This review is for an extra night I stayed at Y2, I booked a smaller room so that I had a place to relax for 8 hours before heading to the airport and they allowed me to stay in my bigger room for no extra cost and was even able to have it between the checkout and checkin time. This was so appreciated and made my last day so much easier. Thank you Y2!! :)

I booked three 2-bedroom suites for my family and I and was wondering pleasantly surprised that the rooms were so spacious. The staff here was friendly, wifi strong, it had a pretty decent gym, and the rooms were comfortable. Would stay again in the future.

The room, although spacious, is very tired & bathroom looks grubby, certainly not like pictures online. The pool area seemed very unkempt & dirty with not many sun loungers. We ended up paying to go to another hotel pool. Staff were helpful & breakfast was average.

The breakfast and staff are very nice. Room would need a little update but the beds are super confortable. (Air conditioner was dripping). Very well situated in Makati. The only downside would be the unbelievable traffic in Manila during peak hour. Be sure to plan ahead at least 1 hour from the airport (even of its close).

The room is simple but functional and had a funky charm. I liked the kitchen and separate bedroom and the nice city views. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I had a problem with my door key card not working. They got it fixed quickly. A couple of suggestions: if the hotel provided a scrub pad and hand towel I could have cleaned the dishes better. It’s time to clean the bathroom tile grout as it is dark with dirt or mold. Overall this hotel was a good value and nice place to stay, with plenty of dining options within walking distance.

Service in this place is no longer what it was once like. Security guards are not properly trained, rude and stopped my girlfriend. It is not our problem that many hookers frequent this place; regular guests should not be given such treatment/\"welcome\". Receptionist not understanding, just giving blabla, instead of simply saying: sir, we will address this with our security, thanks for letting me know. I stayed here around 15 times, the only positive development is that the breakfast is now better. But the service in the residences is worse than it ever was. Water in shower most of the time cold; much delay in cleaning the rooms (short term renters should have their room cleaned quickly, we are not in the hotel to wait hours for cleaning services). It is not our plan to fix your hotel for lack of service during our stay. Towels missing. How can you never have enough towels, and sometimes have delays in even bringing them to the rooms. There could be king size bed rooms, given the rooms are fairly big. Lack of water fountains, what is now common in most places around Makati. Training of receptionists and security is very poor, lacking any emotional intelligence. I won't stay in this place any longer. Finally, the wifi does not work properly. The pool is over the weekends crowded with kids that later then \"flood\" the elevators; the elevators are also super slow.

Don’t stay there if you come with your partner or spouse; they will always assume that the female person that is with you is a prostitute a needs to be checked and asked for ID when entering the building.
Honestly, it’s not our problem if that hotel has every day hookers - if we are staying there as a couple. It is unacceptable to the female partner to be given such treatment and „welcome“ -
Other than that: stayed her for the 15th or whatever time. Serious has enormously deteriorated over the years; rooms sometimes have not enough towels, cleaning or short term stayers is not done quickly enough, leaving you several hours to wait for room being cleaned. My advice would be to consider other places, so many new options in Makati and close to Makati. Breakfast is the only aspect that has improved; still very few options and not a real full buffet. But service at breakfast is now better than service of the hotel residences.

Y2 brands itself as a 3 star. Best to categorize as a 2 star. Booked the one bedroom. Interior decorator needs to be fired/replaced 😅 - what’s up with the anime character on the wall?!? Room needs a deep cleaning. Cleaning staff need additional training. For example, the soap dispensers need to be filled!
Facilities need repair. Example: gym air con was not working well, making a gym workout uncomfortable. Limited, old equipment.

Good points: The breakfast staff were wonderful! Chefs cooks well and is accommodating for special requests.

My rating might come across more harsh than the reality of the stay, especially considering really reasonable cost.

Though few things like a lack of soap in the bathroom or empty shower gel bottle on the first day of stay surprised me. Also the water pressure in shower is really low, which is a nuisance.

The area around the hotel is currently seeing a lot of construction so that added to the noisyness and can`t be helped, though noise from rooms was also sometimes there.

The impact of these things can be levied if the reception made a notice of these issues to customers.

We really enjoyed the breakfast, which was located at the hotel that had amazing staff and good breakfast selection. It’s a very well managed restaurant.The only thing I can say there was some confusion with hotel billing but overall it was great. I would definitely come back to Y2 again.

Best option for the huge space you get!

The place is quite dated (online photos must be from years ago when the place was brand new). But for the incredible space you get and the price you pay, Y2 is hard to beat. Not to mention the location. I visited from Vancouver and stayed a week. And had an excellent and comfortable stay. Staff are positively friendly and accommodating. Let me do an early check in. And was even upgraded to the largest suites on the 19th floor. Got quite noisy weekend nights coz it was the VIP / Party floor. But I didn’t mind. Had some parties myself a couple nights. Beds are super comfy. Living room AC broke on my last 2 nights there. They offered to move me. But I opted not to coz it was my last nights there. And the bedroom ACs were adequate enough. Elevators can be quite slow. So be patient. But overall, for the incredible space you get, the location, comfort, friendliness and price, this place is hard to beat. Will def stay here when I visit Makati again. I highly recommend Y2. Two thumbs up.

We were on 7th and friends were on 17th. Not fun. All we got was a sorry. Actions speak louder than words. Will NEVER stay here or recommend.

Y2 residences hotel as a location works well but in reality Manila is so dangerous not sure why a person would even go. The hotel itself is ok. We got a 2 bedroom very affordable (about $70 cdn) per night which was pretty good. However, the balcony did not open and the area is under construction. They did have an awesome rooftop pool but be prepared to wait 10-15 mins for the elevator each way. Overall positive stay

Property was around a busy area, with lots of bars and dining options.Rooms were spacious and beds were nice and firm. There were aircondition in all rooms including the living area. Kitchen was ok but no utensils and pots and pans were rusty. Fridge was large and had freezer. Bathroom although large were a bit outdated. Note that the Pool was at the rooftop and you have to climb 3 levels from the lift to get there. Also its not undercover, so will be under the sun if you go during the day. Reception was ok, but declined our request for additional towels, they said is was with additional charge. Complimentary water was also provided daily. Overall good stay. Recommended for families.

Everything about my stay in the property was excellent. You get an apartment for the price of a hotel room. I stayed here almost 2months and i love it here. Perfect location, clean apartments and amazing staff. They really make you feel at home here. Security is handled great and they are very friendly and courteous. Front desk is also professional, courteous, helpful and friendly. Yna was amazing, helpful and very friendly. Yna thank you for all your help. Housekeeping is also amazing they do a great job. They are very thorough, courteous and friendly. Aira, Gerry, kerilyn, Lovely, Rd, Danica, Khyna are all amazing! All the staff at Y2 deserves recognition and a raise as they are amazing at what they do and who they are. I have stayed in other hotels in the area and i will choose Y2 residence every time i return to Makati. The Staff is amazing !!! great service, always greet you going in or out. Very pleasant, helpful and friendly staff ( frontdesk, guards, Housekeeping all amazing). The hotel is in good condition and well kept. Housekeeping comes every day and they are very pleasant. Pool on the rooftop is nice with plenty of seating. Its location is perfect not far from nightlife and stores. I stayed 3 1/2 weeks and I'm going back in 2weeks. I'm from the U.S. stayed in Gramercy residence in January and did not like it. Y2 residence is a much better option and priced nicely.

It was cheap and you get what you pay for. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was pretty clean and a good size but showing some wear. No soundproofing from the windows so pretty loud at night. No towels or service at the pool and pool is quite small but good views of the city. The area is lively and more “adventurous“ than near the Greenbelt Mall but lots of great restaurants and bars. Personally, I would pay a little more and get something much nicer.

Booked the property last year and when delta airlines cancelled my flight Y2 wouldnt issue a refund which cost me a lot . I booked it for this stay thinking i was going to get a refund . The a/c in one bedroom wouldn’t work and extremely hot in the room, roaches, the kitchenette had one pot and one spoon , terrible smell coming from the drains that we had to smell for 3 weeks, rooms are very old and worn out, last time to stay there. A lot more nicer places for a lot less.
