Don't expect a red carpet

My travel plans shifted and I arrived a day late at the hotel without notification (my fault). Because of this, B&B canceled my reservation altogether, and I ended up paying for an additional night simply to avoid broiling in the midsummer German heat.

Neither Hotels.com nor B&B offered me any sympathy. The fairly cold hotel staff were unable to offer me so much as a discount for my troubles. Even free breakfast would've been nice! I'm a bit frustrated that an \"oopsie\" ended up costing me 200% more than I originally paid.

Bathroom was a bit small but clean. Room as adequate in size and clean as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We took overnight trips from Bonn to Cologne and Amsterdam and they held onto our large luggage for us which was a huge help. The bus stop was out of commission due to road construction which was not helpful but that is no fault of the hotel.

This was a good price and quite comfortable. The shower was nice and steady temperature, the beds comfortables. The room was small but effective as well as the bathroom. Havent see a big bathroom to date anywhere. The breakfast was excellent, GF and DF for me, fruits and toast and boiled eggs. The staff was helpful. The air cond was working well and we added a fan. They also brought us more pillows. I would be back for sure. Easy to walk downtown or take the tram.

Nice hotel within a walking distance from the historic center of Bonn. Good condition, clean, and nice staff. The leaking overflow pipe of our bathroom handbasin was addressed as soon as we reported it. Will stay again at this hotel when in Bonn next time.

AC didn’t work at all. Couldn’t open windows wide enough to let enough fresh air in. It was sooooooooo hot, couldn’t fall asleep whole night, despite the fact it was 12 degrees outside. Staff was very friendly and welcoming though.

A good decent Ibis hotel,Ibis is typically is for the budget-orientated guest.
Clean ,and room was ok except a very small bathroom
If you are over 170 cm then you will not be too impressed about about the space around the toilet.

No family rooms available as specified online but they sure as hell gave no apology at the front desk. Two adults and one child slept on 2 tiny beds pushed together! Alarms also sounded at 3am for about 15 minutes. Not sure if someone pulled the alarm or if cigarette smoke was detected but loud alarms at 3 am are not appreciated before a big day at an amusement park.

Good value but beware that it is noisy!!

Hotel was clean and service was decent... Everything was sufficient to my expectations, as it was an extremely good value for the two nights I was there. Be aware that you must bring earplugs since it was possible to hear every door in the hallway slamming shut, which made it very difficult to sleep peacefully.

the hotel was fantastic, staff were very friendly and helpful. the room was a perfect size, bathroom on the small side. The area was ok plenty places to eat, the only let down for this hotel was the price of breakfast 11 euro each for an average buffet was quite expensive.

Find the water

Hotel has very friendly and helpful staff. The gripe about the room is the bathroom and shower. The space is just too small. Toilet that is hard to move around. The shower basin has one cut out corner and is small in itself. In the end you don't even need that space as you have to push yourself into the corner to catch some water from the shower head. The pressure is too low (or shower head not centered enough over the shower basin). Cleanliness was good though.
For an 11€ breakfast I would expect a bit more imagination.

We stayed for just one night. The hotel was easy to find and convenient to walk to the centre of town. The parking, though not cheap (€10), was welcome. The room was small but well-planned and comfortable, also quiet, and we had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was too expensive at €11 each but there are nice cafes nearby. If we come to Bonn again we will re-book here.

Nice hotel-just a little hard to find

Nice, comfy, clean hotel. It's just a little way out of the centre & a little tricky to find. A couple of places to eat close by, so we didn't venture into Bonn to eat in case we got lost in the dark!! But no complaints about the actual hotel.

A good place to stay

We had a very pleasant stay at this nice, very clean hotel. Great location, excellent prize, friendly staff, free wifi (in the lobby, not a given in Germany). Rooms are small, but nicely furnished. Overall a very good experience. Will go there again if I visit Bonn again.

Ariel is so very cordial.

The Ibis Bonn was the first hotel I booked in our Europe trip. The front desk manager, Ariel got our trip off to a great start. Very cordial; gave us some great tips on Bonn and Cologne. The breakfast at this Ibis was excellent. Our room \"compact\" but clean and comfortable and that is just what we needed. I recommend the Ibis Bonn to all.

About 15 mins walk from the station, on bus route, sme local restuarants and a pizzeria nearby. Good facilities and free wifi access in lobby. My room was small but clean, basic but very good value. I would stay there again. Friendly and helpful staff.

IBIS Bonn - The \"IKEA\" of hotels

IBIS Bonn did not nearly reach my expectations. The hotel clerks were not exactly rude, but they were exactly friendly and helpful either. The room was very small, and had a very cheap \"feel\" to them - much like IKEA furniture (if you know what I mean). The location of the hotel seemed to be in a decent neighborhood, but not centrally located (20 minute bus ride from main train station). Given the cost of stay was more than all other hotels during my 3 week trip to Germany, I expected much more.

The IBIS as pretty much as you would expect for the price, small boxy room but clean and tidy. Hard to say much else as all really was pretty average, nothing spectacular but nothing particularly negative

Breakfast is expensive for what you get and as with some other European hotels you don't get a kettle or tea tray in the room, which is a disappointment for us Brits!

Immer sauber und überaus nettes Personal!
Lediglich die Preisgestaltung wäre zu kritisieren, hier werden die besonderen Angebote in der Stadt (z.B. Weihnachtsmarkt o. Ä.) zu Teils kräftigen Preissprüngen genutzt. Da dies aber weithin, allgemeine Praxis ist, allenfalls als Randkritik zu sehen.

Tiny room for the price. Unfortunately, the bathroom had no ventilation system, so the fungus was visible at the window and in the corners. Luckily, the shower cabin itself was clean, so it looks like the fungus is being regularly removed. Parking is a drama! Expensive parking on the street, if there is a place at all. Even more expensive in own parking garage, 18eur/day. Ok for a short stay if you just need a place to sleep.

Mir hat das Hotel ganz gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. Der Fernseher hat zwar nicht funktioniert (habe es erst recht spät in der Nacht bemerkt), aber das war nicht weiter tragisch. Ich habe es auch erst beim Auschecken gemeldet.
Was mich genervt hat war das extrem hellhörige Zimmer - jedes Handyklingeln in den Nachbarzimmern war zu hören.

Da das Hotel an zwei stark befahrenen Straßen liegt, war es leider recht laut. Da außerdem gerade alles renoviert wird, könnte man auch im Bad einige Ausbesserungen vornehmen, vor allem eine Heizung einbauen, so dass man nicht immer die Tür aufmachen und per Schalter von außen den Heizlüfter anstellen muss. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich.
