This is my second stay here and once again I really enjoyed the location, with so many great restaurants and bars within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean. During my first stay the bed was extremely comfortable, however this time it felt quite hard.

The rooftop pool area is beautiful and absolutely incredible at sunset. On Sunday there was free food like satay and spring rolls along with a DJ in the rooftop area, which was a really nice touch. The happy hour cocktails on the roof are some of the best.

Overall, I would definitely stay again. It’s a nice, quiet hotel now, especially since the infamous nightclub next door has closed.

Good location.
Rooftop bar & pool good. Pangy the main barman was lovely, with a friendly fun demeanor. Lucas was also friendly and welcoming.
The rest of the staff were polite.
The bed linen & towels need renewing & the cost to stay on for a few hours was disappointing considering I’d stayed there for two weeks. I was told by reception to look online for a cheaper rate.
I ended up staying elsewhere before my flight.

The Akmani was a lovely hotel. Very clean rooms and property. They had a nice rooftop restaurant and one in the front of the building. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of options. They have a kids play room and a kiddie pool as well. The location is perfect, everything is right outside and very walkable. From dining to shops. I had a great time. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

From the minute we arrived we felt taken care of. Nothing seemed too hard for the staff. Only stayed 1 night but wish we had stayed the entire time we were in Bali. Next time for sure! Special mention to Frits! A good guy! Asset to the hotel!

Only thing to improve it more breakfast options but that’s a very small thing other wise absolutely fantastic.
I got a tattoo done and I know for myself I’m not fused with having tattooed stain sheets. But they offer to put them on the bed unlike other hotels were you can be charged up to $300. I would absolutely recommend this place and we’re already planning on heading back

The staff are very friendly and always greeted my partner and I as we left and returned.

Both pools are kept very clean along with the areas around them.

Room was lovely especially for the price, cleaned daily and our items were placed as they were before the staff freshened up the room

The buffet breakfast was a little lacking, but if you aren’t a fussy snob it’s honestly not bad for the total cost of the stay. The milk tastes a little funny and takes some getting used to but it’s adequate for coffee and cereal, seems to be just how Bali milk tastes as we had similar experiences elsewhere.

They have a really nice koi pond at the reception area and you can feed them which is great for kids!

Plenty of places to eat nearby including “The Pad” which is great for us Aussies 🇦🇺

Overall, I’d recommend this hotel to anyone considering a Bali trip in the Kuta/Legian area.

Had a lovely stay at The Akmani. The staff are friendly, and the housekeeping did such a great job. The bath towels always smelt so nice. They provided 2 bottles of water every day and, if requested, could get more. They have a rooftop bar/swim-up bar. The rooftop bar is pretty awesome with great photos of a beautiful sunrise. The staff up at the bar are so lovely and cheerful and make some amazing cocktails. Every Sunday they have a DJ. I would definitely stay here again and you can’t beat the price. Shops, restaurants and beauty salons all within walking distance.

Rooms are clean on first glance, sheets are not changed throughout stay, we stayed 8days. Bathrooms have visible mould and other build up. Be aware when you turn the shower on each and every time it will smell of sewer.

Its close to all shops, pubs, and restaurant's. Great Walking distant to alot of places easy to get taxi. Staff are very friendly, Pool was cold, breakfast was average, should have two people on egg station due to alot of people waiting. In the bedroom we wish it had a set of draws to put clothes in as we lived out of our suitcase. It did have a small hanging space for our clothes but not enough space or coat hangers . Loved the fact it was 24hr room service.

They don't have enough pool beds for the size of the hotel very hard no cushions , both pools were cold so couldn't use them . breakfast was very limited . My friend and l used to visit other hotels for the day, would definitely not stay there again . On check out they had the nerve to charge $35 for a new single sheet which had ink on from my tattoo . rip off worst hotel ever

Staying at the Akmani Legian Hotel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Bali. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel so welcome with their warm smiles and genuine hospitality. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home, and it’s clear they care about every guest’s experience.

The hotel itself is beautiful – modern, clean, and comfortable – with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The rooftop pool and bar were my favorite spots, offering stunning views over Legian and the perfect place to unwind with a drink at sunset. The rooms were spacious, well-kept, and provided a peaceful retreat after busy days exploring.

What stood out most for me was the atmosphere. It strikes the perfect balance between being right in the heart of Legian’s energy while still feeling like a calm oasis once you step inside. The location is unbeatable, with the beach, shops, and restaurants just a short walk away.

I left with nothing but positive memories and a real appreciation for the team that made my stay so special. I would happily come back here again and recommend Akmani Legian Hotel to anyone visiting Bali – whether it’s your first trip or your tenth, this place will make it unforgettable.

Beautifully maintained but with some quirks

This was the fourth time I’d stayed here over the last 10 years. It was lovely to see maintenance was upheld and the place still felt so fresh. It was, however, disappointing not to receive a hand towel in our room, when we asked the front desk for one the second day, we were told the room we had booked did not come with a hand towel. We weren’t even offered the chance to pay for it. We were here for 6 days, I have never encountered this at any hotel and not even on my previous stays at the Akmani. The bed was really spacious however it was rock solid and we woke up sore every morning.
Superb roof top pool and relaxing common space. We enjoyed this space most nights.

It was like staying in the nightclub. The loud house music starts and resonates throughout the resort from 11am in the morning until late at night. The worse day is the Sunday as they hosts a live DJ which turns the hotel into a night club. I had to almost 'threaten' the staff to bring the music down after 4 hours of arguments. I will never stay here.

HSK doesn't service the room on time, also they are very loud on the corridor. The rooms very small, and walls are paper thin, so you will hear everything even HSK staff chatting around. HSK forgot to refill the body wash, and other items so that I had to call up to service room again.

It's conveniently located in Legian. Room was well-appointed, but the property started showing some ages, but still I have to say that it is quite modern.

Breakfast was average, it might be a good value if included as part of package.

I can't comment on dining options as I dined mostly outside.

Swimming pool is nice, but can be noisy if you stay in the room facing it.

Rootfop bar has a nice view, not the best. Four points by Sheraton has better view. The music is banging house music that vibrates throughout the building starting from 10am until 8pm. I had to make serious complaints to reduce the music.

Nice Room, But Way Too Noisy

The room was clean, modern, and well-appointed – I stayed in a Deluxe room overlooking the pool with a lovely bathtub. The gym is small with just a treadmill, bike, and some weights, so only suitable for basic workouts.

Unfortunately, the noise ruined the experience. Loud music plays from the rooftop, and on Sundays they have a live DJ from 4pm to 10pm – it felt like staying in a nightclub. Most rooms face the pool, so there's no escape from the sound. I asked to speak to a manager, but none was available.

If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing stay, this is not the place.

My original room was horrible it smelt like mould.
They gave me a better room but charged me more money. They also had renovations going on which was so annoying and I think they should be upfront and tell people if this is happening . Would not stay there again.

Staff were super accomodating and helped me organise a scooter rental on short notice.

I was travelling and leaving the area - staff kindly stored my bag safely behind the concierge.

Half the gym was out of order at time of my visit.

Location of the hotel is great - I only rate 4/5 for around the property, this is a reflection of the area in general. Lots of store owners hustling to get you in, randoms on the street trying to offer you all sorts. Can be overwhelming for some if not prepared for this or after a more peaceful holiday stay.

Rooms need to be updated smell of mold! I had a molded bathroom in my first room. The smell winded up being too strong to manage. When We brought it to the staff’s attention they thought providing air fresher was an appropriate fix! However after speaking with them they changed my room.

We requested sheets as we were getting tattoos (have been provided in the past) then got hit with a $140 AUD bill due to small black stains on the sheets. We understand there was stains and happy to pay extra as we expected it but the amount was absolutely absurd. We won’t be returning. The staff were all amazing but the piece of wood feel off in our bathroom and general unkept in some places.

All gym equipment besides the free weights were broken and the area smelt mouldy.

My room had ants on the counter top, rust in the kettle and the hot water did not work.

Only good thing about the breakfast was the staff and omlettes. The buffet was continually empty and coffee was burnt.

Would not recommend the hotel.

Great location, lots of shopping options close by. Plenty of massage places around & so many dining options all within walking distance. Clean & comfortable rooms, good buffet style breakfast with variety & nice clean pool areas. The only downside to our stay was no hot water in the shower of an evening. Had an engineer check 2 nights in a row but was still only just warm, bit annoying & really no explanation given. There weren't too many people around the resort, so can imagine if it was busier!

The property exhibits significant deterioration and outdated amenities. While the breakfast staff exhibited friendliness, a notable number of members were consistently engrossed in their mobile devices.
The pool, although initially tranquil, became increasingly murky towards the end of our stay.
Excessive noise emanated from the rooms during our stay due to ongoing maintenance activities.
The outdoor terrace offered an average experience, and the cocktails, which are customary in Bali, were notably diminutive in size.
In light of these observations, I would strongly advise against booking a stay at this establishment.
Our flight departure occurred late at night. Despite our request to remain in our room until 6 pm, we were charged a $40 late check-out fee, despite the fact that the hotel was not fully occupied.

It is a good spot to stay easy walking distance to so many different spots the rooms are comfortable enough and clean enough nothing amazing but did us just fine. Couple of things which weren’t major but had to ask for towels on numerous occasions they always seemed to have a shortage. The reception are helpful but wouldn’t say they are over the top friendly like we have experienced elsewhere. There is noise from neighbouring nightclubs but it wasn’t enough to keep us up at night. The rooftop bar plays music until around 8pm but again we could hear it but not enough to bother us. Great price and location
