Overall this hotel did the job but was not as nice as advertised. Older rooms and facilities, $40 per day for parking, highway noise was loud in the mornings. Breakfast was also just a standard cereal/yogurt/toast bar nothing special.

We thought we would be staying at a highly rated hotel, instead we were disappointed when we arrived. First, there were no carts to handle all of our luggage and the staff told us that guests were not returning them and were keeping them in their rooms. Second, the room was small with double beds (full size beds) with poor lighting, the bathroom was also very small with a toilet in a room with the shower.
We chose a room that they indicated was for four guests but two persons could not fit in one bed comfortably. This hotel was very disappointing to us!

The linens and towels were clean and new. The phone didn’t work, there was no way to get. Coke or snack because the cafe closed early, there was a terrible sewer gas smell from the toilet. There was virtually no lighting in the room. And all for $350/night. And then the pool was closed. Great……

Pros: Very near UCLA, staff was nice, bed was quite comfortable, internet was fast enough to stream a movie on my laptop, room was clean, free breakfast (would have preferred more protein, but it was free after all), valet was very quick with my car, reasonable price given how many other hotels nearby are outrageously priced, clearly they use dehumidifiers to keep the humidity level managed (nice for us given we come from a drier climate and aren’t used to the humidity), the staff reached out in advance to see if I had any special requests before arrival

Cons: Next to the freeway and traffic goes all night (we were on the freeway side) - manageable with earplugs or if you are a heavy sleeper; no shower door or curtain so good luck keeping water fully in the shower and it was impossible not to be cold while showering; the toilet paper holder was not stable; no microwave to reheat food we brought with us; BIGGEST complaint…the A/C unit was so loud it sounded like an airplane engine starting up and we were forced to turn off the A/C so that we could sleep without being woken every hour. All other inconveniences were minor compared to that. I really hope they fix/upgrade their units.

Would I stay again? Yep. Would I make sure to have earplugs? Big YEP! Would I prefer them to have a maintenanced/quieter Air conditioner? Giant YEP!!

Staff were very good. Hotel is in a good location near 405 Freeway. Hotel amenities are good. Only drawback is it was loud in the room at night with all the traffic noise from the 405. If you stay at this hotel try to get a room away from the 405, that may help with the noise.

The breakfast is a continental breakfast of just pastries and yogurt. Don’t assume that you will have a full breakfast. It is extra to have eggs and warm food. Also, the parking is $45 a day not $20 credit per day only counts once. If you choose to get food delivery to your room, you have to come down and receive it. They will not permit anyone to bring anything up. Also, if you do have a ton of luggage, you have to carry your own luggage up. There is no one to help you at the front desk.

While the property was well maintained and in a nice area of Los Amgeles it left a lot to be desired. Advertising \"free breakfast\" and selling it as a $20 add on for additional people is a joke. No one would pay $20 for this breakfast, the only hot item was the toast which was heated by a toaster also shared by kitchen staff. Then your choices were fruit, yogurt, or cereal, no protein options (except maybe the yogurt).

Make sure you're very comfortable with the people you're staying with as thr bathroom door is on a slider, not typically a problem but it doesnt latch and has about a half inch gap between the door and the wall (no privacy when needed in the restroom). The shower also had no door on it, wide open so no chance of having a little steam in the shower as it all went out into the bathroom, which went straight into the room... because well the bathroom door doesnt close all the way either.

Staff was great and very friendly but this is not worth the price they're charging.

I really love this hotel. It is so charming and the rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The restaurant is fantastic actually. I'm sad that they got rid of the big free breakfast bar, but you can still order good food off the menu. But it was fun to be able to order eggs anyway you like it from the breakfast bar. The staff is great. They're so helpful and kind. Everything is so clean and decorated very nicely. Not to be too picky, but the pictures in the room are awful.

The staff were super nice and they go above and beyond! The rooms are tiny, which was fine for my trip. We found parking in the neighborhood, $45 a day for valet was not ideal and I didn’t know about it until I showed up. Restaurant was good a bit overpriced. We asked for water that wasn’t tap and they brought us a bottle which was $15, learned my lesson. My biggest complaint is the comp breakfast. No eggs! All I wanted was a good hearty breakfast before two days of work and it was crap cereal, sugary yogurt, bread. I was super disappointed. The area can be a bit loud with the freeway there and party people.

The room was cozy, although there was a balcony, but they locked it, so you can't really go outside or open the door! The only problem I have is that the water wasn't hot enough; it's on the warm side. The hotel is in the middle of the highway, so if you don't drive like me, you are stuck!

The staff here is stellar! My husband was getting medical treatment at UCLA during most of our stay. The front desk, West Restaurant and the valet service took care of me well. Examples: I needed a champagne flute. Not only did West Restaurant give it to me, the glass was chilled. I needed some information and directions to closest tobacco shop, they assisted me. My Lexus convertible can be difficult to start, and each valet was patient and treated her with love and care.

The rooms are comfortable and cozy with excellent views. I had all that I needed as far as drawer and closet space, ironing board, ice bucket, towels and toiletries. I lounged by the pool, and ordered room service as needed.

There were several times that I had to use the stairs rather than the elevator to return to my room because the elevator got stuck on higher floors. I also had difficulty on my floor with one side not wanting to return to the lobby, so I would get out and press the button for another elevator. Even though it's not necessary to tap your room key to go to the lobby, sometimes this option allowed me to return to the lobby.

An excellent choice. It was convenient to Santa Monica, 405 and 10 freeways when I ventured over to Melrose Arts District for dinner, and for the drive home.

I would recommend this hotel. They understand service, they are accommodating, patient and will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and pleasing!

We checked in after midnight. Staff immediately greeted us with warm smiling and valet staff came to us without waiting.

However, the air conditioning has loud noise, very loud noise. Informed the front desk, they tried to send service guy to help but too late at night and we were too tired. Fell asleep. We have to turn off the air conditioning during sleep.

We had a wonderful stay for my 30th birthday at Hotel Angeleno! We were given a complimentary upgrade to a room on a higher floor, which we really appreciated. The staff was kind and the hotel was clean. The pool and gym were nice amenities, as well as a working space in the lobby. The rooftop restaurant was nice for breakfast. The complimentary breakfast had good options, with hot food options available at an additional cost. The free uber was also a great feature of the hotel and made it easy to visit tourist spots, like a Getty Museum that is down the road. It would have been nice to have complimentary water in the room and cheaper valet parking options. However, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to others.

The room was very clean but I was given the impression that we would be able to use the balcony. The balcony door was locked and not usable. Staff was nice but they were not upfront about the valet parking daily cost which was about $45 daily. We tried calling the front desk as they said they can reserve an Uber for free cost to the Getty museum but we were on hold for almost an hour. The hotel was nice though and we just wish they were upfront with a lot of stuff beforehand. Due to this we wouldn't go there again.

Overall we had a very nice stay. It was centrally located between the places we needed to go and Uber was able to drop off and pick up easily. Online we understood a shuttle could take us within 3 miles, which was one reason we selected the hotel. But when we arrived, they explained it was an Uber service during limited hours to limited locations, so we couldn't benefit from it.

Although we only used both amenities once, the pool hours are good (open until 10 pm) and they a have free glass of wine in the afternoon. The continental breakfast is the exact same daily, which is a good offering, but it would be nice to have some boiled eggs or some other light protein option as opposed to the large pay breakfasts.

The rooms are a bit small and we would have preferred queen beds instead of doubles for a family of 3. But that's mainly due to the shape of the hotel, which limits the size of the spaces. We made it work.

The only issue we ran into were some young women under the influence yelling in the halls at 4AM for 30 minutes who woke up everyone on ours and neighboring floors. The hotel said they would comp us something for the disturbance, but I don't know that we were or that the hotel was able to address the badly mannered guests in any way.

Aside from a few challenges, we enjoyed our stay.
