Only good review I have is the bed, as I needed a good night sleep. Everything else was very poor. Reception on arrival were slow miserable and not helpful with no enthusiasm. Expensive small glass aperitivo from the “bar” and we could not drink them as they tasted so bad. The glasses were still on the table a few hrs later. The food was awful.. rubbery and burnt. How can you serve thick rubbery veg and tough chicken with burnt chips at a 4*? as well as the staff with no enthusiasm. Max 2*

My children and I had a really nice stay at Imola, the hotel has a great cafe next door and a laundromat that’s impeccable and modern. The neighborhood is quiet and really nice. The little cafe next door has people hanging out at 11pm.

Just a short drive from the F1 track, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean. All this made for an enjoyable quick stop on our road trip. The highlight was the pizza and best pasta ever (chef’s special) that we enjoyed in the hotel restaurant.

It’s Ok.

The hotel has plenty of parking and we were among the crowd in town for a track day at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari. The entrance area is a little run down and needs new carpet, but the check in was quick and easy and the bar is nice. The hotel restaurant is average and I wish I had ordered something other than the Griliata Mista Di Carne. The breakfast was good and offered a good variety with quality food, but the room is a little small. Supposedly there is another breakfast area on the ground floor. The view from the 10th floor breakfast room was nice. The room was really spacious and included a king sized bed. It was a little hot for me, so we had to sleep with the window open, which meant we had to listen to people yelling and the 3 AM sport bike racing through the city. You have no control over the temperature. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. The bathroom had good water pressure and plenty of hot water.

Wouldn't stay again.

Disappointed with the room which was dated. The hotel was a mish mash of decoration and had an unpleasant smell. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast room was full and there was only one hot drinks machine, with a queue of eople waiting to get a drink. Someone brought a dog into the breakfast room which kept jumping up people. There was a rude waitress who would not let me fill the teapot up with hot water, despite teapots being provided. She waved her hands at me and shooed me away!!! Spaces in the garage too small, people parking across two bays.

I suspect there are Bolivian prison cells with more charm and character than the room at Donattello.

The staff here were extremely helpful. During our stay they helped us make arrangements with other places that we could not do on our own due to the language barrier. Belinda took the time and made the arrangements for us. The manager was also very helpful with the process. Just for the staff alone this place gets 5stars.

Great night away!

Stayed here for the night on our way from Bologna as we wanted to go to Imola. Room was nice and large, clean and comfy. Nice staff. Ate at the restaurant where my husband had one of the nicest steaks he said he’s ever eaten. I had pasta (lovely!) unfortunately pizza chef was on holiday but kids managed to find something they liked too!

The hotel is just ok. The front desk staff was moody and not too helpful. Though clean, the non-smoking room smelled like smoke. But the biggest problem was that you have to pay extra to use the pool and spa, and with the pool used as the property’s main photo to entice you to stay there, it seems a bit sleazy. We

This was a great hotel. We rented a car and it was a great central point for day trips. It is a bit far off the highway but not too far... doable for sure. By there wasn’t really anything closer. The staff were all amazing. Breakfast was fantastic and a great addition. The tub was great!! If you do not want a smoking room make sure that’s clear at check in. Parking is in a garage and felt safe. There are a couple of places to eat at in the area that’s walking which is a bonus. Overall good place for the price especially if you have a car.

We stayed as a business group. Staff was very helpful and service-minded. The gym was very small. Breakfast consisted mostly of selections of (sweet) cake.

The Donatello works fine as a \"just a bed and breakfast\", just don't expect anything out of the ordinary.

Good clean hotel, 2.2k from Race circuit so needed a car. Hotel Reception very helpful and arranged car. Food in restaurant good but only problem was the children's play are in restaurant, very noisy with small children running around until late.
Parking in car park quite full, but parking in road ok.

This hotel perfectly suited our needs, as we were in Imola for the World Superbikes, and it was only minutes from the track and the parc Acgua Minerale. As that was the primary reason for our visit we didn't get chance to explore the surrounding areas, so cannot comment on how close it is to the town, or restaurants. But to be honest the quality of the food in the restaurant in the hotel was such we didn't want to eat anywhere else. The restaurant staff were lovely, very friendly, and attentive, the reception staff were very helpful and spoke good English, The rooms were nice, with a shower in the bathroom, and free wifi. The breakfast was fantastic, loads of choice, from full cooked to fresh fruit. All in all a lovely hotel.

We stayed one night because it was difficult to find a hotel more central to Bolgona. The downside it the taxi fare from the airport is around 70 euros. If you were heading towards Rimini it would be a great stopover. Bar was expensive 10 euros for 2 x half lagers!!!

OLD HOTEL POOR SERVICE, GREAT FOOD

The hotel has seen better days, it needs painting or refurbishing. It looks outdated and kind of old. The reception staff is very kind but not very well prepared. For example we asked if the Imola train station had a place to keep our luggage since we were going to MOdena for the day and then to Florence and they did not advise us correctly. They just offered to keep our luggage instead of telling us that there is a place like that at the Bologna station and there was no need to go back to the hotel. We could have gone directly from Modena, to Bologna and then to Florence instead of loosing 3 hours going back to the hotel for our luggage. That is something people from the reception should know. The food at the Restaurant was a great surprise, SUPERB! But again, the service, awful, two days in a road we left wothout coffee because the forgot we asked for some and we had to leave. Its a pitty.They brought the dishes but not the cuttlery to eat it. and so on....... I am sure there must be better choices at Imola.

Hotel entrance is from a public car park surrounded by shabby shops and businesses, in a residential neighborhood, but once inside it gets much better. Pleasant bar and reception, good breakfast room on 10th floor. Room was clean and comfortable. All a bit dated but generally good or better.

Hotel Donatello - Imola ideal for Autodromo

Good quality business style hotel but just as good for tourist travel. Close to the Autodromo Enzo and Dino Ferrari so ideal for motorsport fans.
Spacious clean rooms with good levels of comfort. Breakfast in room with beautiful panoramic views over surrounding hills and countryside.
Service in restaurant was a bit disappointing due to the large number of diners and not enough staff to cope. But otherwise a perfectly good hotel with friendly staff both in reception and serving behind the bar. Would definitely use again.

La stanza era spaziosa e pulita con una bella vista dal nono piano. Il letto era grande e comodissimo. In stanza c’era il bollitore con tea, caffè solubile e camomilla. Tutto il personale gentile e accogliente. Garage coperto gratuito. Colazione varia e buona. Il centro storico di Imola si raggiunge in auto in 5 minuti. Hotel consigliato!!!

Das Hotel hat mit den Bildern auf den verschiedenen Seiten nichts zu tun. Von der Tiefgarage aus bekommt man schon den ersten schlechten Eindruck von dem Hotel. Von dort aus geht man über einen Gang mit einem alten, schmutzigen roten Teppich zu einen Aufzug der alles andere als sauber und gepflegt aussieht. Das gleiche betrifft alle Gänge zu den Zimmer. Die Zimmer selbst sind sauberer als das Hotel aber sehr altgebacken.

Check in and check out much to long and complicated, local people were paying much less then tourists. The breakfast was surprisingly good and varied. Animals allowed, heard barking all night in other room, so was an animal in my room before.

A bit distant location, but a nice hotel

Reception was friendly and helpful. Room was very big and kind of retro style. Breakfast room was crowded and a bit difficult to use when there were a lot of people. Location is about 3-4km from the city centre, but you can find restaurants, cafés and a supermarket just around the hotel. Also self service laundry is right next to the hotel. One negative (that couldn't be quickly found out on the hotel description) was the use of the pool. Pool is a part of SPA services and that means you'll have to pre reserve it and pay for it. 15e/2,5h. But in the heat it was worth it. Pool area is very small, but nice.

Toute la communication ce fait sur des piscines grandes et petites qui assure qu’elles sont ouvertes et ? Rien, à cause du COVID disent-ils! Ce ne serait pas un problème si ils n’annonçaient pas que c’était ouvert et nous avions choisi cet endroit pour la piscine... Leur réaction et réponse nous ont bien fait sentir qu’il étaient bien au fait de l’annonce mensongère et qu’ils s’en servaient, de plus le service en restauration était plus que médiocre voire agressif.
C’est le seul endroit dans notre road trip (3 établissements) qui était décevant...
