Wendy
The staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was delicious and the bar was lively and friendly.
Anna
Clean rooms, comfortable beds great breakfast. Walkable to all over downtown Kinsale and trails to views of Forts. Construction currently going on that’s a bit loud early morning and throughout the day. Doors closing are loud. Views of the bay very pretty. Overall the stay was okay.
William
Offering was very good...service was excellent.
Lee Ann
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the late checkout too!
Robert

Kelly

Tracy
Wonderful, spacious rooms, with a great bathroom! Staff was excellent!
Ashley
One of the biggest rooms we stayed in while in Ireland. Beautiful location on the pier with an ocean view room. The breakfast was delicious in the morning you receive a menu to order your hot breakfast along with the continental. Walkable into Kinsale and a great spot to stay.
Bret
Great location on the harbor. I had a nine passenger van that I had to park and it was easily doable in their parking lot. The room that we stayed in overlooked the harbor but it also overlooked the parking lot. Great restaurants, and shopping in this quaint little town. If you are playing Old Head golf course and are not staying on property, this is about the closest hotel you can get.
Susan
Outstanding hotel with stunning ocean views
Wonderful location with beautiful ocean views
Leslie
We had a very nice 5 night stay. Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great. We also enjoyed the bar.
Todd
A nice place to stay. You’ll enjoy the local vibe.
Mary
We loved the view from our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. We took a longer walk over the nearby bridge to see the beach and old fort. Breakfast was also really good, and we enjoyed eating in the restaurant with a view of the marina. We would love to go back again, and we would highly recommend to friends and family!
Dustin
Property was great. Hotel very clean and great restaurant and pub. Exceeded expectations
Shawn
Great view from our window.
Clayton
Mine and my wife’s stay at the Trident Hotel was amazing. The location and the beauty of the hotel as we drove in to the parking lot was the first things that hit us. As we checked in, they upgraded us to a junior suite which overlooked the bay and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were great. They were friendly, attentive, and professional. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone I talk to you about Kinsale. Thank you for the excellent experience and next time we’re in the area we will definitely stay with you.
Nirmal
Perfect view looking over the ocean from your room
Lisa
Very walkable to most attractions.
William
Our favorite hotel of all four we stayed in during our trip! Very nice spacious room, with an amazing view of the harbor. Restaurant was excellent. The pub was excellent, with the best bartender I saw all week. Easy walk to other great restaurants and shopping. All staff super nice. Easy parking.
Paul
Hotel has self parking which is important in Kinsale. Walkable to town. Nice breakfast and lunch. Beautiful view of the Kinsale Bay.
Kelsey
Super quiet, great view, they are doing some renovations but the room was lovely, definitely book a harbour view
Jahan
Lovely hotel in Kinsale. We had a room with an ocean view and it was beautiful. The breakfast is also great and the food is from the local area, which is a huge plus from me. Would stay again if we return!
Robin
Recently returned back from Kinsale. I like to write reviews that help people pick a hotel!! Trip was with my husband and father with Alzheimer’s. After coming from Dingle the Trident is more “hotel” like but lovely just the same. Best parts were the great staff at breakfast. Very kind and chatty. Loved them! Breakfast was delicious!
This hotel is walking distance to downtown Kinsale but not close enough that my dad could walk by himself of course. We asked for a room next to him and he was put 2 doors down which was fine.
The hotel dinner was decent but desserts were better! Keep in mind this hotel hosts many Christmas parties and work functions so it can be loud and bustling.
Great harbor view from our room. We watched a driving rain from our window which was fun!
Bar was very quaint for the evening after the dinner rush. Overall I would recommend but next time we will try a hotel a bit smaller to capture a more quaint feel.

Lori
Very nice hotel. We had a great view and large room. Liked that you could adjust the temperature in the room. Rooms were nice, but could use some updating. Staff very friendly. Overall, a great location. Would go back.
Delfin
Nice room with view of the marina. Breakfast was fantastic… not your typical Irish breakfast buffet. I ordered the grilled plaice fish & the smashed avocado toast. All a la cart menu included in the breakfast without additional cost.
jeanne
Front desk was rude. Did not help in any way. Pat answer was to google ourselves. Taxi was impossible to rely on and wait was long. One would expect hotels to have partnered with transportation options. We were part of a group and the front desk clearly did not want us. Rooms were not ready even at 4 pm
Teresa

Excellent location, staff and food. Unfortunately the river view has a constant distraction of noisy heavy equipment loading feed from a large barge onto trucks beginning early in the morning all through the day.

Good location, short walk into the town. Parking lot is very small and we were lucky to get a spot. The room was a good size, very clean and updated with a large bathroom and a nice view of the harbor. Breakfast was very good.
Jennifer
Nice rooms. We got upgraded to a Junior suite & it was beautiful & clean. Nice bathrooms. Hotel is walkable to everything & nice to have parking. Only complaint is room was a bit hot and even with the open window, it didn’t cool off too much. I would definitely stay here again. Great place!
Heather
We loved the view and location. Staff were friend and helpful, great breakfast. The views!
Maureen
Nice location on the bay and a short walk to the town
LISA
Excellent base for exploring Kinsale. Staff were outstanding. Definitely will stay again.
Paula
We had a lovely stay. The hotel is in a good location to walk to shops or pubs. Front desk staff were very kind and helpful.
Sarah
We absolutely loved our stay at the Trident. We had a room with a water view and it was so lovely to look out and see the boats. The breakfast was delicious, the staff was very courteous, the hotel itself was clean and conveniently located within walking distance of downtown. The downtown area has a variety of restaurants and pubs and shops - I would HIGHLY recommend staying here and checking out Kinsale.

Gorgeous views of harbor and close to city center
Easy parking in the winter months since it isn't as busy. We were upgraded to a harbor view and the room is lovely. Loved being able to see the dolphins in the harbor in the morning. Staff is extremely friendly and our overall stay was amazing. We'd definitely come against.
Vicki
Wonderful hotel ... really enjoyed Kinsale and convenient but quiet. Only problem we had was that there was only a comforter and no sheet - it was a bit warm sleeping - even in October!
Janine
Loved everything about this property and staff. Bed was comfortable. Great pillows. Great hospitality. Good food.

Violetta
Beautiful view and a perfect location to everything.
Isabel
Room was extremely hot. Opening the window was a very noisy option. The small fan provided did not do the work. Very uncomfortable all night.
Stephanie
This is a great location with the most amazing views of Kinsale. The staff were brilliant. I will be staying here next time I am in Kinsale. Also are in the restaurant and the food was superb.

Trident seems to be the nicest hotel in town and is easily walkable to pubs and restaurants. The setting for breakfast overlooking the marina is lovely :) Would definitely stay here again.
Stephen

Great location
Overall our stay at the Trident was very nice considering the options available in Kinsale.
The location is perfect. The staff very friendly.
The two downsides were the fact that the room had no air con and was very hot, even with the window open. And also we were on the first floor overlooking the car park. The room has huge windows overlooking the busy area and we felt overexposed. The room had blackout curtains and blinds which is fine, but the view is lovely and we’d have preferred lighter curtains so we can still enjoy the view with additional privacy of people being able to see right in at us.
Other than that, everything was great.

Gorgeous views, friendly staff.

Absolutely beautiful hotel by the Marina. The beds are comfortable and the waterfall shower in the bathroom was divine! You can use the indoor pool, sauna and gym at the sister property right door at no fee. The breakfast was really good; ordered eggs Benedict …so good.
Jason Philip
We loved our stay at the Trident. The hotel and our room were super clean. The staff is very friendly. We want to highlight Marta at the reception and Hannah and Ania at breakfast! The location is fantastic! We recommend it and will be back! Thank you!
Mari
Beautiful!
Ann
Would highly recommend
Very relaxing and a terrific view. No allowances made for washing your hair if you don't want a shower at the same time and very poor lighting for trying to put on your makeup.
Kristine
Wonderful hotel! Spacious room. Beautiful decor. Friendly staff. Amazing breakfast.

Excellent Stay in a Beautiful and Quaint Town
Excellent stay, we were provided a complimentary upgrade to the best suite in the hotel for the three days. Excellent views, good breakfast, best location.

Marla
Loved the location and the room was beautiful, couldn’t wait to soak in the oversized tub!!
Charles
We were disappointed we were only staying one day. The hotel and the view were the best of our trip thru Ireland.
James
Great room with an excellent view. Hugh, The front desk manager was awsome. Friendly, knowledgable and helpful. He recommendeda wonderful restaurant and called ahead to make reservations.
Rebecca
Nice hotel and great location. Staff were friendly and hotel was clean. Only issue was the room temperature as we were not able to cool the room down.
Steve
Great location, very clean, very comfortable and quiet.
Eliza
I absolutely loved my stay! The view was to die for, and I can’t believe how affordable it was for such a view! I loved how the window could open so I could take in the lovely sea air. The Tavern had wonderful food (the chowder, mussels, chips - yum!). If i’m ever lucky enough to return to Kinsale, I’ll stay here
Daryl
This hotel sits right on the water, looking at ancient ruins on the island. The little town is very walkable and the food was really good.
Daniel
Such a lovely mid century modern hotel in one of the sweetest towns imaginable
Jeannie
We loved our stay at the Trident. The hotel and room were very clean. The bed was big and comfy. We didn’t mind the short walk along the water to get to the town center. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

IRELAND NOVEMBER 2021
Great Hotel in Kinsale. It was right on the harbor. Looks liked it was recently remodeled and in excellent shape. rooms where above average size and the bathrooms where the best. Hotel restaurant and bar where excellent and food and service was excellent. Breakfast was excellent as well with both hot and cold servings. Parking was on site and free.
Karl
Good position for getting in to town. Good views of the harbour. Nice big room. Extractor fan seemed to only work on a timer across the hotel so meant a late shower fill the room with steam and the noise of it began early in the morning. Breakfast was nice!
Howard
We wanted a hotel conveniently located with a view and onsite parking which The Trident offers. Staff at front desk and restaurant all friendly and ready to assist. The reason for the one star deduction is the heating system. I could not sleep well because the heating system is centrally located so only the front desk could turn it down but would not since it would mean turning the heat down for all guest in the part of the building we were in. Even with our window open it was too hot for me to sleep comfortably with a comforter on and a bit cold with window open and no comforter.
Gillian
super Hotel
We had a wonderful stay the Trident. Our room was very clean and had a lovely view out to the harbour. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection. All Covid 19 regulations were strictly adhered to and I felt very safe. Staff were all very friendly and helpful with a very personal touch. I would definitely stay here again.

I know we are in different times but if they can’t do it right don’t do it at all we taught we were going for a relaxing wend not so dinner and breakfast had to be booked you were only allowed drink while eating or in your room staff didn’t seem to have a clue several people complaining we eat up in the blue haven hotel both nights will be back to the blue haven
Nils
Beautiful setting, very comfortable rooms with great view.
We opted to eat in the hotel and while two of the party really enjoyed their diner, the Hamburgers on the menu leave a great deal to be desired.
