Location is convenient for official government meetings but far from the town center
Staff is friendly and effective
Rooms are clean and functional
Pool is not very big but nice and good sauna. Towels need to be brought from the room as there are none in the pool area.
All in all a satisfactory stay.

The hotel amenities were excellent. While the neighborhood isn't as lively as the city center, it offers great access to public transportation, and you can reach the city center in under 20 minutes. There's also a beautiful park within walking distance of the hotel.

The hotel is very large and taking that into consideration it is immaculate. Plenty of seating areas, 3 restaurants for eating and a bar. We visit Maritim hotels for their signature breakfast and this experience was the best yet. Food laid out neatly and crockery cleared efficiently. Staff lovely and welcoming in all departments. Didn't visit the pool or gym. Transport stations nearby for getting into the city.

A good place

Overall the stay was nice but there were a few drawbacks so unsure I how to avoid that if we return. The good things: The room we had booked (family suite) was spacious and well equipped with some free water, a fruit basket and coffee machine. The bathroom had a modern shower and a separate bathtub. The pool was in good condition albeit small, and the separate pool elevator made it convenient to access. The bar was relaxed with a good drinks menu including cocktails. The breakfast area was clean and comfortable. The pancakes were a highlight for our son. The staff at Reception and in the hospitality areas was courteous and pleasant.

The not so good things that made us unsure about a potential return:
The room we stayed in smelled of stale smoke, which made it uncomfortable to stay in. The hotel is meant to be smoke-free so this was really surprising. The hotel staff told us there were no other available rooms for us. Housekeeping came up and sprayed some air freshener which made it a bit better but still not a real solution. Given it was already 8pm we decided to stay put as we’d been driving for 8hrs already at this point. I think this is something housekeeping should have noticed before they passed the room on. For €245 a night I feel this was unacceptable.
The Aircon is dated and the room stayed fairly warm despite it running on its highest setting.
Had we stayed in a better smoke free room I’d have awarded it a 5/5 rating.

Very nice hotel

We booked as part of a tour following the football, its a large hotel and very tastefully decorated, we booked a suite which was very well equipped and spacious. The staff were fantastic and really could not fault anything. The tram station is 100m away from the rear of the hotel so also convenient to get into the main town. My only part negative comment was parking at 24 euro a night seemed a little high compared to the previous hotels, but that is it!

Was für eine Erfahrung in einer Hotelkette, die mal für hervorragende Qualität stand. Heute bekommt man an der Rezeption abgezählte Wasserflaschen gereicht aus einer Wand von Plastikflaschen hinter der Rezeption. Ein Schild informiert direkt beim Check-in, dass jede weitere Flasche 3.50€ kostet. In jedem 3-Sterne Hotel hat man eine nett präsentierte Flasche auf dem Zimmer zusammen mit einer kleinen Grußkarte. In unserem gab es dafür gar nichts. Keine Minibar (der Kühlschrank war sogar ausgeschaltet), keine Gläser, kein Flaschenöffner, nix. Den mitgebrachten Wein haben wir aus den Zahnputzbechern getrunken. Wifi? Funktionierte nicht. Super, wenn man mit Teenagern unterwegs ist. Dafür lief die Heizung auf volle Pulle, da brauchte man keine Sauna mehr. Ließ sich natürlich nicht einstellen. Beim Frühstücksbüffet wurden Schinken, Wurst und Käse als Zentimeter hohe Stapel gereicht. Aus der Packung direkt auf den Teller. Warum die Scheiben voneinander trennen und nett präsentieren, landen doch eh im Magen. Sehr traurig zu sehen, wie diese frühere Qualitätsmarke heute nur noch auf wirtschaftliche Effizienz getrimmt ist.

Running paths close by were very nice and it was easy to get around the city with the nearby public transit. The dining was a little one note, because each of the on site restaurants seemed to offer the same options. There is no point in having three restaurants if they share the same kitchen.

Does the job for a night

The bedrooms are good. Comfortable bed and excellent shower. Desk good for working. However, outside of the bedrooms, the hotel is a little dark and dated. It is not somewhere you would like to spend too much time. The breakfast is also quite underwhelming with a lot of processed options and machine-made hot drinks which compromise on taste. The hotel is near the river and park though which is very pleasant.

Prefect location for what we wanted. Very close to the tram line so easy access to bonn . Rooms and sevice were excellent , very friendly staff.
Only issues i has was over a four night stay , i was charged €25 per day parking which i wasn't aware off. I thought guest were free , now i might have not spotted it was paid but regardless, an extra €100 on your bill was too much and i would have considered booking eleswhere if i have known

The hotel is within a 3 minute walk of two S-train stations! It is only a 10 minute S-train ride to downtown Bonn.
The hotel is super clean and it has a highly responsive staff.

A well-appointed hotel

The Maritim Hotel Bonn is exquisitely appointed. The rooms are spotless as are the public meeting spaces. The restaurant and brasserie operate mainly from the same menu and the food is excellent and priced in line with Bonn standards. While mistakes were sometimes made, they were promptly corrected and the staff was professional and courteous. The hotel is 20 minutes walk to the Rhine river and a short ride on public transit to downtown Bonn. You can also ride (public transit is nearby) or walk (30 minutes) to Bad Godesberg too. Staff are multilingual so no need to worry about being misunderstood. We would definitely stay there again.

It's away from the city centre in the business district, but the hotel itself was good. There is free parking just a few yards from the hotel, no need to pay €24. The room wasn't prepared for my kids but after reviewing the options we arrived at an acceptable solution. The staff were nice and breakfast was also good.

At the moment they are mid refurbishment in the entrance. The reception staff were excellent, but the bar staff were poor - we gave up on trying to get a drink as no one came to take the order. The room does need a bit of improvement- the minibar was decidedly mature, the door was a challenge to open.

This hotel is a gem well beyond it's finest moment. For the observant guest, a trip in the elevator from the upper level offers a clear view of the poor maintenance and shoddy level of cleanliness around the property. The customer service is patchy and some staff are absolutely rude. The restaurants are solid, the breakfast is terrific and buffets are often worth the price-point. While it's nicely located for those on business in Bonn, particularly conferences at WCC and the UN Campus, it is worth considering with caution: The wifi is patchy and could undermine productivity. Worst of all: They are crass about resolving issues.

Wir hatten hier einen tollen Hotelaufenthalt für eine Nacht!
Wir hatten das Familienzimmer, zwei verbundene Doppelzimmer. Sehr sauber und gepflegt.
Wir waren happy weil der Pool bis 24 Uhr offen hatte!
Personal war fast ausschließlich sehr höflich, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zimmerservice für Bademäntel und Wartung waren sehr schnell und hilfsbereit!

Great location and accessibility. Somewhat outdated regarding design but it still works and I liked it! Great and friendly staff and good amenities. Parking is a breeze. Sauna wasn't too great, fitness area nice. The toilet did have a urine smell which was a bit of a downer. All in all good place!

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und das Personale freundlich und aufmerksam. Zusatzleitungen solletn immer über das Portal gebucht werden denn im Hotel (FRÜHSTÜCK) wird immer teurer als auf dem Portal.

Dieses Hotel hat eine grosse Lobby. Wir sind abends sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend behandelt worden und bekamen ein grosses Zimmer. Der Rezeptionist war shr sehr freundlich, man merkte ihm macht seine Arbeit Freude. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist genial und hat eine riesen Auswahl. Wir kommen auf jeden fall wieder.

Das Hotel ist gut an die Straßenbahn angebunden. Die Mitarbeiter*innen sind sehr freundlich. Leider hatte ich ziemliches Pech mit dem Badezimmer: Undichte Duschabtrennung, schlecht funktionierende Dusche, Handtücher mit schlechtem Geruch, lange schwarze Haare in der Badewanne.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel und gut gelegen. Zeitig gebucht, daher auch vernünftiger Preis ohne Frühstück. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, Zimmer sehr gut, Bad mit Dusche und genügend Handtüchern - top. Einzig das Wlan im Zimmer war etwas schwach. Alles in Allem - jederzeit wieder.

Wir waren zu einem Konzert auf dem KunstRasen Bonn zu Besuch in der Stadt. Und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt im Maritim. Besonders zu loben: Das extrem aufmerksame, freundliche Personal am Empfang! Das Hotel hat einen besonderen Chic - und mit einem Pool eine besondere Annehmlichkeit, die wir allerdings in der Kürze der Zeit leider nicht wahrnehmen konnten.

Das Maritim ist eine Institution in Bonn. Vor vielen Jahren habe ich in der Stadt gewohnt und da war das Hotel der letzte Schrei. Seitdem ist meiner Meinung nach nicht viel gemacht worden, das sieht man den Zimmern an.
Ist schon ein wenig abgerockt. Die Klimaanlage ging nicht und das Fenster war zwar zu öffnen, ging aber direkt auf die 4-spurige Hauptstraße mit der Strassenbahnkurve direkt davor. Sehr laut, auch nachts.
An der Hotelbar mussten die Drinks direkt bezahlt werden … auch untypisch für ein Hotel mit diesem Anspruch.
Das Frühstück war ok, das Zimmer sauber.

Jedoch hat das Personal einen Buchungsfehler gemacht ( welches auf schlechte Einarbeitung des Personals zurückzuführen war) und als Folge wurde man dann mir als Kunden gegenüber unfreundlich und war auch nicht gewillt zu entschädigen.

Schönes Hotel, sehr Groß. Parkplätze vorhanden, auch gegen Gebühr. Zimmer sind schön Bett war bequem, was ich leider bemängeln muss. Keine Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer was in den vergleichbaren Hotels stand ist. Frühstück super vom Spiegelei bis Lachs alles vorhanden. Kann ich gut weiterempfehlen
