Booked for family of 3, buffet included. Arrived, no Buffet and given two cold breakfast’s delivered to room. No amenities open. Other than the basic pool area, room only hotel. No cafe/Coffee or buffet as stated. Area not family friendly. Staff were very good, which was the only good thing to mention about this hotel. Hotel is in what feels like a poor state and there is an obvious issue with mold. Hotel must of been very grand in the past but sadly far from that now.

The hotel is fair at best; the gym consists of six rusty plates and a few bars, and the room is spacious. However, outside is a zoo, not suitable for families. It was described as \"lively\" and \"busy,\" but what is unsafe: Prostitutes, pimps, beggars, and drug addicts all outside the hotel.

Good Choice

I was pretty happy with this hotel. With the exception of the shower, which sorely needed an update (no problem with the hot water though), the room was clean, quiet, and well-organized. The interior wasn’t new, but generally the hotel seems very well maintained. The staff was pleasant and efficient. Overall a good value, and the location couldn’t be better for the Makati night life.

Front desk staff were friendly but not helpful. Rooms were infested with cockroaches. Decor is outdated. Mold in the shower. Lobby smelled like a dead animal as well as the elevators. I will not stay here again, please use another hotel for your lodging.

Older hotel that was probably a very nice place at one time. Everywhere you look there’s something broken or worn down. From lamp shades to bathtub, the place needs a lot of work. The worst is the elevator, only one worked and it is on its last leg. I would not stay again.

If it were free it would still be overpriced!

One working elevator. Had reservations for the presidential suite and was not informed that the elevator did not go to that floor. Being disabled I had to take a downgrade with no refund or compensation. A friend checked in the next day and his suite reservation was also messed up. If I could rate this less than 1 star I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Pool area was horrible.

Nothing about this hotel is good. The hotel is old. The elevators didn't work. The AC was out, and I had to change rooms. The bed was hard as a rock!!@! No water pressure as well. I would not stay here again. They don't check you in until 3 pm, with no exceptions.

I went there because was said separate tub and shower, 1 bedroom. Also says posturpedic beds. Not. Hotel was not at fault

What I did not like is everything is falling apart, very unkept, zero service unless you ask for it. Never cleaned the room, had to ask for towels, mold in the bathroom.

This hotel is a ran down hotel. I had to request to be transferred since the first room smells like mold, there’s obvious signs of leak and mold where the ac was located.
The 2nd room that was showed has the same problem, the 3rd room has a lot, like a lot of cockroaches. I had to leave the light on just so they won’t crawl on us. It was really late to be transferred to another room. Had to leave at 5:30 in the morning. It was a terrible stay.

Upon checking in we were sternly warned not to smoke even after telling them we don't smoke. Got to the room and it reeked of cigar smoke. I immediately informed the concierge and he insisted that it's just the stale air in the room and not cigarette smoke.

I called the front desk and notified them of the issue, not to get a different room or anything else, just to have a record of the fact that it existed prior to our arrival. They sent a housekeeper with a scented humidifier and that helped.

There is barely any cold water coming from the shower head in room 712, even when there is plenty at the sink. So shower nearly called my fiance's skin and mine too.

The next night I woke up to a teenager roach crawling on my arm and pillow. Thankfully that was our last night in town.

And.. it made my nose stuffy because of the smell and dusts . There is no hygiene and cleanliness of this place . The pillow cover seems never been change .

I had a blast at this location of Makati in Manila. If you want to be smack in the middle of night life in Makati, then this is your hotel. Walk out the door and food, bars and night life is a moment away. The hotel is old. Well kept. The staff is the best. They will help and accommodate you with whatever you need. English is spoken well here. That is not the case in most Asian countries. As it should be. A fantastic morning breakfast is served every and I mean fantastic. if you choose to eat elsewhere you can. No shortage of good food in the area. My room was a one bedroom apartment basically and the room service by the staff is top notch. Great rates for the size and area. You know, you have some of the differences between cultures and expectations. It's not home. Get over it. I do highly recommend this hotel. My go to place while in Manila.

Great staff 👍 my first impression was wow. The deluxe room was nice but some areas of the hotel are under construction for upgrades. Room was very clean and the cleaning service was polite. The area of the hotel is place in a great location especially for a single male. 😏 I had no problem tipping the staff seeing that they go above what they are supposed to do.

It is always a joy to visit the Philippines and Makati Palace Hotel made it all the better. The Philippine staff is always smiling and friendly and this lively hotel has a life of its own. Located in the heart of the nightclub district of Makati this hotel is the queen of the district. We’ll recommend.

Crouches in the room. Killed one on the carpet, saw another in the bathroom.
