that can be annoying if poor). All in all way better than i expected.
Couple of things that pulled it down a little bit were that the corridors (while no need to spend time there) were too warm and a bit stuffy, and i thought the breakfast room was in need of some organisation. I came back from getting some cereal to find a couple being seated by staff into my warm chair! It was a very busy weekend in the city and there had been a big wedding the night before but basically they don't have the facility to cope with large numbers descending on the breakfast room. No allocated table numbers or whatever to know what's what and just some general confusion in the whole setup here.. contrasting greatly for me with the hotel and the staff service as a whole.
One member of staff was just asking approaching guests their room numbers then telling them they could seat themselves wherever, giving the impression (as is with some hotels) that they would be approached to see if they wanted tea or coffee or whatever with breakfast. It's a buffet so everything was at the buffet. People were sitting down, not knowing if they should go the buffet directly and being left in limbo a bit by the staff. A word of direction as to how they operated breakfast would have saved just about everybody i watched a minute or so of awkward indecision!
The staff in general though were excellent... Very efficient, and listened to and implemented any requests you would have of them. I used the free gym, pool and sauna too. Not particularly luxurious but a nice added facility. I got my Saturday night stay for £50 so really can't imagine better value for money in the heart of Hasselt.

An absolute gem!!!

Hasselt is one of these places that you pass by on the motorway without a second thought. If you are looking for a stopover point close to Brussels, forget Leuven and try Hasselt. The city is interesting and full of good restaurants, cafes and bars and The SAS is an excellent choice of hotel to complement your stopover. Super welcome, nothing is too much trouble, great rooms with nice views from the high floors. Excellent breakfast buffet. Strongly recommended.

Chambre nickel et spacieuse, lit tres confortable, mobilier neuf et super attentions a l'arrivee, Nespresso, fer a repasser de competition, seche cheveux, et bons produits de soin. l'hotel est super bien situe avec un acces direct au parking. tres joli rooftop bar. Le top est le petit dejeuner avec des options sans gluten et fromages vegan. le personnel est super aimable et serviable. j'y retournai les yeux fermes en famille.

problème d'entretien

Aucune demande de changer les serviettes, elles ont été changées tous les jours, il en manquait une le dernier jour.
un roulot de papier WC retrouvé par terre dans la chambre.
manque un joint sur la vitre de la baignoire, du coup les douches inondent la sdb.
la baignoire et le lavabo ne sont jamais lavés.

God modtagelse i receptionen.

Seng, puder og dyner er yderst dårlige.
I gulvet ved badeværelset er der et gult neon lys som ikke kan slukkes, fedt når man skal sove - værst er dog at trykket i bruseren er så lavt at det næsten var umuligt at vaske shampoo ud!

Over het algemeen wel een goede ervaring, nette kamers en stil. Maar qua service en staat van de accomodatie laat de Radisson Hasselt toch wat te wensen over. We vroegen specifiek 2 kamers met aparte bedden, kregen 2 kamers met dubbel bed. Vervolgens van kamer kunnen wisselen, echter werkte in 1 kamer de elektriciteit niet. Dus terug moeten verhuizen naar de initiële kamer. Daar 's avonds laat de onaangename ontdekking gedaan dat er eigenlijk een gigantische bloedvlek op onze matras zat onder de lakens. Bij melding aan de receptie kregen we niet eens een verontschuldiging voor het ongemak. Het \"werd genoteerd\"... jammer.

Mooi, maar .....

Mooi hotel, lekker ontbijt alleen jammer dat niet iedereen de nederlandse taal machtig is.
We vroegen info aan iemand van de rooftopbar en die verstond ons niet. Heel jammer dat je als Vlaming in een Vlaamse provincie niet in het Nederlands kan geholpen worden.
