The room was OK, a little cramped at end of bed with a shelf under the TV, made it tricky to walk around bed.
Bed was comfortable and lounge chairs comfy, DVD player was nice to have, coffee and tea nice to have also, Bathroom spacious but tiles in shower very slippery.
No pool just a Jacuzzi (that is what they called it) but no lounging chairs to sit on outside. Breakfast OK.

The location is excellent. Staff is very professional with wonderful helping behaviour. The sad thing about this hotel is the ca parking space which is almost 150 meters away from the hotel. That means we have to walk a good distance to reach the hotel. The room is good with very good atmosphere, The toilet is also neat and clean; but the hot water is not that much hot.

I have used this hotel many years ago and am still happy with this hotel only main problem no hot water. As l was only there one night my shower in the evening was not hot and l tried the tap in the morning and the water never got hot :( disappointing

I booked for 14 days & only stayed 4...I was staying at an”international hotel”...but unfortunately the staff spoke poor English & I couldn’t make international calls because no one new the ‘code’ to unlock the phone...There was only a choice of 4 meals/ drinks..

first time stay, blood on the sheets, i book for 2 single bed(for me and mum) they gave us a queen...the toilet door broken as it didnt close properly, bugs in the room, and sand on the floor....hopefully they look into these problems, they did in the end fix the blood stain bedsheets... not the other problems...

check in was run smoothly and efficient even in the mid night, but when i arrived i get a non smoking room instead what i request are smoking room, but they get me back what i request in tomorrow evening thanks to the management. the staff was so nice easy to find and get grab at this area,everything just nice to stay here room are clean and comfy. will come and stay here again if i visit bali soon. recommmended places to stay

Small rooms with no windows. Air conditioning good and English channels on TV, housekeeping
didn't provide clean glasses or mugs for the whole of our stay and only replenished coffee after we asked. No pool just a jacuzzi and it was very smelly due to close proximity of drains

The rate is fair

First check in ok. Until we walk at second floor after lift opened, it was smoke smell everywhere. When we enter our room is worse. We called the reception. We found that floor is all smooking rooms. We ask to change our room bcoz we with 2.5yo kid. How come the reception give us a smoking room instead? Then they change us to 2 floor. It was the same at rooms area but better than before.

Leaking air conditioning (you will find puddles of water on the floor in the morning), dirty rooms, horrendous food. Almost all the carpentry in the room seems to be falling apart. Fridges don't work.

The moment that takes the cake : an attempt to make me pay for an \"extra bed\" which was brought to the room, laid on the floor and was filthy. It wasn't even a bed. It was just a mattress on a floor. To make matters worse, the mattress brought to me looked like it was salvaged from the junkyard. There was just a mattress sheet separating me from whatever bacterial and insect ecosystem that exists in that thing.

As I found and killed a roach in our first room, so there was no way I will agree to sleeping on the floor. Any human that actually said yes to sleeping on the floor with this arrangement may not value their well being that much. I've stayed in hotels at half the price of Neo that were much miles better than this.

On the plus side, staff was nice.

OK for a transit

There was no parking lot but the free valet parking service was excellent. The check in process was smooth, key was given immediately after you filled in the form, as well as the welcome drink. Room was standard and small but adequate for a short stay. Breakfast was so so, not much variety and the chef didn't know how to make pouched eggs.

Location was nice since you can get easy access to the beach and many taxis available. 24 hours alfamart open just across the hotel.

The letdown was the breakfast were monotonous, limited parking space and my AC was leaking several times.

A modern hotel in a nice area

This place was perfect. A few blocks from the beach, with nice restaurants nearby and also 3 mini-marts and a pharmacy on the same block.

Very nice and friendly staff as well.

My only complaint at all is that that pool is the smallest pool I've ever seen, and it's in a dark corner of the hotel.

Rather Disappointing

Though I must say that I was looking forward to staying at this hotel considering the reviews were great from others. I'd say that I definitely will not be going back here and will not recommend anyone to stay there either; unless you are willing to hangout with cockroaches in your room and bathroom. There was never ending killing of baby roaches on my end and killed some medium sized ones along with waking up with one on the bed.

Not only was the cockroach issue a disappointment, the pool was closed as the front desk claimed \" A project\". None of that was advertised prior to booking. Though the Staff were professional, helpful and willing to assist with everything else.

Don't get me wrong as i personally was not expecting much from the price of the hotel, but simple hygiene is key and the Housekeeping did seem like they spent more then 5 minutes in the room. This is coming from a fellow hotelier and I've stayed at several hotels in Bali over the years; however, i will not be going back again - Hygiene and cleanliness was bad.

I stayed twice at this hotel.
Rooms are small, but since I was travelling alone, it's okay.
I like how they use the space. There's no closet in the room, but you get a space to hang your clothes.
The location is also good for me. It's close to the main street, yet very quiet.
There are some problems in the room.
The first stay I had a room that in the bathroom the water cannot really drain well, so I had to stop the water about every minute to wait for the water draining, otherwise the water will go to the outside floor.
The second room I got, there is no problem with the bathroom. However, there are roaches in the room! First night I saw about 4 roaches in the room and 1 in the bathroom. And day time I went out for lunch, when I came back to the room, I saw roaches again.
Overall, the hotel is okay for the price.

Adequate, clean & well priced - not romantic

The hotel staff were lovely, accommodating and very helpful. The hotel and room were very clean and any issues we took to the front desk were dealt with promptly and efficiently. The location is not ideal and we wouldn't stay there again for that, would rather pay more and be closer to the beach. Didn't like the box room with a window into the corridor - not cool. Suffered really bad jet lag as a result as our bodies had no idea of the timeframe in such a dark room. Pool was awful, don't bother. Oh and ask to be in a quiet room, we had the screams of children running up and down the halls morning and night. The staff tried to stop them but it didn't work. If they become a non family friendly hotel we would recommend it. If you are looking to have a little romance on your holiday don't stay here. Sadly we were - it was our ten year anniversary and our first trip to Bali, we were recommended to stay in the area. However lesson learned, research done. We will revisit Bali just not the hotel.

Best Value For your Money

It has a comfortable bed. I only need to rest and sleep so I do not need a big room. Only few minutes walk to the nearest massage and shopping. Walking distance to the beach too. Over 40 channels on the LCD tv for those who like to spend much of their time in the room.

Those who bring along huge luggages might have some difficulty as the space around the room is tight. Housekeeping is a bit on the downside. I stayed there for 6 nights and everyday the staff will forget to refill something. e.g. on most days no cottonbuds, one day no bottled of water, etc. I also noticed that they do not refill the bath soap at the shower.

On two occasions, there were tiny bugs and little closet cockroaches. I guess it is part of nature where the hotel is situated.

Nice hotel, Good location, really friendly staff. Originally book for 3 nights, but extended by an extra 2. My only real issue was the room had no external Windows. It was a bit noisy early morning around 6 am with families and kids running up and down the corridor, but that isn't really the hotels fault! Overall very good value for money.

The hotel was fine, staff were very pleasant, rooms were nice, AC and wifi worked well, it was a short walk to Kuta beach. I did not use the pool as it was very small and not a lot of room around it. Breakfast was standard fare, again staff were eager to please. The only thing that will prevent me from returning was the absolutely awful smell of the water system. The water is not potable and the smell of the tap/shower water in the bathroom was bad.

This hotel is in a great location in Kuta; not far from the beach and just around the corner from bars/restaurants. There are also several convenience stores; opposite and either side of the hotel.

The breakfast is ok but the other food that is served at the hotel is really good and surprisingly it is reasonably priced. The one thing that lets this hotel down is the pool; it is tiny and merely an afterthought! The rooms are quite small and there isn't much storage space, but they are clean with a fridge, kettle, etc. The wifi signal was fine.

A good hotel if you want a place to dump your bags

Its fine and clean and for $31 booking through expedia you can't go wrong for a place to dump your bags on your first night if you arrive late or a place to do the same on your way out of Bali. Rooms are clean and well maintained but very dark with no outside window. The pool I didn't see but it looked practically indoors. I would only stay here a convenient stop over between better accom thats more in line with the Bali outdoor living lifestyle.

- chic design and layout
- breakfast was decent in variety

Cons:
- sheets had stains on them, didn't seem unclean, but does not make you feel totally assured
- asked for a taxi in the morning from the front desk and the taxi arrived 30 mins late...did not make me feel I could rely on the front desk. Taxis are everywhere and could have stepped out on the street instead.

A very cosy stay with many convenience stores nearby. Had to travel quite a bit for all our activities (e.g. water activities and shopping) but overall it was a very pleasant stay. Would definitely consider coming back to this hotel should i come back to Bali.

Front hotel staff and room service 10/10. Unfortunately the room was not cleaned properly. The room was not properly cleaned after the last guest and I kept an eye on the toothpaste stain next to the sink and it was there the whole stay so that showed they did not clean that area my whole stay which was very disappointing as I did not have this problem on my first stay.
This was my second time here and the last time everything was fantastic but will stay again to give them the benefit of the doubt but if the same thing happens next time I may need too look at not returning. I did advise the front staff about the problem and they said they would pass on my concerns to the manager so hopefully this will not happen again.
I do love their commitment to the environment as they request that you put a card on the bed when you want your sheets changed. 5***** for helping look after the environment.
Although many complain about the small rooms this is a budget hotel and if you want value for money it is great, just keep an eye on your housecleaning but I am sure that the management has addressed my problems as they do strive to give you top service.
Oh also if you love chocolate try the room service chocolate brownies with passion fruit, cream and a Strawberry it is the best you will love it! Have had a couple on each visit.

Cheap but you get what you pay for

If your looking for cheap accommodation then this place isn't too bad. Wouldn't recommend it for the bali experience. Located in the ghetto and pool about the size of a bath tub. Rooms where reasonably clean and for the price it's not too bad but fork out a bit more and you can stay somewhere closer to the beach and with an actual pool. Wouldn't recommend for anything more than an overnighter at short notice.

I suppose I have to mention the lack of breakfast variety that Westerners are used too, Bacon for breakfast would have been a terriffic adition and would have given a much needed addition to the variety.

The pool isnt really advertised, and once I found the pool I realised why, It is actually more like a bath on steroids !

Staff though are excellent and nothing is an issue.
The friendly greeting from the Heart from all staff is a nice touch.

Its only a 300 metre walk and you are on the main street and from there, Well welcome to Bali !

Value for money the hotel is great.

Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, just around the corner to Jalan Legian, about 10 minutes walk to the beach, 3x mini marts on the street, 1 straight opposite. Comfortable beds. Pity the pool area is so small. I initially booked the suite for 3 nights, which is fairly roomy, then decided to stay longer, unfortunately the suite was no longer available so had to transfer to superior room which was still great.

This stay was my 4th time at Neo. I truly enjoy staying here. Location is great, just a short walk from central tourist area and less than 15 minute easy stroll to the beach. Super quiet hotel. Rooms are compact, no closet or storage. Bed super comfortable, linen high quality. Great selection of TV channels = english language. One strange facility factor is lack of hot water in the shower, just seems to be a building wide reality, I asked but never got an answer. Oh well a cool shower felt good. I will definitely stay at Neo on my next visit. Staff truly seem to enjoy making your stay fun.

Pleasant stay at Neo

Hotel staffs were awesome, very polite and helpful. When I told the receptionist that the air con in my room isnt working properly, she sent a technician straight away and by the end of the day they moved us to a different and upgraded room. Check in and check out was easy. Would definitely come back to this hotel again.

Hotel Neo Kuta-Jelantik

The hotel is a bit small, room was compact - barely enough to put our luggages & clothings.
However the staff were all pleasant and courteous.
Breakfast was adequate.
The Wifi was good.
Quite close to shopping streets of Legian.

Excellent Budget Hote

Our room was delightful and very clean. We struggled to find anywhere to put our suitcases though, and there is nowhere to unpack your clothes, no drawers or cupboards, just a little rack with 6 coat hangers on a wall. The room service was good and they provide you with toiletries such as ear buds, shower caps, shower gel, and you are also provided with a hair dryer. Iron and board, electric adapters, and extra coat hangers, pillows, etc are available on request. The pool is very very small and while some people gave that a negative mark, we actually thought it was a positive! We didn't have to share it once! :) It is in a private area, there is enough room for two loungers and it was perfect. It was also very clean, salt water, and being little, it was sandwiched between the hotel and the fence....now anyone who has ever been to Bali knows that the pools over there are little more than oversized bathtubs as the heat there makes the water extremely warm and not so inviting! Not so at Neo!! The pool hardly got the sun and as such, was deliciously cold and very refreshing both during the day and at night! BONUS!! :) We were on the 6th floor and had no problem with street or neighbour noise. The hotel itself was very modern and the staff did an outstanding job of keeping us comfortable! They even surprised us both by singing happy birthday and providing a gorgeous little cake, so nice of them! :) Great value budget motel, close to everything!

Best choice for stay in Legian

Hotel location is near to Legian, just walk for 10 minutes to Kuta Beach. The staffs are friendly and great room. Recommended for people who want to enjoy Legian and Kuta beach

Size of a shoebox! And pool isn't what you think

So we booked the hotel based on location and the look of the hotel.
Beware the rooms are tiny and water is freezing cold! Bed is comfy though.

All pictures on their website shows them looking big and spacious but this is not the case! Soooo small.

Staff were wonderful. The location is literally in he middle of a random street but it's a quick walk to both kuta and legian.

We almost it robbed as there is no lighting out the street at night.

The pool! Omfg they have a picture of next doors pool as the pool picture! They claimed it's \"the view of next door\" I'm calling bull***** on that it's called false advertising! The pool is bath size and my boyfriend could reach all walls when e stretched out!

Good location, great service

Location is good, the service is great, the rates are fantastic and room service is really cheap! Room is small but larger than I expected. Not a big fan on the lack of view/window but what can you expect for the price.
