We liked our stay in Actons. Nice harbour view rooms. Compliments to house keeping. Food in the bar was good, the lighing was too bright which stole the ambiance otherwise all good. Good breakfast. Worth noting that vegan options around town in restaurants were very bad but Actons have a limited vegan menu, but at least they have one and it is good.

When I called back later they apologized profusely and then comped the meal. They didn’t have to do that. The care for the customer is top notch

Kinsale is a very beautiful town and it is a bit on the pricey side because of its “foodie capital of Ireland” reputation. With that said, Actons Hotel is overall lovely. My issue was that on the night we stayed there was a wedding (maybe two) and the wedding crowd partied until about 5am, moving in and out of rooms, socializing in the halls, and being very loud. Repeated attempts were made to get them and/or the front desk to put an end to it, but it never happened. Quite a shame because this is a nice hotel. But for the price we paid to get no sleep is really unacceptable.

I've been to Ireland many times, my mom was from Kinsale and we visit her family. I've always wanted to stay at the Actons Hotel, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We had a wonderful stay, great food and drink at Sidney's Pub, amazing breakfast in the restaurant each morning. Our room was so nice with floor to ceiling window with view of harbor. Walk to downtown area so quickly. Staff were the nicest hotel staff I've ever met, very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely recommend Actons Hotel in Kinsale.

We had an excellent stay. The hotel was easy to find, there was parking available on site, we utilized the leisure/pool area and the hotel was easy walking distance to the downtown area. The staff allowed us to leave the car for a few hours past checkout to give us more time to sightsee. Breakfast was excellent and the bed very comfortable.

We arrived at 8pm on a Saturday night and got the last free park for the hotel directly out the front. The restaurant at the hotel was brilliant for both dinner and again breakfast in the morning-highly recommend taking the time for the breakfast, cooked meal was brill.

However one negative was the breakfast, I asked for a fried egg with a firm yolk, the waiter brought me out a very runny egg so I asked if he could just ask the chef to cook it more so it was firm. He brought it back to the kitchen and then came out a little while later with a still runny egg and said the chef said thats the best they can do! How hard is it to make a fried egg with a firm yolk?? Was disappointing for the price we paid for the room not to have a nice breakfast but apart from that it was a lovely stay!

All was ok... Love Ireland and the Irish but the staff gave just enough... there was not desire to go the extra mile to make our stay better, even though I told them is was my birthday. Extending our stay by 30m seemed like a huge effort.
Also the pool is NOT part of the hotel so we have to go out in the rain to access the leisure centre. This was VERY dirty. The worse I have seen. Dirt in the jacuzzi and the floors of the stem bath were disgusting. I’m afraid I can’t recommend the hotel...
