One of the biggest rooms we stayed in while in Ireland. Beautiful location on the pier with an ocean view room. The breakfast was delicious in the morning you receive a menu to order your hot breakfast along with the continental. Walkable into Kinsale and a great spot to stay.

Great location on the harbor. I had a nine passenger van that I had to park and it was easily doable in their parking lot. The room that we stayed in overlooked the harbor but it also overlooked the parking lot. Great restaurants, and shopping in this quaint little town. If you are playing Old Head golf course and are not staying on property, this is about the closest hotel you can get.

Mine and my wife’s stay at the Trident Hotel was amazing. The location and the beauty of the hotel as we drove in to the parking lot was the first things that hit us. As we checked in, they upgraded us to a junior suite which overlooked the bay and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were great. They were friendly, attentive, and professional. Easy parking in the winter months since it isn't as busy. We were upgraded to a harbor view and the room is lovely. Loved being able to see the dolphins in the harbor in the morning. Staff is extremely friendly and our overall stay was amazing. We'd definitely come against.

Overall our stay at the Trident was very nice considering the options available in Kinsale.
The location is perfect. The staff very friendly.
The two downsides were the fact that the room had no air con and was very hot, even with the window open. And also we were on the first floor overlooking the car park. The room has huge windows overlooking the busy area and we felt overexposed. The room had blackout curtains and blinds which is fine, but the view is lovely and we’d have preferred lighter curtains so we can still enjoy the view with additional privacy of people being able to see right in at us.

The location is perfect. The staff very friendly.
The two downsides were the fact that the room had no air con and was very hot, even with the window open. And also we were on the first floor overlooking the car park. The room has huge windows overlooking the busy area and we felt overexposed. The room had blackout curtains and blinds which is fine, but the view is lovely and we’d have preferred lighter curtains so we can still enjoy the view with additional privacy of people being able to see right in at us.

Absolutely beautiful hotel by the Marina. The beds are comfortable and the waterfall shower in the bathroom was divine! You can use the indoor pool, sauna and gym at the sister property right door at no fee. The breakfast was really good; ordered eggs Benedict …so good.

Great Hotel in Kinsale. It was right on the harbor. Looks liked it was recently remodeled and in excellent shape. rooms where above average size and the bathrooms where the best. Hotel restaurant and bar where excellent and food and service was excellent. Breakfast was excellent as well with both hot and cold servings. Parking was on site and free.

Good position for getting in to town. Good views of the harbour. Nice big room. Extractor fan seemed to only work on a timer across the hotel so meant a late shower fill the room with steam and the noise of it began early in the morning. Breakfast was nice!

We wanted a hotel conveniently located with a view and onsite parking which The Trident offers. Staff at front desk and restaurant all friendly and ready to assist. The reason for the one star deduction is the heating system. I could not sleep well because the heating system is centrally located so only the front desk could turn it down but would not since it would mean turning the heat down for all guest in the part of the building we were in. Even with our window open it was too hot for me to sleep comfortably with a comforter on and a bit cold with window open and no comforter.

I know we are in different times but if they can’t do it right don’t do it at all we taught we were going for a relaxing wend not so dinner and breakfast had to be booked you were only allowed drink while eating or in your room staff didn’t seem to have a clue several people complaining we eat up in the blue haven hotel both nights will be back to the blue haven

Where to begin? This was the first stop on our European honeymoon and it’s safe to say we were completely spoiled! We were greeted by friendly staff, our room was phenomenal (clean, bright, huge), all of the bathroom amenities were wonderful (including a MASSIVE bath tub!), and the Wharf Restaurant showcases a particularly delicious Seafood Bake. We won’t be back in Kinsale for another year, but we’ve already decided we’ll be back here again, without a doubt. Thank you to the staff for making our stay unforgettable!

Great place, right on the water. When we arrived we were told we had a free upgrade (yay)! The room (suite) had a huge bathroom as well as a sofa and comfy chairs. All spotless.
Breakfast was great, we had a window seat and watched a seal in the harbour catching fish! Room was quiet, no noise from adjoining rooms. Also they provided conditioner - which seems to be getting rarer nowdays

We enjoyed our overnight stay overlooking the bay, right in front of the hotel. Our room was spacious, comfortable and we were only a short walk from our dinner reservation. The food was also delicious at the Trident’s own restaurant.
