We have stayed at numerous other hotels and resorts in Bali, this by far is our favourite. The staff are amazing, our room was better than one of our resort rooms, the food was delicious, the pool with swim up bar was awesome. The list goes on. This hotel is very outdated with old sewage system, moldy faucets, slow running tub and sink that are clogged. They used old towels and also are very conservative about giving guest more than 2 towels in the room. They also charge you for dirty towels, even though that’s is part of the hotel’s amenities. So don’t get your towels dirty as they claimed they do not use bleach to clean their towels. The rooms ar not cold enough and there’s always mosquitoes eating you alive at night when you are sleeping. Don’t expect to have a peaceful night of sleep as the surrounding area has live music and parties nightly so if you want to sleep in peace go elsewhere. There are no elevators in this hotel so you will be climbing concrete stairs on a daily. Employees are nice but it was really annoying they keep asking you for your room number everywhere you go on the property. The food and drink serve at their restaurant was just ok. The Kuta location seems a lot nicer.

Our family with young kids stayed here on our holiday and we really enjoyed it! The hotel itself is located in a very convenient spot, a short walk to the beach and within walking distance to many cafes, restaurants and shopping. The hotel is clean and spacious and we loved having a pool when we weren't at the beach. The only thing to note is there may be noise/music at night from the clubs next to the hotel, but it didn't actually bother our family.

Absolutely love this hotel . The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The overall appearance and upkeep of the hotel and grounds was brilliant. Considering covid lockdown and closure of Bali the Adi Dharma hotel rooms were kept immaculate.

Restaurant and pool area are both great.

We recently stayed 5 days at the Cottages and 5 days at the Hotel. We had issues at Cottages with smell and a significantly leaking roof, the smell was not addressed and it became so bad the bathroom could not be used, we did complain and nothing happened. Once the ceiling leaked happened then we were offered to be moved to another room. None were available for a family at the Cottages, we were then moved to the Hotel of a room of the same level, an upgrade would have been nice given the problems. Pool at the Cottage was beautiful, Hotel was a little old and run down. Swim up bar is great in theory but we couldn’t get near it for people sitting at it, loud offensive language and chain smoking, as a non smokers this made us not really want to use the pool. The pool close time of 8:00PM was early and would suggest opening up to a later time. Breakfast was similar at both places, adequate for an included price, maybe Cottage offered a better breakfast menu but Hotel had a buffet if that is more your style. The staff were friendly and helpful and grounds and gardens well maintained and beautiful. If you are looking for a reasonable price, central location then would recommend if you are traveling on a budget.

It was our second stay at Adi Dharna cottages and it was lovely once again. The bed was comfy and nice balcony. Good breakfast with lots of choices either at the cottages or at the hotel which is a nice option. Gardens and pool are lovely also. Recommend to stay here.

Lovely cottages in a great location.

This was my third stay here. The cottages and gardens are lovely. Very balinese which is what I love compared to modern hotels. It is great value for money, rooms are immaculate and have everything you need. Pool is very nice especially with the waterfall. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Adi dharma cottages to anyone. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

A quiet Oasis in bustling Kuta.

Set back from the road in beautiful grounds, built with traditional Balinese touches - a welcome change from many of the generic hotels in the vicinity. There is even a temple on premises and I saw occasional dance performances being advertised. Located close to Kuta bars/shopping with a passage to the beach. The pool was lovely and staff were helpful. Room was very clean; bathroom was a little dated but immaculate with perfect water pressure/hot water. The hotel was quiet with minimal traffic noise but there was a little noise from neighbouring Sheraton bar that stopped around 23:30.

Good location - traditional style cottages in Kuta

Overall a good experience. Room was quiet and relaxing considering the location. Staff were friendly but sometimes a bit pushy in trying to get you to attend their BBQ evenings. We ate at the restaurant on our first night but the food wasn't anything special - considering the options for eating and drinking in Kuta we didn't choose to have dinner there again but for breakfast it was fine.

Just returned from my 10 days stay at Adi Dharma Cottages ..it was perfect ...Great Service ..friendly staff that make u feel at home and leave being family...excellent restaurant with great food..perfect location to everything walking distance ....had a Deluxe Room with private shower (NO BATH) Rm 428 which was perfect for me..very private and quiet on ground floor level...my friend had a Deluxe room Rm 435 on 1st floor with private balcony overlooking the pool area which was beautiful also..highly recommend Adi Dharma Cottages to u..great price for 5 STAR service and location..u wont be disappointed...will definitely going back next year again..thank u Adi Dharma for a perfect holiday..

This hotel is lovely, but depending what your after, for me the surroundings was a bit too busy. I had a beautiful new room at the back of the property, which happened to side the lane way next to eateries and shops, so got a little noisy at times. Having said that, there are some excellent eateries a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast was just basic but adequate. Room was extremely clean and large. overall great value!

Great Location - Old Style Hospitality

Another wonderful stay at the Adi Dharma. This older Bali style establishment offers true old style hospitality. Usually visit 3-4 times a year and the very friendly staff always make me feel welcome at my \"second home\". A big thank you to the owner and staff who organised an appreciation night for the many guests who choose to return every year, a great night with dinner and entertainment on the house, a very nice gesture.. Stayed at the cottages again mainly due to the central location with their very popular restaurant the Nasi Bali situated right on Legian, addicted to their seafood curry served a \"little spicy\" on request. I find the breakfast choice unique too, order from the menu at the Cottages or enjoy the buffet style at the Hotel and only a 2 minute walk away - the choice is yours.. Looking forward to returning there in November, my bag is packed.

I only stay at hotels that offer well maintained rooms that are 100% clean and the Adi Dharma Cottages supply this and much, much more, I have stayed here on five occasions the latest being for 16 days in May and it is the best hotel that I have stayed at anywhere! It is a traditional styled hotel of beautiful buildings including a small temple, it also has lovely serene gardens and pathways sprinkled all through the property that are a delight to walk through.The rooms are large as are the bathrooms, the beds are big & very comfortable and everything you need in the rooms is supplied, a fridge, TV, air con, a room safe, ample closet space, balcony etc and is cleaned every day to a high standard, also plenty of fresh linen is supplied.The staff are all very friendly without being intrusive and are always willing to assist with any request you may have, be it advice on where to change money, transport, tours, shopping, restaraunts, local informatiion.The restaraunt supplies great food & drinks in a relaxed atmosphere with an outlook over the pool area which is very inviting & spotlessly clean, in fact the entire grounds are a delight and a tribute to the staff. I find the hotel to be peaceful & quiet, it doesn't cater to footy teams or schoolie type holidays, but still provides a great venue for adult kids to enjoy the facilities & have a great fun holiday, the Adi Dharma Cottages are great for any type of holiday so stay here with confidence all at very reasonable rates!

Nice hotel, great position

We had a couple of small problems which the hotel staff rectified immediately once we notified them. These were not caused by the hotel staff in any way. I would not hesitate to stay there on any return trip to Bali and would certainly recommend it to my friends and family.

Perfect except the noisy area

The hotel overall was very very good! Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, ok internet, clean and fresch rooms. The only thing was the noise from the Main Street outside, a lot of party and loud music and traffic... So I had a hard time to sleep sometimes, otherwise the hotel was perfect and clean ! And check the area before you go here, I didn't know about all the traffic and that the beach was really dirty.. So if you're looking for sunbathing don't go to kuta, if you're looking for party go here!

Best Service in all of Bali!

This trip was my 6th to Bali, and I have stayed all over the island. I found the staff of Ado Dharma to be the most courteous of all. They were happy to help with any queries and provided reminders about checkout, including time needed to get to the airport and the amount required for departure tax. The cottages are just off Legian street blocked from the street with the restaurant and pool. The location is very convenient, between the beach and shopping/eating off of Legian. A family temple is located on the grounds, a reminder that one is in Bali. My room was comfortable but a little dark. The bathroom was functional, which isn't easy to find.The bed and linens were nice.

I asked for a room in the middle as recommended by other reviewers. The throbbing music begins in the afternoon, but the farther one is from the road the less one notices it. I didn't try the breakfast, but I ate at the restaurant and ordered room service. Thumbs up for the Balinese food. Large prawns are also available and are fresh.

Good quiet hotel in great location

A very enjoyable time was had. Nice grounds and staff. Very quiet as rooms are set well back from Legian St. Close to everything. Good food and great pool/dining area. Definitely stay here again.

Partly satisfied

Opted for this cottage upon seeing the excellent reviews. However, we were disappointed upon our arrival when we were told that our romantic package that only included an additional massage was not made available, though the rates were charged accordingly. Communication with the reception staff was difficult as they were blunt and not giving us any clarification or apology. The day staff are better in that they assured of enquiring in reservation office but no response cameforth afterwards. No information was provided without enquiry even after three days, when we gave up.
laundry was returned only after we enquired of its status.
Rooms were moderate and staff good, but communication was not very easy.
On enquiry for an upgrade, it was bluntly denied by the evening staff even for a few of the days.
Will not return to this establishment.

Totly reccomend this hotel

Arrived just after midnight and the receprion was truely excellent and helpful. Meals we had were cooked fresh. All staff members were helpful at enjoyable all times, rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Pool was well looked after. Location was central but yet far enough away from the busy loud and noisy. Loved it

not what we expected

booked cottages. put us in a room 3 levels up in an ugly hotel style building (last staircase was a dangerous narrow spiral with no rails). sure no cottage!. even though was part of 'cottages' complex. However, the next day I asked to be to be moved to their hotel 200 metres away. They were really good and arranged this. The hotel is lovely - still a nice Balinese feel with lovely pool & gardens and fabulous staff. We would certainly stay in the the hotel again as though it was called a hotel it had that Balinese feel about it and is not a huge modern complex. We would not stay at the cottages which were a real disappointment.

Adi Dharma Cottages has many returning guests. For some it's there second home. The cottages are well maintained and the room we stayed in had been recently renovated.

Great location, fantastic service, great rooms

I cannot fault the cottages, good size and great bathroom. The staff were very friendly and would get and do whatever you wanted. Good breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Would highly recommend, we preferred them to the hotel as they were more homely.
