Great stay right in Limoges centre! I love the big room with a terrace facing the square. Staffs were kind and helpful from dining choices to booking a taxi to the airport. I didn’t eat there so no comment on food. I would highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Thank you.

I would go back! The rooms with balcony over the square are worth the extra. Hotel is generally tired, clearly was high quality once, but general areas dated. Rooms and ensuite had been updated and was 9f a high standard.

Breakfast in the room was great. Air conditioning most welcome.
Again couldn’t get parked because our car has a top box. Managed a space outside the hotel. Felt the Hotel was secure and ideal for a city stop. Location great. Would have gone to the busy street for dinner had we known. (See pic) Nice bathroom/room.

It was in an excellent central location with easy access to the key sites. The only real negative wasthe very popular coffee bar at the enrance to the hotel which was over priced with very poor service and full of smokers day and night.
The buffet breakfast was very poor value if you were vegetarian or vegant there is an excellent pita pit to eat at at the rear of the proprty that has excellent fresh vegetarian and vegan options. The hotel room was small but adequate although the design of the bathroom was poor with a glass door meaning that use at night meant the light would disturb anyone else sleeping .

Very clean, and processes related to COVID appeared safe. However, building is tired, and considering so few people were staying the little things could have been attended to with more detail - room service breakfast not arriving until prompted on each day of stay, charge to upgrade to balcony room even though full amount paid with very restricted service.

Great room, but shower doesn’t keep water inside shower area. We had water all over the bathroom floor. Comfortable shower though. The cart with 3 wheels led the luggage to fall off, but fit inside the elevator. The more practical carts with 4 wheels hardly fit in the elevator! Rooms are great.
They also should warn that the elevator always stop at the reception level.

The hotel is at the place de la République, that is under construction, very hard to get to. The public parking that is next to the hotel is in terrible conditions. It was very hard to get an opened restaurant because it was Sunday. The hotel needs renovation because it looks very old. The staff was friendly.

First impression, easy public parking (€12 for 24 hours - August 2018) and very friendly reception team with good English.

We had one of the Superior rooms with a balcony looking over the square. Good size, clean and comfy.

Good buffet breakfast choices include scrambled egg, pigs in blankets and naked bangers. Plus all the usual cereals, fruit, continental meats, cheeses and pastries.

Limited room service for evening meals but plenty of cafes and restaurants in easy Ealing distance.

A very pleasant experience. We booked on the day we stayed as it is very near to the old Citie. The welcome was warm and we were again greeted from the hotel parking lot. Room size is good with a private outside area for the superior rooms. Rooms are modern in design reflecting the overall theme of the hotel. A bath in the corner of the room means you have to be good friends if sharing although there is an enclosed shower too. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the night of our stay but the breakfast buffet ticked all the boxes for variety and quality. Overall beyond expectations and easy to recommend.

The checking in process was the speediest I have encountered. No fuss, no messing about, which was great as one of our party was disabled and had a traumatic flight experience so just wanted to get settled into the room. We did not ask for three rooms together but the hotel had arranged this anyway - even taking into account that one of the rooms needed to be a fully accessible room. The rooms were well equipped and spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee making in room, which was great and complimentary water every day waiting in the fridge. Hotel was right in the centre so excellent for all local sight seeing. eating etc.

Great hotel....not expecting this level

We arrived in Limogue in Aug to spend a few days before driving to Aigre to attend a wedding. No great expectations about the hotel BUT it was great! We had booked a room with a balcony....but it was too hot to use this other than for drying washing. Location to enjoy town was 5*. View of the Square was OK. Bathroom/shower were roomy and great (heat/pressure/space). Bed and room was also great with large comfortable bed and space for clothes and desk to work at.

We were so impressed we made our farewells early from the gite booked for the wedding ....... and rebooked at Mercure. The room (no balcony requested this visit) was even better, great town view, great window blinds, great bathroom and shower, great space.

The staff (perfect English spoken) were all great. printed out our boarding passes. Informed us re parking underground (not complimentary but not expensive -and with direct access to hotel).

Limogue has a visitor friendly parking approach so on arriving you can pull into a 20mins free zone to access reception to get more info about parking options. Beware, town car parks are underground and a bit tight to manoeuvre if you have a large vehicle.

We arrived after a long 5 hour drive. Your hotel check in clerk spoke English and he was very nice and helpful. He recommended a restaurant right next door that was excellent. We loved our room with a view of the city center and it had a balcony. What also we liked was the automatic room darkening shades. Our room was so quiet that you did not hear anything outside. That was wonderful! I would highly recommend this hotel if your staying in Limoges.

This was my second stay in one week. It speaks volumes. For a person bent on quality, I could not fault the hotel The room service was particularly very good. The best burger I tasted. Ever! And I'm 62 years of age. And being critical of French cuisine, this was a very welcome surprise. I would strongly recommend this hotel for family and business.

Had some difficulty to get into the parking garage. The hotel is central and relatively easy to find. The room was modern and pleasant to stay in. Decent hotel but some issues

I spent one night here on a day that was extremely hot outside. This is a typical hotel for the Accor chain. Not much character but generally OK. The breakfast was very good. The downside was that one side of the hotel is next to a busy main road. Earplugs are essential if you are staying here. The duvet was far too thick given the temperature. If you are not bothered by traffic noise then this hotel is quite acceptable.

This Mercure Limoges Royal Limousin in Limoges, France is located right next to the train station and walking distance from shopping, restaurants, historic sites and the old city. Our room was clean and quiet, as a premium room, and had a balcony overlooking the park and shopping district. We were comfortable and slept well. Another of our party had a standard room, but it was a bit tired and not so nice. Our companion could not switch rooms because the hotel was full. The staff is very helpful and friendly, but the parking situation caused us a bit of stress. There was a Christmas fair going on the the park and we were told we could park in front only to find it was a violation and the front parking area was only for the fair merchants and closed in at night with a barricade. So, one needs to be sure of the parking for overnight stays by checking with the authorities.

Better inside than out!!

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to flying back to the UK from Limoges airport.

Inside, it is what you would expect of a business-style Mercure. It's clean, fairly modern and it was clear that it had good business facilities. Wifi was excellent, breakfast was comprehensive. Our room was large, had a balcony and a decent bathroom - all great for France!

Hotel staff were friendly and happy to give instructions on the best way to reach the airport.

The hotel is situated on a main square, to the left there is department store Galleries Lafayette, directly opposite Monoprix, so it is a good base for a bit of quick shopping. It's the outside of the hotel that lets it down,. It looks like a 1970's block of flats and Mercure really need to invest in upgrading the facade.

The hotel itself doesn't have parking but there is a Vinci car park next door, which has specific access to the hotel. Prices are reasonable. It cost just over 6 euros to park overnight.

Would happily recommend it as a base for exploring Limoges and the surrounding area.

This was NOT a stay. There had been an error in the booking dates .... I stayed tjhere on the 2th May for one night and was given the date 25th May ie: 2/5/2014 and NOT 25/5 ! I have been charged for the TWO nights but was not even in France on the second week. No refund! The hotel was ace and staff helpful, but for the one non-existant supposed booking. I still await a recompense

Hotel staff provided direction with excursion information and walking information to local sites. Very pleasant stay, A good location, about 10 mins walk from train station or 20 min drive from airport. Arriving mid afternoon, parking was easy in area outside hotel on Pl de la Republique. Free from 19;00 to 09:00. Pay machine was Euro 2.6 for 2 hours. Parking here was full by 18:00 though, but you could drop off and park nearby.
Check-in easy with very helpful staff. Hotel on about six floors with balcony rooms overlooking pl. de la Rep. Ours was superior room with tea/coffee facilities, free wifi. flat TV, shutters to the windows keeping room quiet. Air con was very welcome in August and quiet enough to leave on all night. Bathrooms clean with bath and shower although no shower curtain meant this was no option.
Breakfast super, hot/cold with good service. No restaurant for evening meal but you're only a short stroll from nearby restaurants, some on the Place.

We were on a stop-off on our way home from S. France, so picked on price and reviews. Lucky enough to choose this place, which was right in the centre of Limoges. Clean and comfortable - looked like most of the other guests were business people. Rooms were a good size and clean and comfortable. Although parking is not provided, we got a space right in front of the hotel entrance (free overnight, then pay and display - lady on reception tipped us off that we could pay for an hour the night before and save us from rushing out before 9am to put money in the machine!). There is also an underground paid for car park which looked as though it should be quite secure. Several bars and restaurants around the square, we gravitated towards the one with live music...

The hotel was fairly easy to find with sat nav and parking is relatively easy either in the under ground carpark or if you lucky at the front of he hotel.
The reception was very welcoming and their English was far better than my rudimentary French. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, including my own! The only down side was a small toilet and and shower screen over the bath, which let me drench the bathroom when I had a shower. The only other slight surprise was the hotel had no food facilility other than breakfast, however walk out the door and there are several restaurants to choose from. Overall I would rate this as a great hotel to explore limoge for a few days or an overnight stay on your trip south.

Ignore the outside it's much better inside.

We stayed for one night on our way up from the south of France. Sat Nav found it without any problems. Good undergound parking 10euros for 24hrs. Hotel slap bang in the middle of a bustling square. Internally the hotel was good. Room a good size (great shower) and very clean. Externally the hotel is nothing to look at. Walk outside and you're in the thick of it. Nice place

Hotel was nice and clean, the room was comfortable. The location was good right in the center of town. Not much to do in the town.
