This town is so amazingly beautiful and full of architecture, art and history. I felt like I was on a movie set all the time I was there. Lots of ambitious walking up and down hills. Be prepared with good walking shoes.

Excelente lugar para quedarse....muy comodo, super bien ubicado (en el centro), parqueo incluido cercano, la habitacion muy bonita estilo medieval con las comodidades y baño moderno. Buen desayuno, surtido.

Frederica and the rest of the staff were exceptional. We were traveling for a wedding and they helped us access extra services and recommendations. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast spread was delicious and we were able to order additional egg dishes and specialty coffees. The rooms were decadent and very clean. High ceilings and extremely quiet. It was the best stay we had during our trip.

This hotel is an absolute gem. Everything was perfect. The location, our host Frederica, the beautiful breakfast all ready when you walked out of your room, the self serve bar cart in the beautiful open space. I could name so many other aspects that were just perfection. This was one of my most favourite hotels in Tuscany. Tiny bit tricky to find, but if you follow the directions to a tee, you’ll see a flagpole on the building. Stop the car.. go inside and Frederica will help you go park. It’s worth the little bit of effort. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Our hostess at the property was fabulous and made us feel so at home. The hotel is very unique with only 5 rooms with original frescoes that date to 1767. Breakfast was a white table cloth affair with amazing fresh pastries. Truly felt like a princess in a palace! Location is in the heart of Montepulciano. The only disadvantage is no elevater so need to be able to handle two flights of stairs.

Elena was a great host for the property! The B&B Is absolutely adorable! Incredibly unique to the area and Romantic! We had the balcony and amazing jacuzzi tub. Highly recommend this property! Right next door to an adorable shop and great walking. The host also recommended taxi options which we contacted with ease. Very reliable. Couldn't say enough great things about this place!

The hotel was great. The view from the bedroom and balcony in The Albany room is breathtaking across the valley. The room has everything needed including ice making machine, tea/coffee machine, complimentary minibar, Sky TV and a double jacuzzi bath.

The Best

This was our second stay here, and we loved it. Frederica and Elena take very good care of us every time we come and we find their personalities very pleasing. Our room was the largest and it is so comfortable with a separate living room from the bedroom and a big Jacuzzi tub which we’ve actually never used, but it looks pretty inviting. We can’t come back next year.

Our room was beautiful and there was a beautiful view of Tuscany from the lobby. Restaurants and shops are close by. Great bathtub and large Turkish shower. Free Jameson Irish Whiskey and others in the lobby. The breakfast is not hot but it is plenty of sweet rolls and fruit.

The room was absolutely beautiful with a fresco painted ceiling. The bathroom was clean and modern. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were very friendly.

One downside is that there's no elevator, so you'll have to carry your luggage up two flights of stairs. Also, after check-out they kindly held our bags while we explored the town, but unfortunately there was no bathroom/toilet available for us to use when we came back, so we had to find a public loo before our long drive.

A note on driving/parking – you'll need nerves of steel to navigate the narrow, winding \"streets\" within the town to the hotel and car park. And entering the car park, there's a sharp turn up a steep incline, and our tyres slipped and we had to try many times to get around the corner, but eventually we did. We overheard another guest at check-in say they had the same problem, and that they had given up and parked elsewhere. Perhaps the hotel should warn guests about this before arrival?

Excellent room, service, and amenities. RECOMMEND

Federico made us feel very welcome at the property, which was in quite excellent condition. Parking was available nearby, which was appreciated, as well as the keyless entry system. The breakfast table was set exquisitely, and was well enjoyed.

Wine and dine in Tuscany

Used Montepulciano as base for exploring the region, and this hotel was pure luxury yet relaxed. Free parking easy walking distance, and the staff are excellent with great tips for the area and dinner options. Breakfast is pretty special too, in a dining room so beautiful.

A little piece of heaven.

This place was fantastic everything about it was perfect. The hospitality was over the top and the rooms so comfortable. The only thing it needed was a makeup mirror as the mirror in the bathroom is too far away to use as a makeup mirror.

The best property we stayed in our whole tour. Wish we could spend one more night here. More than value for money. Located in a beautiful hill village. The main reception dining room is so large palace like and with free drinks on board. Room was very beautiful and gave u old charm. And all the facilities u can think were there in the room. With an attic room with seperate tv for children. Nice bathing tun in bathroom.
Host were very welcoming caring warm and helpful.
Breakfast: was the best u can have in Italy and it was so well laid out on your personal table with great variety and excellent taste. Do order a fresh juice also which was so tasty and refreshing
I would love to come back here again
Needless to say that it is located in a very beautiful Val d orcia area

Truly enchanting

Truly beautiful and unique stay. Each room is adorned with restored fresco ceilings and unique fittings. We opted for the “Carletti” room which included a breakfast area, private Turkish bath and giant tub. I will certainly be back here! One thing to note is that check in is not u til 3pm, there is no attendee at the hotel to let you in until this time: however if you call they will give you a code to drop your bags. They offer exceptional extras with a free mini bar, liquor cart and breakfast. Only down side is it appears they turn off the AC at night so it could get hot in the summer season.

Best stay in our 3 weeks in Italy. The hotel is a luxury renovated Palazzo. My wife and I only stayed here for 2 nights but it was the best 2 nights we had while traveling to Tuscany. The breakfast was also ver delicious and the people that work there they were also very eager to help us with with reservations to restaurants. Great stayed all around.

Our stay at Palazzo Carletti was wonderful. The room was beautiful with a spectacular ceiling, coffee machine and refrigerator. Closets were large with an iron and ironing board. Lights and TV were very modern. The bathroom was very modern, spa-like. The breakfast area was elegant. The Carletti was centrally located and service was impeccable.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Palazzo Carletti! It was such an amazing hotel, the breakfast was very personalized and the location is perfect as it was close to all the best restaurants, wineries and the parking spot. Absolutely FANTASTIC stay

WE highly recommend this boutique hotel. Only 5 rooms at this 15th century building with 18th C. frescoes. Clean and beautiful. Owners have done a fantastic job of blending the old building with all the new comfort amenities you could want. But what made the stay extra special was the attentiveness of Enrico. He went way beyond call of duty to assure our 100% comfort; thank you Enrico. I can go on and on about this place and staff.

What a place! Steeped in history, this was the highlight hotel of our trip. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and clean. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and local produce being used. Interestingly, our biggest plus point was the personal service and hosting of Enrico. More than happy to help and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The way it should be!

Stay in a charming old palace!

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and loved it! There are only 5 rooms but the whole place has an extremely high ceiling being an old palace. The room had a charm and the common area where we had a nice breakfast was beautiful as well. The receptionist helped us bring the luggage from the parking lot down the street and up and down from the street level. They made the stay very comfortable!

Perfect Hotel in the Heart of Montepulciano

This place is an absolute gem! We stayed here 1-night during our anniversary trip through Tuscany and Umbria. It's a palace that was converted to a hotel with only 6 rooms. The original frescos are still on the walls and ceilings. Enrico greeted us and made sure our stay was perfect. The breakfast was a table set for two. We'll definitely come back and stay here again.

This property is a gem. Our hotelier was absolutely outstanding - he went above and beyond my expectations - if I could give him 10 stars instead of 5 I would. The views are epic, the breakfast was lovely. Keep in mind that when staying in the center of a historic town in Tuscany that streets will be very narrow and parts may be steep, and that you will have a diatance to park your rental car. If you cannot handle stairs, don't consider Montepulciano, stay outside the old town, as there are no lifts. Our experience at Palazzo Carletti was perfetto!! Bravo Roberto!!

Perfect stay in the heart of Montepulciano

Love this hotel - the location can’t be beat for Montepulciano! You’re a short walk from all sights and parking is easy and convenient. Staff is always so accommodating and looking to make your stay memorable. Rooms are traditional yet updated and very comfortable. We’ve stayed in two of them and enjoyed both stays immensely. Definitely recommend for couples and families.

I cannot say enough about this special hotel that captured my heart! My hubby and I were here for three days and it was not long enough! Our room was beautiful with high ceilings (and a gorgeous fresco) and a large bathroom ...yes with a large shower. Do not miss breakfast as the food, the coffee, the setting are all out of a fairy tale. So romantic, so perfect. There are several great restaurants and a supermarket all within a two minute walk away from your front door. Montepulciano is beautiful and the people who live there make it even more special. Do yourself a favor...stay here!

This is a very nicely appointed, beautiful palazzo in the heart of the old town. Very quiet and yet central to everything. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. It's not the easiest to find when you first arrive, so plan ahead. However, well worth the effort.

Palazzo Carletti is a hidden gem that is absolutely worth the splurge and experience. The hotel is located in the town, so it is located in an excellent location since the town of Montepulciano is so small, everything is within about a 10 minute walking distance. The hotel does offer free parking spots, about a 5 minute drive and walk away from the hotel. Be sure when visiting you do not have a very large car as you have to drive through the small streets of Montepulciano to reach the hotel, the parking, and the town.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is like a work of art. The lobby/reception area is huge. At night they leave a bar cart for guests to use free of charge and in the morning, you can enjoy a lovely breakfast with views of the rolling hills of Tuscany. The room itself was very large, clean, and luxurious with beautiful artwork along the walls and ceiling and a modern bathroom. There is a free bar and ice machine in the room. The bedding was the softest bedding I have every felt and want to purchase it for my own home. This was a very lovely and special hotel to stay in during my trip and I am glad that I did.

This restored palace is luxurious, boutique and exceptional in every way.

We could not fault it, from the incredibly comfortable bed to the complimentary bar, in room coffee pod machine & the unparalleled service from Martina, it was a highlight!

Beautiful 18th century palazzo with original frescos, domed ceilings, elegant furnishings and fantastic modern bathroom. The drawing room where breakfast is served is magnificent.
