Excellent experience overall.
The room is huge and spotlessly clean. You can enjoy nice ocean views right from the pool area — and the pool itself is much larger and more impressive than it appears in the photos. Buggy cars are available anytime, making it easy to get around. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful.
Samabe has its own private beach with a convenient lift for easy access.
That said, before booking, consider your main purpose for the trip. This resort is perfect for a relaxing staycation or sightseeing focused on the property and ocean views. If you’re hoping to explore traditional Balinese food, vibrant bars, lively nightlife, or top-tier spas, I’d recommend staying in Canggu or Ubud instead.

Absolutely fantastic place- a boutique resort, so smaller but we did not miss anything including food variety compared to any large place during our 8-day stay. The facilities were pristine, quality of food and service exceptional and they had so many amenities like regular laundry services and a in-room massage session complimentary with all-inclusive package. That was such a pleasant surprise! They also arranged transport and a local show in as a complimentary perk. Organization and service was wonderful. E-butler services was one of the best. They had room ready for us hours ahead for check in- which was so appreciated as we flew over 30hrs to get there. Checkout was seamless. Can’t say enough about the staff and their hospitality!

Samabe is a wonderful resort. The villas are large, private and luxurious. The staff and quality of food at both restaurants are very good, though a wider selection of more local dishes would be nice. One downside is the turtle release. Do not partake in this. It isnt informative. The young gents arent specialists and do not know anything about the turtles other than they come from a conservation area. Overall i would stay again and look forward to the experience.

Stayed here for 6 nights. Simply stunning. The gardens are beautiful, and all of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. All inclusive option is great value for money as it also includes in room dining as well as dining anywhere within the main areas of the hotel e.g. beach, pool etc. The rooms are huge, I couldn't believe how big the shower was - could easily fit 10 people in there! Everything is also kept immaculately clean as well. If your looking for the perfect fly & flop holiday in Bali, Samabe should be at the top of your list. Expensive yes, but worth every single penny.

The service in the hotel was excellent and the e-butler service was really good and very responsive. The staff were always extremely helpful and attentive.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we would recommend the hotel. The cave dining on the beach was a lovely experience with 11 courses.
The minor criticisms would be - there were construction works going on near our villa until late into late evening. Obviously this isn’t the hotels fault but it did mean our stay wasn’t as pleasant and meant we didn’t stay in the villa as much.
The breakfast buffet didn’t have the variety you’d expect for the hotel rating and this could be improved upon.

This was our third visit to Samabe, which speaks volumes about the quality of this resort. It's perfect for those who prefer to spend their time relaxing within the resort and enjoying the private beach. The staff are consistently kind, accommodating, and eager to assist with any requests.

I highly recommend the all-inclusive package for peace of mind, offering a variety of food and drink options, including multinational cuisines like Indian. The package also includes a daily signature activity, adding to the experience. The resort uses an efficient e-butler system via WhatsApp, allowing you to easily request anything you need.

One of the main reasons we keep coming back to Samabe is its intimate size, which ensures a more personal experience. Unlike larger resorts such as Alaya, where you might feel like just another guest, Samabe maintains a welcoming and attentive atmosphere.

We stayed for 5nt in a villa, which was incredibly comfortable. The room service and cleaning staff deserve special recognition for their meticulous attention to detail—returning to the room always felt like stepping into it for the first time.

The in-house Galangal Spa is another highlight, featuring skilled therapists who ensure a rejuvenating experience. Special mention to Kadek, whose excellent technique, pressure application, and warm personality made the experience even more enjoyable.

Our stay took place in mid-December, which coincided with the wet season, be mindful of this.

Our honeymoon at Samabe Villas and Suites in Bali was simply unforgettable. From the warm welcome with a complimentary drink to the thoughtful fruit and cake platter personalized with our names, every detail was perfect. The resort went above and beyond by customizing the minibar to be alcohol-free as per our request, offering a delightful selection of non-alcoholic drinks at no cost. The banana chocolate coffee and avocado coffee were particularly delicious!

Afternoon tea was a daily highlight, offering an amazing variety of sweet and savory treats. The e-butler service was outstanding—always prompt, friendly, and helpful. Dinner was a culinary treat with delicious Balinese food made with love, and the fact that the staff remembered our names added a special touch. We also appreciated that our meals were halal, thanks to the chef and his team.

Breakfast was equally incredible, featuring dishes from various international cuisines. Chef I Ketut Sumerta and his team deserve special thanks for their exceptional service and attention to our needs.

Our room was spacious, spotless, and even more beautiful than the pictures, with breathtaking ocean views and a fantastic private pool. We also loved the cooking and mocktail classes, which added a fun, personal touch to our stay.

Samabe's private beach, efficient buggy service, and luxurious amenities have us eager to return. Without a doubt, our next visit to Bali will be at Samabe—truly the best resort experience we've ever had.

My family (my wife, 2 children aged 8 & 6) and I stayed at Samabe in August 2024. Both the service and facilities were superb. Food was great (also reasonably priced), with more than enough options for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Our Family Suite with a view overlooking the ocean surpassed our expectations. This hotel/resort will not disappoint. There are some cheaper options but it was worth paying a little extra to ensure we had the best possible experience.

Accommodation is good, but starting to get a little rough around the edges - although I found impeccably clean.

I found the housekeeping a little intrusive, there is no doorbell or warning that they are about to enter the property (outside area) with the only way to prevent access is to pull a large wooden bolt across the doors.. there is no little sign to state not to be disturbed.

I also found housekeeping arrived at unpredictable times, could be morning could be afternoon.

Overall a good experience, although I feel a little overpriced.

Samabe is akin to the feeling of being home. Safe, peaceful, comfortable and happy. The staff are there when you need them and you are left in luxurious privacy the other time. I highly recommend the unlimited benefits add-on: all and anything you want to eat or drink on their menus and a signature activity per day. Every member of staff at Samabe greeted us, they are well trained in mannars and hospitality. Samabe uses an e-butler WhatsApp group that you can communicate your wants to. This functions highly well to get your message across without being understood in person which I found a lot in the rest of Bali! More perks include a laundry service, private beach for Samabe guests, ample water activities free to try (kayak, stand up paddle board, kite surf, catamaran rides) the beach area is well though of and has areas of shady open shelters under trees as well parasol and deck chairs for those wanting the sun. The beach is sloped and the sand is coarse but there are pockets of soft sand in the water (just have to find them) for more opulence you can use their beach front cabanas. I wish I knew they had a range of boardgames as these would have given some fun variety for playing while eating some lunch or dinner. A warning though, you will will want to stay within the resort to relax and not venture out! When reasonable Samabe are considerate in keeping you happy. Special mention to Kadek at Galangal Spa, she is a sweet and joyous lady! We want to see her when we return!

Samabe is the place to stay!

This hotel property is a must stay! When we arrived, we were greeted right at the door and escorted to a waiting area where we received welcome snacks, drinks, and even massages.

The property is pristine and stunning. Every turn left us a little more speechless than the scene before.

The check-in process was seamless and we were graciously giving an upgrade to the penthouse suite.

Some of the highlights of this property are house spread out. Things are so you feel like you’re at your own private place. Lots of room for plenty of people to enjoy without feeling overcrowded.

The E Butler feature through WhatsApp, is your one stop shop for any questions, reservations, and pretty much anything else you need. This is the first time I’ve seen this at a property and I hope that it catches on around the world.

We enjoyed cooking classes, an amazing birthday meal, and a day at the beach in one of the cabanas.

This place knows how to treat a customer! We were booked on a redeye flight out of Bali, and the hotel was gracious enough to let us stay until 6 PM in our room. Talk about a late check out! Never did I expect this, but I so much appreciated it, and for that reason alone, I will definitely be back to this property.

We wanted somewhere quiet with sea view as a break from the daily city life and Samabe is the place. We love how spacious the suite rooms are and the million dollar view. We could just live here. Basic package includes breakfast, afternoon tea and non-alcoholic drinks. It is so convenient as you can just order whatever you want wherever you are. The e-butler service is wonderful, just whatsapp them and they will attend to it immediately. Buggy service is easily available too.
Swimming pool area are mostly quiet and there is a bar to get your drinks. It is so relaxing to just chill and watch the waves. Beach area is quiet and private. There are free activities such as SUP, wind surfing, kayak and catamaran ride. This is also the area you can have your afternoon tea in the cave.
What we appreciate is, you can order breakfast and afternoon tea and have them in your room, by the pool or beach. This is really nice as sometimes you just want to sleep in late or just enjoy the room.
F&B options are limited to two restaurants. We stayed for a week and after three days we were bored. But it is on the same stretch as Kempinski, Ritz and Mulia, so its easy to just grab/gojek to have lunch/dinner there.
Overall we loved our stay here and would love to come back again. We appreciate the staffs attentiveness and friendliness. The only thing we wish for is to have better and more varied F&B options. Oh be sure to use the free photo service! its amazing. Just pay for the ones you choose.

Highly recommend Samabe if you need a relaxing luxurious holiday.
Service and Staff:
The service should be given a score of 11/10. The team goes above and beyond your expectations to deliver a world class experience. Any request made, was attended to in seconds literally through the E-butler service.
They noted our dietary requirements on day 1 and the team members knew the details the moment we gave our room number. They made extra efforts to accommodate our dietary requirements. We had minimal hiccups with the AC acting up in our room. The team responded promptly and upgraded us without any hesitation and also subsequently waived some of the charges for the stay. The staff was always smiling and courteous.
Food:
One of the best culinary experiences we have had in a long time. The food was outright 5 star quality and every cuisine hit the spot. There was no dish that missed the top notch taste. The head chef came and spoke to us to accommodate our vegetarian requirement, and generously made modifications to the menu. They served a massive buffet breakfast with options of additional ala carte. Throughout our stay, the minibar in the room was free and refilled daily. Afternoon tea was free and served with a multitude of mini hot, cold and sweet treats. The tea, coffee, soft drinks and mocktails were unlimited and free anywhere, anytime in the resort.

This is a modern property with 1st class accommodations. The property is well maintained and easy to walk even though it is located on a hillside on a cliff. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They will often call you by name. The food was very fresh and had a good selection. If you are participating in the all inclusive, note that alcohol is only included after 5pm. We found it well worth it regardless due to the Signature Activities included in the package. These activities were a highlight of the trip.. included massages, cave dinner, foam parties in the pool, cultural activities, and cooking /bartending classes. We participated in all of them. The activities staff does an excellent job. Highly recommend this resort. The only callout is the traffic and road construction which made traveling to and from the resort challenging at times given it is on the far corner of the island. This will likely resolve itself once construction is completed. Thank you team Samabe. We will be back!

We stayed in the Ocean Front Pool honeymoon suite for my boyfriend’s birthday and we absolutely loved our experience. The room looked just like the photographs, very large and comfortable. The staff made sure our room was clean and fully stocked daily. From our check in to check out, the staff has been absolutely phenomenal! They add you to a WhatsApp group where they are able to distribute Information as well as take requests. All of the facilities were not fully open (as I believe we were among the first wave of tourists back) however, it never felt like we were lacking in anything. I would definitely recommend this resort and would come back again.

We were on our honeymoon so we got upgraded to a villa with a private pool and it was by far the coolest villa we've ever stayed in (and we travel quite a bit). The food here was great and there are plenty of activities to do for free on the beach through the resort. The pool was amazing as well. They have a shuttle going into town and back several times/day for free so that was really helpful when wanting to get out. Can't recommend enough!

We had generally a good stay in this resort until an incident took place in the main dining facility, Rempah-Rempah, involving my young daughter. Her toe got cut through by the sliding door as it kept on closing on her as she was walking through it. While the ground staff, drivers were very attentive and accomodating by providing first aid and drove us to the hospital as she was bleeding. It was the Manager on Duty's follow up action that really disappointed us. Despite looking symphatetic, her action said otherwise. She clearly suggested it was not the resort's responsibility for what had happened. The staff in the restaurant even mentioned that the sliding door's censor was less responsive with short people, including children. It's funny how they are not attending to this issue as this resort is categorised as family friendly resort, hence lots of young tourists. It's like an accident waiting to happen, which she disagreed. After what had happened, the least she could do was to offer for the medical bill to be reimbursed as this incident took place in a public place where she was on duty. Instead, she only offered a fruit platter as consolation, what a joke.

Such an incredible property! My wife was injured and they rushed to accommodate her with a wheelchair and golf cart service whenever we needed. The staff was extremely friendly and the resort was beautiful. The amenities were great and the beach access was convenient using the lift. The food was amazing and the butler service was prompt. I highly recommend staying here for a nice relaxing vacation in Bali!

Breathtaking ocean view and friendly staff

We booked the ocean view suite and the view was indeed breathtaking. Room is big and they were very accommodating with our requests for two cots. Baby amenities such as baby sterliser, bathtub and brush were also provided so that helped a lot. We liked everything in the room except the floors were not clean. They cleaned it many times but our feet were still black from walking around our room.
The staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcomed.
Breakfast spread was good. We looked forward to breakfast everyday.
The water in the pool was a bit cold but we reckon it was because it was by the beach. Love that this property has its own private beach.
Overall we enjoyed our stay!

The staff are extremely polite, especially the F&B manager. Knowing that we like mangosteen, he ensured we have a plate of peeled mangosteen to start off our day. The butler of East Wing is very helpful and ensured that we have a comfortable stay.

The property was amazing we had a 1 bdrm villa and it was great servicd from check in to check out. Room food delivery can take 45 minutes. Laundry service was excellent clothes were folded and returned back daily. Spa treatments are amazing. Resort offers alot of activities but try and book before arriving is better. They do offer 1 way shuttle to the airport so dont book roundtrip like we did. Nonik at breakfast was amazing and learnerd our order and name after the first day. Ferby and susan at front desk always made sure we had everything we needed even made sure we had daily activities. Yoga on the beach is so relaxing. He even helped stretch our back and popped the tight areas for me. The villa is great has two ac unit controls which came in handy when i was in the living room was able to keep it warm while my husband kept the bedroom cold. They provide a daily toothbrush and cologate to use. I love the fact that they will bring you a body pillow if you have a bad back. They have pillows for everybody type. They can also set the room to any smell you like with a diffuser. The pool water wasnt cold it was a good temp. Not sure if its heated but felt that way. They will bring you drinks and fruit to your pool. They clean the room every morning and night before bed for you. I only saw monkeys on the first 2 days of our 7 day stay. I loved the food options with the two restaurant. But we didnt enjoy the free romantic lunch but i am greatful for the offer. We loved the food.

We stayed at Samabe in January 2019, and overall we were a little underwhelmed with the experience. The property itself is beautiful, and the service was generally good, however having stayed at other resorts at Nusa Dua we really could not see why this property charged so much more than the others. Granted the rooms were huge, but other things like food at restaurants and kids club were sub par. The food tried really hard in terms of modern cuisine presentation, but missed the mark everytime (i.e. fish and steak being way overcooked etc). Being quite a distance away from other restaurants this was a big thing for us. The 'butler service' thing seems like a bit of a gimmick to me, they seem to talk this up a lot in their marketing and perhaps a reason why they charge more. But again, any decent hotel with good service will provide what they are playing up here. There were a couple of times when our requests were just never fulfilled ie. asking for kids pool toys, 'Sure no problem mam' and then they just never came. Overall we did enjoy our stay but felt it wasn't worth what we paid for it, and would have enjoyed our holiday just as much elsewhere for half the cost.

This is one our our best vacation trips ever. It could have been better if we brought our other 20 family members along. Samabe promised a wonderful return rate in the future and we are counting on it. Thank you to our butlers Putu, Purwa, our receptionists Ira, Helen and all the others whose names we cannot remember. Every staff from driver, receptionist, Butler, waitress, massage specialists, gardeners, laundry, housekeeping. Everyone on the resort is absolutely wonderfully courteous, making this resort a home away from home. It is truly a paradise we look forward to coming back in the future. Hopefully everything remains the same when we get back.

Our holiday at Samabe was a delightful experience. Whilst the resort itself is amazing, the courteous staff at Samabe go above and beyond to make the stay at Samabe truly remarkable and memorable. We went there on holiday during Xmas for 5 nights with our 4 month baby and parents. The staff were extremely courteous, caring, diligent and pro-active. The reservations manager - Putu Cynthia, our butler for couple of days - Putu, Ira, Hana, Hendra, Ralf, Dede, Dharma + all other staff - we can't thank you all enough for wonderful experience. As per Samabe's tagline - we did arrive as guest, departed as friend and we are definitely returning back as family.

Romantic exclusive and stunning resort

This 'hotel' is absolute heaven, and is incredibly romantic and beautiful. As the resort is mainly villas even the public areas are very quiet and it feels as if you are pretty much the only people there much of the time. Our villa was excellent and the staff, especially the butler service was superb. We were in the all inclusive package that included a selection of additional treats such as massage, an Indonesian show, and cave dining that you could select every day. The food was out of this world and all in all I was desperately sorry to leave

Absolutely amazing!! And we are hard critics of hotels. The staff here is very pleasant and always looking to make your day perfect. Personal butler staff was also always on point and very interested in helping with your day. The villas are beautiful and clean with all the modern amenities you would need. Wifi is probably the fastest you'll find in Bali. The food is wonderful, we recommend the unlimited package. We never had a bad meal and service was above and beyond. The hotel grounds are like a five star golf course, perfect and meticulously maintained, my wife had flowers in every bath and in her hair every day., all from the beautiful gardens. Even though their activities are well organized and the staff drives you and sometimes even accompanies you, we always couldn't wait to come back. This is a new hotel and is looking to compete with the best of the five stars out there...let me promise you, from someone who has been to the five stars around, this hotel is hands down the best choice. My only hope is that they stay small and \"boutique\", a true treasure.
