May not have been the best time to visit but felt the hotel lacked atmosphere and staff were disinterested. Access from the room to the lift meant going through a fire door and there was an unpleasant smell in the area, possibly damp. Room was nice enough, dining room was cool and quiet and had to go looking for staff. Don't think Ill visit again..

I expected significantly more for the price paid. The location is excellent for those working at the Venusberg campus, as the hotel is only a few minutes away. The rooms, including the bathrooms, are spacious; however, the furniture appears outdated and was at times not properly cleaned. The breakfast quality is below average, and the dining room lacks a cozy or welcoming atmosphere.

Very poor check in. No information given. Came down for dinner at 8pm to be told kitchen was closed and no food available even though lady on reception said food was on until 9pm. Restaurant manager very rude and didn’t care. Bar roped off and closed and nowhere even to sit and have a drink.
No advice given about where else to try and eat in the area. Staff didn’t care.
Breakfast just as bad. Dirty tables. Uninspiring food which just sat there for ages without being refreshed.
Supposed to be a 4 star Superior hotel. Not even close. Have been travelling to Germany for years. Worst experience ever.

No coffe machine in the room, no elevator that allows transportation of heavy bags without using one flight of stairs, no water bottles provided every day, only ine bottle upon check in. The restaurant menu is good but doesn't change. Otherwise very pleasant atmospheric place to stay.

It took almost 1 hour to get CHECKED-IN.

Firstly we got a room without a window. It actually had a window but it was like 40 cm on 40 cm like a window in a cell in jail.
The photo stated, that it has a balcony but it didn't. The photo are false advertising. Be aware

Beautiful location in the woods with partial view over the Rhine. Room price was more than reasonable. Staff super friendly. Disappointing was no coffee machine in the room and parking too expensive. Bar not in operation due to COVID-19. Seemed like would have been a nice spot to relax. All in all definitely recommendable.

This is really nice hotel. Highly recommended!
The property located at the top of small mountain in beautiful forest and has breathtaking views.

We had a mountain view room. Our initial room didn't satisfy this booking, but we got upgraded to a suite for free with a stunning view. Perhaps explicitly request mountain view, because I think the hotel cannot see this feature when they get the request from hotels.com

The location is super. It is a quiet surroudings and a marvellous view from the terrace. Our room was big and nice. The kitchen/ breakfast and dinner was superior. We were not happy to pay for the parking a rate of 12 € per day. Also the bed was not maken as it should be. And at a time the coffe cuos were not filled up ( small details).

A real Gem of a hotel

This was a great hotel to stay in and it’s a shame we only had one night. A beautiful evening sat on the Terrace having a lovely view and a room with a balcony. My only niggle would be the lack of tea/coffee facilities in the room but this certainly didn’t distracted from a great stay.

Nice position with a quiet hilltop location in the trees,
Good parking facilities
Good room with a balcony, sadly only a view of the trees....
Had the plunge pool and spa to ourselves again, and its just as chilly! This is the second time we visited the hotel.
Service a little slow in the restaurant although we weren't in a rush.

Minor paperwork issue dealt with swiftly with learning for the maitre d', based on mis-filing our booking / reservation electronically.

Lovely quiet hotel, convenient to Bonn.

A lovely hotel surrounded by woodland so very quiet. Comfortable, room with a small terrace overlooking the wood. Large, comfy bed & good bathroom facilities. Restaurant had a large terrace, so was pleasant to sit out to eat. Rather pricey but worth it for the view. Staff were very efficient & pleasant. Unfortunately, the bar was closed for the duration of our stay, due to circumstances beyond their control (water damage) The only improvement would be coffee making facilities in the room, especially as the bar was closed. A short car drive to Bonn, & an ideal place to return to after a busy day shopping. Free secure parking too!

Beautiful, Serene Stay!

I stayed at Dorint for a business meeting and increased my stay with two more night for personal time. I have enjoyed all five nights. The place is beautiful. The ability to eat al fresco is a big plus. A beautiful view is offered to you while eating. The food was excellent.
The hotel is about 10-15 minutes away from Bonn City Center and there are two buses that service the area. It is nice to come back to a nice and peaceful room after days of shopping and sightseeing. I highly recommend this hotel.

A haven of tranquility.

The Dorint at the Venusberg part of Bonn is a haven of tranquillity in a rather busy and congested city.
Relax on your balcony, the bar or the terraces rather than leaving for the City. Walking in the surrounding woods is a pleasurable option. The hotel itself is very well laid out and the rooms are impressive. You get two comfy chairs as well as the worksurface chair. The restaurant was delightful and the quality of service and food were exceptional. The staff are well able to chat in excellent English.

Quiet and clean hotel

The hotel is outside the city centre in a very quiet area. A german bakery is about 2 minutes away by car. Very comfortable beds and rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any kind of question.

The only downside is the gym. 1 bike, 1 elliptical and 1 some sort of treadmill in the spa area is not really a \"health club\". It is already warm down there just due to the relaxing area of the sauna.

The hotel was very nice and relaxing. We throughly enjoyed our stay as this was the last few days of a two week trip to Europe and we wanted some quiet time with the ability to explore the area. I would recommend having a car as it is slightly remote from the main town (just want we wanted). Otherwise you will need Uber or a Taxi to get into Bonn

The location for this hotel is beautiful, it looks like you're in a forest. The staff was so kind, and made sure we had a great stay. We were on a 2 week trip through Europe so we stayed at a lot of hotels, but this was one of our favorites. The rooms are very large for Europe, and everything in the mini fridge was free! I do wish the restaurant prices were more affordable, I think it was $22 euro for breakfast and it's a drive into town to get other food, but other than that we loved it.

Very good hotel

I am permanent returning customer to Dorint hotels. Stayed for some days at Dorint Venusberg on a businesstrip to the nearby Hospital. My son 10 years was with me. All was excellent except one matter: the Wifi didn t work in the room, but it worked in the lobby area. The reception knew about this and it was in the total hotel and a server failure somewhere. However it could not be fixed during our complete stay.
But I have a German simcard for 3G so I used that instead.
But as a conclusion this hotel is very good and a safe choice and my son was also very pleased and was skating with roller blades in front of the hotel and we were down at the indoor pool area and so on.

Excellent Hotel...With a Few Minor Issues

We really loved the location of the hotel...a few kilometers outside of Bonn surrounded by hilly woods. It was beautiful. The room was great, as was the hotel in general. We had two small issues. For some reason we kept having difficulty getting hot water. On the first morning it took a call to maintenance to finally get hot water so that we could shower. The second issue that we had was on the first morning as well. We had breakfast included with the room rate; however, when we got to the dining room there was almost no food left to eat. There were still two hours to go before breakfast was over, but in the time that I and my family were there to eat, the breakfast buffet never really restocked their food. I walked away hungry. The second day proved to be much better at the breakfast, and we were all very satisfied. I think they were having a bad morning for some reason on that first day. Overall, we satisfied with the hotel. It is great that the breakfast was included, and that parking in the garage was free.

This hotel is more for business people and is rather \"soul-less\". Breakfast extra and expensive so we tended to go up the road to a local coffee shop. Small bar not open on any regular basis. Air conditioning in room didn't work very efficiently and one morning we had no hot water - but we're not offered any discount or apology on check-out. Our previous experience in this hotel last year was quite different, which is the reason we returned, but we wouldn't stay here again.

Quiet and comfortable retreat

Stayed 2 nights, can't fault anything! If you are after a peaceful night sleep this is the place. Extremely attentive staff at reception and the restaurant, looked after my husband who felt very unwell, and went out of their way to sort something out for him.
One thing though - the safe in our room wasn't working, we left a note for the housekeeping but it was not fixed before we left.
Breakfast was varied and tasty, although could do with a bit more fresh veg.
Otherwise thank you for the lovely stay! :)

Very dissatisfied with the Wi Fi policy. It was not made clear that the charge for a 24 hr. period applied for the 24 hr period, whether or not I was connected. Most hotels I use there is free Wi Fi or the charge is applicable only to time connected to the internet. Also, the laundry was returned minus dress socks and in their place was someone else's socks.

Enjoyed our stopover here enormously. It is well outside Bonn, somewhat remote but with good views; we knew this beforehand and we were very pleased with our choice. Upon arrival, we had a lovely walk in the woods and then ate in the hotel restaurant, which was very good indeed

Hotel in itself was fine but my main problem was the internet didn't work on the afternoon I arrived so spent 3-4 hours messing around. I was also woken up at 5am (my room was above the entrance) and I'm not sure if they were cleaning but the noise continued for ar least another hour. The bar doesn't open to 10pm and is quite depressing and the swimming pool and gym facilities are laughable. Saying al that I think though for a leisure trip it would be a nice place to stay.

Secluded but not too far away

This hotel is about 15-20 minutes from any place you may be going , a car is very useful. The hotel is clean, comfortable and well appointed. free parking underground. This area is not too crowded so this hotel is likely to be sparsely populated. Quiet and no complaints. I'd stay there again.

Great hotel, great staff, great location.

The hotel is situated in a quiet location which was great for sleeping. There are running/walking trails right behind the hotel which we took advantage of. There is also a fruit/vegetable stand at the end of the road that leads to the hotel. We were able to walk down to it everyday for fresh fruit. There is a market very close to the hotel which we walked to several times. Since our room had a refrigerator, we were able to store milk for our daily cereal. (We were on a budget and provided our own breakfasts). We didn't use the pool/sauna/exercise area since we were so busy seeing the sights but it looked great. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Dorint Hotel Bonn

This hotel is in a hillside neighbourhood not far from Bad Godesberg. The Burg Godesberg is visible from the hotel restaurant as are the Drachenfels ruins further up the Rhein. The hotel staff are outstanding. They make the guest feel very welcome. They are very helpful. The accomodations were excellent. This is the ideal location for someone who wants a quiet location. If one is looking for something close to Bonn's nightlife, then one should look elsewhere. While there were tourists at this hotel, we found most of the guests were business travellers.

Do I really need a title?

The hotel is at the top of a hill, in a park. There is no realistic way to get there, or to get to other things, than with a car.

The restaurant is excellent. My impression is that Bonn-ers come to this place for a fancy dinner.

The room is unusually clean. I even took a bath -- it has to be real clean for me to want to do that.

I stayed there in mid-April. The heat had apparently been turned off, I was kind of cold unless under covers. I never asked the front desk, so it's possible something could have been done about it.

Das Hotel ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und man hat das Gefühl, es wurde nicht mehr investiert. Es gab Schäden an den Armaturen im Bad. In diesem Fall hat das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht gepasst.

Sehr schönes und ruhig gelegenes Hotel. War ein Familienurlaub mit zwe Kindern. Es wurde an alles gedacht ohne das wir etwas verlangen mussten. Kennen wir von anderen Hotels anders. Man muss in diesem Hotel sehr aufpassen, welches Zimmer mann bekommt. Sonst kann es abends sehr laut werden, wenn irgendwelche Seminare abgehalten werden und die Herrschaften spät abends zum Rauchen vor die Tür gehen und sehr laut sind.

Nähe zur Uniklinik perfekt

Leider leidet die Sauberkeit weiterhin: fremde dunkle Haare im Waschbecken, tote Fliegen in den Gardinen, Fuß des Glastisches verdreckt. Die Schaniere der Badezimmertür sind auch nach einem halben Jahr immer noch nicht gemacht, wenn nachts jemand diese Tür benutzt, ist der Partner auf jeden Fall wach, klingt wie Hui Buh.
Ausreichend Kissen, die Bettdecken sind schwer, nicht atmungsaktiv, Schwitzen vorprogrammiert.
Frühstück ist weiterhin sehr gut, hohe Qualität, viel Auswahl, Einweg hält sich in Grenzen.
Personal im Service und des Empfangs ausgesprochen freundlich.
Handtücher werden auch getauscht, wenn sie ordentlich aufgehangen wurden, diesmal auch die Gläser getauscht, Danke.
Neuerdings müssen auch geschäftlich Reisende die Bonner Beherbergungssteuer zahlen, sehr ärgerlich, pfui Stadt Bonn!

Sehr ruhig und gepflegt, sehr freundliches Personal. Zimmer sehr ansprechend mit Bewegungsfreiheit.
Das Essen perfekt, wenn ich auch gern etwas preiswertere und vegetarische Gerichte gewünscht hätte.

Wiederholter angenehmer Aufenthalt

Weiterhin ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.
CheckIn unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Zimmer schön groß, mehrere Sitzmöglichkeiten, Kühlschrank, TV. Tolles Bad mit Wanne, Bidet, Kosmetika. Handtücher sind sehr flauschig, schön groß und nicht so knappe Lappen. Angenehmer Wasserstrahl, tolle Abluft.
Tiefgarage vorhanden, kostenpflichtig.
Ebenerdiger Zugang zu den Zimmern per Aufzug möglich.
Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig im Wald. Ab und an hört man den Hubschrauber in der Uniklinik landen. Sonst nur Vogelgezwitscher.
Mittlerweile auch Solar auf dem Dach. Hier wird investiert.
