The location was excellent, right across from the harbour and walking distance to everything . It was super hot When we stayed there, but the fan and lots of windows really helped.
Even though we were disappointed to find out that the property had no parking and no lift, Peter was really helpful in pointing out that parking across the street was free from 6 PM till the morning, and he helped us carry all our luggage up the stairs. The complementary Breakfast was fabulous., both the service and the food!

Caveat emptor! It’s been a while since i have even seen an actual double bed, let alone have to squeeze into one with my partner. Usually when a hotel advertises a double bed, they mean a queen, or even a king. We paid €240 ($400 CDN) for that dubious privilege. If you need to spread out a bit, as we do, it’s not acceptable. Way overpriced. That said, the host was hospitable, the included breakfast good and the location central.

For the money, the room was small, the breakfast was meager, and no private parking. We traveled around Ireland and found this stay the most dollars for the least worth. However, the staff was delightful and the location ideal. Kinsale is really magical and definitely recommend.

The property itself is in a good location, but they have NO parking near the property. Not even to pay for. We were told absolutely no early check in or dropping our bags off because owner/manager feels his staff cannot get job done right if he does. He told us to drive a quarter mile away and wait for a spot to open up (took 20 minutes). He tells you can park across the street if you can find a space (you cannot after 11 AM) and if you it is only 2 hours. For US $450 a night that is unacceptable. It is not a 4 star hotel, more of a glorified B&B. The breakfast if very good and rooms are clean and good sized. Just not acceptable on the parking.

The staff was welcoming. The hotel room was very basic. No air conditioning though so we had to open the windows. Very noisy outside until about 1:30 am. Bed was a full size so my husband and I had to cozy up. A little too small for us and we are not big people. The location was great. I don’t think it was worth the price.

Great location if it wasn’t right on a main road coming/going from town. It was noisy during the day but not so much at night. We had a nice big room which unfortunately was right at ground level so sidewalk and road noise was prominent as it was just a couple of meters away. ***this was probably our error in not reading the SMALL print saying it was a ‘street view’ room. The proprietor says it can’t control what Expedia displays about their property, so perhaps it is Expedia’s fault. The staff was extremely nice and everything else was great.

Unique to the property was skeleton key to open and lock your room. Was great walkability to the whole town including pubs for dinner, fresh produce stores and pharmacy, not to mention a couple of different off licenses. Would recommend The Blue Haven for dinner - the seafood chowder was the best I've ever had. The bed was pretty firm though so we both woke up sore. Breakfast tables weren't necessarily set-up to accommodate all the guests so we happily invited an American couple to join us. Was great to hear about their tours and activities. Parking was on the street in front of the hotel. Would've done a harbour boat tour if we'd had more time.

Great location- check in kid was a bit dopey and didn’t know anything about the parking situation across the street otherwise a nice hotel. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8:30 so if you’re looking for an early start this might be at bit inconvenient as everywhere else we stayed in Ireland started at 7:00. Would recommend to stay here again

Had an absolutely wonderful stay. Upon checkin we were upgraded to a suite that overlooked the street side and harbor. The room was large and very well designed. The bed was so super comfortable. The nicest staff ever and even provided us with suggestions of points of interest along our next leg of the trip, all were spot on. Breakfast was delicious. Peter, the Innkeeper, was exceptional in his care for his guests. Staff member J was a delight at breakfast, which was a classic Irish offering. Our accommodations were top notch with a beautiful view. The location was ideal and provided easy walking access to all that Kinsale had to offer.

Very pleasant, comfortable place. The family which owns and runs it are very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast and great coffee. The only complaint is that there is no unloading zone or parking. We were directed to free parking about a block away which worked out fine.

Noisy location & basic room for $200 not a great value. Climbing 3 flights of stairs with luggage not a treat. Bed just ok, breakfast quite good. Harbor view nice but I’d look for a quieter location

The breakfast was amazing, self service items as well as a choice of fully cooked breakfasts. Parking was across the street on a public lot, free only at certain times. The room was very comfortable, except the heat was only turned on by the hotel intermittently. Very quiet.

Central location can walk to restaurants. Free Parking across from hotel. Very friendly and knowledgeable host. Great continental and cooked breakfast. Nicely decorated and very clean rooms with comfortable bed.

Fabulous location in a darling town! The Long Quay House has both old world charm and modern conveniences! It’s extremely clean and convenient to walking around town. The proprietor, Peter, is eager to be helpful and makes you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. We loved this quaint house with comfortable rooms and a lovely solarium, if you wish to read or relax. If that wasn’t enough, the 5 star breakfast is included and couldn’t have been more lovely and delicious! Staying here is a TREAT!! Wish we could have planned to stay longer!

We had a very nice time here and would love to had stayed more than one night.
We got in quite late but the staff were very accommodating and helpful even though we had messed up the schedule.
We had the room on the top floor with an incredible view of the harbor. The room was very comfortable and modern. The bathroom is brand new and very nice. Also, all of the windows are new! I loved this because we were able to open them and enjoy the breeze, but then when closed, there is no noise at all from outside.
The house is in a great location, right in town but not at all hard to drive to.
The breakfast was delicious.

We had a lovely room overlooking the harbour. Service was excellent and lots of attention paid to Covid regulations. Great location but be prepared for on street parking and a potential walk. Lots of options for eating out.

Excellent Hosts, fantastic location with everything literally on your doorstep. Loved the Sea facing room, very comfortable. Really nice breakfast as well. Really enjoyed our stay here.
