Great staff and fantastic restaurant food although a little slow in serving and out of stock of what we wanted to have again. The only really bad thing is that the mattress in our room was so old, it was lumpy with so many hard spots where the springs were and soft where they were not. Had to put another pillow under my hip to avoid the stiffness and pain the next day.

Only problems I encountered while staying there are the AC and dim lights. It’s too dim for me, there should be at least one bright light by the vanity area. The AC in room 607 isn’t cooling enough, likely due to dirty air filter, I guess. Otherwise, everything is okay. Staffs are very respectful, approachable & courteous.

It’s actually my daughter’s stay at Polaris when we did FaceTime call I can see how clean and neat her room is! Staff are very friendly! Most importantly shes was safe as this was her first trip to Manila for her job application abroad! Yeah overall 5star!

The room initially given had a spring mattress with no mattress topper, which felt like sleeping on a piece of plywood. After bringing up the issue to a different clerk at the front desk (Veronica) she switched us to different room with a comfortable bed without issues. I had a good night sleep and even extended my stay for another night.

The rooms I stayed in were quiet and comfortable, despite the hotel being situated in a largely busy area of Makati. The location is superb, offering easy access to shops and tons of amenities nearby. Cafe Aurora Filipino-style breakfast and ala carte items were delicious. Secure parking available in front of the property and in the basement.This is my preferred hotel to stay in Manila. Just the right size, allowing for a more personal stay and experience that is not offered by huge hotel chains. I would recommend to anyone wanting a no-frills comfortable stay for business or pleasure.

Herald Polaris is the best out of the 3 locations. The staff is friendly from the bellboy to concierge to restaurant staff. Everyone seem to like their jobs in this location. STAY AWAY from HERALD CHINO ROCES. Worst staff ever! They don’t treat you well if you’re not a foreigner. Concierge and restaurant staff don’t smile at all and they seem to hate what they do.

Charging extra for XS coffee? terrible.Miscommunication with room pricing: paid extra person but no extra bed in 1st night and i was still charged for it. tv remote, internet was always NOT working! remote battery is cheap - should be ready.

The Wi-Fi disconnected every five minutes. It's the worst Wi-Fi I ever had in the Philippines. Each room has it's own Wi-Fi connection and passwords for two devices. Neither one of these would stay connected.
My twin bed room was nice. The AC worked fine. The hot water kettle and mini fridge worked. No microwave. Breakfast was good. With four choices to order from.

Herald Suites is a good hotel. My room was large, mini fridge, hot water kettle with instant coffee packets. The AC worked fine, quiet and kept the room cold. Breakfast was included, from 6-10am, order from menu, fast service. Short walk to all the tourist attractions on and around P. Burgos Street. It's a 20 minute walk to the Buendia MRT Station. Would stay again at this hotel.

This hotel has been a wonderful find, in fact do much so that I changed some other reservations in the area to return to it on this trip. The room is wonderfully comfortable and up to date on all amenities. The service from staff is very attentive and the lobby quite comfortable. It is in the heart of what appears to be a key entertainment area in the Makati district of Manila, with everything you would need within a quick walk from the hotel. It is not a large skyscraper type hotel, but rather one of moderate size with someone with rather elegant tastes behind the design of it I would guess.

Property was nice, but no way a 5 star experience. Bed was hard rock, could barely sleep properly days I was there. Shower didn't get hot water until 5 minutes after it stays on. AC was not properly placed in the room, which made it tough to control temperature. And it is right next to the bars. So, it gets noisy sometimes.

Having stayed at other Herald Suites properties before, was looking forward to trying Polaris. On the good side, the hotel is clean, has an interesting design and really quaint old Manila/Havana feel to it, serves a rather good breakfast and is in a part of the city that gives great accessibility to a wide variety of restaurants, malls, museums and other spots you might want to visit.
The main downside is the room size. The rooms are really small compared to the other Herald properties. Good enough for a solo traveler for a night, maybe two, but friends/couples will be cramped. Really don't believe these rooms are 28sqm as was advertised. Other than the small room, you'll likely enjoy a stay here.
