The property is really convenient to the beach, restaurants and shops. The property is good value for a cost sensitive person.
The breakfast options are limited compared to the 4 stars resorts as you would expect but there is adequate choice for most people.
They offer a AUD20 shuttle service to the airport which is fantastic.

We had one night at Dekuta prior to our flight. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and in an excellent location close to the Beachwalk mall & beach. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately I wasn't well when we arrived for check-in and they accommodated us with an early check in, in a nice quiet room so I could rest. Was very grateful. This is a good value hotel.

I have been staying here at Dekuta for some years now, and is my first choice hotel.

Firstly, the staff are great, but I have seen a decline over the years, everyone seems to be super young, not sure why all the older staff are not here anymore??

The housekeeping staff are also great, especially the OG's. There has been several times where I have left money and walked out of my room and left the safe door open. NEVER once has anything ever been taken or touched, they even tidy up my clothes laying on the floor.

The Pool - Used to be great with the waterfall feature but that doesnt work anymore. The sun lounges are in need of replacing, the stairs from the deck the bushes need to be trimmed as they cover most of the path way towards room 108 /109

Breakfast - while there aren't many options for the included breakfast, they are some great ones. I recommend the avo smash !!

Overall I will stay here again, they just need to re freshen the place up.

The location is just behind beachwalk and of course is on poppies 2, say no more

Room and bed itself STINKS of mold. Very noisy was woken up 3 times by talking outside my room or loud bangs. Smell in the room kept me up for hours. Woke up to a loud dripping sound and a giant puddle was there from the AC unit INSIDE my room. One night that’s it. Gross

I agree with all the reviews that complained about the bathroom. The bathroom absolutely reeks and it really bothered us anytime we used the bathroom. The sheets were also stained.

The room was basic but clean. The bathroom could have some work done to it & needs some sort of cupboard space or somewhere to hang your clothes when in the shower. The staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast menu & the staff in the restaurant were excellent. Great location !

Like a lot of Bali properties Dekuta is beginning to see signs of lack of maintenance which is a shame as it is a fairly new hotel. We had constant problems with the room safe, it took three days before we finally got it sorted.
They super chlorinated the pool so for one day the pool was full of dead algae, yuck.
I would suggest bringing a WiFi extender if you want to use the internet in your room as the connection can be poor, had no problems on balcony or common areas.
The breakfast package served in the adjoining restaurant is good value offering both European and Indonesian options.
Location is great close to the beach, plenty of shopping both local as well as worldwide options available close by.
Very quiet, beds comfortable. Overall a great stay.

For the location and proximity to the beach, shopping restaurants and bars, the price was excellent. Breakfast was limited choice, but great quality food. Pool looked good, but I didn't use it. Staff chirpy enough and rang for motorbike taxi and arranged transport to Ubud for me at a good (fair) price. Room needs more lighting, particularly the bathroom, not enough light to put your face on (which in my case is probably a good thing, wrinkles you know!!)

Value For Money

Good choice for budget travelers that plan to spend majority of their time outside of the hotel. It's a simple and clean hotel that is centrally located right behind the Beachwalk shopping mall. The staff were friendly and the spa was top notch. Breakfast starts at 7, so if you are taking day tours that start early, may want to skip the breakfast option.

Stayed here for two nights after staying at another hotel in the area three nights previously. So much nicer for still a fairly cheap price. We chose to stay because we loved Nebula Restaurant so much. When staying at the hotel you get 15% off at Nebula, if you spend a certain amount on certain items, be careful, but still very good prices. The hotel room was clean and spacious. Laundry service was good. Offered as a wake up call when we were leaving early, nice but not needed. Lovely pool and beds to sit by it. Good hotel overall.

This hotel is in a great spot at one end of Poppies 2, so it is central to Beachwalk Shopping Mall, Kuta Beach and numerous restaurants, hotels and shopping. Staff were friendly, room was comfortable and spacious however bathroom could use a little sprucing up. Overall for the low price we paid we think this was value for money as it was a quick stay to be close to the airport. Great for transit or a couple of day stays, probably not longer term. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the pool area which looked nice however due to time constraints we didn't take advantage of the pool during our stay,

Good location

The rooms are basic but comfortable. Small fridge, no safe and average wifi. Nice bar at the front and pool inside. Three minutes walk to the left and you are on Kuta Beach or three minutes walk to the right and you are in Beachwalk shopping centre. Keep walking for another five minutes and you are amongst the nightlife in Legian St. One of the cheaper hotels with a handy location and overall good value for money.

Checked in staff very attentive the bathroom had a horrible smell askedcto changecrioms and it was ok. No guest soaps shampoos ect hair dryer nothing. Room service finished at 10. I didn't notice this or I wouldn't have stated I like 24 hour. Not enough beds by pool but pool was lovely and open till 9. Overall average hotel and it is close to beach and in a great spot.

Well negatives are wifi is not great and my room overlooked the parking lot at the front (not quite a city view!) and felt like a prison with the wooden beams covering the entire balcony. That's all the negatives...
Staff are so lovely, room spacious and modern, very comfortable large bed, nice bathroom, pool is great, site still feels clean and tidy and the breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it for sure!!

I arrived in Kuta Bali not knowing what to expect. Kuta is busy with tourists and people try to sell you things, quite noisy, but De Kuta ended up feeling like a home away from home. Such nice staff and they gave me two bottles of water every day, great value for money. Excellent shower and hot water. Located close to the beach shopping mall and beach. A busy beach tho, I didn't spend much time there. It is not a flash hotel, but still very pleasant, clean white linen, I had to ask for a kettle and coffee etc which they gave happily. They have air con, it doesn't go full speed but still much better to sleep in. My room on first floor overlooked the pool. As mentioned the meals cheap and delicious so I dined there very night where possible. It felt safe there.

Great position, but other things let it down

I called ahead to confirm that we had a ground floor which we were accommodated for, but they failed to tell me that there were still stairs to get up and down for the ground floor room. I wouldn't have booked the room for my elderly mother if I knew ahead of time. The breakfast was OK, but on too many occasions I had to send my plate back as the sausages were stone cold on the inside. They would probably be better off with a buffet breakfast rather than ala carte. The 'orange juice' was a sickly sweet cordial which some days contained ants. I understand that ants are hard to control, but it's not hard to check the glass before you serve it to customers. The rooms were tidy, but the house keeping staff made no effort to try to clean the room while you weren't there, perhaps a little communication between the restaurant staff to notify house keeping that we were there or perhaps putting a sign in each room to hang on the door handle when to clean the room. Some days, we were chasing up house keeping at 4pm just to change towels and get toilet paper. The male housekeepers seemed to do all the hard work but we're let down by the female staff who just seemed to walk around watching the males work. The bathrooms smelt awful, I suspect that the buildings don't have S bends and there is no sewer trap holding back the smells. The water in the showers and basins didn't drain in a hurry. The reception staff were lovely, but 2 weeks here was to long.

Always a pleasure to stay at Dekuta

All facilities are of 3-4 star standard, its hard to point any issues in this little gem of a place so ideally located on poppies 2, a stones throw to the beach and centrally located away from the noise and close to shopping. A boutique venue with a great restaurant, awesome pool, well appointed rooms. You will rarely find an issue here and its price is well worth it!

Put some laundry in to get done at 930 am 3 days later could not be found and hotel only gave 30 au dollars to cover and said nothing could be Done other than them problems it was a good hotel food Waa outstanding

Great location . Close to all the activity but also on a nice part of the beach.
Short stroll to all the clubs, nice malls, the beach, Waterpark etc.

Some funky restaurants around the place with very cool vibe. While at same time some nice more reasonable priced restaurants nearby.

Really nice spas around the corner for a great massage.

Easy pick ups for activities like scuba diving and snorkeling.

I have been staying at this hotel every single month for 5 months now and the past two trips I have noticed things slipping. Rooms getting cleaned later and later. There is never any towels in my room anymore which results in having too call front desk and then waiting a long time for a towel to be delivered to my room. No pool towels seem to be available anymore, you are given white small towels same as in room. The air cons barely work, even on 16 degrees, the room is still hot. Every morning the shower and basin sink dont work (no water comes out when turned on). Furniture in rooms seems to be in need of repair. I will not be returning to this hotel. Very disappointed after being a loyal customer.

beware of road side shop selling t spirits and pants n they do illegal money exchanging biz..
Rate may be better a bit.. But they will con you and will give local currency less than what u supposed to revive.. When they count money in front of u it is a correct amount.. But u count yourself always shortage.. Of 500,000 / 600,000.. Do kind of eye trick..
Luckily when I found out 15 mins later n counted so many round, go back and demand the shortage , they give me back the US currency I used to change earlier.. Surprisingly though..

The hotel facade was looking old. Upon arriving at the room, the toilet reeked of sewage and was filled with flies.
Room was pretty dusty and although we requested and paid extra for pool view, our view was the wall. -.-

The pros was that the hotel is near the beach and in the \"hip-happening\" area.

Dekuta was a fantastic deal for the location. It was close to the beach, which is exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately we got horribly sunburned our second day, and had to hide in the hotel for a few days. We were glad we had the hotel we did! The aircon worked great. It wasnt really our scene, but it is close to Legian and the bars and clubs there. Very close to the beachwalk shopping mall, and not far from Kuta Square, and Perama Tour. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful. The Nebula restaurant was great, though the included breakfast was limited.

I loved my stay at this hotel. I have wanted too stay here for some time now. The adjoining restaurant The Nebula room is AMAZING. The roof top bar is divine.
The hotel itself is new, nice size with all the modern comforts you could want.

This is actually a good location and a great hotel

Tucked away close to the beach, poppies lane 2 and ideal distance from beachwalk shopping, this is a little gem of a hotel but now in serious need of a refresh and management shake up.
Needs a fresh coat of paint
The pool fountain hasnt worked in 2 years
The pool decking needs varnishing or renewing
The pool furniture expired
We paid for a suite but got a standard room...until i reminded them....
The aircon in both suites 108 and 109 needs replacing...its air recycle...not AC.
Towel rails and basins hanging off the walls
We paid for bfast included and in the restaurant theres a separate menu for included...limited choices on it.
Too many staff walking around doing not much and need supervision.
The nebula bar used to be alive...paint the terrible wall the sheraton put up facing you. Buy a HD projector...play balinese surfing movies on it...create an atmosphere and attract people at minimum cost. FATchow restarant next door is packed lunch and dinner!

Such a shame as just minimum cost would spruce this place back to life....for 100$ more for the week...i could have stayed at the sheraton..hardrock...kuta seaview...all in better condition....and will. But this is my third dekuta stay trying to give it a chance.

Great location if your looking for somewhere in Kuta and close to the beach.

Close to both poppies lanes + modern western style shopping centre. Markets at front door. The onsite bar/resturant is awesome and also supplies for room service. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This hotel is showing signs of its age although is relatively clean and tidy. Priced ok considering the location and amenities.

Cheap and cheerful

We only needed this hotel as a stop gap between flying to Java from the Gillian islands. The staff were very friendly and the service was good. The hotel room was not that clean and we had to wait several hours for fresh towels. The location is good and the breakfast was average but included in the price which is good.

Location is good, just less than 5 mins walk to the kuta beach, beach walk mall. Outstanding value for the money. Only one thing want to complain is no towels supply when I check in. Have to wait until 6:30pm. I check to this hotel two time, problem had same. Suggest this hotel prepare more towels. Sevice slow. Overall is good. Comfortable hotel. Good environment.

not bad

For the money it was good value particularly the included breakfast. Rooms were comfortable although bathroom was not very clean and it was quite noisy. Pool was small but very nice and the bed was comfortable. Over all a pleasant experience.

Nice hotel close to the beach

My sister and I stayed at Dekuta Hotel for our first 9 nights in Bali. The location was perfect, 2 min walk to the beach and next door to our favourite restaurant, Fat Chow. All the staff were very friendly & helpful.

I picked the hotel based on the closeness to the beach, for the swimming pool & for the excellent rate. The room was good size and very clean.

I would certainly recommend it to others and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Pleasant stay. Breakfast can be improved. The pool need to be clean due to the falling leaves. Wifi not that strong. Need to upgrade. Staff is friendly but need to be more attentive at the front counter.

Dekuta Hotel

It was a nice stay, the staff were extremely helpful, Ena in particular was friendly and kind. The hotel had a great restaurant, and was about 3 minutes to the Beach Front Shopping Centre.
