For the money, the room was small, the breakfast was meager, and no private parking. We traveled around Ireland and found this stay the most dollars for the least worth. However, the staff was delightful and the location ideal. Kinsale is really magical and definitely recommend.

The property itself is in a good location, but they have NO parking near the property. Not even to pay for. We were told absolutely no early check in or dropping our bags off because owner/manager feels his staff cannot get job done right if he does. He told us to drive a quarter mile away and wait for a spot to open up (took 20 minutes). He tells you can park across the street if you can find a space (you cannot after 11 AM) and if you it is only 2 hours. For US $450 a night that is unacceptable. It is not a 4 star hotel, more of a glorified B&B. The breakfast if very good and rooms are clean and good sized. Just not acceptable on the parking.

The staff was welcoming. The hotel room was very basic. No air conditioning though so we had to open the windows. Very noisy outside until about 1:30 am. Bed was a full size so my husband and I had to cozy up. A little too small for us and we are not big people. The location was great. I don’t think it was worth the price.

This is a great place to stay. It's very clean, has spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, and very friendly, kind, and helpful staff. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Great location if it wasn’t right on a main road coming/going from town. It was noisy during the day but not so much at night. We had a nice big room which unfortunately was right at ground level so sidewalk and road noise was prominent as it was just a couple of meters away. ***this was probably our error in not reading the SMALL print saying it was a ‘street view’ room. The proprietor says it can’t control what Expedia displays about their property, so perhaps it is Expedia’s fault. The staff was extremely nice and everything else was great.

Unique to the property was skeleton key to open and lock your room. Was great walkability to the whole town including pubs for dinner, fresh produce stores and pharmacy, not to mention a couple of different off licenses. Would recommend The Blue Haven for dinner - the seafood chowder was the best I've ever had. The bed was pretty firm though so we both woke up sore. Breakfast tables weren't necessarily set-up to accommodate all the guests so we happily invited an American couple to join us. Was great to hear about their tours and activities. Parking was on the street in front of the hotel. Would've done a harbour boat tour if we'd had more time.

Great location- check in kid was a bit dopey and didn’t know anything about the parking situation across the street otherwise a nice hotel. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8:30 so if you’re looking for an early start this might be at bit inconvenient as everywhere else we stayed in Ireland started at 7:00. Would recommend to stay here again

The nicest staff ever and even provided us with suggestions of points of interest along our next leg of the trip, all were spot on. Breakfast was delicious. Long Quay House is an old Georgian manor house located within a few minutes walk to many great pubs and restaurants.
While the House doesn’t provide parking, there is a large public parking lot across the street (on the end of the quay).

The innkeeper and his son were so very welcoming and friendly. We had a rental car with a damaged tire and they made sure we were taken care of by advising us as to the best way to handle it. As a result, we were back on the road the next morning. Fantastic property and staff!

Fabulous location in a darling town! The Long Quay House has both old world charm and modern conveniences! It’s extremely clean and convenient to walking around town. The proprietor, Peter, is eager to be helpful and makes you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. We loved this quaint house with comfortable rooms and a lovely solarium, if you wish to read or relax. If that wasn’t enough, the 5 star breakfast is included and couldn’t have been more lovely and delicious! Staying here is a TREAT!! Wish we could have planned to stay longer!

We had a very nice time here and would love to had stayed more than one night.
We got in quite late but the staff were very accommodating and helpful even though we had messed up the schedule.

We had a lovely room overlooking the harbour. Service was excellent and lots of attention paid to Covid regulations. Great location but be prepared for on street parking and a potential walk. Lots of options for eating out.
